And Jesse, just to add a portion of Scripture that I often refer to (& to which bro. Adam has recently & correctly highlighted in another comment), is 1 John 4:1-3:

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."

To affirm & confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, is NOT simply a belief that there was an historical Jesus on Earth Who went about doing good & speaking the Words of God - even the devils know that fact (an abundance of references exist showing Jesus dealing with them). But to confess that this Jesus had a pre-existence (to which we now know that He was vitally & inseparably connected to the Godhead from Eternity to Eternity, known as the Word of God ( John 1:1 & Revelation 19:13)), has "in due time" (God's appointed time) appeared to mankind from God to be given flesh & be called the Son of God & to lay down His Life for sinners.

Any departure from this great Truth was the overwhelming burden on the Apostle John's heart as he had the constant battle before him to warn & protect the children of God from the intrusions of Gnosticism into the Church. And particularly an offshoot of it (Docetism) which taught "that the incarnation was incredible (unbelievable, false), because Deity cannot unite itself with anything material, such as a body". How sad that Christians even today are gripped with that false belief & proclaiming that God, by sending out His Word, could not have assumed a body of flesh (the incarnation). John tells us that the spirit of antichrist was alive & well then as we even see it today.

Respectfully, that is your opinion, and not what the scripture declares. You have chosen to interpret the Bible a certain way and that is your opinion. Most Christians don't read the Bible in the way you describe and disagree with you. But what really matters is what God says the truth is. There's been some fake news circulating around lately where some are claiming Jesus isn't God, but a few Bible scriptures debunk that lie very quickly.

Here's what the scripture declares: John 10:30. John 1:1. 1 John 5:7-8.

The heresy of claiming Jesus didn't become man and wasn't who he said he was even occurred back in Jesus' times and is even in the Bible! 1 John 4:2; 2 John 7. It literally calls these people spreading the lies the antichrist.

So, the Bible clearly says that Jesus is God and was fully man. Since it says that, the phrase Jesus was fully God and fully man sounds true. Just because the phrase in that word order doesn't appear in the Bible doesn't mean it's not 100% true. The Bible also doesn't use the word restroom anywhere, but that doesn't mean people never had to use a bathroom or toilet.

Since it clearly says in the Bible it's true, it seems like an unusual argument to make against it being true. It doesn't seem like such an argument would come without scripture evidence or without serious prayer asking God if this is true or not, before spreading such information around. The Bible calling someone an antichrist is not a joke- that is a serious offense to mislead others and try to stir up doubt in the body of Christ. So, what is your evidence of this and have you first prayed to God and asked for confirmation if this idea contrary to scripture is "true"?

Jesus was never "fully God & fully man" (that term is not found in scripture)

The man Christ Jesus is called the Christ, because he was annointed with the holy Spirit of his Father. This is the definition of the word; Christ - the annointed one.

When was he annointed? :

Luke 3:22

And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

This is when the fulness of the Godhead (God the Father who is the Holy Spirit - John 4:24/ Leviticus 11:44) began to dwell in the body of His Son ( Colossians 2:9).

Not at His birth.

Yes, Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit (God the Father)-( Matthew 1:18) in the womb of a virgin.

But the Holy Spirit (God) did not begin to dwell in His Son until His baptism by John in the Jordan.. and only then did Jesus begin His 3.5 year ministry of miracles signs and wonders.

As per your claim that the apostles believed in a "trinity" of gods, that is heresy. Every Jew (including Jesus) was taught from an early age on that there is only one God in reciting the Shema ( Deut. 6:4) Jesus quoted it in Mark 12:29:

This first scripture clearly warns that Satan will have power to deceive human beings with false signs, even tales of alien creatures, spaceships, mermaids, monsters, vampires, you name it. Cable and streaming tv are full of it.

OnlytruthintheworldKJV, I do not understand the latter part of your post maybe that's me. My post was on the 7-year rapture theory using the last week of the 70th-week prophecy to create 7 years. My meaning was no part of that prophecy should be combined with Revelation. There is a lot that was fulfilled during those 70 weeks. More than can be covered in a small post. As far as the temple I have not found any scriptures that say there will be another before Jesus sets his kingdom upon the earth but there could be. If you read ( Revelation 21:22) The holy city, New Jerusalem there is no temple.

