Dear Gav, if you are saved, ask God to forgive you of those addictions and the sins you have committed and repent from them--that is, turn away from them with God's help and never take them up again.

Psalms 139:23, 24 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Galatians 5:22-24 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Psalm 25:4 Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

Now, I would ask: have you been born again? There is no peace without Christ. This is how to be saved:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:9-13.

"As it is written, 'There is none righteous, no, not one.'" ( Romans 3:10)

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." ( Romans 3:23)

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." ( Romans 6:23)

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." ( Romans 5:8)

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." ( Romans 10:13)

Dear Monica, below is what the Bible says about being saved. Please do call on His name and be saved and then share your experience with those you know so that they can also be saved from the damnation of hell.

Dear Derek, we are all sinners, even the born-again are sinners saved by grace. Romans 3:23,24 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

There's nothing we can do to EARN righteousness. Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." The only righteousness God sees in you is the blood of Jesus.

However, when we are born again, Jesus calls us to do the works of His will. James 2:17

"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone."

What are those works? Jesus said in John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments." Do what he did on earth such as is possible for a person to do. That is, minister unto others when God points out someone's need. Pray for yourself, and for others. Read and study your Bible, and heed whatever the Holy Spirit tells you to do.

    God Bless!

Dear Dawn, no matter what happens, the most important thing for you to do is be born again, because NOTHING else matters. Rich people with everything or poor people with nothing with go to hell without Jesus.

    To be born again:

"As it is written, 'There is none righteous, no, not one.'" ( Romans 3:10)

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." ( Romans 3:23)

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." ( Romans 6:23)

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." ( Romans 5:8)

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." ( Romans 10:13)

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:9-13

Don't hesitate to ask Jesus to forgive you, repent of your sins--that is, turn away from delibertly commiting sin. And be baptised to show publicly that you have been born again.

Myfarewellmessagetothissite Matthew 10:14, Luke 9:5. God tells me to go back and convince one more time the people reading this site-must know that God sent his only begotten Son to destroy sins. He died once for all of us Galatians 3:28 in a very powerful way. A pattern that is similar in the Old Testament-sacrificial shedding of blood of the lamb. God knows we cannot save ourselves. So we need a Saviour Jesus Christ. He did it for us All. My prayers are to help everyone understand this basic concept and many will be saved. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. We do not believe in vain, nor we put the work of ALL apostles, most especially Paul who was the last apostle to write plethora of information for everyone to be saved. Remember the Bible is complete by itself. God gave us a free gift of grace Romans 5:15-18. The ten Commandments are for us to see how sinful we are. That is why Paul calls it a schoolmaster Galatians 3:24-25. So when you believe, trust and have faith in Jesus Christ's blood that He shed for our sins Romans 3:25; 1 John 2:2; 1 John 4:10 we die with Him Galatians 2:20. That is the baptism without submerging yourself into the water Acts 1:5, Acts 10:47,Roman's 6:3, Galatians 3:27, 1 Corinthians 10:2. We are not divided Christians 1 Corinthians 1:13-16, 1 Corinthians 12:13. Once you are saved you are sealed Ephesians 1:13, 2 Corinthians 1:22, John 6:27. Jesus sent Paul to seal us Gentiles Romans 15:28. So grieve not Ephesians 4:30. When the Holy Spirit is in you you do not want to commit sin, if you do, you are letting your old self to dominate your spirit. We are walking in the Spirit of God. God already won. Do not let Satan defeat you (on going Spiritual warfare) that is why let every thought to be with God 2 Corinthians 10:5. I came back to fulfill with the help of the Holy Spirit to ask that you trust only Jesus and not yourself here on earth. Let Jesus do the rest. It is indeed true OSAS.Sealed is sealed. You reap what you sow on earth. Peace&joy to ALL.

Hello! I'd like to point out that when one of the Apostles asked Jesus Christ to teach him how to pray, he instructed them all, and us by association, to pray to God Luke 11:1-13. To wit, we are to pray to God, our Father, not to Mary.

We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23. Therefore, we have all broken God's ten commandments. When we break one, we are guilty of breaking them all, James 2:10-20.

Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He told Nicodemus that a man must be born again to enter Heaven, John 3:3. No man comes to the Father but by Jesus, John 14:6.

    To be born again:

Romans 10:9-13 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Luke 23:43

Acts 1:25; John 17:12 Judas Iscariot is the son of perdition. He went to his own place. Revelation 17:8

    Isaiah 5:14

    Romans 16:25-27

John 3:16 I pray many will be saved. Keep the Faith, trust only and believe in the blood of Jesus Christ. Nobody can save themselves. We give glory to God for He gave us a free gift, a gift of Grace, the grace of God that is available to all.

