Terry, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

There is only ONE LIFE, and that life is CHRIST.

Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine, the soul that sinneth (believes not that Jesus come to destroy DEATH and the GRAVE and replace it with LIFE (CHRIST), IT SHALL DIE.

In Christ; LIFE. Not in Christ; DEATH.

Raquel. May CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the SAVIOUR OF ALL MEN, specially those that BELIEVE.

1 Timothy 4:11 These things COMMAND AND TEACH.

1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have (not maybe) ALL MEN TO BE SAVED, and come to the knowledge of TRUTH (CHRIST)

1 John 4 :14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father (THE WORD) SENT the SON TO BE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me VOID, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I SENT IT.

Revelations 15:4 ...for ALL NATIONS shall come and worship before thee...

Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth SHALL WORSHIP HIM, whose names ARE NOT WRITTEN in the book of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Jesus was SENT by his FATHER to be the saviour of the world; HE WILL NOT FAIL!

Hi Spencer, Amen brother! And I was reading all the comments on William's question to my 10 y.o. son and my fiancee with hairs standing up because I'm jumping up and down in the Lord. Rarely, and I mean almost never have I seen an online conversation go this way. You can feel the love and respect we all have for God and each other. I especially loved the way Heidi recognized what was wrong and responded with such humility. She recognized that she offended some (I'll be honest I was offended and I needed to reply because William is in the Word and asking what's the best place to be and Heidi's comment would have taken him somewhere else) and that could've gone alot of different ways. But Heidi chose to glorify God and to acknowledge his Word the bible as our lifeline and focus and never mentioned anything else about some other book (don't know the book so I won't comment on whether it is helpful or not). I learned something seeing her response to our comments it was very humble and the way we should all respond, and I am no longer offended thank you sister. Thank you all for your time and responses this is how a discussion between brothers and sisters should be like. Love you all in Christ. Have a great day Spencer, Sasha, Heidi, William and whoever else sees this may the Lord strengthen your inner man and may we all acknowledge the Truth in his Word.

Psalms 145:17-21 The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works.

The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth.

He will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him: He also will hear their cry, and will save them.

The LORD preserveth all them that love Him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless His holy name for ever and ever.

    2 Corinthians 1:21-22 Now He which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;

Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

Philippians 2:13-16 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

    That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

  • Ronald L Whittemore - In Reply - 5 years ago
Hi Sacha, it started in the fourth century, along with many other things in that century. We know one sin is no deadlier than another and "The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law". But the gift of the grace of God by the faith of Jesus Christ we will not be judged by the law.

If you pull up the eight evil thoughts it should give you the Catholic history of it. Love your posts, you keep it real; we need more of.

    Mishael,

I have never lost my Christian faith in Jesus, I have questions that you accept as sacrosanct. The Bible is not settled science, a collection of opinions, shrouded in multiple meanings. I just will not accept that Jesus would destroy his wayward children, fill their heads with torment and anguish. I question if Jesus will send souls to hell, or if it's hyperbole to control the masses from anarchy. I wonder about those who unwittingly take the mark, under duress, not knowing what they've done to protect themselves. God says He will completely blot these people out, REALLY?

Humans are not the smartest, and perhaps it might not take me that long to agree that God kills slack Christians even if He loves them to the second death. Preposterous. Everyone will rejoice with one another, ex-friend and ex-foe. What's believable, and what most refuse to believe, is God puts on His abomination of desolation and removes 2.5+ Billion people, indiscriminately. That is the mass killing I expect. It's going to be the greatest show on earth, and the dead will be resurrected at the end, recycled pure as the driven snow. The lake of fire usage doesn't matter to me too much, only just as long as everyone gets what's coming to them. It's God's business and no one knows what to expect but Him.

Good Morning. Gog is the king of his kingdom that is called Magog. In the Old Testament you will find Gog and Magog fighting against the Jews in the book of Ezekiel. Today anyone, any system, any government or church who fights against Gods people are considered enemies just like Gog was the enemy of the Jews in the past.
  • Phil - In Reply on Revelation 20 - 5 years ago
Good Morning. Good question. I think the fact that the last verse says that whosoever name is not in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire shows us that our souls never die.

