One thing, I know that thinking that divorced people are to remain single is sad to think about in some ways, but it is also sad to think about single people who have never married and really want to be married. I have a brother wo is my age who as never married. He probably once wanted to find someone to love all his life, but didn't find that one person. I have another brother who is divorced and has been single for over 20 years now. Being single in either situation is not a bad thing. God can use people in this situation and fulfill them as well. It is not any more burdensome for divorced people to remain single as it is for someone who never married as far as singleness goes. (If children were born of the marriage, that is its own heartache). God is able to be with single adults in wonderful ways just as with married adults.
Being single allowed Paul to fulfill his call to bring the to so many different parts of the known world at that time. If he was married, he would be divided between his obligation to his family and is obligation to is calling.
Yes, I do agree that some things are really in God's hands. I don't talk to those who are divorced and remarried about this because I am not their judge and I think that it is the pastors/leaders responsibility to teach on this from Scripture, not me. Yet, most pastors avoid teaching on it, so congregants must go to Scripture to learn what Scripture says.
I predict that pretty soon, churches will no longer support the idea that sex outside of marriage is sinful (many already have). And then next, that homosexuality is sinful (Some already have). What is next after that? We are quickly sliding down the slipper slope in this generation.
I don't think we are dealing with habitual pride or hypocrisy here. Most of us want to have God's view on this subject.
But, yes, any habitual sin should be repented of and a person should allow the Holy Spirit to work that habit out of teir daily lives. That is what the Holy Spirit does in sanctifying us.
God Bless.
I don't any of us said that such people in such a relationship cannot be forgiven. What we are saying is that the relationship will continue to be sinful as long as they are involved in it. The fact that we are forgiven for our daily sins does not make our sinful actions unsinful. I will own this idea. Scripture does teach us that we are not to be involved in ongoing sinful actions. No matter how many times we repeat a sin, it will never become good. Therefore, I believe that those divorced and remarried people who continue to be married and whose divorce does not fit under the exceptions Jesus stated are continuously living in sin, just like someone who have relations with their boyfriend or girlfriend before marriage. Just because they love each other does not make the relations unsinful they cease having relations when they are not yet married. (The church today even gives a pass at this type of relationship in many instances.) Like I said, many believers are ok with divorce and remarriage for any reason because it does not offend US. It used to, but so many have adopted the world's view instead of the view Jesus stated.
We can all confess and be forgiven of our daily sins, but I personally would find it hard to continue in a sexual relationship that Jesus has said is adulterous, even if I can confess and be forgiven each day.
As to people who were unbelievers when they divorced and remarried, or were unbelievers when they divorced and believers when they remarried, I really don't know what to think about that. In the early church, many believers were involved in polygamous relationships. I don't know what the church leadership taught these people to do, whether to remain polygamous or to select one wife to stay with and divorce the others.
So, as I have said, this is one subject that we deal with often in our society and fellowships. I don't know the absolutely correct answer or approach. That is why I value the opportunity this forum provides.
You can also do a word or phrase search in this app. It is very helpful.
I pray GOD give us HIS holy desires in our hearts that are pleasing to HIM. Psalms 12-14,
I believe you are correct.
I would like the opportunity to further elaborate on the issue. We a start off on different journeys as did Paul and Peter.
There's a growth process at we begin as babes in Christ.
Per adventure you take two married couples genuinely seeking the Lord, One group ends up under great spiritual leadership, The other not so and never finds rest in Christ early on. Ends up in a divorce, remarries have a clear and remorseful understanding of his error and ( HAVE A REPENTED HEART). Serve the Lord through the working of the spirit, The fruit of his labor express that. Now we begin to see maturity in that person by the repentance he has displayed.
I don't think this falls under habitual sin.
What is repentance? To turn from something and to see and feel the way God does about the matter. AND THAT'S DONE BY THE SPIRIT! And the Lord will judge man's heart and intent and Motives as only he can. We should be careful in wanting the Lord to draw out a plumb line on people's lives. We all continue to come up short in regards to perfection whether you are in habitual sin or not.
How do we measure habitual pride?
or habitual hypocrisy?
Let's consider something.
A few weeks ago we discussed that this site is just a forum and not a Church setting. After carefully vetting and studying Matthew 18:15-20.
I, Myself made an mistake. WE "THE REGENERATED" ARE THE CHURCH! AND WE ARE GATHERING! AND MINISTERING, ( AND THE LORD IS IN THE MIDST) We may not be formal but when you don't function under proposed guidelines for the Church in scripture you see the same consequences!! That was brought to my attention via observation.
"If" this is true we should tread lightly and beware of that plumb line.
God bless.
the truth shall make you free! A truth can change with conditions or circumstances, The truth of Gods word
are ETERNAL. Remember in Genesis One word made the difference Thou shalt surely Die, Thou shall Not
surely die!
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
Too many Christians spend time arguing about this topic, I find it nothing more than a distraction, the Bible also mentions the 4 corners of the earth ( Rev 7:1), but, I have yet to meet anyone who thinks the earth is square rather than understanding the Bible is referring to the 4 directions of the compass.
I did find this interesting though, the Biblical Hebrew word for "circle" (-chuwg) can also mean "round" or "sphere."