    Dear Nats:

Even if I say Giannis has explained it very well, if you not "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." 2 Peter 1:20-1. I can only perceived by reading "Nats if Jesus is God" you are still searching if Jesus Christ is God. I would be happy to show you how to be saved and obtain the Holy Spirit. Only then the verses you have inquired about will make sense to you because the Holy Spirit will guide you to the truth.

In John 10:36 Jesus Christ himself said He is the Son of God. If you read the entire conversation between the unbelieving Jews and Jesus Christ they will not believe no matter how anybody explained it to them. It is already prophesied in Isaiah 6:9-10, Isaiah 42:20; Jeremiah 5:21; Acts 28:27; Roman's 11.8

In John 14:28 the situation was that Jesus was about to fulfill another prophesy and that was to die on the cross for the sins of the world 1 John 2:2. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Colossians 2:2-3. When Jesus was buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures, Jesus fulfilled what God the Father sent Jesus to do on earth. The mystery is that God the Father is greater than Jesus the Son of God. Remember Jesus came to Virgin Mary from God the Father. Then Jesus has to go unto the Father after Jesus rose the third day so the Comforter (i.e. Holy Spirit) will be fulfilled. John 14:16; John 14:26; John 15:26; John 16:7. There is only one God. Romans 3:30; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:6; 1 Timothy 2:5; James 2:19. Hope this helps and that you be saved soon. Good question.

    Galatians 6:15,

Please see context: Deuteronomy 10:16, Deuteronomy 30:6, even in old testament men have argued their holiness, set apart status, (in the flesh) yet GOD said even then; it's about the heart. Jeremiah 4:4, Jeremiah 9:25, = Romans 2:29, Romans 3:30, Romans 4:11, 1Corinthians 7:18,

    Galatians 3:28,

They were still arguing circumcision, not equality in GOD. Acts 11:2, Galatians 2:12,

    New= 2Corinthians 5:17,

    Hopefully these are helpful

Dear John, be not afraid, if you have taken Jesus as your Lord and Savior, He will not send you to the bad place (Hell) for doing or saying something wrong for it says in Romans 3:23 "We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God." When we sin, 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

We can never lose our salvation by failing our Lord. 2 Corinthians 1:22 "Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts."

God bless you and keep you, John.

    Hi Mae.

    Part 1.

Yes salvation is by grace alone.

    Romans 3:28.

    Galatians 2:16.

Every verse emphasizing salvation in the Bible presents this grace when read in context.

When the Lord judge the quick and the dead you are going to have to present yourself spotless!!

THAT MEANS NOT JUST REFRAINING FROM SIN, NOT EVER EVEN THINKING OF COMMITTING SIN. ( EVER!!!) Sin is in the Heart. The penalty of sin is death.

We had to be bought by THE "UNBLEMISHED" BLOOD OF CHRIST.

When we attempt to add our works/filthy rags to Christ unblemished sacrifice those filthy rags shows up at the judgment seat alone without Christ and is rejected.

That's what Jesus is saying in Matthew 7:22-23.

Man working for salvation doesn't change the Heart of Man. The Lord came to give a new Heart, not repair the old one.

    Let's look at Ephesians 2.

    Notice what's highlighted.

Ephesians 2:3-5. Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, FULFILLING THE DESIRES OF THE FLESH AND OF THE MIND; AND WERE BY NATURE THE CHILDREN OF WRATH, even as others.

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Even when we were dead in sins, hath QUICKENED us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

We "WERE" by nature children of wrath. What happened? We were QUICKENED!!

    Notice the order of events.

Ephesians 2:8-10. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

For we are his WORKMANSHIP, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS UNTO GOOD WORKS, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Now let's take this mindset to the book of James and see what he is actually saying.

    See part 2.

Yes my Dear brother Marke. This is true, but why say this? We are all sinners in this world but when we find the Father and Jesus and try to walk in righteousness thru FAITH we are all forgiven. The Lord knows all mans (444) Hearts. Even yours.

When the adulteress women was found guilty what did Jesus say? He said let him who has never sinned cast the first stone. Now Jesus who had never sinned, did he accuse this women or put her to Death? No he forgave her of her sins and asked her to sin no more.

Jesus came into her life and if this happened to you would you Sin again or at least try to walk righteous in approval of the Lord?

    Romans 3:25.

It is up to US all not to accuse or judge but to Praise the Gospel and TEACH it so all become touched by our FAITH thus trying to do no wrong anymore and walk so we and others are irreproachable (423). Blameless, Unrebukeable.

    Blessed Marke Brother.

    Douglas Borchard,

This prophecy gives the precise time of the first coming of the Messiah. You will receive different understandings of this, it is a study that will take much time. this is just a little information you may use to help your study.

Many put the last week of this prophecy at the end times. It is used for the 7 years of tribulation, a peace treaty with the antichrist (he in verse 27) for 3 1/2 years then 3 years of great tribulation with the taking of the church somewhere between (pre, mid, post).

"Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, (70 weeks, 70 x 7 = 490 solar years or 483 prophetic years) on the house of Israel (Daniel's people) and the holy city (Jerusalem). It started from "the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem", make a note, that the rebuilding of the temple is not in this prophecy.

Here are a few verses that may help your study and if this prophecy has been fulfilled or not.

    1. To finish the transgression Isaiah 53:5, 8 Isaiah 53:11 Hebrews 9:15-18

    2. To make an end of sins Matthew 1:21 Hebrews 10:8-11 John 1:29 1 Corinthians 15:3

    1 John 3:5 Psalm 32 Romans 8:3

    3. To make reconciliation for iniquity Colossians 1:20-22 Isaiah 53:6 Isaiah 53:11 Ephesians 2:16 ( Titus 2:14 2 Corinthians 5:18-19

    4. To bring in everlasting righteousness Romans 5:17-21 Romans 3:21-26 1Peter 2:24

    2 Corinthians 5:21 Isaiah 61:10-11

    5. To seal up vision and prophecy Daniel 9:23 John 6:27 Mark 1:14-15 Acts 3:18

    John 5:36-40 Matthew 11:11-15

    6. To anoint the most holy Hebrews 8:1-12 Hebrews 9:6-14

The six things that were determined on Daniel's people and the holy city in this 70-week prophecy; did the Messiah/Jesus fulfill?

    God bless,

    Hanna Fowler,

Sometimes we have to find out who we are not, & who we don't want to be, before we find out who we are. I've told several people at times before testings & temptation we can say "I'd never" but as Peter under the real pressure gave in, we really don't know how we handle trial & temptation until testing. (We're to pray that God deliver us & lead us not into temptation ' Matthew 6,) Luke 22:31-34, Luke 22:40-62, Matthew 26:75, John 21:17, later Peter became a bold preacher read all the book of Acts to see Peter's boldness afterward. Here's a few: Acts 2:38-47, Acts 2:14, this is in the Bible for those of us who need this encouragement. Also this scripture : Luke 7:47, in context Luke 7:37-50,

Here are a few more: Mark 1:15, Acts 2:38, John 3:15-16, Acts 3:19, Romans 3:22-25,

Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

    Ephesians 5,

Ephesians 5:8 "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord: walk as children of the light."

    Matthew 7, Matthew 25:31-46, 2Corinthians 1:4,

    Hopefully these are all helpful

Dear Pius Joseph JD, The only thing that will send you to hell is rejecting Jesus Christ as Savior. In remorse for your sins and willing to repent of them, ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins, and He will give you a new heart.

This is what the Bible says about being born again.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:9-13

    Brothers in Christ,

I truly understand each one's point of view. If I may share my thoughts that made me know I am saved.

I read the entire animal blood sacrifices in the Old Testament for the atonement of sins and sanctification ( cleansed or washed away sins). Then one day I realized that the greatest gift our generation could ever received was the blood of Jesus Christ, ( a parallel sacrifice for our generation) to be our propitiation ( i.e. an act of appeasing wrath). I could have been put to death for my own sins, but instead Jesus Christ took upon himself my sins and others to save me and all of us from the wrath of God and give us an eternal/ everlasting life. Then make us live in the Kingdom of God here on earth.

    1 John 4:10

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

    Romans 3:25

    Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

    1 John 2:2

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Then I realized I have to keep that Holy Spirit in me. I cannot explain how I started to read the Bible like my life depends on it. This happened on 11/11/21 when I know I was saved.

Since I was young I know I have some peculiar things happenings to me. I cannot explained them, but now I understood the God given gift of discernment. That is why at such a young age I made God as my best friend. People will say or do something that I know in my heart was wrong. I cannot explain then, but now God made it clear to me.

In conclusion, Jesus Christ is in me. I know.

    Galatians 2:20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

The doctrine of election is described as the "total depravity" of man according to the "TULIP" acronym which was credited toward; but not originated with Calvin's set of beliefs on predestination as one of the elements. Simply put; Christ looked down also and saw that there was no man in Isaiah 63:3; thus he renders justice and we are only made right through His sacrifice. If anyone else could have done it; surely Christ wouldn't have to die on the cross; or have to pray that if possible the cup would be spared

( Luke 22:42). It is obvious from scripture that "all men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God". ( Romans 3:23). There are; of course many other verses in both Testaments on that subject.

We could say that since Revelation indicates the fate of ALL who are NOT written in the Book of Life is to worship Antichrist ( Rev. 13:8) we all are going to turn away as your quoted verse in Psalms indicates. Obviously; some do come to God; but since repentance is a gift according to scripture ( Acts 11:18); and faith is also mentioned as such in Ephesians 2:8; it becomes clear that all good gifts come from above ( James 1:17).

