Starsheema, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

John 6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, Verily, I say unto to you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but BECAUSE YOU DID EAT OF THE LOAVES, and were filled.

They Followed Jesus to have their BELLIES FILLED, they cared not about the teachings of Christ.

They were REBUKED by Christ for this:

John 6:66 From that time many of his disciples went back, AND WALKED NO MORE WITH HIM.

    OSEAS,

You didn't answer my questions. You said I was "wrong" about the 2 witnesses, but not why. You had to Google it, I recognized the script you copied. Therefore, I will answer the questions for you:

The 144K are the church, they are Christ's bride. The 2 witnesses, the two candlesticks & two olive trees, the woman from Revelation 12, are all symbolism, metaphors, and allegory describing the 144K. The 2 witnesses and the 144K have the same mission, within the same time frame. You still can't make the connection?

( Psalms 52:8) But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

A single nation was an olive tree. A nation divided became two olive trees, two houses, two witnesses.

Below are 5 scripture depictions of the 144K on route to or in heaven. After being called up to heaven, the firstfruits are gathered for their judgment. The 144K "witnesses" are judged and resurrected in the twinkling of an eye. Look how the Rev 7 & Rev 11 stories parallel each other.

( Revelation 11:12) And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

    ( Revelation 7:9) After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

( Revelation 7:14)...These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

    Revelation 14:1-4

    Revelation 20:4

Can it get any clearer? The 2 witnesses die, and no sooner do they appear in heaven as the coveted 144K. I have no idea where you stand, but, If you're going to dismiss my interpretation, the burden is on you to back it up with facts. Can you post your own ideas about the 2 witnesses for me to review?

This is simply, whatever God has said here, believe it over your own knowledge, because God is right, even if you have no understanding of what he is saying to us, still know its right before your own beliefs.

    Hi Motubu.

John 6:26. Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

    Perhaps?

This means it will literally add years onto your life, never wondered how Adam and his offspring lived so long? Well it tells you here, its simply that what this verse says, follow our Gods ways and it will lengthen your life, ofcourse how strictly you follow it will be the reward outcome.

    Hi Myra,

This very simple: do you want to follow Jesus or not?

If you want to follow Jesus, Jesus said to be baptized in Matthew 28:19.

It also says to be baptized in Acts 2:38.

So, it's very simple- either you follow what Jesus says or you don't. Those who follow Jesus are called Christ-followers or Christians. Genuine Christians have an opporunity to have their sins forgiven and spend eternity with God. I want that, but strangely most don't and are only interested in figuring out how to do the bare minimum while mostly seeking pleasure in sin and doing whatever they want. Motives must be questioned of anyone that doesn't want to follow Jesus's teachings or are seeking to do the bare minimum. It's really one or the other. Either we follow Jesus or we don't. God bless.

    Mark 8:19

When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.

    Matthew 16:9

Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

    Mark 6:44

And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

Fear of the Lord is wisdom. which helps you attain understanding and depart from evil ways. This ultimately strengthens your faith in the Lord. Job never wavered in his Faith, no matter how bad it got his patience was very strong. Just "The patients of Job"

    Sister Audrey,

Best to read your bible and pray and ask God's Holy Sprit to help you understand what you read. There are many people out there that will try to lead you in the wrong direction.they interprete and twist the words they read in the Bible to mean whatever message they are trying to push.

The Sabbath Day has always been the last day of the week - Saturday. God gave us the Sabbath to rest, pray, reflect and give thanks to God. Yes the 4th commandment asks us to Keep Holy the Sabbath.

Many Christians and churches today do not keep the 4th commandment.

There are many references in the Bible regarding keeping God's 10 Commandments. Here is Jesus speaking the following Bible scripture below:

    John 14:15

"If ye love me, keep my commandments."

    John 15:10

"If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love."

In summary: You can always believe in the bible scripture!

    God Bless

No one followed Christ for fish and bread. They followed Him because they believed His teachings. Christ supplied fish and bread to the people because they were hungry.

Audrey, my CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

In the Old Testament (old covenant) God lived in a TEMPLE made of wood and stone. Men met in that temple on the SABBATH.

In the NEW COVENANT Christ is the TEMPLE. Christ LIVES in YOU, making YOU the TEMPLE of GOD. You worship and praise God continually, making every moment the SABBATH, the Lord's day. RESTING in the WORKS OF CHRIST.

Don't be deceived by man's traditions.

Vera, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

It is hard for our fleshly minds to comprehend the CHANGE that is going to occur when we depart this body of flesh and stand in the LIKENESS OF CHRIST. Christ created man, we are all HIS CHILDREN. He KNOWS everyone and LOVES everyone. When we BECOME LIKE HIM you will KNOW and LOVE everyone as he KNOWS and LOVES everyone. All creation not just your family and friends.

