    Annotated Gen.9.9-10 "My covenant" (1 of 2)

And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;/ And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.

"And of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth."

God specifies here 'my Covenant" And there is only one. This is between tod the Father and the Son: the Fellowship of God allows man onn the basis of faith. The Covenant of seven days included blessings from God, which made man a steward for His creation. Every beast with him and now the same blessing is extended to every beast in the post-diluvian world.

In the old world death of Abel who being dead yet speaks, " God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh".His faith still brings him into the earth in his own right and through Noah who is also being righteous and is counted as the double for his Son. My Covenant as a term must be, consequently, understood as between the Word was God and the Word was with God.

v.6 states,"Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man." The Spirit sets him in context of Jesus in whom was life.Blood of Abel speaks in His presence and is a sign. Jesus Christ included him in the list of martyrs in Mt.23.35 to include the continuity of faith is established by the Word. Abel's blessing cannot go in vain. "And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them." (Rev.14.13) Blood of Abel is set in terms of life

We shall set blessings going from the greater to the lesser on the principle of Association. 'He who receives you receives me.." (Mt.10.40;Lk.10.16) Man as a steward includes His creation as well

    Yes, S. Spencer,

As Chris points out. In the Septuagint, which the NT apostles quoted from, uses the word "ecclesia" which means congregation/assembly of the called out ones. The Septuagint uses the word ecclesia in reference to the Israelite nation in the wilderness ( Acts 7:38, Deut. 18:16, ; 23:1; Ps. 26:12) Just as there is the visible ecclesia now and the invisible ecclesia (which includes all true believers), there was the visible ecclesia in the wilderness and the invisible ecclesia (which included all true believers such as Moses, Caleb, Joshua, and those who entered the land of Canaan who had faith as Abraham did.

    Chris,

Love what you have written here!

I recall how Jesus spoke to the teachers of the Torah saying that they diligently search it, but fail to realize that it was written about Jesus from start to finish. Having such a Christocentric view of the Scriptures and building one's hermeneutic and theology upon this focus seems to me to be the key to understanding all Scripture. When Jesus finally was incarnated in the "Last days" He ushered in a new way for not only the Jews for all who were, are, and will be reached with the Jesus' one gospel and believe that He is the one and only promised Messiah and Savior for all who put their trust in Him because He lived a perfect life, died a sacrificial death to forgive and destroy sin in those who believe on Him, and resurrected from the dead victoriously, and ascended to the right hand of the Father to rule and reign forever because He received all power and authority from the Father to do so.

This Christocentric view of Scriptures I have always held to throughout my life. Up until just the past few years, all I read was the Scriptures always knowing that Scriptures point to Jesus and so we should be looking for how Christ and His work of redemption for us is revealed and emphasized. He truly is worthy of all of our diligence in seeking to gain understanding of Scripture.

It is late here. I just got up to have a midnight snack. Glad I checked in here. Your thoughts align with my thoughts earlier this evening on Jesus being the center of all that God does in creation, time, space, and history.

Thank you brother Giannis for that timely reminder that "where your treasure is, there will your heart be also". This must be a moment-by-moment vigilance that we employ, for our great adversary is not far away to tempt us to idleness of mind, straying of the eye, and seeking after pleasures that cater to the flesh. The brief pleasure one gains by these, brings aloofness from our loving Heavenly Father and resulting spiritual discomfort and pain through separation. The heavy price we must pay for this loss is simply not worth any ungodly distraction. Blessings and thanks for sharing this important reminder.

Hi bro. S. Spencer. I believe there were many under the Old Covenant that were saved. We tend to define 'salvation' in NT terms, requiring genuine repentance and belief in Christ Jesus' salvific Work on the Cross. But as a fundamental definition, 'salvation granted' in God's terms, would be His full acceptance of those who are right before Him (both in faith and its resulting fruit).

As you know, Hebrews chapter 11 is the classic example of the few folk mentioned whom God accepted, by their faith, not having received the promise (of the coming Deliverer, Debt-payer and the hope of eternal life). And in closing that chapter, the writer declares, "And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect."

Not having received the promise as yet, the OT saints waited in faith, in a faithful God. God having accepted them by their faith & patient waiting, yet their perfection was still to be realized through the merits of the Cross, the New Covenant in Christ's Blood, and the ultimate fulfilling of God's Promises to Abraham. And that same faith in a loving God is what we express today; so together, they, with us, can now enjoy both spiritual and eternal perfection through the Son of God. Without Jesus, any faith or hope we exhibit would all be vanity, but in Christ we have "an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast", Who keeps and sustains the saints of old and us today securely and eternally. GBU.