John Nolan, I really appreciate this. God bless you..... I think what is most confusing and difficult and steals from faith is that even after we are saved, we feel strong sensations in the body which the fleshly mind still calls "sin.' So we feel condemned, not holding fast to the Word that "there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." We continue to find our Identity in our mind, and not in the Word.... We confuse The experience of the sensations of sin with IDENTITY with sin. In other words, we think once we are saved we will feel bliss forever. In fact, the opposite has been my experience, the longer I walk in Christ, the more powerful the sensations. May we come to interpret these "hard" sensations as our Victory, as evidence of God's immense mercy. Not as, "oh, I am still a horrible sinner! I I can't help but sin to cover me from this horrible sensation' " We need to see aright!

in Matthew 11:11 Jesus says, referencing John the Baptist, "Notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." Was John not in the kingdom of heaven? When was the kingdom come? Before Jesus' death on the Cross, was the kingdom of heaven not here? Thank you.

    MATTHEW 7

12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to DESTRUCTION and MANY there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and NARROW is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

    Book of Acts 6:8

Why not read on the life of Paul. He is proof that Jesus calls the right person for the job in mind. Paul was born Jewish, educated and a Pharisee. He hooked up with the Romans, and was in town the day Stephen was about to be stoned for preaching Jesus. Paul gave the order for the stoning to begin. Before Stephen died, he saw Jesus stand up from His throne, to receive Stephen into heaven!

Paul leaves with death warrants for some more Jews. On the Damascus Road he gets knocked off his horse by the glory of Jesus. It was so light that it blinded Paul. Jesus asked him, Why Are You Persecuting ME?!

They pick Paul up and take him to the next town. Someone there prayed for Paul, and he gets his sight back. He had some days as a blind man to ponder what had happened. Later Jesus tells Paul he is sent to evangelize the Gentiles (everybody that's not a Jew)

He started out rowdy and wrong; got knocked off into the dirt. Spent 3 hrs in a desert alone with Jesus. He wasn't tall; eyes were kinda runny?

He wrote half of the New Testament. Whatever Jesus spoke, Paul preached it. He worked as a tent-maker. He was a gutsy dude.

When I saw your post, the Holy Spirit flashed this story. Has God ever tried to reach out to you?

Read Acts. Keep coming back here. I like you.

    Hi Tony,

So you must be looking at 1 Timothy 9-10. "Menstealer" is the Greek word "andrapodistais" Strongs G405 with definition of " 1. a slave-dealer, kidnapper, man-stealer, a. of one who unjustly reduces free men to slavery, b. of one who steals the slaves of others and sells them, an enslaver".

For "perjured person" is the Greek word "epiorkois" Strongs G1965 with definition "1. a false swearer, a perjurer, on oath that is (falsely) a forswearer".

Where other Bibles get "practicing homosexuality" is stated in two places. 1 Corinthians 6:9 and 1 Timothy 1:10. In the KJV it is "them that defile or abuse themselves with mankind". The Greek word "arsenokoitais or arsenokoitai" Strongs G733 definition "1. one who lies with a male as with a female, sodomite, homosexual".

Also sexually immoral is "whoremongers" or "fornicator" in KJV in the same two verses as above. The Greek word "pornois" Strongs G4205 "1. a man who prostitutes his body to another's lust for hire, 2. a male prostitute, 3. a man who indulges in unlawful sexual intercourse, a fornicator".

    Hope that helps.

    God Bless.

What is menstealer and perjured person? Seventh-Day Adventists use their own Bible and it interpret it very different from KJV. Where did they get the ...for mother's, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders,...

My research is homosexuality, where did other Bible get practicing homosexuality. It didn't say that here on KJV. I am looking for evidence that it violates the Ten Commandments. Thanks

Hello Keith. I'm unsure whether you mean that the preacher should request payment for his services or whether he should accept it as a gift?

