Sorry for the late reply. I was away and just saw the questions you sent. I'll respond to the 2 verses you sent. First of all, Hebrews 10:26. This is one of the verses that is used by those who believe salvation can be lost. But I do not see anything there that tells me salvation can be lost. In all the verses in Hebrews chapter 10, beginning from verse 1, the writer, whoever that might be, is speaking to Hebrew people. He is showing them the superiority of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ over the sacrificial system of Judaism.

After the writer has presented his case that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is far superior than their Jewish way of sacrificing, In Hebrews 10:26, the writer is telling these Hebrew people that if they turn away and go back to into Judaism, they are not going to find any sacrifice there that is going to take care of their sin problem if they reject Christ and His sacrifice. (There is no other sacrifice for sin).

A person who has "received the knowledge of the truth" does not mean that person is saved. Hebrews 6:4 also speaks about an "enlightened" person. People also use this verse to prove you can lose your salvation. But again, an enlightened person does not mean a saved person. A person can be enlightened to the truth, they can receive the knowledge of the truth, but if that person does not surrender their life to Jesus Christ, that knowledge and enlightenment means nothing.

These people were being enlightened to the truth about Christ. They received the knowledge. But instead of surrendering to Christ, they were turning away and going back into Judaism. It was much easier for them to do that than to surrender their life to Christ. Surrendering to Christ meant severe persecution, so they were turning away. No salvation there to be lost because they turned away without surrendering to Christ.

I'm running out of space. I'll respond to the other verse you mention ( Philippians 2:12) and your other questions in a second post.

GiGi, sounds like you are describing people before they are saved, maybe they were never saved just say the are.

Back in 1 Thess. 4 is your answer. Those who've FALLEN ASLEEP, are deceased believers in Jesus. They received Him as Savior while they were alive; and testified that they had done so.

When Jesus comes to get all his Saints; those asleep rise up First to meet Jesus in the Clouds.

Next, all those believers who are alive, are raised to meet Jesus in the clouds.

Our bodies have been changed and Jesus takes us to Heaven immediately. There will be no more sorrow or pain.

It's going to be fast. That's why we must be ready now.

I agree that believers are to endeavor to live godly lives, saying no to sin, and yes to wat is good and right according to what as been revealed in God's moral law. Jesus said that those who truly love Him will obey His commandments (written in the Law given to Moses). He summed these up by saying Loving God with all of our hearts, soul, mind, and body and loving our neighbor as ourselves. Those who claim to be in Christ and continue to live sinful, worldly lives sow that they do not love Jesus. They may say it is o.k. because they are under grace not Law. But Scripture plainly says:

"For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness (sin) and worldly lusts (worldly desires), we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every deed (sin) and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works."

Titus:11-14

Many churches today do not exhort their members to stop sinning (that blaspheme the Word of God Titus 2:5) instead live obedient lives (that glorify God). Sin is downplayed so much in this generation that most people do not think it is as deadly as it is in all forms. We should want to do what is of life, not what is of death, because God has sown us mercy and given us grace in Jesus Christ.

You are not born again, until you depart this body of flesh, up until departing this body of flesh ,you are a WOMAN IN TRAVAIL, waiting to be DELIVERED.

You can have KNOWLEDGE of being born again, but it doesn't happen, until we are relieved of this flesh and blood body.

Paul 's words: "I die daily." May mean many things. It may refer to the fact that we sin daily, and sin is always deadly. Therefore, we repent daily and confess to God that we need forgiveness. Then we rise daily, having been restored to life.

It can mean that daily we are crucified with Christ, and daily we rise to life inn Christ. It could mean that daily we crucify the sinful nature and allow the life of Christ to reign in our life.

I, too, believe it is a daily commitment to die to sin and live for Christ. This allows to walk by the Spirit of God and not by the fleshly, sinful nature. Whatever you feed, grows stronger, as some say.

Hello, willful sin is a conscious decision to do something you know is wrong. For example: tell a lie, steal something from another person, assault another person, curse at another person, etc. People can also sin in ways we are not aware of: doing what is right from mixed motives (to obey God out of love and to impress others wit our good works at the same time) or harboring unloving feelings for others such as: anger, jealousy, coveting, unforgiveness. There are other examples. In the one instance: we know what we ought to do, and don't do it, or know what we should not do and do it.

