    Hello Enid.

Yes, It is said of David that he was a man after God's own heart. From reading the account of his life, it seems that he was a man who sinned like all of us, but came to God repentantly for mercy regularly. He was a devout believer in God. Scripture, on the whole speaks well of David.

The Holy Spirit is very precious to Jesus.

He warned us not to blaspheme, grieve or quench the Holy Spirit. You are right on to cherish His presence within you. He is the revealer of Jesus to us.

Scientists all agree that only CONIES survived an extinction level event. They found their remains. Carbon dating NOT the same as Dinosaurs.

They survived on the water of the plants that grew under rocks, in their habitats.

    Proverbs 30:26

    The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;

    Psalms 104:18

The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.

Archaeology, carbon dating show us earth is older than 6000 years. Scripture too. Use the Search Box and type: Conies. When earth was hit with an asteroid, scientists say little Coney type creatures were underground and survived. It's interesting.

Astronomers today have seen LAKE BEDS on every planet. All are dry lake beds except earth; we have abundant fresh water for people and creatures.

Some scriptures say God turned the world upside down. You need study Reference Bibles, to track connecting references to other scriptures of a same or like, event.

What would kill all living creatures (like dinosaurs all at the same time?

Where did preHISTORIC people remains come from?

I mean no offense when I say: what is wrong with us starting at Genesis 1:1. Flip to Romans 1:18-25

For Genesis students, the first thing God created is TIME. It's well hidden, but original Hebrew said: In Beginning

Writers, inserted THE, so our English minds could follow the thought.

    God said, LIGHT BE.

Rather than debate it, fight and confuse others with proper english_observe what God is saying and doing. He wants us to know.

    Genesis 1:1

    The Father purposes

The Word (Jesus) speaks. ( John 1:1)

The Spirit (Holy Spirit) executes the spoken word. Action.

FOUR THINGS scientists seek to explain:

    TIME, FORCE, ACTION, MATTER

They've never proved TIME. Who told me? The Holy Spirit. I went through a lot of Hebrew books till I found one that said: in beginning. That's Word enough for me. If the Holy Spirit says it; it's truth. He was there.

I truly hope this will free us, to move along to all of the books of the Bible. We're are in the events Christ spoke of In Matthew 24 and Luke 21; 2 Peter 3; Revelation.

Time and this Bible is totally about JESUS CHRIST. It's his story. We will be judged according to how we've lifted Him up and told others His Story.

Why didn't the Angels just take Lot and leave his wife and daughters behind? The husbands of the daughters chose to stay.

The wife "looked back" (symbolic of yearning for the old way of life) and was turned into a pillar of salt.

The daughters, who had just been pulled out of Sodom by the hands by Angels, didn't have enough faith to believe God would find them husbands, and seduced their father.

"Abraham believed God and it was reckoned to him as righteousness."

Jesus said, "....blessed are those who believe but have not seen."

How could people be so faithless when they've seen God or Jesus in action?????

    Which Tamar? There are 2.

    USING THIS WEBSITE SEARCH BOX=

When you come into this website you're on the LINK PAGE.

Up at the top is the SEARCH BOX. Links for the entire Bible is below that.

It's a really great SEARCH ENGINE, but just for Bible subject.

You can put the word 'Atonement' in the box and hit the arrow >

The engine will fetch every scripture that contains that word. You can sort the list; and the engine places the list in book order.

Or you can read either Old Testament verses only

    Or, New Testament verses only

With DATES OR HISTORY, you'll have to go on Google. Type it in like this:

    "Atonement, history".

By using all the search options, you'll learn some really awesome information. If search doesn't fetch anything try wording it differently.

If it fetches 10,000 verses; try wording it another wAy or just look at only OT or NT verses.

Look around on this whole website to see what's in it. If you get lost, just back out and come back in. Curious is good.

The location of the commentary box is below the search box. Touch a scripture and it will highlight Yellow. Scroll down slowly.

I've experienced all of those offenses. Jesus said "offenses will come."

Apostle Paul was jailed frequently. Apostle John was stuck on an island most of his life: but he wrote the Book of Revelation for us.

Social Media teaches us to be Reactionary; favorably or unfavorably. We need to FOLLOW JESUS, as He said. Live Jesus.

There's a new movie on YouTube. Search BLESSON. The movie subject is "Biblical End Times."

