Johnny - If baptism is a requirement of salvation, then why did Paul in 1 Corinthians 1:17 say " For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel:"? If baptism is a requirement of salvation, don't you think the greatest missionary that ever lived (other than Jesus) would be baptizing everyone he could?

Also, in 1 Corinthians 1:14, he said "I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;"

Jesse, is the Holy Spirit of God and Christ abiding in believers? I don't understand how we die and are not present with him and the Father. Revelation 31:22 says the new Jerusalem has no temple in it because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple thereof. If they are the temple in the new Jerusalem and they abide in man it seems that born again men are the new Jerusalem; making them the city of righteousness. 1 Corinthians 3:16 says we are the temple of God because new Jerusalem has come down from heaven to abide in men. It seems to me that since Christ is in man; bringing man to truth, then the ones that have left their bodies of flesh and now have the body of Christ (being one with Christ) are also in man doing the works of Christ. Ruling and reigning with Christ. They shall reign with Christ a thousand years (a thousand years is as one day). It seems to me this has been happening since Christ ascended into the new heaven (man).

To rationalize all things that pertain to us can be misleading and, at times, even disastrous. Cause and effect in the natural realm of our existence doesn't always apply in the ways of God in our lives. Job's 'friends' may have been unsettled by the chance that Job hadn't done anything warranting his current state. There was no wrong done by Job to bring this about. God in His providence had allowed things events to occur. If that were the case then Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar were in jeopardy of being grossly mistaken in their responses to their associate. This proved to be the case in the end.

Without the Bible and prior to Jesus' earthly ministry, Job faced his dilemmas the best anyone could expect. Even in the midst of facing continued criticism from supposed allies. Thank you Job for endurance and patience and thank you God for allowing this book to be contained in your holy Word for our instruction and enlightenment!

Hello Caleb. I'm unsure in what manner the evil one is bringing confusions to you, but for me, if there is something that comes to my mind that I know is debatable or wrong, then I resort to the 3 S's.

SEARCH: SEARCH the Word of God to find the Scripture related to your concern. Entering a specific word in the Search Box on this Site or in a Concordance, might throw up several options for you to look at.

STUDY: STUDY that verse, also the verses around it & the reason for that inclusion in the Bible, to make sure you are understanding it & applying it correctly to you concern.

STAND: After you satisfy yourself that God's Word has given you the answer you seek, then believe it, STAND firmly upon it, & when that sly fox tests or tempts you again, hit him with the pure Word of God. That should scare him away.

This has happened to me. I order it to leave me alone and it did. That was while I was backslidden. I am now walking with Christ again and haven't been harassed in a long time. But the devil does come roaring around me at times, and I say, "IN JESUS NAME, GET THEE BEHIND ME SATAN!" I'd say the same if a spirit bothered me again. Simple, but powerful. Say it, and believe.

Sin brings death! Spiritual death! Being in the body of Christ is where every believing Christian needs too be at all times. When we fail of course the Lord forgives. When spiritual death happens to us because of sin, it might only come for a minute, after prayer and seeking forgiveness the Holy Spirit we once again take its place and forgives us!

This is the 5 G of God. It is sharper than a two edged sword, dividing the good from the Bad. Satan cannot know these things, He does not have the power to look into the soul, He judges things from the outside! This saving faith , given through the holy spirit is yours, produces streaks of power that enlightens the world, even saving some, who , may learn the truth! The love of God in Christ! This is the will of God for us and man kind! Go and teach all nations in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!

I trusted in the Name of Christ and His work on the cross for my salvation ( Romans 10: 9-11). The word of the Lord is not open to any private interpretation, not my words but the Lord's word in 2 Peter 1:20.

Therefore as I grow in God's word my desire is that all will be included in God's Heaven. 2 Peter 3:9. That is why I go in Jesus Christ Name ( Acts 4: 10-12) and testify and witness to others about the gospel of Christ. It is my responsibility, my love for my Lord and Savior and also for the Lost in Christ to bring them to Christ. Matthew 28: 18-20.

If you read and study the Word of God, it will become evident why there are two gates. God is love and will not force anyone to trust in Him. Everyone has a choice, you choose. Or find a Bible believing church or a person whose been saved, reads the Bible, and serving God to help you make your decision about God's salvation and heaven. God is Love, but He is Holy first. God's desire is for all to be saved. Titus 3:5, 6

Call on God!! Before we pass into eternity and it will be too late.

    Marine Wife,

I think you are wrong on 2 counts:

    1) God says the spirit returns to Him, not to Jesus or the Holy spirit.

( Ecclesiastes 12:7) Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

    2) The trinity is not Bible doctrine. The Bible names these 3 but nowhere does it mention or commit to a trinity.