Jesus was sent only for the lost sheep of Israel and Jesus commanded his disciple to only go to the lost sheep and not to go unto the Gentiles.

Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Matthew 10:5-7 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

They did not until Peters dream and Jesus appeared to Paul, around the same time Stephen was killed. That ended the 70th-week. If you read ( Matthew 23:31-38) it shows who made it desolate and the temple was destroyed 30+ years later in their generation, by the people of the prince, Rome. When Jesus was talking to the woman at the well he talks about this happening. ( John 4:21-24).

THERE ARE TWO JUDGMENTS

May the Spirit grace us with His truth an understanding.

If there are not two judgments, then how are the saints going to judge the world; because all have to be judged.

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come (during a persons physical lifetime) that JUDGMEMT must begin at the house of God ( Hebrews 3:6): an if it first begin at us, what shall be the end of them that obey not the gospel of God.

1 Corinthians 11:31-32 For if we would judge ourselves (by the word of God), we should not be judged.

(vs 32) But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord (as children), that we should not be condemned with the world.

1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect (love your enemy), that we may have boldness in the day of judgment (in our lifetime), because as he is (he loves his enemies), so are we in this world.

Jude 1:15 To execute judgement on all, and to convince all (some are convinced in their lifetime some are not)....

2 Thessalonians 1:4-5 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and TRIBULATIONS that you endure:

(vs 5) Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, which you also suffer:

1 Timothy 5:24 Some men's sins are open before hand, going before to judgment; and some men they (judgments) follow after.

There are many more scriptures that confirm two judgments if you look for them; most don't look but are happy to follow the traditions of man.

When Jesus came, He came for only the lost sheep of Israel to fulfill the first covenant and confirm the new covenant. Matthew 15:24.Jesus was fulfilling the old covenant so they obeyed the Sabbath. The Sabbath is the seventh day and man does not have the authority to change it. If we worship on a Sunday we still can not call it the Sabbath. Some call it the Lords Day for resurrection day. We are to worship in Spirit John 4:24, any day of the week or all. The Sabbath is also in the law.

Rom. 14:4-6 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. 5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth, not and giveth God.

The division started with Constantine's Sunday law and the penalties came down at Laodicea. The two reasons I am aware of, the Roman and Greek pagan religion festivals and worship were on Sunday and they used these days to introduce Christian holidays. The other, many Christians were meeting on the Sabbath along with the Jews and they did not want them to.

Gal.3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

If said the commandments of God is the Law, including the 10, if we try to be justified by them we are "a debtor to do the whole law". We are to be obedient in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. May God bless, Ron

Salvation (part 2)

In the early Church, the requirement for salvation was the presence of God's Spirit dwelling within a person. Paul instructed, in Romans 8:9, "Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, this one is not of Him." In Romans 8:14, he wrote, "For as many as are being led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God."

And again, in Romans 8:16, he instructs that "The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God." Also, in 2 Corinthians 13:5, Paul challenged the church at Corinth: "Examine yourselves, if you are in the faith; prove your own selves, or do you not know your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you, except you are reprobates?"

John, writing in 1 John 3:24 supported this same understanding: "And in this we know that He abides in us, from the Spirit whom He has given to us."

He repeats this same truth, although worded somewhat differently, in 1 John 4:13, "In this we know that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit."

From the preceding scriptures, we see that salvation happens only when God's Spirit enters and remains in a person's spirit, thereby causing spiritual birth. Nothing in the Bible teaches that salvation is accomplished by the repetition of the Sinner's Prayer or through the performance of any other kind of human formula.

In addition to teaching that God is the sole source of salvation, the Bible also teaches that every saved person is kept by the power of God. Peter writes, in 1 Peter 1:5, that believers are, "The ones who are being kept in the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

Paul writes on the same subject, in Galatians 5:17, "For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are opposing to one another; in order that you should not do what you want."