In the other, we are unaware that what we are doing or saying or thinking or desiring is wrong.

Good post. I think that Adam an d Eve's DNA and was unflawed. This DNA and had no mutations. This DNA did possess the genes to express variety in skin color, eye color, hair texture, etc. (Things we associate wit "race", although I believe we are all one race, with some distinct genetic variations in certain groups). I agree that the confusion of languages at Babel prompted people to group together according to language, and then these group migrated together to all parts of the earth. At the time of Babel the earth masses (continents) may have been more closely connected than they are now and began to drift apart in the time of Peleg, which says that the earth was divided during is lifetime.

When people began to live in language groups and interbred within these groups, certain genetic characteristics began to emerge as dominant genes. This most likely was how groups began to arise wit lighter or darker skin color, etc. Blue eyes are said to have emerged from a mutation in a man in the Caucasus mountain area. These people from the Caucasus area populated much of Europe and the blue eye mutation continued to be expressed in certain groups, as they continued to migrate across Europe. Green eye color (mine) is the rarest of color. Grey and amber eyes are also rarer than blue. Brown is the overwhelming dominant eye color in humans.

I have not done any DNA testing personally. China processes those tests and is collecting DNA from across the world. China, so, I do not want China to have my DNA information. I believe that China is doing tis in order to create deadly viruses that target certain DNA groups. Evil, evil, evil!

I do believe all kinds of cloning is going on of both humans, and animals, present day and extinct(think Jurassic Park). This is being done in clandestine ways. They may be even manipulating DNA to make hybrids. Evil, evil, evil!

I believe the same observation could be of many church-going folks, the building with whatever name that's put on it has become the church, not the people, lost in routines, many are called but few are chosen. It is sad when attendance is put above all. When Jesus first came was for the lost sheep of Israel, and to fulfill the law and the prophets. To confirm and fulfill the first and confirm the New in, the likeness of sinful flesh, what we see in Daniel 9:27 that many put at the end time.

I agree hell is not a place for the condemned and paradise is not a place for the righteous as holding places of the dead. I have not found one verse that say we go to heaven. In Revelation 20:14 we see the last enemy; death and its holding place hell (the grave) are cast into the lake of fire. In scripture when we die the grave is our home of corruption and if the same Spirit dwell in us, we will be raised by the Spirit that raised Christ, in incorruption in our immortal glorified body, death is swallowed up in victory.

When Jesus first came the land was highly influenced by Greco-Roman philosophy. Whether we believe it or not it still has influence on today, the meaning of death, immortal souls, monasticism that Jesus called Nicolaitans, and more.

As we see in Matthew 16 and Matthew 18 Jesus gave the keys of the kingdom and what is bound or loosed in earth will be done so in heaven. The reason of all the parables was the mysteries of the kingdom was not for them to know but for those who were chosen.

I agree in most of your post but if I understand correctly those after resurrection being brought into the fold. I struggle lining that up with the white throne judgment of the rest of the dead. Revelation 20:11-15. These are not all lost people, there will be some not cast into the lake of fire because the book of life is opened and only those not written in it will be cast in to the lake of fire.

Thank you so much Earl . You and I don't agree on everything but we have more in common than not if you know what I mean . I despise it when I hear so called preachers in my local town centre , aaaaall they do is insult people and preach that God is going to send them all to hell , even people who have never had the opportunity to hear the Gospel are going to hell to be tortured for eternity by some pointy tailed cloven hoofed monstrosity of their own vicious imagination . It drives me crazy , no one ever stops to listen to them or talk to them except me . They've got my number now though , when I walk towards them to ask them to show me where they are getting their info from they try to run away from me , it's easy for them to do that as I need crutches to walk outside . The first few times I managed to engage them and one of them looked embarrassed because he couldn't back up anything he was saying from scripture , the second was gobsmaked by this middle aged woman who could run rings around him and the third actually put his hand on my face to push me away and called me a devil . Preachers of lies and hate and fear . We only need to fear One and that is God , the Holy One of Israel . Christ is coming , you had better know what you believe in and it had better be the Bible , Old as well as New .

