Hello Roger W, Thank you. The converted heart (not flesh) has a better hope separate of the devil. This hope begins here in earth and finishes in heaven. There should be power to deny willing sin. What others choose to do/believe or not cannot be an excuse not to know Jesus at Calvary and the power of His resurrection. This place (Calvary) is the still waters in a world of sin and separation from God. Likely you know this already.

    Brother John,

You state that the only sin is unbelief! Jesus never said that. There are many sins, and christians along with believing in Jesus Christ - WE must also strive to be free from sin!

It sounds to me that you are saying as long as we believe in Jesus Christ we can continue to sin with no repercussions....

Why would Jesus say in the following verses "sin no more"?

    John 8:11

"She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

    John 5:14

"Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee."

This is "very powerful" scripture telling us that we must strive to be SIN FREE. Yes, we are imperfect, and we will sin and fall short, but when we do we must still pray for forgiveness and strive to change and walk in Christ.

It's not easy to get into heaven and this verse confirms:

    Matthew 7:14

"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

As Christians we CANNOT ignore the above scripture, or we will only be fooling ourselves......

    God bless

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry! I did not mean at all to undermine the importance of the Bible! It is our foremost Book of knowledge, and it is the way God speaks to us in these days! It is different from the spiritual books of any other religion. And our God is the True God. Forgive me if it sounded like I was telling you the Bible was irrelevant! Not at all. We should read the Bible all the way through as much as we can to make it a part of our lives.

I strive to have a conscience "void of offense toward God and man." God bless.

I have one more Biblical oddity that I've stumbled upon. It is a classic line you hear once in a while.

God said He is not a respecter of men.

( Romans 2:11)For there is no respect of persons with God.

When God remembered his covenant, he respected the captives of the children of Israel.

( Exodus 2:24-25) And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

This example makes it clear that God has respect for meaningful mortal endeavors. If you wanted to get technical, you could rationalize that while God is not a respecter of persons, he sure do love Him some whole house of Israel.

It wasn't just the Israelites who behaved badly, coming out of Egypt. Moses killed a Egyptian and was on the run.

I tend to think because Moses killed in cold blood, he too was excluded from entering the Holy land. Just a gut feeling.

    ( Exodus 2:11-12)

11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

The word "homosexual" or "homosexuality" exists only in some of your English translations of the Bible and there has been a push to be very clear that Leviticus refers to the sin of homosexuality. But, that is not what the original Hebrew text says. It is confusing to say the least, the Hebrew text: --- , : , . A direct translation: As a male- you will not lie down, from the layers of a woman: an abomination, he is.

Apparently the "layers of a woman" is supposedly a woman's bed. Layers, meaning bed linens? I do not know. But it sounds to me that it means a man shouldn't lie down in any woman's bed unless it is the bed he shares with his wife. Since the other verses are about incest, it could also mean for a man not to lie in a woman's bed who is a close relative.

The second death is the everlasting death, everlasting meaning after you die you will be not more, the saints will have everlasting or eternal life and sinners everlasting or eternal death, Some people say that sinners will be in hell forever burning, that's not so if that is the case they will have everlasting life because to feel burning you have to be alive therefore you will have everlasting life, everlasting death means when you die you will cease to exist you will be no more, you no longer exist.

    Richard in Christ,

I like your aim. I must tell you that all souls return to God, not Jesus.

( Ecclesiastes 12:7) Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

    It's another angle to consider.
  • Richard in Christ - In Reply - 5 years ago
    Hi brother Adam,

As you are free to have your beliefs as we all are. I myself believe us in Christ(our spirit/soul) go to be with the Lord, where He is, when we die. As I'm not here to argue with you, as said, you are free to have your beliefs as I am. All I'm going to do is leave a couple Scriptures that pertain our "spirit" does not sleep. 1 Corinthians 15:51. In Luke 16 about two different men being in two different places after death. Then in Luke 23:43 Jesus telling the one man who hung with Him that today "shalt thou be with Me in paradise".

Again I'm not here to change your mind or argue anything. As maybe some people do sleep till judgement. Though I believe us in Christ go to be with the Lord when our physical bodies are done. As we are His.

    God Bless you brother Adam.

Thank you Carlton, but it's not your eyes I want to water. Jesus taught that the devil is the god of this world. Now, if everyone could promptly beat the devil out of themselves, that would be something.

Jack, I don't proclaim to know who the end time nations are, but I see the weapons they will use. I looked at Russia's weapons, and then I wondered why I thought Russia had nothing but old rusted out junk. OneSarmat missile can destroy a country the size of France. Even the most advanced anti-missile systems of the world will not stop Sarmat ( Joel 2:7-11)

  • Adam - In Reply on Romans 1 - 5 years ago
Hello, I've heard that repeated a lot, but the Bible doesn't say that.