No, you cannot lose your salvation, here is why:

1. We are washed from our sins by the blood of Christ. Rev. 1:5

2. We are justified or acquitted from all guilt. Rom. 5:1; Tit 3-7

3. We receive the forgiveness of all sins. Col 1:14; 2:13

4. We are redeemed or purchased by God through the blood of

Christ. I Pet. 1:18; Heb. 9:12

5. We are born again spiritually into God's family. John 1:12; 3:3-5;

Gal 3:26; I John 5:1

6. Our sins are not imputed unto us. Romans 4:8 Romans 5:13 7. We are given eternal life and shall never perish. John 10:28; I

8. We are reconciled or restored to a right relationship with God. II

Cor. 5:18; Col 1:21

9. We are made the righteousness of God. II Cor. 5:21

10. We receive the Holy Spirit. I Cor. 6:19; I John 4:13

I have seen the pictures that have returned from Mars. what a difference between our galaxy and the one we see around Mars! A difference in the positioning of the stars, and the night sky . How thankful I am, that God placed the earth where He did and that we are not struggling to survive on this destitute place! If I have come away with anything, it is how thankful we should be for what He has given us, and how we should respect the earth and the life in it! Hi Donna, I would have only one question, is the word of God being taught? we went through this exact situation a number of years ago in our church, some left on so called principle but most stayed, at the end of the day we survived.

I'm fully aware of what it says in 1 Corinthians, but, as in Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." this would be more of my view of what the word church really means as opposed to the physical building used for worship. I don't read any version of the bible other than KJV, but as per others that are much more learned than myself, the KJV is more accurate. Like in our church, I'm sure the fellowship in your church would be like family, Just a question, would bible study as a group work. Throughout the bible you find that there are a number of women who influenced their fellow man proclaiming Jesus ministry, I've listed just a few.

HI Michael. Lets pick up from verse 10. Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? Verse 11. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, we speak what we do know, and testify that what we have seen; and you receive not our witness. Verse 12: If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? Did you notice in verse 10 Jesus states: " Art thou a master in Israel and knowest not these things? " ( Jesus miracles, his conduct, and his mission was consistent with the old testament scripture.)

John the baptist elaborates on it as well in the same chapter verses 31-33.

He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. Now it's Jesus who speak what he has seen and heard, Those who receive through the power of the Holyspirit testify of this truth. John 16:12-13. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. John 4:23. Here Jesus is answering the woman of Samaria giving a lesson on its not where you worship its on how to worship, ""Through the power of the holyspirit"" John 16:14-15. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

The Greek word (trophe) applies to 'food or nourishment', so I don't see that it was only meat that the disciples went to purchase. It could have been a combination of meat & vegetables, or even that which was already prepared. And there is nothing in the New Testament to suggest that Jesus was a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian. I believe that He enjoyed all food, any food that He was able to eat, but in Truth, His "meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work." ( John 4:34), implying the much lower priority He placed on food & having a full stomach.

The same Greek word, troph, is used 15 times in the KJV: 13 times the King James translators used the word "meat" and 2 times the word "food" in Act 14:17 and Jas 2:15.

Yes, Jesus ate meat, because He celebrated Passover on many occasions with His disciples, which involves killing and eating the Passover lamb.

Kjv mentions meat while other translations mention food. Which is correct? Did our Lord eat meat?

When you say we are told not to change the bible, I'm happy that we agree on something, when you talk of the many different bible versions, I'm also aware that there is, but chose to only read the KJV, I'm sure they're meant to be more relevant to today's english but as in 2 Corinthians 11:12-15 Satan can transform himself into an angel of light and deceive many, just by changing a few words. Fornication is most certainly a terrible sin throughout society today and also in biblical times, and is mentioned 35 times in the KJV but when you look at Romans 1:20-32 and Galations 5:14-26 it is only one of many sins of the flesh. "Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents," to name just a few. John 8:3-11 Jesus forgive a woman caught in adultery, John 4:6-43 the Samaritan woman at the well living in fornication was one of the first women evangelist. Luke 18:10-14 "The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican." he was not justified, Luke 23:43 the first person Jesus took to paradise was a thief on the cross. Sin in whatever form is evil in God's eyes, but I'm sure your well aware of that. Just as God judged the people in Sodom and Gomorrah and in Noah's day, I try (sometimes I fail) to let God judge the transgressors of today, and focus on the narrow road to the cross for my Salvation. Because as in Luke 17:32 "Remember Lot's wife." we don't want to turn into that pillar of salt.

