Hiya Bro. Earl , GBU yes i pretty much agree with what you are saying, As the scriptures speak of the Regeneration of the H.G. Which is multiplication of the H.G. I believe HIS BLOOD was applied to ALL MEN NO MATTER HOW SINFUL. There is no limit to the strength of his BLOOD. IN Adam we all died , But in Christ we will ALL live .The scripture does not refer to him as the 2 nd Adam for nothin . Just as the curse of 1 ST. Adam was applied to All men . The blood of that 2 nd Adam has to be applied TO ALL MEN, No exceptions , If i be lifted up I WILL DRAW ALL MEN UNTO ME . Scrip. says he wd stain ALL HIS RAIMENT ( with his blood/word ) We are All his raiment , He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood thats the world as God so loved the world etc Abide in me and i in you . i was naked and you cloth me. The scrip. says his arm is not too short that he cannot reach ALL THE WORLD . But our old adamic nature, satans spirit is gonna be burnt to ashes. By his baptism of fire. Its our old man that answers to the dog that returns to his vomit and the sow that returns to her mud, Thats our old man that is not gonna make it as he is rank with satan. If thy right hand offend thee cut it off thats the old adamic nature, our old innerman . And thats y we must be bornagain of an incorruptible seed even by the words of God that new covenant, God said he wd know them ALL from the least to the greatest IN THE NEW COVENANT. Behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the WORLD . David saw ALL the world at rest and full of his GLORY. In Adam we all die but in Christ that 2 nd Adam we will ALL live. gbu Earl

We have all been there at some point in this Christian journey. Don't give up. Find a quiet place where you can be alone with the Lord and let him speak to your heart.

Mishael, I want to thank you for all your comments, as the Holy Spirit is using your words (and the words of others) to draw me closer to God and to Scripture. Bless you! I was drawn out of the occult as well. My mother was very into astrology, and I slipped into it, even began Tarot, etc. But nothing touched me as deeply as the washing of the water of the Word. I was saved in a Zen Buddhist monastery, in the middle of doing a Korean mantra, Christ came to me. I have never been the same since. That was 35 years ago. Praise God! During this year of "Covid" I have gotten so much closer to the Lord, through his Word, and through prayer. And I feel very called to intercessory prayer, more than to anything else. I keep getting images in the spirit of a Sword, and of Bows, shooting my bows, and of the armour of God... I work in a public elementary school, I love children, and I feel called to follow my spiritual vocation there especially, as teachings are coming through the schools that feel waaaay off the spirit of truth. I am especially drawn these days to scriptures that are equipping me for a battle. I spent most of my Christian life hiding, but God was preparing me. The battle is not carnal but mighty through God..... principalities and powers and spiritual wickedness in high places. Outwardly, we reflect the peace of Christ..... but inwardly, devils flee..... Bless you for all your sharing!

I know that Jesus cared not for money nor possessions yet, what became of the riches presented by the wise men? I highly doubt that they, bringing tribute to a king, presented a gold piece, a joss stick and a stick of Old Spice. Could these gifts possibly have helped support his ministry as he traveled or do you have other theories. I do not picture Mary and Joseph being destitute nor even poor after their visit.

    2 Samuel 19:13. Benson Commentary

And say ye to Amasa, Art thou not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.

2 Samuel 19:13. Say to Amasa, Art thou not of my bone, &c. - That is, nearly related to me, being my sister's son. God do so to me, and more also, &c. - He solemnly promises to prefer him to the highest command in the kingdom; for he now thought it a fit time to depress Joab, who was grown insufferably insolent and imperious, and who, through his credit with the army, had protected himself in the commission of the greatest crimes. He had slain Abner most perfidiously in cold blood, and killed Absalom contrary to the king's express command, and now lately had insulted him in his sorrow. Having, therefore, now an opportunity of transferring the command to another person, who had as great an interest in the people's favour as Joab, he gladly embraces it, that so he might both chastise Joab for his faults, and rescue himself from the bondage in which that general had hitherto held him. Some, however, have thought that, considering Joab's very faithful services to David in all the changes of his fortune, and that his violent measures proceeded in part from a regard to him, as judging them necessary for his safety and tranquillity, David's conduct in this instance, in making Amasa captain of the host in Joab's room, is not an amiable trait in his character, and was not a prudent step at this time, especially considering Joab's violent temper: and, it must be acknowledged, it brought on the murder of Amasa.