Satan was of the highest of angels but he was jealous of God and wanted his own kingdom and started a war in Heaven where him and his followers fell from the Heavens. Satan created evil and deception and wants as many souls in Hell with him so that people will also suffer his demise. God gives us the choice to choose good or evil. Hell was not created for human beings God created it for Satan and his imps but Satan is buying as many souls that will be bought to join him in Hell.

    Mary,

That is a great question. The bible teaches us that God is eternal, meaning He has no beginning and no end. By faith, we believe that God is the creator of all things. No one created God. He has just been in existence throughout eternity. That seems hard to conceptualize because we live in a time/space factor. But what would be easier, to believe He has always been in existence, or to try and figure out who or what God came from?

If we take the latter route, then we would have an endless cycle of trying to figure out who the one before God came from, and who came before that, over and over and over again. It would never end!

  • Norman Walker - In Reply on Psalms 2 - 5 years ago
No one knows where God came from unless he has told someone. One thing to always remember nothing is impossible with God! That is like trying to explain why there are bones of animals that they say are millions of years old. God could have put them on the earth millions of years ago and did not like them, nothing is impossible. There is a lot to say about history when a day is like a thousand years to God. Jesus will have to judge billions of people when he comes down and I have always wondered how he would do that? Maybe one day we will know all the answers but more than likely will not care about that then. Nothing at all is impossible with God, nothing!

    LadyC,

In 1 Corinthians 7:7, Paul says "For I would that all men were even as I myself."

Paul was not married at the time he wrote the letter, even though he was probably married before. Paul was not against marriage but there are some principles that he was presenting concerning marriage among believers.

He said in verse 1 for a man not to be attached to a woman. In other words, when you get into any relationship, your devotion to the Lord changes. And Paul talks about that in another place. Once you get married, you cannot be solely devoted to Christ. You are divided. You are in conflict all the time. The husband is focused on how he might please his wife, and the wife is focused on how she might please her husband.

It's a natural human response. Here's what the Lord wants me to do, but here's what that person wants me to do, and this person over here is not happy. A married man is supposed to live in total devotion to the Lord as if he's not married. Now, that doesn't mean that he avoids the wife. I hope you understand where I'm going with this. I'm talking about devotion. We have to seek the Lord as to what He wants us to do. In other words, it's the opposite of compromise.

Maybe I've given you more than you've asked, or maybe I have not even answered your question at all. I hope I have and I hope this helps you!

    Lex,

The Holy Spirit in a believer causes them to come to true repentance. I say true repentance because there are two separate words in the Greek text for our English word repent. One is METANOEO, and the other is METAMELOMAI.

Metanoeo (Repent) is true repentance. It's when a person makes a decision to change the direction of their life and surrender their life to Christ. But with that comes the understanding that we cannot change ourselves. It takes the Spirit of God in us to make that change. Metamelomai (Repent) simply means you are sorry for your actions. The bible tells us that Judas repented, but the word that was applied to Judas was not Metanoeo.

If you have the Holy Spirit living inside you, He is always working. God's Spirit inside a believer is never dormant. I agree with you that we can be deceived. If we think something is coming from God, how do we know? Satan knows the bible very well. We see that in the instance where he was tempting Jesus out in the wilderness. Satan quoted scripture perfectly. He just misapplied it. So how I know it's from God and I'm not being deceived? I have to trust Christ.

You mention "Genuinely wanting to reconcile with God." Here's a thought. It wouldn't be genuine if God's Spirit didn't put it on your heart. Our flesh wants nothing to do with God and is constantly trying to get away. It's the Spirit of God in us that continually draws us to Christ and brings us to confess the things that disrupt our fellowship with Him.

As far as getting to a place to where we clear on what the scripture says, good luck on that one. I don't know how to get to that place. All I can do is study the word, pray for understanding, and place my trust in the Lord.

In Hebrews 3:12, the word departing is the word apostasy. A believer cannot commit apostasy. Only someone who is involved, maybe intellectually understanding, being enlightened, and even agreeing with the truth, but when the hardships come, they leave. That's called apostasy.

Brother Norman, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed (flesh dies), but incorruptible (Spirit CANNOT die), by the WORD OF GOD, which liveth, and abideth for ever.

The bible is the written WORD, Christ and the Father are the LIVING WORD.

When the WRITTEN WORD becomes TRUTH to you; you are Born of the (living) word, CHRIST IN YOU.

    We are sinful flesh.

Christ came in the LIKENESS OF SINFUL FLESH.

Christ died on the cross. Therefore WE; sinful flesh, died on the cross with him.

When he arose; His new body was no longer a body of SINFUL FLESH, but a body in the IMAGE OF THE FATHER (GLORIFIED).

We also were raise with him (first resurrection), we were GIVEN a down payment of the SPIRIT.

Upon the departing this of the body of flesh; at it's death, we will be GIVEN the rest of the payment.

    THE FULLNESS OF GOD.

A Son of God in the perfect likeness of Christ.

The NEW HEAVEN, where CHRIST LIVES.