Some of my favorite scripture to help me keep things in perspective is the Beatitudes and sermon on the mount, and also Luke 10:27-37 the story of the good Samaritan.

The scripture identify this body we live in as a tent, this body goes back to ground in which it came, our spirit goes to be with the Lord is the way I understand it. Hi Danae, we read here the final words of the risen Jesus speaking to John, concluding with this great invitation. This invitation is to all people, those from Jesus' day ( John 4:9-15): "living water' = "water of life" to all people since that time. And this invitation has always been open to all, all of us who are sinners, that we are to come to Him, to the foot of the Cross, whereby we may find that shed blood to cleanse us from all sin & that "living water" that brings refreshment to our parched & spiritually thirsty hearts. His teaching to the Samaritan woman was that of 'well water' (physical water) that at best can only satisfy us physically & in the short term. But His Water (the spiritual water) is not from a 'well dug into the ground', but from the 'well' deep within the believer continually 'bubbling over & over', bringing deep satisfaction, quenching our thirst & giving assurance of our faith & of everlasting life.

But "why does God give us a choice since He is Sovereign?" Man has always had the power to choose, usually unwisely (I think of the first bad choice made by Adam & Eve). But when it comes to receiving salvation, even though God already knows our response to the Gospel & His Spirit's call (tug) on our hearts, the invitation is always there, because a response is required. If the Gospel is to be preached for a sinner to be saved, that sinner must first sense the Spirit's conviction of that sin & that either produces true repentance or a disregard to it. If that person is appointed to eternal life (according to God's foreknowledge of that person), that conviction in him, must produce something, or else he is merely a machine (robot). We are humans that involuntarily respond to all kinds of situations; & to sin's conviction, we cry out to God for forgiveness & when God sees that torn, wretched soul seeking its hope only in Christ, salvation is granted & permanent. Yes, God is sovereign but He requires our response to His invitation ( Rev 22:17).

Bahss, what other 'books' are you thinking of referring to, to learn more of God? Have you read any of those books, such as the Quran, Bhagavad Gita, Tripitaka, Adi Granth, etc.? Or are you thinking of the Deuterocanonical Books (or the Apocrypha)?

Of the former group of books I mentioned, even though God is mentioned, also man's shortcomings, a means of salvation, & a future existence, I wonder what you would gain from them given that in each one of the doctrines mentioned, the view of Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism & Sikhism is not only different from the Judeo-Christian teaching & understanding, but also in opposition to it. If you could first study those religions, how they were formed, their teachers/teaching, & the end of their faith, you might just at that point discover how far removed they are from biblical teaching.

In respect to the Apocrypha, again they were generally written in those silent years of the Bible & into the period after Christ. And these were not included in the Canon of Scripture because of their doubtful authorship, origins, declared 'truths' or even verses that are in opposition to accepted Writ. What we have in the Bible (NT) are from authors that are known & have been in direct contact with the Lord Jesus & given that bases, any other Scripture, whether from the Apocrypha or from other religions, must be approached cautiously or even totally rejected, lest our own understanding of God's Word is polluted with error. Not everyone has that ability to identify errors - he must know the Bible very well first. I do see value in the Apocrypha but one would never see me refer to them to support or exegete what is given to us in the Bible.

And yes, God did choose Israel to be the recipients of His Word & Law, to the exclusion of all other tribes & peoples in the world. What we have now is indeed God's Word & that Word was brought into the World in Jesus, Who then taught His disciples, who would teach others also, including us today.