Paul said he would "rather" be absent from the body and with the Lord. It doesn't say in 100% of all cases, every time, that when someone is not alive that they are with the Lord. Big difference. I personally do not believe people go to the Lord upon death, but sleep until judgment day, based on scriptures I've read. God bless...

What countries today represents the beast, and the whore. They have to be known and active governments.

In WWII Germany would be the whore, and the allies would be the beast.

Who is God describing as end-time foes?
  • Richard Estrada - 5 years ago
    Ronald L Wittemore,

What I don't approve of is giving false Biblical accounts from what actually happened, and then defending that ill position with more non-applicable scripture. Just throwing it out there, seeing what sticks. This is a competition for truth and understanding. You could spend all day correcting fundamental errors, but who will listen, clinging on to false pre-conceptions? You can make mistakes, correct yourself, and if you are serious, you better know the subject matter, not what someone has falsely imparted to you.
  • Richard Estrada - 5 years ago
    Misheal,

You missed the meaning of God's message to man; He's saying "know your place". That is my message to those putting weight on a false doctrine. There is no such thing as a "rapture", only a structured, 2 part resurrection.

    Isaiah 45:9

9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

I'm weary of the sabbath issue.

Let's discuss the differences between tithing and offerings.

Jubilee. Is it only for Jewish people?

Am I bad? I think we tithe cause God ordained it. I give offerings because all people need food.

    Malachi Chapter 3

15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.

16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that THOUGHT upon his name.

17 And they shall be MINE, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

***If you have never belonged to anyone, here is your chance to be cherished, protected. In Song of Solomon, there are 3 scriptures that say:

I, am my Beloved's. My Beloved is Mine!

    There is no reason to feel alone, cut off, abandoned, betrayed, isolated with our regrets;

Unloved, unwanted by anybody, not good enough, an ugly gray duckling.

When you get to the end of your SELF, reach out and TAKE HOLD of Jesus. He loves you unwaveringly forever. He came to earth just for you! He took the sins of the whole world...why?

For God so LOVED the world.

You are the object of His Affection, and Sacrifice.

When I understood this, I was smitten forever.

I have Someone who is never going away. I will never break this relationship. This is the kind of Love that Heals us.

Understand, there is no male, female in this Love. It's all God, and all me. We can't really love others until we experience this God kind of love. Agape.

Happiness shows on your face. Look into your eyes, and you will see LOVE looking back at you. You're Loved. You belong to Someone stronger than all your pain that you carried. The weight over your heart, disappears. Your bad memories belong to Him NOW.

Be released. Lean in and be loved. Let the fire of your love rest on your Beloved.

Clay is wet dirt. It doesn't say anything.

Adam did not instruct God when he was being fashioned.

Real artists use different types of clay for different effects, colors, texture. Lots of variables.

The artist will sit and consider the clay before he touches it. What will it be? I've done some sculpting myself. Every piece is unique. Beloved. Is what I was feeling and thinking, at that time.

That's how we know that God...is Creative. He does not want to destroy what He creates.

Sitting on a dusty table in the corner, doesn't mean you have not worth. That is your place to adorn and display the beauty molded inside of you. God knows what He formed inside of each one of us.

God is not a machine that copies the original, like the Statue of Liberty. Each creation is an original.

Think on these things. Let's look at each other differently. We are NOT the color, nor the texture; all alone. We are complete as we are as a whole. People see in us, something they've never seen before...anywhere.

I don't see races. I see the whole one. Created to stand alone, in the beauty of uniqueness.

Why do we not see that about each other? True, we did not create each other. God sees each child in its mothers womb. Two DNA's being knit into one. The Bible says children are the Lords REWARD. He knows of each child. Their souls in their unformed bodies: return to God; if they are not born. What a powerful verse, in the Bible!!

We cannot even imagine the joy awaiting us in Heaven. We had huge yearly family reunions when I was a child. It was a blessing to see each person there and know we all descended from the same couple!

People, we are all Gods children. Absolutely not mistakes. Created just as we are. Our ancestors, selected and recorded in Gods Book. Even our divorces and restarts.

Groups separated by color, culture, ancestry, are from a different Kind of creator. The creator of Chaos. Satan. Remove yourself from him.

In Romans 5,5 shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost tells me that this church had received the same Gift as the 120 at in Acts 2 because Peter said after Jesus was exalted at fathers right hand he used same words in 33rd verse said promise of the father he shed forth that what you see and hear. So I believe they received the INITIAL EVIDENCE of praying in tongues. I believe Apostle Paul assumed all the believers had baptism in Holy Spirit because when he ran into the 12 in Acts 19 he got them about the infilling of Spirit