AMAN Vary well stated for Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. If Paul die daily what makes us so special are we better than Paul do we not need to die daily also. To die daily is to repent daily the old sinful man must die daily so the new man in Christ Jesus can live. If you do not repent daily than sin will build up in your live. And the old sinful man will take in your life again. Sometimes we sin without knowing it because of that old Adam's nature. We do things and not realizing that we have sinned. Therefore, we as Christians must repent are die daily.

Bro Dan Something to think about when we get born again we repent is the word metanoia[which means to have a change of mind or different mind set then remission of sins is aphesis[ the sending away like its gone and forgotten].

In Acts 2:38 the word says repent get a different mind set then get born again and receive remission of sins

forgiven and forgotten by believing Romans 10:9+10. Now the work in this is to continue in the good works of walking in faith not that were saved by works two totally different things. Now when we sin not on purpose that is where we confess

the sin we currently have done 1 John 6-10 and were back in harmony the state of being in fellowship but at no time were we not his son. Notice where we can be tricked if we lie and say we don't sin dishonest in our walk.

This is where the enemy tricks many christians out of there spiritual walk and inheritance.

There is a major different biblically between repent remission and forgiveness first one our job second one Gods job third one out job and Gods already done Job in Christ jesus.

Now this is the age of Grace not saying a believer has a license to do whatever he wants that is a total abuse of our freedom in christ his desire should be to do what God wants, unfortunately like you shared there are people

Hello S Spenser . I have definately heard more than one say that they are not baptized and more than one give a lengthy exposition on why they think it's not required . I'm not naming names , sorry if you think that's a cop out , I know who they are , they know who they are and you will know also if you dig long and deep enough . This is just an observation of the people around the town I live in, and not an indictment of them are anyone on this forum.

Most people don't read God's word, much less study it.

Most have no knowledge of the Kingdom of God, as taught by scripture. They have been taught, believe in Jesus and go to heaven, or if you don't believe, then you go to hell, it's all up yo you.

They are taught out of the New Testament, with most, seldom ever studying, in depth, the Law and Prophets.

When Jesus came preaching the Kingdom of God is at hand, there was no written New Testament, he taught out of the Law and Prophets.

Jesus speaking one of his parables said:

Luke 16:31 .....If they hear not Mosses (law) and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Acts 28:23 And when they had appointed Paul a day, there came many unto him into his lodging; to whom, Paul expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses and out of the prophets, from morning to evening.

Before the Old Testament was translated into other languages, there is no mention of HELL. One would assume that if there were such a place of torture for sin, the prophets would have never cease warning people. Yet not one word concerning a place called Hell. Likewise not one mention of a place of eternal bliss, called heaven.

The Kingdom of God is ON EARTH (CHRIST IN YOU), Christ has been calling man into his Kingdom for two thousand years. Those that are NOT CAUSED to hear his call in this AGE, will be resurrected back to their flesh, and Christ and those that WERE CAUSED to hear his call, will judge the earth, and bring the remaining sheep into the fold. This is very evident in the Law and Prophets.

In the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, man uses this parable to teach the doctrine of heaven and hell, Yet JESUS SAID, if they want believe the Law and Prophets, which DOES NOT teach heaven and hell.

Hello may god bless you for the work you are doing I am a Christian been so for the last 5 years, my query is when the rapture takes place as is according to 1 thess 4:17 those who are on earth that belong to Christ will caught up with him in the air, does that mean that those who are alive in Christ will not die and go to grave? will our bodies then be changed and we receive our new bodies immediately? If this will be the process what a day that will be.

Hi Mishael I believe whatever life form was on earth before God formed Adam and eve was between Genesis 1:1 and 1:3 that is why in genesis 1:28 to replenish the earth, whatever happened between genesis 1:2 had to be catastrophic

and absolutely destructive in purpose. I don't believe it was of God.

I appreciate your input. We are on the same page regarding discontinuing willful sin.

I was using my message in response to Jesse, and to also to agree with Cowboy, that I do believe (based on scripture) we can lose salvation by willful sinning.

Many Christians today believe they can continue to live their worldly lives, continue to sin, and still be assured of salvation. This is a very popular belief, and the scriptures are clear - that we must repent, and become obedient. So to continue with this train of thought, We have to change, and participate in our own salvation! Paul states in various scripture - in addition to receiving from Christ - we must also struggle and take action on our part! Yes, I also agree with you that we must strive to be sin free, and when we fall we must seek forgiveness, from God through his son Jesus.