It's scripture. No dialog. Since it is dealing with reality in this time period we live in; it's violent. It fully represents true believers, versus false prophets and false believers.

A little over 1 hour. Last 2 minutes: heaven.

It covers the Bema Seat of Christ. Great White Throne Judgment. Satan in hell 1000 years; and then in the Lake of Fire.

I've never seen anything like this. It makes you want to warn people of the coming Judgments. Some people will think God is mean. The Bible has been around 6000 years. We were warned. Prophesy is unfolding.

Only 1 hour+ you may want to share it with friends. If you don't like it, just don't watch it.
  • Pharisees and Sadducees - In Reply on John 3 - 4 years ago
Pharisees were members of a party that believed in resurrection and in following legal traditions that were ascribed not to the Bible but to "the traditions of the fathers." Like the scribes, they were also well-known legal experts: hence the partial overlap of membership of the two groups.

According to Josephus, whereas the Sadducees believed that people have total free will and the Essenes believed that all of a person's life is predestined, the Pharisees believed that people have free will but that God also has foreknowledge of human destiny.

The Sadducees refused to go beyond the written Torah (first five books of the Bible) and thus, unlike the Pharisees, denied the immortality of the soul, bodily resurrection after death, and-according to the Acts of the Apostles (23:8), the fifth book of the New Testament-the existence of angelic spirits.

    What Jesus said about Pharisees?

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to."

    Giannis,

You bring up a great question. You ask: Assuming that we live at the very end of this world, what do you think, which modern nation/country looks like that kingdom?

Currently, I believe the country referred in your scripture is the US! It has been seen by most people in the world, as the strongest nation militarily, for many years. Recently, this mind set has begun to change, with many in favor of Russia or China as the possible new superpower. Russia is showing that it is really "NOT" a superpower as evidenced by their current failings in Ukraine, this is very revealing to the world, how weak they really are. Currently, that only leaves China now, as the only possible competitor with the US. The US has the proven record over many years of fighting modern warfare, as the strongest in that arena. Can this pivot to China, that is a high unknown. Russia has failed, China may be learning something from Russia's enormous mistake.

I also believe, the verse's that you quote in Daniel speak to the current weakening within the US. (And also shows the "falling away" of the entire world.) I view Christian's as "the iron"; the "clay" is everyone else - non believers. For some time now, the weak clay (non believers) has been mixing in with the iron, and weakening the strength of the US from within.

    Isaiah 5:20

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

As far as being close to the end times, know one knows but the Father, per Jesus. Looking all around, we seem to certainly getting closer. Isaiah below, speaks directly to what is currently happening all around us today!

    Isaiah 5:20

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

    God Bless.

    Hi Leigh,

This is a hard discipline, a hard lesson for us to love our enemies. And others have given great responses, filled with godly wisdom. Now I'd like to encourage you with some things that help me to grow in this area.

First of all, it isn't just 'those people' who tell us to love our enemies. It is our Master Who tells us to do so. Matthew 5:44,

    "BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Whenever Jesus says, in Scripture, "BUT I SAY UNTO YOU", boy...I sit up and take notice! It is the LORD commanding us to do so, not mere human beings.

Secondly, Jesus would not ask us to do something without giving us grace and Holy Ghost power to do so.

Thirdly, when I am treated badly, I think of how Jesus died for me when I was His enemy. Before I knew Him, when He was on that cursed tree paying for my crimes, He looked down through history and was forgiving me, for I was so depraved in my sin, I had no idea what I was doing...REALLY. What a Savior!

It is an honor then, when we are mistreated, to get a chance to be like Jesus, the Lord Who we love, and choose to forgive.

Fourthly, we pray our godly example will lead our troublers to repentance. And if they do not repent, justice will be served at God's good pleasure. Vengeance belongs to Him. He WILL repay. All will work out in righteousness as we wait on God.

Fifthly, I think on many examples of saints who have been persecuted and/or martyred for the faith; how many sealed their testimony with forgiveness to those who took their lives! Again...no human can do this alone; but we're not alone! We have the Holy Spirit!

Don't be discouraged! It is God's will that we forgive - and He will help us to do it! He will get all the glory for it, for it is by His own power we overcome evil with good!

    Blessings, Leigh!