UPON THIS ROCK I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH!!

A well known quote of Jesus from Matthew 16:18 l.

Most agree that "this Church" started at Pentecost. This is no doubt a people of God

    Question.

We're there any people saved in the OT?

God is unique and has only one true self.

We read in Jesus's longest prayer in John 17. For the reason Jesus was sent, He says, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."

There is one people of God, as stated in Ephesians 2:15-16.

Scripture does not teach that Israel and the Church are two peoples of God with two destinies. Our final destiny is Revelation 21:1-7. There is not one verse in the Bible that outright says we go or are taken to heaven. From Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21, the entire Bible is about the Plan of God and the grace of God. From the beginning of creation. Revelation 3:14 to the end, Revelation 22:12-13.

Genesis 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. Galatians 3:28-29 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

The mystery is that the blessings of Abraham might come on all believers, Jew or Gentile, through Jesus Christ, Galatians 3:14. Jesus had to fulfill the covenant of the law to bring in the new covenant that was prophesied in Daniel 9:27.

The Bible has one theme, one covenant of grace, with one Church united in Christ, with Gentile salvation in view from the beginning. Jews were being saved back then, and today, in God's plan for ethnic Jews, not by giving them a separate destiny as a separate people of God, but by bringing them back to Jesus Christ through faith.

    See part 2.

God is unique and has only one true self. Part 2

There is but one olive tree; some branches were cut off that we might be grafted in. We should not boast but be thankful, because by doing so, we could be cut off, Romans 11:17-21. We think today the Church, the body of Christ, as being Gentiles, but the Church, the body of Christ, started with the Jews," to the Jew first", that began at Pentecost, Romans 1:16. We, by the grace of God, were added to the olive tree and the Church, the body of Christ.

Of the Jews, the Lord saves a remnant through Christ, then and today, while the rest fell for the reconciliation of the world, us. God is not done with Israel; their return to God through faith in Christ will be like life from the dead, Romans 11:15.

Have we become ignorant of the mystery of their blindness in part and become wise in our own conceits until the fullness, meaning, completion, fulfillment, or the total of the Gentiles? When will that be? Tomorrow, years from now. Are we ready? Are we looking for things that are not coming?

Is our faith strong enough that we are willing to face death? There are many teachings out there, but only one truth. Deception is thick; we are in spiritual warfare, Colossians 2:8, 1 John 4:1. Discernment is critical in spiritual warfare; it enables believers to differentiate between truth and falsehood, particularly in the context of teachings and prophecies.

It is found in prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as Jesus said in John 16:13-14 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

    God bless,

    Giannis,

At this time of year particularly, I feel overly tired. I call it "hibernation mode".

I hope the rest will do you so much good and that you take it easy on your knee. Will you be having surgery?

Went to the orthopedist yesterday to get cortisteroid injections in both shoulders. My cartilage is being worn down and I have osteophites from arthritis in the joint and shoulder sockets. My x-ray showed that the space between my ball joint and socket has reduced in half from last years x-ray. There is barely any cartilage left there. At some point I will need shoulder replacement surgery on both shoulder joints. Doctor said she is hoping that the shots every four months will continue to mitigate the pain for a few more years in order to hold off surgery longer. Hoping to get till 75 before I do surgery as most replacements last 15-20 years before they need to be redone. So if all works well in this regard, I will be 90+ and hopefully with the Lord before I would need to re-do the surgery.

My husband and I turning 69 soon. Getting old has its problems with our bodies wearing down but there are many up-sides to being older and wiser, for sure.

More about our relationship with Jesus. ... pt2

When God sees such an approach, it is impossible not to be moved. And so He does His side. He sees our efforts and sends His grace, His presence, and then things change a lot.

Matthew 13:12, "For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath."

The pastor in y church told us a story. He was sick in the hospital and his wife was trying hard to feed him because he did not feel like eating. He became very skinny. So his wife did something clever. She gave him a spoonful of food at first. Just one spoonful of food. And then the next time two spoonfuls, the next three spoonfuls, then four and so on. After a month or two he said he became overweight. Sometimes we may not feel like getting closer to God. But let us approach Him step by step. A small step today, a bigger step tomorrow, an even bigger step the day after tomorrow, and we will find ourselves very close to the Lord after some time. We must try and think of ways to renew our relationship with God constantly. This must be is continuous process.

God's feelings for us never change. But we have to be careful about our feelings for Him.