I don't have a dog in this fight so it doesn't matter to me either way, and it sure won't matter when God creates a new heaven and new earth, hope this helps.
one who has none. Verse 7 a youth void of understanding [this word means no heart] who is lured by someone
with no heart and the ends are destruction to his soul.
Genesis 2:7 God formed man of the dust of the ground. In true science nothing is ever lost it changes state like
when were gathered together in perfect bodies incorruptable the best state.
Babylon attacked Jerusalem three times; the first time Nebuchadnezzars father was king. Nebuchadnezzar, heir to the throne of Babylon, invaded Judah and forced Jehoiakim to pay tribute. Daniel/Belteshazzar, Hananiah/Shadrach, Mishael/Meshach, and Azariah/Abednego were among the first, noble captives from Judah. This was around 607-606 BC, Nebuchadnezzars farther died in 605 BC, he then became king. Chapter 2 would have been around 603BC.
Hope this helps.
God bless,

Certainly the different "races" came from the descendants of Noah and family after the flood, since his family is the only people left alive after the flood. There were a few generations from the sons of Noah to the Tower of Babel incident.e
I believe that the dispersment of peoples after the Tower of Babel was the major factor in the development of "racial" diversity among humans. I believe that God intervened in the gene pool to select out specific genes for specific groups of peoples to become dominant (i.e. eye color, air color and texture, skin tone, height, facial features). These genes wee present in Noah's DNA but God had to "turn them on" in future generations for them to manifest in certain groups.
Genetics is pretty fascinating. I read about this "turning on or off of genetic markers". I think that God is in control of this turning on and off of certain attributes in people when he create a new person at conception.
I have seen photos of Negroid children with blonde hair and blue eyes, Asian children with blue eyes, etc. So the genetic possibilities are there for God to select. We are all one race with the same genes that can be expressed differently to produce variants of features. These variants do not change anyone's humanness, just how they look outwardly.
By dispersing mankind across the world, God produced such variations repeated in select people groups according to the regions they migrated to, perhaps as an aid for the peoples to adapt to the climate and environment they migrated to or as a way to distinguish one group from another when they interacted. But then again, we really cannot know God's reason for this, on'y speculate.
responsible for them. These four were very close praying for each other when the pressure was on and not once
doubting under life threatening circumstances.
God bless.
As long as the marriage to a second person exists they 'Always Continuously commit adultery'? They CANNOT be forgiven? Of course this is UNscriptural, as there is only 'ONE' UNpardonable sin; ie
"Wherefore I say unto you, ALL Manner Of Sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against The Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men." Mat 12:31
Thus, there CANNOT be TWO 'UNpardonable sins,' Correct?
And ONE 'other' doctrine? ie
Of course, this 'thinking' is no surprise, as Many believe there are TWO 'baptismS' for us, today, Under God's PURE GRACE, when God teaches there is 'Only' ONE Baptism:
Link
Thus, I thank God For His UNsearchable Riches Of Truth that "CHRIST died for ALL of my sins, and was Resurrected, According To The Scriptures," for my ETERNAL life! Amen?

would screw up [but not meLOL] knew divorce would occur because people would be tricked by hardening their
hearts on the word. Even in the age of the church of grace God again covered 1 Corinthians 7 starting verse
10 +11 speaking about believers. Then verse 12-16 the change talk about grace if either husband or wife believe
not and one chooses to part from the other or they decide to stay together and are blessed we are called to peace.
Now the mind blower the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband and vice versa and even their children
together were unclean now there sanctified or set apart. So God didn't change in His idea of marriage originally
wanting the two to stay together but look what's again covered in the age of Grace! Paul had to address a lot of
off the wall practices in the churches at that time, which God obviously knew was going to continue to occur due
to mans unbelief. But there again look at whats overlooked By God through Christ Jesus our lord. Unfortunately
Grace is WIDELY ABUSED OR TAKEN FOR GRANTED! My perspective We WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND FULLY
UNTIL FACE TO FACE WHAT WE HAVE IN THIS SPECIFIC TIME IN GODS TIME TABLE!
in Christ, that being said we do not walk or live by the spirit 24/7 that's the context. When we walk in that
fellowship with God we don't commit sin, but when we don't that's is sin. That's what is being talked about.
Inner man Perfect Christ ,Outer man sense corrupt battle that rages in us between the natural man and
spiritual man. No body except Jesus Christ ever walked spiritual perfect 24/7, just thinking about that always
blows my mind!
it the way they want or think then they say do or practice this or that to get closer to God, that is taking what God said
originally and making it of no effect! Religion is looking righteous, christianity is walking by the righteousness of
God in Christ Jesus. Religion clean on outside Christianity clean by His Gods Spirit inside!
Your NEEDS, not necessarily your wants - important difference. God knows your needs!
Matthew 6:26
"Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?"
In Christ.
In chapter 2, it was recorded that the king (Nebuchadnezzar) dreamt in the second year of his reign. So the question is, did this event (of the dream, its revelation and interpretation by Daniel) occur while Daniel and the other three (mentioned above) were still "in school" or was it another King named Nebuchadnezzar after Cyrus as stated in the last verse of chapter 1.
The clarification requested borders around the chronology of events, to know if Daniel had revealed and interpreted the dream before himself and the friends were introduced to the king after the 3 years of schooling?
Thank you for the anticipated clarification.
