  • Rick Colombe on Isaiah 60 - 6 years ago
On Isaiah 60: You are correct Alex. Jesus paid the price for ALL, yet not ALL will be saved. Look at Matthew 7:13 and 14. Then look at Matthew 7: 21, 22, and 23. This describes to me some of these apostate so called evangelists we are seeing today. Ie. Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, and many others who fall into their false " prosperity " teaching. We are to count the cost in following Christ. It's as easy as just asking Him in, yet we have to follow Him and only Him. We all know through life's experiences that it's not all that easy. I fall short each and every day, and all I have to stand on is His grace. Again, He paid the price for ALL, yet ALL will not be saved.

Please read vs 9 again -- ".... if any man worship the beast or his image and receive his mark ....
I believe the mass of blood is from those who have done this. The exact amount is no nearly as important as the message - all will be slain who have worshiped the beast or his image!

  • Abel - In Reply on Genesis 3 - 6 years ago
If God has omniscience (knowing all things), both past and future, did he not already know beforehand that Adam and Eve would take fruit from the Tree of Knowledge? Did he not already know that the snake would tempt Eve? Therefore, did he not doom Adam and Eve to commit the first sin by placing them in the garden anyways, despite all of this knowledge? How can it be said that they had free will, if it is already known by God and thus already determined in His knowledge?
  • Adam - In Reply on Matthew 10 - 6 years ago
    >HE ALREADY KNOWS WHAT ALL OF US WILL DO

Actually, God is so powerful he can choose to operate in our timeframe. Proof of this is people changing God's mind in the Bible. And he loves us enough to give us freewill and ability to choose good or evil.

Proverbs 29:11 King James Version (KJV)
11 A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

Boy, this is true in order to live a righteous life. I like to speak my mind but I want it to be right; pausing is usually best and listening. My idea of a good discussion is to give something of value to the other party as I am getting insight from them.

To Abel concerning Genesis 3; if you had read on just a little more.
Genesis 4:25 it says that EVE bore Adam another child: named Seth. Just a little further on you see Adams death age, followed by Seths age at death. God was carefully overseeing the blood trail that would lead to the birth of Jesus. None of it was by chance/circumstance. Jesus came into the world. Both Joseph and Mary were descendants of king David. Jesus's blood must be pure from sin. His blood came from the Father. He only had Gods dna. That's why his blood was so unique. He must walk this world 33 years without sin. He called himself. "The Son of Man. "

  • Joshua - In Reply on Hebrews 13:8 - 6 years ago
Amen! 100 years ago people said that the Bible needed to be changed to "get with the times." No doubt people said so before that, and they absolutely say it today. But that is nonsense. Jesus' and His words are the same today as they were 2000 years ago. It's futile for us to change His Word to suit us.
  • Job - In Reply on Matthew 10 - 6 years ago
If that is so, we have no choice. We are not robots, we have a choice to follow Him or not. Let us eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die. Is what you are saying.