More about our relationship with Jesus. ... pt1

Two people when they get married together, as mentioned above, are very excited about their relationship. They love being together all the time, they try to do their best to make the other person happy, etc. etc. But over time, this initial excitement diminishes. People get used to each other, they start to see the other person not as the ideal person they saw them before. Their daily life wears down their initial love for each other. To varying degrees this happens to all people. There are very few exceptions where people do not lose their initial interest in each other. This is the human nature. If the couple does not renew their relationship in various ways, their relationship will eventually become a life they live together because they are used to living together. As a habit. Smart people always renew their relationship. In various ways. Going often out to restaurants, traveling together, doing various activities together, giving gifts, spending time together, showing interest in the other person and their needs, saying compliments, etc, etc.

It is exactly the same with our relationship with Jesus. After the initial excitement when we first believe, our love for Him can wane. We get used to the idea of a sacrificed Christ. We get bored reading the Bible. Prayer becomes difficult. We are not as eager to go to church. Jesus may not impress us as much as before. Our feelings for Jesus may diminish.

So what do we do to keep things the same as before? We must always be in the mood to always renew our relationship with God. How? Examples. By continuing to read His Word, by continuing to pray, by continuing to have fellowship with other believers, by sharing our experiences .... Let's think of ways to always renew this relationship, otherwise after a while we might get bored. We may not feel like doing all of these things, but if we keep doing them we can keep our interest in God alive.

    Further thoughts regarding persecution

In regard to the last post in particular as I have stated before there are probably 10 or 100 to one cases of so called "lesser" actions such as extortion of money; destruction of property; servitude in type of jobs available which Islam mandates through Sharia law as well as the government leaders of nations with dictatorship although we tend to see a blend of both in many cases with one form of rule being dominant. Clearly IF we can get help to people without it being confiscated or leading to further persecution at its discovery by the ruling officials we can help to relieve the want for basic needs such as food; shelter; clothes; etc. The same can be said for those building water filtration plants and wells where needed. There is; as I pointed out last post human factors in much of the suffering today which natural climate variations can exacerbate.

In this country; of course we have risk of gradual encroachment of certain individuals already creeping in such as Sharia law basically overtaking Dearbourne, MI and what up until today in the Philly area was a gang terrorizing with death threats local neighbors. I rejoice that the drugs and guns and other paraphernalia were confiscated; nonetheless realize there is so much more work to be done for any significant change. It is easy to be comfortable and I am grateful in the suburb I live in for the police protection (we had at least 2 stoppages down the street today by the railroad where this happens almost daily). But being the salt and light certainly is needed as well; that I am convinced helped the Borough of Wilkinsburg where I used to fellowship years ago in the Pittsburgh area which had high levels of crime in the early 90s; with gang activity and the local Reformed church there did and is still doing much to reach out there as well as having a Discipleship house in the area still.

Things there at least became less bad since then and I'm sure it is the Lord

Some more sobering meditation on the state of the persecuted church today

My last post focused on America; often compared in this day to the Laodicean church mentioned in Revelation 3:14 to the end of that chapter. In terms of what we can do; as I stated we need to get beyond having an improper contentment with material things just for the sake of having or hoarding it for ourselves; thus prioritizing our finances toward the ministry which to a large extent would extend to missionaries abroad who are usually struggling to make ends meet as well as trying to help with medical and other infrastructure concerns in their country of focus.

In the past I knew someone who was one of a small group of about 16 people that went into a nation of high persecution through borders of other countries; and 4 or so of them were martyred. I applaud the courage of those who are called to such a mission for the sake of the Gospel; I'll just add that we should sense the Spirit's leading in such endeavors lest we attempt it in our own strength or for some reason it isn't His will at the time. Our status diplomatically has allowed some restraint on such actions to American citizens in the past; but persecution certainly isn't far from our doorstep. When we do a cursory exam of Nigeria as an example; it is interesting that the nation itself did a fair amount of effort to enforce gun control; and the overall economy has been doing fairly decently in recent years. That; of course doesn't do much for a majority of citizens in dire poverty; but the REASONS for much of this are militia groups (with guns) that stop people from leaving their area to go to town or their own lands to harvest. The soldiers from the military are the only barrier to stop these marauding tribesman (I won't try to pronounce the main one of several factions). We should therefore pray God will lead some more of them to the truth so they have the conviction to protect their own citizens.

    Dear Giannis,

Thanks for these posts on the love relationship we have with Jesus.

