I agree with you that the Holy Spirit would go forward and open the eyes of the spiritually blind and deaf: to hear and understand the Gospel of Christ. I agree with this sister, that on cords of love the Holy Spirit would draw these family members to Jesus for salvation and forgiveness of sins. Love covers a multitude of sins: May love and forgiveness seal their salvation and shelter the new birth from all demonic persecution.

I pray for nothing less than what You, Lord, did for me. May Your Holy Spirit undertake in their new birth and sink their roots deeply into the Life you've purposed for them. I ask you for angels to assist in their protection and urge them to come to the Cross. We stand together against Satan and all his evil plans against my loved ones.

Together, we ask this in Jesus Name and believe we have, what we have prayed for. We praise Your Holy Name.

I am in agreement with your prayer and my faith is strong as we wait upon the miracle of salvation.

The Bible prophesies match with earth dates and celestial movement and actual human connection.

Also, I have waited 36 years for my kid to believe in Jesus. We talked and I can tell he believes on Jesus.

It's so weird. After I was saved I went to a church to be water baptized. I came out of occultism and I had to do it to get the demons out of my house. (It worked). My then 6 yr old son was adamant to be baptized in the pool with me.

He's had friends and his cousin who was more like a brother (all Christians) who died in their 20's in horrible accidents. He blamed God, which seems to be a common reaction. I asked God about it. He took me to the Prodigal Son story. I guessed it was going to be a long wait. I prayed so hard.

If you're praying for someone, don't give up, ever. It's worth all the tears we sow. I told him often as he grew up, that the Lord doesn't erase the names from the Book of Life.

Loneliness is so crushing at times. I am sorry that you are spending most of your time alone. I know that studying takes concentration without distractions. What are you studying? I will pray the God will send someone your way to interact with often. Maybe going to the park for a walk will provide an opportunity to meet someone, maybe a walking partner. But I think the key may be to just get out and be around people. Also, if you are feeling very depressed, I suggest counseling.

I am praying for your children. Please pray for mine, 3 sons all in their 30's. have wandered away from Jesus, despising what we aught them growing up. They need a real awakening. They are suffering as a result of their rebellion. They are adults, so in many ways, it seems my hands are tied, except I know that Jesus loves them more than I ever could and He is working in their lives 24/7 and I cannot do that. I continue to pray for them everyday for the past 20 years. (when things began to change for them) I appreciate your prayers and hope that your children will submit to God so that he can change them into godly children hat love to do what is good. Are your children young, teenagers, or adults?

Yes indeed GiGi, the LORD God is & can only be Spirit in both His Essence & Form. And through His Being, He is able to send out His Spirit to accomplish His purposes & also His Word to embody it in whatever Form He wishes. For our sakes, His Word became flesh & dwelt among us.

We are generally told that Jesus came down from Heaven for the sake of suffering & death, taking on humanity. I think this is spoken of in such manner as the deeper theological aspect of it is being 'spared' us; i.e. it's easier to say & comprehend that Jesus came down instead of God's Word changed in composition for the sake of sinners. I liken this to asking Jesus into one's heart when invited to repent & believe. Theologically speaking, we are repenting, believing, being born again, with the Holy Spirit (Christ's Spirit) coming to indwell us. Yes, Jesus does come in, but does so by His Spirit - and I support this by the fact that Jesus, as God in the flesh, is ascended & seated at His Father's right Hand ( Colossians 3:1 & others). At least that's the only way I can understand & apply the Scriptures that speak of this matter.

And that's a wonderful stanza of your song - very pointed - very apt. Did you put those words into music? I can almost hear it being sung in Heaven with music written from above.

I think that 1 john 2:27 does teach us that the Holy Spirit will guide our learning, but it does not say we should learn alone or in a vacuum. We are to teach and exhort one another, building one another and edifying those who we interact with in Christ. I have learned many things from the Holy Spirit in a private setting. These teachings and illumination of Scripture by the Holy Spirit are very obvious and easily identified as being from Him. I have learned many things from the preaching of my pastor. Sometimes, unbeknownst to me, he preaches on a passage of Scripture I just read the night before. Many times I learn from a Bible study. But I think that I learn the most when i am with my friends of 40+ years and we talk life, kids, concerns, and the great things Jesus is doing in us each day.

That many haven't died of covid.

Look at the CDC's website about covid comorbidities and in fine print you see that only 5% of the deaths are from covid alone. Also, notice that the normal flu, pneumonia, heart disease, lung disease numbers are down. Why? Because they're counting them as covid. Why? Health providers so this to make more money through the Cares Act. Most people know the health care system in the US is corrupt and dishonest, so do you think the #1 best opportunity to make money they will suddenly become honest? Now, look at CDC covid vaccine deaths and read the fine print where they don't count the deaths as vaccinated deaths until 14 days after the injection. That is when most deaths from the vaccine occur though- which is tens of thousands of deaths, all 100% avoidable if they didn't take the injection. I believe they count the vaccinated deaths as unvaccinated covid deaths, furthering the narrative. Politicians make millions off pushing this and pharma companies getting filthy rich off selling the death injections.

