Verse 18-even though Eve was created as a helper that did not mean that she was inferior. She would work together with Adam to accomplish Jehovah God's purpose for the earth and mankind.

I was wondering if. The letter l has any biblical meaning. When I look at the words world and word there is only one difference and that is the letter l. I know there is a reason for everything and just wondering. Any comments?

My answers to your questions, as given:

1. There are no apostles today, only the twelve in Jesus' day. In 1 Corinthians 12:28, Paul lists the appointments & functions in the Church. The mention of "first apostles", indicates that upon the teaching of Christ which the apostles faithfully preached, the Church is established: Jesus as the "chief cornerstone" & then comes then apostles with their teaching. Those that claim to be apostles today might be referring to their call & duties in the Church, but cannot claim biblical support for such a title as they don't meet its criteria.

2. Women do not have biblical warrant for appointment to the positions you mentioned in the Church. This is something that some Churches do for their own reasons, but not according to God's Plan.

3. There are some who claim descendancy to the Tribe of Levi, specifically to Aaron. And if so, they are given the privilege, in the synagogue, to read from the Torah. They serve the priests (Kohanim), as they did in the old days. Many have made claim to this Tribe, some false, others apparently true according to DNA testing. Those particularly who are of the Ashkenazim & Sephardim people, have shown to have a very high probability to having such connection.

A few weeks ago I had shared my understanding of this Scripture ( Exodus 4:24) to someone else, so I replicate that answer to you:

"Offending God with your thoughts" is quite possibly not sin, unless you dwell on them, leading to committing sin whether in the mind or body. We all have spurious thoughts come to us, & sometimes downright disturbing. It's how we deal with them that matters: do we determine to terminate those thoughts or choose to fuel them or even act upon them?

We can run to the Lord in prayer & commit our folly to Him; or turn to the Word & allow the Spirit to minister God's Message & Words of healing to our minds; or even do as the Apostle Paul suggests in Philippians 4:8,9, to set our minds (our thoughts) on things that are honest, just, pure, etc. Why do this? We are effectively covering over & ridding nasty, disturbing thoughts with thoughts that bring on peace, stability & purity to one's heart - i.e. getting our minds back onto God's track & dwelling on things that will lift up our hearts towards God rather than weigh them down to our hurt.

"as it is fit in the Lord". Your understanding of this word "fit" seems to be, once again, linked to sexual misbehaviour/deviation. Whereas, "fit in the Lord" has nothing to do with sex, the instruction there is: 'wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is the proper thing to do, according to God's Desire & Plan for marital order & harmony'. This is the position of the wife to the husband & the attitude that she should adopt. And lest husbands see this instruction as a directive to his wife to 'worship him in everything', husbands should also note the next verse: "husbands love your wives & be not bitter against them". When the husband truly loves his wife, esteeming her, supporting her & giving of himself to her completely, he can then expect that position of loving submission from her. Now if you see some sexual deviation, whether from the wife or husband, I really don't know how you can possibly arrive at that. You recently did mention a Pastor you sat under many years ago - I wonder whether he or another has drilled this type of biblical mangling into you (& others) so that you can only see sexual perversion in so many biblical situations. Clearly, there are many warnings given in the Scriptures - but please, let's not force Scriptures to mean something they're not intended to do.

Can you supply supporting Scriptures to show that a husband & wife should be avoiding forms of sexual behaviour? Your quoting of Jude 7 is correct regarding 'fornication', but to then apply that example to husbands & wives is not only a 'long stretch', but quite inaccurate, as Adam & Richard have well explained. I can admit to the possibility of rape within marriage, when force is used for sexual gratification, but a husband & wife are "no longer two, but one flesh" ( Matthew 19:5,6). As a single loving unit, they give themselves over to each other in every respect, & in the sexual realm, are also free to express themselves for the bonding & happiness of each other.

It is verses such as 24 that causes the unsaved to question the fairness of God.. Moses was doing what God had commanded yet God was going to kill him . I must admit it has me scratching my head .

Please tell the people to stop cremating People. This is a violation of God's Children. True believers are given power to raise the dead People have come to life in morgues. People Ave come back out of deep comas. Stop embalming people and bury them whole and wrap them in spices and leave them whole. I'm sorry I don't know a particular scripture but when I am troubled. or stressed, I go directly in prayer (talk)to my heavenly Father and Jesus. When I want reassurance I read His holy Word and He shows up there. I have been studying, taking Notes, (not just reading) the books of the Bible. Our Father is Real to me and I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and Redeemer. I have a personal relationship with Him. I'm in need of learning to pray better but that does Not stop me from talking to Jesus, off and on, all day. I want Him to know me personally, where as when I get to Heaven I won't feel like a stranger to Him. If I sound like I have it all together, don't be misled, I have my struggles in this life Every day. I only know that Jesus is real to me and I love Jesus and I can hardly wait to meet Him and sit at His feet. I find the Bible to be more interesting than TV now. I have studied so hard and so much I find it difficult to turn the light out and read for half the night. (Retired finally) I also enjoy listening to Chuck Missler on YouTube; he learned to love scriptures at 16 and is a dynamite teacher. Chuck passed a few years back but I enjoy listening to his knowledge of Old and New Testament. It is hard to keep up for he speaks fast; but, I just hit rewind. Thank you all so much. While reading your replies I broke down and began thanking God for an answer I had been seeking. For I was beginning to feel lost and unwanted. I found this site by accident WHILE searching for answers after reading my Bible. I understand Chris's comment just fine and agree. I think maybe you assumed something else.

