Neini Curulala, very interesting and controversial subject of the day Christians should observe the Sabbath. Let us remember that God is speaking to Israel or the Jewish nation in its infancy therefore they should observe the Sabbath on Saturday. The Christian church began in houses of Christians because the Jews kicked them out of synagogues. The Early Christians started to observe the Sabbath on the first day of the week which would be Monday on the Jewish calendar. Most Christians of the world observe and I can 't see from Scripture any better reason than to honor the resurrection day of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who himself fulfilled the whole law. As Jesus said in John 4:22 "Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews ". But salvation is by Jesus Christ who came through the Jewish nation and is himself the salvation of mankind. Mark 2:27 Jesus said, "the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. Let us not be like the Pharisees which Jesus told in Matt. 23:24 "Ye blind guides, which strain at gnat, and swallow a camel ". God bless us all and in the understanding of his Word. Glory be to Jehovah in the highest through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen!

Reading John 1:1-5, we will find out that The Word was with God in the beginning. Verse 1 says 'lInux the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and God was the word ' '. So if you agree with the Bible, you will know that The word became flesh Jesus . And the Same John 1 says that by the Word was everything made and without Him there was nothing made that was made. That means God was using the Word Jesus to create everything and that means the consent of the Word Jesus , which is also God according to John 1:1 was needed in the creation process. If so, who was God now speaking to that ' 'Let us make man in our own image and likeness? ' ' If not Jesus. Now that said, if you believe in the Word in John 4:24 ' 'God is a spirit: and they that worship Him must Worship Him in truth and in Spirit ' ', then there is no reason for you now not to know that God is Jesus and God is the Spirit. The reason why He is called the HolySpirit is because there can be evil spirit but His own Spirit is Holy. I pray that God explains it to you Himself the Same way He did to me so that no indoctrination will be a veil on your face. Amen!!!

For this is the love of God: This is the kind of love that God desire of us our entire day-by-day life must be molded by the commandments of God 2 John 1:6. That we keep his commandments: The commandments of God as delineated in Exodus 20:3-17 must be the defining standard of our lives and we must adhere totally to it, for it is the only litmus test of determining whether we are Christians or not. According to James 2:10, if we are err in any of it, then we are guilty of all. A lawyer of the Pharisees extraction once ask Christ a tempting question Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus answered him by summarizing the content of the two tables of stones that Moses collected from God thus: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. He when further to add that And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Matthew 22:35-39. The phrase, the second is like unto it signifies that Exodus 20:3-11 which spells our relationship with God cannot be complete without Exodus 20:12-17 which spells our relationship with our neighbour. We cannot claim to love God if we don t love our brother whom we are seeing 1 John 4:20-21.

Well to me i think Jesus had to go through Samaria firstly because,in the kingdom of God and life in general, nothing happens by chance.his going to Samaria was because there was a divine accomplishment Secondly women were looked upon as second class citizen so in his divine assignment women were also included and were to relate with him just as any other person Furthermore, even though his initial assignment was for the lost sheep of israel,he turned to the whole world when the lost sheep of Israel rejected him.now Samaria being one of those countries that the Jews were prohibited to relate with.his going through it and talking with a woman from there speaks of his universal assignment to save the whole world

I understand that we must come boldly before the throne of grace never with a sense of condemnation but trusting that the finished work of Jesus Christ is sufficient. It paid all our sin debt and receiving, acknowledging and rejoicing in that gift we can come in Christ as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus 1 John 4:17 to partake of His body and blood. Our worthiness to take it lies in His redemptive sacrifice which we are remembering. We are never the issue. He is, His finished work is. Look to ourselves and we are condemned. Look to Jesus and we are justified by faith in His finished work.
  • John on John 4:18 - 10 years ago
When she states she has no husband this means that the soul woman is not joined with spirit so if she claims no husband then she must be under the bondage of the physical senses. The 5 husbands refer to the 5 senses. If you are not married to the Spirit then your are married to the senses. Jesus representing the Christ or spirit is saying that Christ or spirit is not her husband. He is not referring to himself personally.

God is a Spirit. This is the Father by Himself. You cannot see Him but He can manifest Himself into what ever He wants. He did manifest Himself in the form of a Human in Jesus Christ our Lord. Yet He is small enough We can receive Him as a gift in baptism. His Spirit replaces the tables of Stone the 10 Commandments which is Gods total Righteousness and His Eternal Law is written in our hearts and minds. Upon obedience to the gospel of Jesus and Repentance, we receive three of the greatest gifts known to all of Mankind. 1 the remission of sin 2 the gift of the Holy Spirit and 3 we are added to His congregation of believers. Heb.10

God is love. When God dwells in us his love is manifested in our lives. In first John 4:7-8 it says, love is of God and every one that loveth is born of God. He that loveth not knoweth not God for God is love. Again it says in 1 John 5:2 -3 by this we know me love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his comandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grevious. In Romans 5:5 it says, and hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the holy Ghost which is given in us. It is the love of God in the heart of the true believer that keeps him in the narrow path, the harder way the Word, Christ. It is the love of God in the heart of the believer that keeps him in the doctrine of Christ and therefore in God for it says in 1John 1:9 whoso transgresseth and and abides not in the doctrine of Christ hath no God. Love hopeth all things, believeth all things in other words it abounds in the faith of Jesus endures all things in other words it abides in the word in sword nakedness, peril and famine etc love rejoice in the truth which is the word of God . In other words the person dwelling in love is perfect in all the divine virtues of Christ 2 Peter 2 . The living love of of Jesus Christ in his bride is a living evidence of his purchase and evidence that his quickening power has raised him from deadness in sin and trespasses and now his life is pulsating through him.

