I think that Hebrews 11:6 is a scripturer what we showed do when we have faith and we rewarded when we diligently seek him and it is in possible to please him without Faith
  • Angel on Hebrews 11 - 11 years ago
This is a very powerful chapter. It talks about people of old who used their faith in God to do great things. Some even died, but still hoping. Like Joseph, who believed in the promise God gave to Abraham that He will save His children and take them to the promise land.He asked that his bones be taken with the Isrealites.I am really moved by the story of these old prophets who had faith, and put it to work.I pray that God will help me to believe and hold on till the end.
  • Sikisi Mukubi on Hebrews 11 - 11 years ago
I think it is not about the definition of faith. For me the definition is nothing but our beliefs in God are more important than a simple definition. We can 't define God. Merely believe in Him.
  • Sharlene Cole on Hebrews 11 - 11 years ago
This passage is telling us that the faith god has in us is much stronger than the faith we have in him. And we need not to doubt him but only trust and believe in him no matter what people may say about you cause he knows your heart more than man
  • Jason Young on Hebrews 11 - 11 years ago
Michel, do we do anything for our salvation? Is there anything we can do to influence God? No there isnt. It is our faith in Him not his in us. We are human and make mistakes without even knowing it. Why would a perfect God need to have faith in us?
  • Anonymous on Hebrews 11:3 - 11 years ago
Well. The reason I looked up this verse, is because in class today, they questioned God and how he created it. So, I am going to write a essay, based on evidence and verses to prove my knowings in God and Jesus.
  • Michel on Hebrews 11 - 11 years ago
It is not the faith that we have in Jesus, it is the faith that Jesus has in us.

I heard a pastor explain Faith like this: FAITH is acting as if something is true even when it doesn 't appear to be true. In order that it may be shown to be ture simply because GOD said it was true.
  • Linda on Hebrews 11 - 11 years ago
Hebrews 11. It helped me to understand that if God gives you a vision just start walking. Don 't wait for the finances or approval of man but prayerfully walk through every door he opens and walk away from the ones he closes no matter how fantastic it seems. Allow the holy spirit to be the leader.Understanding that you may encounter some cruelty, but by faith keep walking. It shall speak and not lie. Even your generations to come will obtain that promise.

FOR JOHN 'S COMMENT: FAITH W O OBEDIENCE- FIRST AND FOREMOST, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE FAITH AND BELIEVE IN GOD. FOR WITHOUT FAITH YOU CAN 'T PLEASE HIM AT ALL, NO MATTER HOW MUCH AND MANY GOOD WORKS YOU DO.WHEN YOU ASK GOD FOR ANYTHING YOU MUST BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT HE CAN DO WHATEVER YOU ASK HIM TO, WITH NO DOUBTING AT ALL. IT IS GREATER FOR YOU TO BE NOT ONLY OBEDIENT BUT ALSO WILLING. HE SAY IF YOU BE WILLING AND OBEDIENT YOU WILL EAT THE GOOD OF THE LAND. W O BEING OBEDIENT THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES. BE BLESSED PLZ REFER TO- HEBREWS 11:6, ISAIAH 1:19-20.

Faith according to Hebrews 11:1 is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen and Rom.1:17 the just shall live by faith and Rom.12:3 last line God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith and 2Cor.10:15 middle Paul says "when your faith is increased "..... Rom.10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God...... now Eph.4:7 but unto every one of us is given Grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ 4:8 wherefore he saith, when he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men..... Rom.12:6 says " having then gifts differing according to the Grace that is given to us, whether prophesy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith. i believe today we are all parts of one body to use our gifts for the edifying of the body of Christ.....

  • Gideon bortsie on Hebrews 11 - 11 years ago
About the verse 6,without you having faith in God you can not please him unless you know this you shall never know the truth about Him. And He shall reward those Whose faith is strong in Him like how Abraham exercise the fullness of is faith in Him and it was accounted to him as righteousness and became a blessen for that
  • Ntsoaki on Hebrews 11:6 - 11 years ago
Without faith we cannot please God, actually it says 'it 's impossible, faith is a currency of the Kingdom, again it says 'deligently ' seek Him, we cannot be casual about seeking God, we should do it with deligence, good, things of value will not be found by scratching the surface, diamonds and precious stones are deep deep in the mine and are dug with specialised tools, the Word of God, faith and the Word are inseparable.Let us soar into the deep, let us be deligent in seeking God.

  • Kar on Hebrews 11 - 11 years ago
What a beautiful chapter of Scripture. Coordinate it with Romans 8 which addresses hope then go to Hebrews 11 and these truths will excite your heart. Our faith is the accumulation of our hope and our righteousness is obtained through faith. Our hope is secure, simply live out that hope in faith and we become heirs of righteousness. What a thrill.

  • Preachmoore901 on Hebrews 11 - 11 years ago
these examples of faith acknowledge those fathers that heard God 's voice and obeyed with a corresponding action. This faith would become the main ingredient in pleasing God.Through faith in Jesus Christ plus the works of God equals the Promise to the Believer.Knowing the works of God 's word along with patience perfects your faith in Christ. Faith without works is dead standing alone!!!