We all need to take stock of how we live for and love Him, asking the Holy Spirit to help us reset the priorities of our day to day life in alignment to His desires and purposes for giving us another day to live in this life/

I do hope that your injury heals quickly and that your knee is stabilized from the tear.

    pt 3

As said Judas is the most well known case. One of the best in the beginning so that Jesus included him in the twelve. Appointed as an apostle, among the others. With a purpose to sit him at the end on a throne to judge one of Israel's tribes. What a privilidge. But sometime later on he started loving money more than Jesus eventually betraying him. He wasn't careful in protecting his heart from sin. And he lost his soul. Satan is always trying to find a gap to enter our heart. If we let him do it then he gets in and destroys. And leads people to destruction. A similar case was Saul the first king who loved glory more than Gob, Ballam who loved honor and riches more than God. All those didn't go to God. They went there where their heart led them to.

Hebr 11:24-26, "24By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; 25Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward."

The reward, if we lay hold Christ, is eternal life. God has prepared a Paradice for us. Let us not loose our target.

    pt 2

Why do we loose/leave our initial love for God? Simply because in the midtime we come to love something else more than God, whatever that might be. And people usually follow what their heart loves best, and if that is not God then it is somehting else And so they leave Him and the narrow path He wishes us to walk on.

In the parable of the Sower, the third case, Jesus describes a type of Christians, Luke 8:7, "And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it." and in Luke 8:14 He explains "And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection."

Why did those people bring no fruit? Because they left God and their life in Christ. Why? Because they loved some things more than God. They loved the pleasures of this life, the riches etc so they leave God and go forth for what they love more.

In Hebrews Paul raises our attention about something serious. Hebr 3:11-14,

    "12Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin 14For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Sin can harden our hearts in leaving God and follow a wordly sinful life. It can deceit us. Our heart becomes evil and unfaithful. Even the cares of this life can do that. For if we live to aquire more and more and to please ourselves all the time we end up with no time for God. The eternal life is our priority. All others come next. We will not take anything with us from this life up there. We will leave them all down here.

In the scriptures there are examples/warnings of people who failed because they followed what in the midtime their heart loved more than God. Judas is the most well known case.

To all the saints. pt 1

As I said before our relationship with Christ is (ought to be) similar to a love affair. As both persons in such a relationship wish to please each other, similarly if we love God we should try to please Him, We don't want Him to be sad. And how can it be shown that we love Him? By doing what He asks us for.

John 14:23, "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him."

Like we do about what our mate asks for. Is there any case that we refuse to do what our mate asks for, what pleases them? If we love them then no, there isn't such a case. It is not possible to refuse to please them. Pleasing them is our first priority. If we don't really love them then we don't really care. So if we are careless about God's wishes from us, then this means that we don't really love Him or at least we don't love Him that much.

In the beginning of our lives with God, we are really very enthusiastic about it. We think about even the smallest detail. We try our best. We are very careful not to displease God. But as a human love affair, which is tried by the circumstances of our common life and which is also tried by time, similarly our relationship with God is tried by all those things that come across in our lives. And time tests our love. On the way we may loose our first love for our mate or for God. Why? Let's see that angel of the church of Ephesus.

Jesus says to Him, (after congratulating him about all those he achieved) something which is a complain, Rev 1:4, "Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love."

Why did that pastor left his first love? Why does John leave Ann and goes with Helen? Because he loved Helen more that Ann. Simple. Why do we loose/leave our initial love for God? Simply because meanwhile we come to love something else more than God, whatever that might be.

I am really grateful to S. Spencer and Brother Chriis for their responsses to my question about the Lord not being able to see our face when we are burdened with sin. Brother Chris, I was actually looking for Isaiah 59, 1, 2. It was for a bible study I taught this past Wednesday, and it was a very important point. This is the first time I have used this forum and your responses surprised me as they got to me so quickly. Of course I had my information a little muddled because the verses say that we cannot see His face, not that He cannot see ours. I hope to use this forum often, and maybe I can be as helpful to someone in here as were to me. Thank you again. June 316

    Revelation 3:14-22

    14And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

I have done commentaries on this before; much is self explanatory reading these scriptures which have exemplified it sees-much of the condition of the church especially in America today.

Godliness with contentment is great gain ( 1 Tim. 6:6); but we have more than is needed when we are not comfortable at a certain level and fighting to maintain what we have beyond our needs. We certainly should prioritize the needs of others; particularly in the body of Christ and a generous spirit ideally in theory should be rejoicing in the ability to further assist others.

It is easy to forget the suffering of the church in third world counties unless we realize all good gifts are from above ( James 1:17) and we heed to the warnings of what will soon come to the rich ( James 5:3).