I wrote to you yesterday. I was thinking to another time when someone told me to bloom where I was planted. Are you friends with people from work, or in the neighborhood? Church?

I guess life gives us winter seasons that seem bare and bleak. I've had more than my fair share. It truly feels like Psalm 23. Just hold on to Jesus's hand (Thou are with me). All you have to do is walk with Him, through this. I've preached so much on Job lately. It's my favorite book, but it took me years+years to love it. I was Job. I lost everything. I sat down in the dirt for years; until I finally saw "Thou art with me." I connected and started to live again. When my Dad died, I begged God to take me too. I was mad, but he didn't answer that prayer. God still has something in his mind for us to be a part of. For starters: life. My Dad was a farmer after WW2. I learned much just watching him.

Break up your field that has laid fallow (uncultivated). It's very hard ground, but it's also very fertile now. Anything will yield a crop if it gets rain. That's where our tears and will to survive comes in. God put that in us. He has a plan for the next chapter of the book he's writing.

All you have to do is move forward. Keep your old friends, but do pray and ask God where he wants you to be. He will lead you. Just keep yourself online with the Holy Spirit: your personal Comforter.

I have learned by experience; there is Church shopping, and Church hopping. Look for the Psalm 23 Pastor. He leads as only they (the sheep) follow. Follow Jesus Christ. If you ask the Holy Spirit for direction, He might give you GPS directions Himself. If you are learning, hearing the revelation, growing up, saying WOW often, that may be your Church.

I love Pastor Paul Shepherd on the FM Radio. He can get loud and I love his sermons. There's some Meaty Preaching on some radio ministry.

Depression and wanting to die, is the devil. He wants us dead. Don't Listen to him.

    Anthony DiValentin,

Even righteous men will tremble before the Great White throne. Everyone will succumb to God's love and choose life. I wonder why the Great White throne judgment happens at the 2nd resurrection, and not the 1st with the saints?

From my point of view, I don't look at life with the same joy and optimism I once used to. I see the world as one big 24/7 organized racket. Politicians, judges, lawyers, cops all crooked and corrupt. It is the norm. So, I wonder what's here that's worth defending? I didn't ask to be here, alive, and would be content sleeping for an eternity in the hereafter. Please don't tell me that my spirit will be tormented forever in "hell", because that's what I'm dealing with down here.

    OSEAS,

So you are saying that the world is 6 thousand years old, and a century into the 7th?

I'm gonna have to toss out all my anthropology books:

"Non-bird dinosaurs lived between about 245 and 66 million years ago, in a time known as the Mesozoic Era. This was many millions of years before the first modern humans appeared."

But Peter also pertaining to Joel says In the last days , which last time I checked, we are still in the last says. We have experienced these even greater than the days of pentecost, because God is giving revelation on things that will happen right up till He actually comes for the battle of Armageddon. For years He has been showing us through music and movies what was coming. EX. The movie "Armageddon " shows a meteor coming to hit the planet, and that is going to happen.Rage against the machine was taken to court right after the towers went down because of lyrics in one of their songs would lead you to think they knew about the attack, before hand when they didn't know, they were just singing what they were led to sing.So prophesying is still taking place today

    Brother Adam,

Hell, also known as hades, is a waiting room for the dead allegory. The rich man in agony sees Abraham comforting Lazarus, this is also a frightening allegory. I see God using a common tactic, 'the fear of hell', to entice sinners into a respectable and pure Christ-like existence. It is also said that ALL men & creatures will kneel before God. God's universe is all inclusive.