What else do you think about Bible mystics?

I would like to help Christ's Children understand 'color and Light' are synonymous. KJV- John 8:12 GOD declares 'He' is Light. I had dinner with a physicist who told me 'to this day no one knows where Light comes from'. The deep space Light of the novas, of the cosmos ect. Now consider how Christians are told the Source/as Christ (are the same word friends) that we accept Him, He lives in us as our Neighbor, closer than a brother. We in Him, He in us= are Children of Light. The many contrived color narratives that want to steal the id of this Light? Yes as 'black'(lives matter),'white'(supremacy) and the 'rainbow' covenant of GOD (LGBTQIA) and this misguided phrase 'People of Color'. Do you see the narratives are theft? A tearing away of John 8:12 'I AM LIGHT'. Today there is an all out identity war on Christ to try and strip His/Light of His color! This is a real 'id' attack friends. Why? Because KJV Hebrews 11:1 says 'substance' (is faith)and as Light=all colors=substance) So by substance in the world the unbelieving sees proof of what we call the LORD's Glory in nature: is Jesus. To strip the LIGHT of its rainbow? Jesus colors parted out leaves invisibility and the confused will not connect LIGHT and COLOR as defined as indivisible. In physics (what is 'indivisible') cannot be separated from itself is 'true substance' science. Christ says He is Truth. Christ says He is Light. In His brilliance friends (our image is Him)-the logic is to admit Jesus Christ is 'COLOR TOO'. I AM THAT I AM. Sir Isaac Newton in 1700's wrote the Laws of Color Science:"Out of Black or Out of White"(from black or white)ALL colors come forth. Friends with this truth? This is the reason of 'law' of color = Color science. It is lawful that all Police Cars are 'black and white'. The reason the Bible pages are 'black and white' and the reason the USA Supreme Court Justice Robes 'law' are black and white. Fundamental science friends: Starting with our first set of CRAYONS/GOD= JOHN 8:12

    Hi Lauren,

I know we all go thru that mind set. Paul writes about it in Romans 7:11-25. The Lord knows our frame and helps us through His scriptures. It is not easy. Our responsibility is to search His Word and trust in its application to our lives. Gal 2:20; Col 3: 1-10; 1 Cor 10: 13 are passages that helped me. It takes time, however it gets easier as time goes by. Key is to keep working at it. The Lord is there for you. He wants us to succeed. Remember, it is His desire that we be like Christ. Romans 6:5; Phil 3:21; 1 John 3:2. Sorry didn't mean to give you so many verses, just wanted you to have enough "ammunition" to fight against the enemy and quench all his fiery darts Eph 6: 11-18. I used 3X5 cards to write the verses and carried them with me to help me memorize the verses.

God bless you, and know that the Lord is there for our success.

    Mishael,

Look what happens to Jacob and Esau when they are all grown up, through the centuries. The last time these two boys met up was on the trail in Genesis 33. Jacob was afraid that Esau would kill him for stealing his birthright, but they exchanged gifts and parted ways.

But now, in (Obadiah) we see that Esau (Gog) has obliterated Jacob (Israel) so much so that God is extra angry at Esau. This is the day of the Lord battle aftermath, similar to ( Isaiah 24). We see parallels between the beast & Babylon, and king of north vs king of south allegories. The Bible will tell you the same thing, several different ways to round off your wisdom. Keep reading.

Thanks John Nolan, I appreciate your encouraging words and yes it is our job to help others find Christ as their Savior ( Matthew 28: 18-20). And for those in Christ, to abide in His Word. It's ignorance of the Word of God that Hebrews 6:6 comes into play. (see also v.4). The key word there is "if." Thanks for your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

    Happy Father's Day everyone.

ARMAGEDDON - The battle is against three unclean spirits like frogs before Jesus's coming.

The battle is spiritual exclusively against a devilish trinity - three unclean spirits like frogs that come out of the MOUTH of

the Dragon, and out of the MOUTH of the Beast, and out of the MOUTH of the False Prophet.

The War against these three unclean spirits is in aquatic and terrestrial environments, polluted with spirits like frogs.

What strategy should be adopted for this war to fight them?

The strategy of the main enemy in this war is known to those on the front lines. Revelation 12:v.13-17

13 And when the Dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

15 And the serpent (the Dragon*)cast out of his MOUTH water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the Dragon cast out of his MOUTH.

17 And the Dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make War with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The testimony of Jesus Christ is the Spirit of prophecy.

    * Dragon is the new name of Devil in this time of Apocalypse.

Armageddon in Hebrew tongue - Ar - Mag - Eddon. Contraction of three words: Air ( ) - Magog - Eddon (red) .

The testimony of Jesus Christ is the Spirit of prophecy.