For the former option, my understanding is there should not be a request for payment or salary. I also understand that the role of today's pastors/teachers within a Fellowship is generally a paid position, as those serving in such a capacity also need to pay bills & have their needs met, but in the NT Church this wasn't the case. At that time, elders were appointed to lead, direct & teach their congregations from the Word & they also had their own jobs to attend to. In the case of the Apostle Paul, he worked for a living as well ministered to others ( 1 Corinthians 4:11-13; 1 Corinthians 9:6; Acts 18:1-3). As far as I know, the Brethren Assemblies & maybe some very small house Churches only follow that principle today.

Whether a preacher should accept payment as a gift: I think that would be in order to do, as the Fellowship has set aside this 'gift of thanks & appreciation' to the one who has taken the trouble to prepare & deliver God's Word to them. What the preacher does with that gift (i.e. to use it for his needs or to return it back via the offering plate) would be his choice. Again, to use Paul's example, he often received such gifts, most likely in 'kind' rather than monetary, & he saw no problem in doing so. 1 Corinthians 9:11-14; Philippians 4:10-19; 2 Corinthians 11:7-9 ("wages" (v8) allows for both a 'payment, provisions, support').

I always maintain the position, that the preacher should share the Gospel/God's Word free of charge. If he is placed in a full-time position within a Fellowship, then he can receive whatever the eldership determines, even a nominal amount. If he is an itinerant preacher, he either supports himself from his own resources or by doing other work, and fully trusts the Lord to meet his needs. And many have gone to serve overseas based on that dependence on the Lord.

    Amen Aria,

Especially the part, "He's your Lord and savior.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6.

For God so loved the world, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

GOD IS LOVE, BUT HE IS ALSO JUST AND HOLY.

God doesn't save us by his love.

Love is by the means he sent us a savior.

God also doesn't compromise none of his attributes,

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

    Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, SEE THAT YE LOVE ONE ANOTHER WITH A PURE HEART fervently: 1 Peter 1:17-22.

There's your Commandment in John 13.

and it will manifest beyond words.

Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

    James 2:18.

    God bless.
  • Adam - In Reply on Deuteronomy 13:6 - 5 years ago
Dear Tito, it sounds like your religion is something other than Christianity, because in Christianity (followers of Jesus Christ) Jesus clearly says you must obey Him. This makes a lot of people uncomfortable, because they would rather enjoy a life of sin. Most people will choose to continue the life they love and will call it 'love', but aren't willing to change their lifestyle to obey Jesus and avoid sin. They then rationalize with deceptive words not from the Bible, but from the mouth of satan that say you're saved regardless of your actions, that you can do whatever you want with no consequence because you're "saved." That must be an awesome religion, the best of both worlds, where you don't even have to try, where you can enjoy sin and evil as much as you want and God "approves" it, right?

You said even Hitler will be in heaven- so even the world's most evil, vile, mass murderer even gets in, according to you. But I wonder if that's just your idea or if that's 100% untrue. What if that's a lie from satan? It sure sounds the opposite of what God said.

Jesus warned his Christian followers repeatedly to avoid sin. He gave them lots of parables about separating good from bad, and how most people will go to hell, and only few people will make it to heaven. So, in your religion, if even Hitler goes to heaven, then who doesn't make it in?

In your world, if you're a Christian do you believe tonight, you can freely commit any sin you'd like with no ramifications? Adultery, immorality, sodomy, murder, lying, cheating, stealing- it's all ok? Is that really what the Bible says? My Bible doesn't say that. If you do that you're basically slapping Jesus in the face, spitting on Him, and turning your back on His grace. Shame on anyone who does this. God will fairly judge all and no one is saved until they are judged.

    John 14:15

    Hebrews 10:26

    James 2:19

    2 Corinthians 5:10

The verses that say you have an inheritance, assurance assume you're genuinely following Jesus, not following Satan!!!