I totally agree with the commentaries on Jhn 4:24. The thing here is that, it is the Lord Himself The Son, who knows The Father, has seen The Father, is sent of The Father and is one with The Father who is commanding or giving us instructions as to the acceptable way in which God is to be worshiped. All that is required of us is total obedience to His revealed will in order for us to be 'true worshipers '.If we are true worshipers then that places us in His presence. And if in His presence then our goal is not a too distant reality. We then should ask guide God for the fortifying providence of His Holy Spirit so that He finds us daily to be worthy of worshiping Him in His presence.

He is 100 God and 100 Man. 1 Timothy 3:16 God was manifest in the flesh in the body of Christ the human body, with bones, with blood , with flesh meaning VISIBLE. As people,we are so much interested in eating food and we care less about the work of God.If we can put the work of God first then the food of the body,we would benefit of the blessings of Heaven.I have the food to eat says Jesus. We need to know that we have very little time on this earth for to do the work of God.I wish each of us knew how many days you have on this earth,it would help us to do the works of God.

God is a spirit...... God a spirit. A spirit is a form that is in the true image and likeness of God. This is what was created in the 1st account of creation in Genesis chapter 1.

Charity means love that is why it is the greatest one out of all three. 1 John 4:7-8 reads Beloved, let us love one another for love is from God and whoever loves has been born of God and know God. Anyone who does not love does not know God because God is love.....So to love is to know God, and to know God is everything. so charity is love.

Interesting that Jesus MUST go to Sychar. Jews had no dealings with Samaritians. But to be sitting and talking to a Woman of Samaria? His disciples know better than to question, even Peter. This is another example of Jesus using a woman to bring the message of salvation. Though they reminded her, they found her message to be true, she would get no credit for it. But she had already been used by Jesus. Jesus uses whom He pleases. The ground is level around the Cross.

Hello RNM: Read what he stated, "By keeping His commandments, entitles our entry into 65279 the gates of heaven ". Someone reading this could get the wrong idea that this is all it takes. Where is it written that obtaining clarification is a falsehood or that it is deceiving people? What falsehoods have I spoken? Where have I deceived anyone? 1 John 4: 2 and 3 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come and even now already is it in the world ". I have always maintained that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. I have always maintained that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3: 16. So tell me how does this make me a false prophet?

Hello Ron No he did not have a new program. Paul had already been converted to Christianity before going into Arabia. Then he traveled back to Damascus from Arabia. It is not known how long he stayed there or what he actually studied. But whatever he studied did not change his faith believing in Jesus Christ and Acts 2 38. In the end, Paul still after his journey to Arabia still taught the oneness to many. Remember the Ephesians, whom Paul wrote his epistle to, was saved Christians. They were saints in Jesus Christ. He taught Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone of our faith, Ephesians 2 20 thru 22. Remember the Roman Church was saved people. If you read Romans 1 1 Paul starts the Book with Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ called to be an apostle.

Part 8 of 10 Now look at what Jesus says next. He uses singular words such as Name. There is no s on it meaning there is one name to recognize. Then he uses the word and which is a conjunction tying all three of this together saying that there is one name in which to be baptized in. Now the question you have to ask yourselves is what is the name? Jesus said to baptize in the name, so what is the name? Jesus gave the name. He stated his name and his Father s name in John 5 43 I am come in my Father s name, and ye receive me not .. Then he gave the name of the Holy Ghost in John 14 26, But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name So on the day of Pentecost Peter clarified by reminding the people that the name in which you should be baptized is in the Lord Jesus Christ name.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on John 4 - 10 years ago
Part 10 of 10 How does a person know whether or not they truly have the Holy Ghost? They have to speak with other tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance. The Holy Ghost is God s gift. He can give it anyway he wants before the baptism or after the baptism, but he will not deviate from the formula of how to recognize the Holy Ghost when it comes into a person s life. The formula was given and prophesied in Isaiah 28 11 and Joel 2 29. Then God confirmed it himself when he gave the Holy Ghost on the Day of Pentecost, because they all spake with other tongues as the spirit of God gave them utterance. Then Peter clarified it further when he went to Cornelius house and stated that they all spake as Peter and the others spake in other tongues which is the sign of the true Holy Ghost.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on John 4 - 10 years ago
Part 9 of 10 Then you have the final component of the salvation plan. The filling of the Holy Ghost, which only God himself can give. No man, woman, or child can give it to you. You can tarry with someone all day long. You can pray all day long. God looks at the heart and when he knows that you have truly repented he will give you his gift. Remember God cannot lie, Hebrews 6 18. So you have to ask yourselves this question, when the preacher is baptizing you and he says to you that he will baptize you in the Holy Ghost what is he doing? He just lied to you. He cannot give you God s gift. The reason no man can give you the gift of the Holy Ghost is because man is not fair and he only looks at the outward appearance, whereas God looks at the heart. This is a gift only God can give.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on John 4 - 10 years ago
Part 7 of 10 When Jesus stated in Matthew 28 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost . He said, Peter clarified it, and the Apostles, including Peter, carried it out. Now let s break this down. First he stated all nations . This means everyone, every human being, on the planet. Peter clarifies this by saying For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call .
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on John 4 - 10 years ago
Part 6 of 10 Then Peter tells a person to get baptized. This means to be submerged in water. If I can say it like this, I would rather have 1001 baptisms and be found to have had the correct one and make it into heaven, than to have 1000 and be told that I do not have it right when I meet God. Baptism is a part of the salvation plan. There is no getting around this. The correct baptism is needed. When Jesus stated a person must be born again of water and of spirit, this is the water he was talking about. The Apostles carried out this plan of salvation. It is recorded in the Word of God in which we all read, so why is it difficult to accept that this is so? In the Book of Acts there are many examples of the baptism.