Mike, at times I wonder if the whole story is made up to keep everyone morally accountable. I wonder if the Bible was a book that man, on purpose, or by accident fulfills. I know the Trans-Atlantic slave traders justified their deeds through the Bible. I wonder if Rome conspired to fashion God's word to scare you straight. For all I know, when I die, Ill go back into the universe from whence I came from. That's paradise.

It is easier to fool someone that convince them they've been fooled.

Our heavenly Father, who is like unto thee Lord?

There is none, though art God and there is no other God beside thee. There never has been and there never will be anyone like unto thee.

There is no other Saviour but the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only begotten Son of God. There never was and never will be another Jesus Christ.

Ahhh heavenly Father, there is no other Holy Spirit but thy Spirit which thou has given unto us. He is the promise of the Father whom he sent down to be our comforter when our Saviour Jesus ascended after his glorious resurrection.

Father, I thank you for the Holy Scriptures, which thou has given unto us. Thy Word oh' God, is the sole source of truth in this lost and dying world.

But thanks be unto our God, salvation is available and free this very hour...

The Word of God declares, For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!

Oh my friend, I invite you, come to Jesus and accept his love today and be saved.

Heavenly Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I Love You.

    AMEN...

    S. Spencer,

Yes, there is a lot to think about here. The more I know about the millennium, the more I know I don't know about the millennium. It begins a new age and the story isn't understood using common sense. For instance, the saints in the millennium were resurrected, born again, of Spirit, Christ-like beings, so why all the fighting? The plausible answer is they are now fighting the spirit world, and the devil has no place among the incorruptible, and is extinguished forever. I think God made the hereafter descriptions vague because he wanted us to focus on the prophets and the Gospels.

I have trouble with a rapture theory where the church (Christians) worldwide is removed through divine intervention, before the great tribulation, and presumably resurrected. Jesus said you will find the "taken" where the vultures circle over, so they are dead bodies.

-Rapture is not in the lexicon, it's not established doctrine, and if it were established, there would be many detailed accounts of these events. There are none such accounts, only conjecture. I wouldn't call it standing on solid ground.

-( Revelation 6:10-11) The OT saints are asking how long till judgment, and are told to wait till after the sealed saints die, at the seventh trumpet ( Revelation 11:12). This is the first resurrection of the great tribulation saints.

-( 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18) is the one of the most manipulated scriptures assisting rapturists, but this occurs at the last trumpet ( Revelation 11:12).

-As the one hundred forty four thousand sealed of the Christian elite are being sealed, billions of living Christians are raptured to heaven so they won't suffer their appointed death? What is the point?

-Why are living Christians counted among the firstfruits, and not the billions who died in Christ?

-The first resurrection is only the one hundred forty four thousand saints.

-The second resurrection is for everyone else.

  • Jesse - In Reply on Hebrews 6 - 5 years ago
    Ron,

Hebrews 6:4-6 is a section that many use to say you can lose your salvation. But it is not talking about losing salvation. Salvation cannot be lost. You have to understand that these were Hebrew/Jewish people who were following along with the believers and partaking in the teachings along with the believers. But they never were saved so there was no salvation to be lost.

Think about it this way. There are many people who pack our churches every Sunday. But not all who go to church are saved individuals. A person has to receive Christ and be born of His Spirit in order to be saved. Now, those individuals in the church who have never received Christ, they may look and act like believers, and yet be void of the indwelling Spirit in their lives.

You and I might think they are saved because they go to church and speak the lingo, and might even say amen on occasion but still never received Christ. So after many years of going to church, they had enough and walked away forever. Did they lose their salvation? No, they were never saved, to begin with.

That is the same thing we see in Hebrews chapter 6. Those Hebrew people were in with the crown and partaking of the same things the believers were partaking of, but they did not take that next step of surrendering their life to Christ. They were being enlightened to the truth, but an enlightened person does not mean they are a saved person. A person can be enlightened to the truth, and still, never receive Christ. They didn't surrender because of the persecution that they would have to go through if they denounced Judaism and received Christ as their Messiah.

So instead of surrendering their life to Christ, they turned away and went back into Judaism. It was much easier for them to do that than surrender to Christ. But they were never saved, so there was no salvation to be lost!

-I have committed at least half of those sins in verse , and that was after i knew better let me say to all those who are dabbling in alcohol, drugs and being immoral its not worth it, your reputation, your self esteem once gone is hard to so very hard to get back, then lies people will lie to about you and people will believe it because why not you done all kind of other things. But worse of all you might begin to doubt your salvation and that is not a place that you want to be, because you might like i did realize late in life that you wasted time, because only what we do for Christ matters. Stay in the word and if you stray get back into it immediately.