They commit adultery by cheating on each other by sleeping with other partners. Obviously a married couple isn't sinning by being only with each other. Fornication means unmarried people are having relations.

Helen, may the Spirit grace you with HIS wisdom and His understanding. Keep studying God's word, you may think you can't remember everything; and if called upon you are concerned you would fall short of the task. You want fall short of the task because God's word says:

Matthew 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of the Father which speaketh in you.

Our first objective is to agree with the Spirit. WE ARE THE POT AND HE IS THE POTTER.

Sometimes the POT was created just to be seen, your actions more often speak louder than your words.

However the POTTER uses us is at his discretion not ours, but he will provide all you need to fulfil his desires.

Jesus told his disciples he was sent to be a servant, isn't it wonderful that Jesus does all things or us.

Thank you for your kindness and response. I have great fear of offending God with my own thoughts . I have many questions about why i feel differently about the scriptures that stir my fear of my declaration to worship only God. and have no other equal to or above my Heavenly Father. My views about the idols, crosses and statues of Jesus being that are man made. This is a tough subject . A fixed point of view that no one else seems to think is relevant to the commandment against idols . But thank you for your help.

Where have you read "angels don't have wings" in the Holy Bible?

As is Revelation 8:13, and Revelation 14:6, an angel was beheld "flying through the midst of Heaven". As far as we know something needs wings to fly. I believe God can make angels however He wants.

As I know angels can be perceived as mere humans. So maybe saying not "all" angels have wings would be more accurate. As I would not go as far as to say "angels don't have wings" as neither you nor I could say we truly have a factual answer for that.

It helps to understand what the mark of the beast is. As I have said before, we need to name the sin in Eden for that sin came from Satan and those who commit that sin have the mark of the beast. I name the sin in Eden as being oral and anal sex. To put it simply, oral and anal sex is the mark of the beast. It marks Satan's people like a branding iron marks rancher's cattle.

Leave "what if" to God, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10

Now how I am able to present you that verse, is not because I remember it by book, chapter and verse, but instead, by remembering the subject of his ordaining our walk in good works, context and content. From there I use the search/concordance to focus on words I know are in the verse, to find exactly what God has said.

The Lord Jesus quoted some scripture, but unlike the scribes and Parisees, he demonstrated the grace and heart of God. He spoke as the person who cared for them by helping them understand, because God cared for them. If the best you can do is remember what God has said, it is far far more important to other people than where he said it, which they can look up for themselves, if need be that important to them. Seeing for themselves is what God want's from them anyway.

As a Christian you are in the fight, the armor is defensive, to keep you safe from being disabled, so don't take on an anxious/fearful position of not being good enough to represent our God. Keep growing in his grace.

O, what great Scriptures you've shared: John 17:5, Isaiah 9:6, Revelation 1:8.

What does one have to do to those portions to make it mean anything different than expressed so clearly here? How can Jesus dare say that He enjoyed God's Glory in Himself even before His Incarnation & indeed, before the creation of the worlds?

I think, many just have to make Him out to be a liar, as any normal reading of those Scriptures, shed great Light on a wonderful, glorious Truth. The fact that our salvation is real & secure is dependent on God coming in the flesh, by His Word - any other sacrifice would not cut it - we would still be in our sins, we would still need a yearly offering, & we would be in a desperate mental & spiritual state not knowing if we'll make it to Heaven. The fact that God has done it & given of Himself, gives us great joy & peace, & confidence in the Lord. It's all of Him - nothing of us. Praise be to Him alone.

This very important command is found in so many verses in the New Testament as it puts into action the Love that God has shown to us in Christ. If that Love was so powerful & engaging to us, the change effected in us, must also become practical to others. The question then is, 'How much do we love ourselves?' And it doesn't speak of us being vain, admiring ourselves in the mirror & entertaining useless thoughts of grandeur & of great worth to others. Rather, it reminds us that what we go through every day, is to ensure our survival on Earth & trying to foster happiness in our lives to overcome heartache & despair.

Do we feed & clothe ourselves? Do we engage in exercises of the body & mind to keep us healthy? Do we put some money away for our future & for our children? Do we have roofs over our head & appliances to help us in the home? And many other things that you might think of that apply to your well-being. In like manner, the love & care we give to ourselves & loved ones, must also produce from that same heart, both a sympathy & an empathy for those who may not be as fortunate as us, whether those immediately around us or in our cities (our neighbour) or in other countries, where hunger, disease, poor sanitary conditions, etc. are rife. Many would just say 'Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?' ( James 2:16), hoping that someone else will see to their needs. But the Love of Christ constrains us: that if see someone in need (especially a real need from no fault of their own), then it should not only be our hearts, tears & prayers that go out for them, but some real practical help that will make their lives a little better.

Some engage in full-time service to meet others' needs - I can't think of a better profession than this, as is to share the Gospel of Christ so that their empty, sinful hearts may also be healed & restored. This is true love shown to others.