Most people don't get covid, but the minority that does will survive it just fine with a healthy immune system, but some are so afraid that they have taken the vaccine and died, because they were so afraid of dying. Does that make sense to risk death to avoid death?

But none of these even matters for Christians, because we're supposed to honor God and follow His commands, including do not kill. Killing an unborn baby is murder. And taking their tissue and putting it in your body is immoral and a sin. The covid vaccine contains aborted baby tissue and that is evil. Even if it was 100% safe and no one ever died or was injured from it, which there have been nearly 1 million reported injuries from it just in the VAERS database in the US, but the aborted baby parts in it makes this a no brainer decision.

I am not Chris. I just recently arrived at this site, a few weeks ago. Chris, it seems has been on here for some time. I do not know Chris or anything about him other than what I read on this site. It seems that he and I do have a lot in common when it comes to communicating what we know of God's truth and in just expressing ourselves in writing. Please, neither of us are on this site to get a following, God forbid! We just want to be part of the discussions, contributing what we have learned or what we think about topics, just like everyone else. Please be gracious to us as we are to you and think the best of people who post on this site. People who know me would say that I am kind an giving, eager to be helpful and to serve others, sincerely caring, and easy to be with. They would also say that I am analytical and intellectual when considering such matters as Scripture, that I can express my viewpoint well, and that I love to study matters deeply and thoroughly. But more so than these things, they would say that I know and love Jesus and care that others are fed the Truth of God, no false teachings. Hope this helps you. Thanks for asking. I usually fast so I can pray when I feel God leading me to do or say something to another person that would take courage on my part or impactful to the other person. I want to be doing and saying only what God would have me do or say-non of me and all of God. I usually would fast from all food, but liquids for a few days up to a week. AFter a few days, hunger subsides.

I so agree with your post. It is well stated and easy to understand.

Yes, God will lead each person in the way He wants them to grow, whether in Scripture knowledge, character building, in love, in gratitude, in graciousness, in forbearance, etc. He works with us individually. Not every believer will follow the same path as another believer. We do not need to be Bible scholars. We can be scholars in science, archeology, geography, history, etc. to help understand aspects of the Bible and help others. We are called to grow in grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ, so our pursuits should feed growth in these areas.

Same for me, I want to know the love of Christ more and more and share it with others always.

I am 65 and have a handful of risk factors,. Bummer. Was healthy until I turned 60! But I die a little moment by moment and probably accelerates as we get into our senior years. I am in God's hands and I am not afraid. I have been vaccinated, as has my husband and family members. None have had any adverse reaction. Not sure what may happen down the road, but then again, who does? There are so many things people can die from. I just am doing what i can to not get covid because of my asthma. It wouldn't be a cakewalk for me, most likely. I prayed to get direction from God and am peace with my decision. I continue to pray that God will eradicate this virus. But, then, will there be another, and another? God knows. We are to walk in faith that if we live or die, we are with the Lord. He will never leave us or forsake us, and His love for us never fails.

Hello, sharing differences of opinions on spiritual matters is not being contentions, per say. It is the heart attitude that determines if a post is being contentious or not. For myself and so many on here, we have hearts of love for one another and a desire to bring clearer understanding of God and His Word.

Be blessed, and if you are bothered by the back and forth of some conversation, just skip over them if your spirit says to do so.

Being perfect often means being holy or complete. So, I guess doing some kind of search on the word in the context of the passage might be helpful to discover what is meant here.

Paul fell to the ground and Jesus said, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?" And Paul said, "Who are you Lord?" He did not know it was Jesus, but knew He was in the presence of God or an angel. Jesus answered and said, I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads." (which means that it will be difficult for Paul to resist this call.) Jesus was being forceful with Paul in a way that he could not get away from Him or refuse Him. Paul did not happen to become a Christian. he was hard pressed into service to Jesus, and his conversion was immediate, firm, and lasting through many trials and persecutions. Paul was born t fulfill the calling Jesus was putting on him in this encounter, all of his learning and training, the tenacity of character formed in him, the all or nothing attitude formed in his heart. God had guided all of his days to accomplish a wide-spread work into the Gentile world. Jews, especially Pharisees did not associate with Gentiles in any way. Gentiles were seen as filthy, subhuman, idolaters. What a change of mind and heart Christ did in Paul that day, and for the rest of his life. This conversion was exceptional, unique, and powerful.