    Annotated Gen.9.4 "Blood"

But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

God forbade Noah and his sons while Jesus said,"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you."(Jn.6.53) Along side we shall place another verse. " I am the living bread which came down from heaven:" As bread of life he came down to do the Will of the Father."For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me."( Jn 6,38, 51) What was the Will but expressed by the voice of the Lord. Thus the Word become flesh and analogous to it is the blood which expresses his humanity. There is an emblem in the Will of the Father, which is the Lamb slain before the worlds began. Blood required of his Son was shed on the cross and not elsewhere.Partaking of bread and wine during the communion was symbolic of the Covenant everlasting. This newness is determined in heaven. "And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me./ After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me."(1 Cor.11.24-25) This is how God also remembers. In this context we came across "And God remembered Noah (8.1) It is not flesh or blood but ilife what causes remembrance both in God and man.

There is no blood found anywhere in heaven where the Word circular makes the sound (the Will) and sign (the blood)

Our heart serves as an altar so a living sacrifice is our reasonable service. "and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul."

Significance of the number Five is recalled in the brazen altar.(Exod.27.1-3) four square with four horns. Word of God the same north, south east west. Jesus Christ,as fulfilment.

Great Scriptures bro. S. Spencer. Giving us a little glimpse of Jesus' great desire for a unified Body, both positionally and with Christ-like love, holding onto the Truth. A very strong testimony to the world, and of the Work of Christ in every heart that turns to Him alone. That testimony alone should speak volumes, but alas, the Church is so fragmented, entertaining all manner of doctrines, with sin rampant. The world watches all this and will pick up on every divergence & hypocrisy. The Church is in a very sad state, but there are lights shining brightly for the Lord amongst them - may our little light so shine among men, that through our good works and godly living, may glorify our Father in Heaven. Every blessing.

    b. and this is concerning the apostles not destined for Heaven but to remain on Earth to judge the twelve tribes. John 14:1-3 was Jesus' assurance & comfort to His disciples (in their questioning and confusion: John 13:33-38), that He had to leave them to return to His Father. But He would return for them. During His departure, Jesus would prepare 'dwelling places' for them and that at His Return, He would take them to be with Him (at His Father's house - Heaven). Do these verses suggest to you that Jesus' Promise to them is that their destiny would actually be Heaven (at least in the interim, with the saints in their deaths or the rapture)? It would be very difficult to believe that these places being prepared in Heaven for the apostles are not actually located in Heaven but on Earth (or maybe what the new Earth has in store for them), given what Jesus spoke about. Blessings.

Thanks again Lbooth1955. It seems from your comment that the development of the Body of Christ, the Church, took place only after this mystery was revealed to Paul. But before that revelation, it was unheard of and un-formed. And as this only happened since Paul's arrival, all those during his time & ministry who believed came into this newly formed Body. So, even those who believed in Christ before this revelation given to Paul, still came under 'Israel's prophetic kingdom program' (including the apostles). I think that is the gist of what you believe and shared on this particular subject. Please correct my understanding if I've erred.

So the twelve preached the Gospel of the Kingdom, and though not destined for Heaven at their demise, still had the promise of eternal life and earthly recognition in "judging the tribes of Israel". That raises a couple of questions:

    a. should we actually believe that until the ministry of Paul, no one believing during the ministry of Jesus in Israel, His resurrection/ascension and until Paul's conversion, being taught by the Lord in the desert, & his revelation to the Churches, could ever be included into the Body of Christ? It seems then that the Plan for God's acceptance and adoption of believers in that interim period was not evident and that God had waited for Paul's conversion & teaching to believers to instigate this new relationship into His Son's Body. Or..maybe God didn't have to wait for Paul - that the Body of Christ had immediately formed at Pentecost comprising all who turned to Christ, with or without Paul; but to Paul was given the Word to identify & proclaim this already formed Body to believers. Annotated Gen.9.1-6 "in the image"

"And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth".There is only one blessing that adds to life eternal.ItOnly God has the authority to give it and when Jesus blessed children life was the core value. Trust as the children place is direct and it is how the Father Son relationship in heaven works. Life of the Spirit.. His son as the slain Lamb showed his trust. When Jesus died on the cross it established blood as sacred. Blessing in short is devolved from God so simple benediction works on thprinciple of Association."Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,"(Num.6.23)

Life of man is in the blood and it is bonded with the life of the Son.Thus the blessings enjoined in the Covenant bonded not only in terms of biology but also in terms of the Spirit."For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul."(Lev.17.11)

2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.

6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