I judge No Person. Jesus Is The Judge. Jesus Says TO Peter: Thou, Peter Savourest Not The Things Of God.

Jesus Says TO Peter (NOT TO Judas):

    Get Thee Behind Me Satan.

Jesus Says: Peter = Satan = The Devil

Jesus Says: Have Not I Chosen You Twelve: And ONE Of You IS A Devil.

Peter Was The "One" Devil That Jesus Chose To Be A Disciple Of His.

That Which Is (Highly Esteemed) IS Abomination Unto God. Simon Peter IS (Very Highly) Esteemed. Many People Admire & Adore Peter (They Idolize Peter). They Have Even Built An Image Of Simon Peter. It Stands In The Vatican.. Over The Years Billions Of People Have Bowed Down And Kissed Peter's Feet (Worshipping) Peter. To The Point Where The Feet Of The Statue Are Actually Wearing Away.

Jesus Says TO (PETER) : Get (THEE) Behind Me (SATAN) : (THOU) Savourest (NOT) The Things (OF) GOD.

God's people (Adore / Lift Up) Simon Peter (Highly (Above) All The Other Disciples. They Idolize Peter (A Mere Man Who) DID NOT SAVOUR The Things Of God. (A Mere Man) Whom Jesus Called (Satan).

Simon Peter Is An Abomination In The Eyes Of Jesus. Jesus Literally Turned His Back On Peter: Jesus) Couldn't Stand The Sight Of Peter/Satan).

Have You Heard? That Peter Requested To Be (Crucified Upside Down) Because He Didn't Feel Worthy To Be Crucified In The Same Manner As Jesus.

Is It Any Wonder That Satan Worshippers Wear (An Upside-Down Crucifix) Around Their Necks?

Jesus Said To PETER: Get THEE Behind Me, SATAN.

Peter = Thee = Satan = The ONE Devil That Jesus Chose To Be His Disciple.

    Believe It "OR" Not.

    The Choice Is Entirely Yours.

    Hi Chris

I've done some research and found out that:

The name of Peter's father was (Eng) Jona or Jonah, (Hbr) Yona or Yonah, (Gk) Ionas. It means "dove, pigeon". It is the same name as Prophet Jona in the Old Testament.

Apostole John's name in Gk is Ioannes, in Hbr Yohanan. It means God is gracious or God's grace or God's gift. I was alwayd wondering why I never found that name in the Old Testament, did it appear for the first time in Jesus' times? Visiting a Jewish website I found

out that it appears many times in the Old testament but in the Hebrew form of it i.e. Ezra 8:12. , 2 Kings 25:23, 1 Cronicles 6:9 etc . (Eng) Johanan (Hbr) Yohanan.

    Hey GiGi,

If I may, I love the love and care you show for others on this site. I agree with you on the importance of the creeds aligning with scripture, we are told to try the spirits, 1John 4:1. Also, we should look at how and for what purpose these creeds were written and the consequences of them. Does it matter the Holy Spirit was not included in the Nicene Creed; it was years later when it became the trinity?

From the beginning of these creeds, were placed at the top of faith and the foundation of Christianity. Even today in most denominations you must believe and profess these creeds, or you are shunned, called a heretic, and told you are not a Christian. In the past you could have been burned at the stake, beheaded, or excommunicated, making you free game to be killed. Thousands upon thousands have been killed due to these creeds.

I have seen and heard it said it is a mystery but, in the Bible, mystery refers to a sacred secret, it is something that has been hidden and has not been revealed. The question is not, can we find scripture to fit the creeds, but whether we can find scripture that the trinity is explicitly taught in the Bible and is taught if we do not believe and have faith in it we can not be saved or be a Christian? Does man have authority over scripture? Is this seeking wisdom?

1 Corinthians 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

I hope this will be taken out of love. Not believing in the Trinity is not denying the divinity of Jesus.

    GOD bless.

    Dear Bernie

In those verses like V24 and V25 the hole Gospel is included. Pages can be written to explain what they mean. But in a few words those who hear and believe in Jesus' word that He was sent by Father God to sacrifice Himself for people to have eternal life, then those people will not be judged by God in the Final Judgement (because they believe in Him through Jesus and have their sins erased) and will not die spiritually (that is go to hell) but live eternally with God.

If smd has a better definition please post it.