Paul was hand-picked by God to do one of the most important works within the church. He was called to be all things to all people so that he may win some over to the gospel of Jesus. He had exceptional training as a Jewish Pharisee. He learned from Gamaliel, who was one of the most respected teacher and leader in the Sanhedrin. Paul was totally immersed in Judaism all of his life up to his conversion. Unlike most of the other apostles, he was well-educated, able to read and write with great skill. He was excelled at oration and debate. Above all this, he was entirely zealous for God. He was exactly the man God desired to preach the gospel in most any setting, to refute those who opposed him, to explain the gospel and doctrinal teachings in ways that could reach those all over Asia Minor, where many towns were isolated mountainous terrain and steeped in pagan practices. Paul not only knew Judaism, but he knew quite a bit about the pagan practices and belief of the people he was hoping to reach. He was fearless before those in authority who opposed him. He was tenacious in that he held fast to Judaism in the face of Gentile influence. he lived in Tarsus, a city in the river plain on the coast of south Asia Minor. God provided for him to become this man in the Jewish faith, and then he called him out of it in a jarring way.

On the way to Damascus in the north near the Syrian border he was on a campaign to root out and kill any he found that followed Jesus. He saw Messiah and God as a rival sect to true Judaism that threatened the purity of the Jewish faith. He was on a mission to kill any and all believers in Jesus with great passion and hatred. Suddenly, Jesus arrived on the road in front of Paul, shining with such a bright light that Paul was blinded by the light. The power of God knocked him off his horse (or the horse bucked him off). The other people with him did not sere Jesus. This encounter was for Paul only. God was to make a radical change in Paul.

I think that some of the signs of a cult are

Claims to have exclusive new revelations straight fr:om God.

Obvious teaching false doctrines

Claiming to be the only true church that follows the true god

Isolation of members from family and previous relationships that were outside of the fellowship.

Promoting sexual immorality among members and saying it is done for Jesus

Exceedingly strict conduct and dress codes promoting uniformity.

Separation of children from parents for "educational" purposes, but teachings are secretive.

Asking people to tithe hilariously by transferring home deeds, and other personal financial matters over to the church leader/s.

The leader has a select group of a few "yes" men that protect him and ensure people do not speak against the "anointed".

Sorry I got the name wrong. Keep up the good work. These wrestling with theological matters is good and healthy. it makes a person think deeply to present their reasoning in a way that is logical and can be understood. Here we are having these discussions with other believers, but we will be asked hard questions by unbelievers, so, doing this with loving believers is good practice.

God is Love. Four times God is mentioned saying Hate:

Revelation 2:6; 2:15

Proverbs 6:16-19

Romans 9:13

In none of those did God say he hates the world.

Hardly anyone bats an eyelash when someone tries to estimate how many unborn humans have been scraped out of their mothers wombs. I mean abort. Miscarriages are different.

In the Book of Job ch 1, we see it is SATAN that causes, chaos, killing storms, loss of almost everyone in his family. Then "friends" show up and show Job all his faults and failings (ACCUSER). God didn't blame Job. He abundantly replaced all Job lost, and healed him.

PEOPLE start wars. Israel always asked God to bless their conflicts and wars; and they won. He blessed their faith.

God is not involved in carnage on the earth so far.

There is a day of judgement coming. Most people have an inner knowledge of that. God consciousness. ROMANS 1, says mankind is without excuse if they deny Gods existence.

He gets blamed for all the bad stuff. Never mind bad choices, carelessness, failure to maintain safety measures, etc.

God stands willing to forgive every human for sins if they will turn to Jesus as Savior and Lord.

Casual Christians have no idea what they are missing out on. Jesus will give you his spirit through the Holy Spirits indwelling. Sitting on the throne of your heart. He speaks to your spirit. You hear his voice. He's not barking orders at us. He says I love you! I chose you to be my own treasured child.

Watch a DVD, The Passion of the Christ. Does Jesus appear a mean dictator hanging on the Cross in shreds?

All the wars in the Mideast: lost lives are because Ishmael's descendants wrecked their lands and consumed their wealth on short term happiness. God blessed Ishmael more. They're rich.

But they COVET what God gave Israel. A tiny 9 mile wide strip of land. Look at all the blood spilt there!

I am glad you recovered from covid both times. When I had influenza A in March of 2020, (I was tested for both flu and covid was positive for Inf. A negative for covid) I was sicker than I have ever been, down in bed with a fever, cough, breathing problems, chills, sweats, no appetite for a whole month. Had the anitviral flu meds, didn't help, had two rounds of antibiotic and two rounds of prednisone, didn't help improve. Took another month to be able to be up and eating and not flake out. Then it took another month until I felt normal again. So, knowing my risk, I stay home as much as I can. I do not visit many people, and if I do see a friend, we walk in a park, but it is only two of us. Our sons come over, and are all vaccinated. My mom is 88 and is not vaccinated. This is part of the reason I don't go out and about much so that I reduce the chances of bringing covid into her home.

I am not afraid, as I trust the Lord, but I am taking precautions out of love for my Mom and myself as well. In being home for the past 18 months, I have not had any respiratory infection. That is such a blessing. Prior to this I taught Kindergarten. The kiddos were sweet, but major germ factories. It was no longer a safe work situation for me and am thankful I could have a year of paid medical leave and now retire.