You must know that God loves us all, and even the worst of sinners have people that love and pray for them. Free will is also pre-destiny, because God knows every hair on your head, He knows you from before the womb. Jesus paid a blood ransom for ALL the world, for ALL sin. The hell in our minds is all the hell that there is.

  • Chris - In Reply on Romans 1 - 5 years ago
Hello Dianne. One could ask your question in the opposite way: why didn't Paul admonish & discipline the NT Church for not obeying the 4th Commandment? I can't ever recall reading about that happening. I say this assuming you believe that the Church did worship on the First day of the Week; some Christians today believe that the NT Church still held onto a Sabbath worship.

Also, I could ask: do you see any reason between Jesus & the Jewish people observing the 4th Commandment as a day of rest & attending to religious duties, & then a sudden switch in worship times & styles, post crucifixion & resurrection?

And a further related question, seeing this is question about the Law: did not Paul himself write, in 2 Corinthians 3:6-11, concerning the New Testament (Covenant), that the Spirit of this Testament brought life to all unlike the Letter of the Law which only brought death? That was the purpose of the Law: to show the Jews God's Standards of behaviour & their inability to fully attain to it. Even though the Glory of the Law was tremendous, how much more is the Glory of the Spirit's Ministry. And that which was once glorious, God had chosen to do away with, so that the Glory of the New Covenant energized by the Life-giving Spirit, would excel in Glory. Here, Paul is showing the incompatibility between the Law which was given on tables of stone, to the Law of the Spirit, which is written upon the tables of our hearts; & specifically applied & written to believing Jews ( Hebrews 8:7-13).

Sadly, the Old Testament Law today is still called upon as a measure of one's obedience to the Lord. And sadder still, when that 'obedience' is used against other Christians who choose to observe the 1st Day of the Week as their day of worship (& maybe rest). Let us not judge one another, but that "every man be persuaded (convinced, believing) in his own mind".

    Victor,

The body of Christ consists of believers from many different churches. But the requirement is that they be born of God's Spirit.

    1 Corinthians 12:13 says, for by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether bond or free;

And again, the word baptize is the name of what God's Spirit does in a person's life when they are saved. It is a Spiritual baptism which water baptism symbolizes. But when God's Spirit comes into your life, it's a cleansing, and it's an identification.

When we baptize people in the water, it is because of their confession that they have experienced the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and have identified in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. That is why we baptize the way we do in the water. Water baptism can't save anybody. It's just water. It's the baptism of the Spirit that saves, whether it's Jew or Gentile, bond or free.

Every person must experience the same baptism. And notice again that the emphasis is by one Spirit. And notice the second part: And have been all made to drink into one Spirit. So we're baptized, and that's when we're saved, and our fellowship with Him is that we drink. We drink of the living water. That's our walk in life with God. It says drink "into" one Spirit.

It's like saying everybody is drinking out of the same cup. Everybody is drinking from the same Spirit that satisfies the inner soul with living water.
  • Jesse - In Reply - 5 years ago
    Shannon,

You make some very good points. If I may just add my thoughts on water baptism for whatever it is worth. I believe water baptism is important but I also believe that it is to be done after salvation, not as a requirement for salvation.

Jesus said in Acts 1:5, For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

It is interesting that Jesus repeats what the bible says in so many places, is that the Lord's ministry is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. John says I baptize with water but the one coming after me baptizes with the Holy Spirit. And that's what He's repeating here in Verse 5.

When a person receives the Holy Spirit they are cleansed. That's why it is called baptized. Baptize means two things. Number one, cleansing, and number two, identification.

In 1 Corinthians 10:1, it says that the Jewish people were baptized into Moses under the cloud and through the sea. That's when the Red Sea was parted and they went through. It doesn't mean they had a baptismal ceremony. It just means that they obeyed Moses when he said let's go. And their identification was with Moses.

