    this is a verse I included in my post today 6/1/2020 "The law of conservation of mass and energy stipulates, neither matter nor energy can be created nor destroyed, but converted into another form. This is a proven law of science, and seen in the exploded atom. That tiny atom did not cease, it can be detected in another form for years. As in Latin, Ex Nihilo Nihil Fit , of nothing nothing comes. Hebrews 11:3 states, "through faith we understand that the worlds were formed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear" .I get the impression that the universe was translated into this dimension from a place we do not see, maybe similar to how light exists beyond the spectrum we see with the human eye. Because all things were always someplace before they manifested here, it is possible to explain the feeling of deja'vu, and it could mean we were alive before we were born, and would explain how we do not die when our body dies. Hebrews 11:3 adds a different view to how we commonly conceive the creation story told in Genesis; taking into account words Jesus said in John 6:63 " the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." words describing can easily be mistaken. I recall 1st Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." Being hard headed or argumentative is not the best form of open mindedness. In religion alone, there are thousands of differing views. This shows how troublesome reality can seem. Our conscious awareness is described as having a beginning, a finite mind. As we grow and learn we understand the meaning of infinite, while being able to get a view of it is different from understanding the meaning of the word. This is why I love to go out on a clear night and look at the stars, and the space all around the stars. It is like a teacher to our understanding"

    The text of the Book of Genesis says Enoch lived 365 years before he was taken by God.

    He was considered to be the author of the Book of Enoch and also called Enoch the scribe of judgment.

    The New Testament has three references to Enoch from the lineage of Seth ( Luke 3:37, Hebrews 11:5, Jude 1:14-15).

    The Book of Enoch is considered to be a historical book and was not canonized into the Bible.

    Greetings Victor, there are two types of rewards. one for the righteous and another for the unrighteous.

    2 Peter 2:13 And shall receive the REWARD reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

    Writing of Judas Acts 1:18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. (his pieces of silver for betraying Christ)

    2 Timothy 4:14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

    This is not a good reward.

    Then there are the rewards for the just in faith.

    Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

    Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

    Jesus speaks in Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

    Some of you might enjoy reading some of Arthur E Bloomfield's books about Israel.
    Signs of the end and end of days are studies we should memorize. Matthew 24, starting at verse 3. Verse 7 mentions PESTILENCE which concerns global diseases like the black plaque in Europe, swine flu, and possibly Corona Virus. It's covering the earth and qualifies as a pestilence. There were some medium size earthquakes all over the mid-east today. It's good to pay attention to events in the world.
    There's a lie being perpetuated about global warming: it is not global warming. People cannot fix or repair that. It is the creation ramping up for the end of days. 2 Peter 3:10 Forests will burn, ice will melt

    That the new born babe desiring the sincere milk OF THE WORD PAUL SPEAKS OF is the H.G. tHE COMFORTER,UNLESS YA RECEIVE THE KINGDOM AS A LIL CHILD ETC Jesus said he wd abide in you forever,abide in me and i in you.He will not speak of himself but what soever he hears THAT will HE TEACH YOU.This father and son relationship between David and Solomon is a metaphor for the father and son relationship between Jesus and the comforter th H.G. Just as Solomon came out of Davids loins th H.G. will come out of Christ loins HE BREATH on them and they received the H.G his breath was his word his seed thus his LOINS the H.G. is a greater builder then Solomon in that he builds his temple in our bodies GBU

    The result of sarahs faith was a child issac that was offered up then in turn was the promise made of multiplication,but christ who was an image of issac actually died thus this heavenly promise is more directed to christ and his seed a heavenly seed.i will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven thus an israel of god will result from christ seed th word th new covenant thus we will birth a baby christ th son of man by faith thats y he is saying that which is born of the spirit is spirit thats our new innerman the h.g. a kingdom child,unless you receive the kingdom as a lil child th promise .when a woman is pregnant she has the substance of things hoped for th evidence of things not seen.

    "By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went." Hebrews 11:8. Abraham's unquestioning obedience is one of the most striking evidences of faith to be found in all the Bible. To him, faith was "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Verse 1. Relying upon the divine promise, without the least outward assurance of its fulfillment, he abandoned home and kindred and native land, and went forth, he knew not whither, to follow where God should lead. I am not 100% sure but there are 4 seasons
    Spring, Summer, Fall or Autumn and Winter
    Sometimes the Bible calls many years a LONG SEASON as in Joshua 24:7 70 years in the wilderness
    Hebrews 11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

    Peter: It is mentioned in Hebrews 1:2 that God made the worlds. Hebrews 11:3 mentions Through faith we understand the worlds were framed by the word of God, we know that definition of faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. There is not any place in the bible that talks of life on other worlds that were created, I'm not saying there is not but God does not reveal

    By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh Hebrews 11:4 . For it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul Leviticus 17:11 . Cain s offering of fruit was from the earth which was now cursed and quite unacceptable to God.

    DBL: Child-sacrifice is not being promoted here, nor is the promise threatened. God already planned out that Isaac wasn't going to actually die and the promise given to Abraham would still be fulfilled. Regardless of the seemingly contradictory command, Abraham still trusted that God wouldn't break his promise, which was what truly demonstrated his faith. ( Hebrews 11:17-19)

    The people who are called by GOD's name are those who believe in HIM, for the scripture says in Hebrews 11:6 for without Faith it is impossible to please GOD and those who come to HIM must believe that HE IS and that HE is a rewards them that diligently seek HIM.

    When ya think about FAITH the substance of things hoped for th EVIDENCE of things NOT SEEN think about a PREGNANCY, GESTATION IN THE SPRITUAL REALM, UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN. In the natural when a woman is pregnant she has the substance of THINGS HOPED FOR THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN,THATS Y THE NEW BIRTH IS SO IMPORTANT WE ARE GONNA BIRTH CHRIST IN OUR LIVES BY FAITH.
  • A disciple on Hebrews 11 - 7 years ago
    George; "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Only someone who can't overcome his own pride and unbelief makes complicated entanglements of contentions about words to deny faith, while pretending to excuse himself. Without faith it is impossible to please Him! Our faith has made us whole! We are justified, counted righteous by God, because we believe!
  • George on Hebrews 11 - 7 years ago
    Both phrases, "things hoped for" and "things not seen" are participial and would more accurately be rendered, "things are being hoped for," "things are being seen." Faith is not the assurance to us, but the substantiation to God that we believe what we proclaim: "I'm hoping for...," "I'm seeing..." That's how the elders obtained good reports (from God), as He saw substantiation and evidence.