This doesn't absolve our personal responsibility; and part of this mystery of election involves man's response or lack thereof to the same evidence at least with external appearance. The sticking point comes as indicated when Christ said "why do you call me good"? ( Mark 10:18). Seeing Him as God in the flesh only comes through Divine revelation ( Matthew 16:17). Others see Him as a "good teacher; Prophet or something else as the earlier verses in that passage indicate. Those people are not "spiritually discerned" ( 1 Cor. 2:14).

Finally; going back to Noah we have the lack of salvation available for hybrid offspring of the fallen angels; as well as those angels themselves. Therefore; a universal destruction occured; except for Noah "perfect in his generations" ( Gen. 6:9). This indicates pure human seed; not sinless
  • Donna - In Reply - 3 years ago
Mike, I'm praying for you but I have a question. What did you mean exactly when you said " while I was still good"?

I'm just wondering because our perceived goodness doesn't win us any merit with God. Salvation isn't about how good we are. We can't earn our way into God's kingdom with our goodness or works that we do. It's about how much God loves us. I'm just gonna keep this short and give you two scriptures that come to mind. Make that three.

Jobs wife said " Do you still retain your integrity? ,why don't you just curse God and die!" Needless to say she got replaced.

    #1 Read JOB 2:9

Job did not sin with his lips bringing accusation against the Lord.

    #2 Read Romans 3:10

No one is righteous, nope, not me, not you. God owes us nothing. All of our righteousness is as filthy rags. Salvation is a gift. And friendship with the world is enmity with God. Prosperity is a false gospel. But if you'll seek Gods kingdom with your truest heart, He will give you the truest desires of your heart. He knows better than you what will make you happy.

I don't believe that Jesus threw you in to a pen with wolves. That doesn't sound like Jesus. But the devil is the adversary. He roams the earth seeking whom he may devour. We cannot be saved our way. We must do it the Bible way. Submit to the Lord. Repent or perish, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

    #3 Read John 3:16

It's all about His love for us. God sent His Son to take our sin. That's the gift. That our souls would not perish.

So much for keeping it short right?

Let me ask you this question in closing.

Do you honestly think that if you would have been blessed With houses and cars and wives and children and money raining from the heavens and friends and FB followers that you would even be seeking the Lord at all? Be honest with yourself.

    Here's a bonus scripture :-)

    Read Mark 8:36

All you have to do is touch the links to the scriptures I've referenced and they will open.

Dear Joy, if you have been born again, He is your Father and your Friend.

    How to be born again.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:9-13

You weren't specific about what verse from James. Keep in mind James is written to the 12 tribes of Israel. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The bible does say that God does hate certain sins above others.

    Dear Victor,

If you are saved, form the habit of daily devotions--praying and reading the Bible, including studying the Gospel of John which teaches Jesus's deity, and what the Apostles Peter and Paul wrote about growing strong in our walk with Christ Hebrews 5:11-6:12, 1 Cor. 3:1-4, 10-15, Eph 4:11-16, 1 Pet. 2:1-3, 2 Pet.1:3-10. When you sin, ask forgiveness and repent from ever doing it again. Jesus's blood is sufficient to cover all your sins. 1John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Ask Him to search your heart, know your thoughts to see if there be any wickedness in you, and show you the way to walk. Psalms 139:23, 24 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Confess, repent, and your sins will be blotted out.

If you are not born again, that is, not saved, here is the way to salvation:

"As it is written, 'There is none righteous, no, not one.'" ( Romans 3:10)

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." ( Romans 3:23)

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." ( Romans 6:23)

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." ( Romans 5:8)

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." ( Romans 10:13)

Dear David, the Bible is clear about forgiveness of sins: 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." This verse is to assure that our sins are forgiven when we become born again and that when we sin after being saved.

I've met many atheists who've come to Christ. They have more hope than we sometimes give credit for as they're searching for answers. Most naturalist atheists I've met are more than willing to sit down and talk about the word of God. Those who have no political attachment tend to be more open to listening to the Gospel. I'd let her know that if she's your friend (your sister) that you love her and there's only truth in love. Tell her that the truth is simple. If we complicated the Truth, it would be hard for anyone to accept Christ Jesus. But here's that simple Truth of Salvation:

Titus 1:2, "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, PROMISED before the world began."

Acts 13:39, "And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses."

[Law cannot justify, you can't justify your self, philosophy and religion cannot justify you...only justification through the Blood of Christ Jesus]

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" ( Romans 3:23)

    Romans 10:8-13

    "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him."

The religious of this world seek to complicate the simple Truth (Salvation) of Christ with doctrines, sacraments, laws, pre-requisites and but these verses are Truth and the Truth shall set you free.

13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