Now those two meanings for the word "baptism," is what we celebrate today. The moment that I am saved, I receive His Spirit into my spirit, and I am cleansed. And when I get water baptized, that is a testimony, my identification that I have received Christ and I'm saved. That is called believer's baptism.

Jesus' ministry is to baptize with His Spirit. When we receive Christ, we receive His Spirit. We are born of His Spirit. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is salvation. Paul in 1 Corinthians 12:13 says you are baptized with the Spirit when you are brought into the body of Christ, when you're saved.

Look at the symbolism. In Revelation, there are 7 (types of) churches left. Women symbolize the church. The Messiah is coming back for His bride, the church, for example. So 7 churches will be trying to preach their own message (the bread they break), and clothing is symbolic of righteousness. We are told later in Revelation one of the 7 churches thinks it is perfect when it is really naked and blind. So these churches will want to preach their own version of "

scripture", and they will believe they are clothed in righteousness, but they are wrong in their doctrines and therefore will call on Messiah to cover their inequities in His name.

In other words, there wiill be many churches in the end times all saying they are correct and right, when in reality, none of them are, but as long as they include His name, they think they will be covered. He will tell them He never knew them - nominal Xtians.
  • Jesse - In Reply on Acts 18 - 5 years ago
    Benon,

Even though we become sons and daughters through spiritual re-birth, we are not called the begotten of God. Jesus Christ is the only begotten of the Father. The word begotten in the Greek text means unique. Jesus Christ is the only unique one from the Father.

John 1:18 is quite a statement. No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, and again the word begotten means unique. The only one who is in human form that represents God, the only begotten Son which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

It is the relationship of the Word to the representative of God to man. First of all, nobody has ever seen God at any time. Nobody! The only one, the only unique one who has come from God, who is in the Father's bosom, another word of equality, He and the Father are one which He says John 10:31.

He, that is Jesus Christ, He has declared God. The word for declared is EXEGESITO. That is where we get our word exegesis from. An exegete is somebody who takes something apart and declares in detail the facts about a subject.

So there are the three principles concerning Jesus Christ: in existence, in equality, and in essence.

The only begotten Son (Existed) in the bosom of the Father.

(Equality) - bosom of the Father means that He is one with him.

And thirdly, (Essence) - God in human form.

In other words, if anybody wants to know about God, they go to Jesus Christ. He is not just a prophet. He's not just a rabbi. In the Christian faith and Biblical Christianity, He is God in the flesh, 100% God, 100% man!

The correct is , "so MANKIND would go through six God Days of one thousand years each (a total of 6 thousand years) plus a Millennium of one thousand years rest (now a total of 7 thousand years).

Brother Victor, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

There is ONLY one SPIRIT and that Spirit is GOD.

There is ONLY one Body (that PERFECT body that the Father gave His Son, that the SPIRIT (the Father lives in) and that BODY is CHRIST.

When we are born of the ONE SPIRIT then we become that ONE BODY (Father and Christ in us).

When we leave this body of flesh then we still are that ONE BODY; but now made PERFECT as Christ was perfect, when the Father gave him THE ONE BODY.

You are so correct in why there arent stands made against the meek behavior in this sinful behavior but, I am believing that Jesus died for all kinds of folks and the purpose of holding our tongues or judgment, Jesus also with God hoping they will find the love He has for them? Jesus suffered so we might love and hate the sinner....if we hate the sinner then how can we love and witness to them? Jesus said to the disciples in so many words, go get all kinds and I will do the sorting later. Amen !

Did Paul give permission to Greeks and all Gentiles to worship on Sunday first day of the week, as the Sabbath? If not, then why do preaching Pastors on Sunday preach its ok to break the 4th Commandment?....Jesus worshipped on the Sabbath sundown/Saturday

    Ty for your honesty.
