    Alex, dear Alex. You just can't pull out a Scripture & build a teaching from it. You must look at all instances where these feasts are mentioned. You quoted Isaiah 1:10-16 where the Lord abhored these sacrifices & feasts because they came with evil in their hearts (v15), not because the new moon & feast observances were wrong.

    Then if you look at 2 Chronicles 8:12-16, again there were similar offerings & remembrances made by Solomon, to which the Lord did not condemn. If the Lord is going to condemn something He has introduced or permitted, then He must condemn it in all instances of their performance. The difference was that in Isaiah, the condemnation was because of the filthiness of their hearts, likened to the people of Sodom & Gomorrah (v10).

    Once we get the understanding of the Scriptures straight, then we can appreciate the rest of Scripture, or else, we can just make up things as we go along & go further & further from the Truth. It's true, Israel, in their history, probably disappointed the Lord more than they worshipped Him with clean hearts & pure motives, but all Scriptures pertaining to them must be looked at & correctly & judged as given - one cannot throw out the baby with the bath water.

    Earl Bowman Gods word is perfect because the author is perfect, therefore by sheer logic if there is

    a problem with interpretation or understanding it is not the authors problem. Men or man MYSELF included

    has this little problem believing that God didn't mean what he said and say what he mean't. Even when He to me

    speaks to me I MUST line the info up with IT IS WRITTEN to determine truth from error. There are times on this site

    when I misstated or didn't communicate correctly, but I endeavored to correct error. But your position is this

    is what I see in scripture again because the spirit led me and with TOTAL ABSOLUTION but it fit like a square

    peg in a round hole. You ask for example which has been done by more than one. There's a scripture that

    applies here There is wisdom in a multitude of counselors. You appear to like a conversion but the question is

    to what profit? There's a phrase in scripture a conscience [seared with a hot iron] conscience is habit pattern

    so one that it seared is a habit pattern done so long that it is engraved in the mind and very hard to change

    or see. I had a few in this category, took years to break by prayer and God Grace. Just sharing some heart.

    Hiya Chris GBU.....You are coming in loud and clear But YOU DON'T understand the grandscheme

    OF Gods plan . Remember there was none righteous no not one , My house shall be called a house

    of prayer but you have made it a den of theives. Isaiah 1 : 13 KJV Bring no more vain oblations, your

    new moons and your SABBATHS and your assemblies i cannot away with it,it is iniquity even your solome

    assemblies v 14 Your new moons and your appointed feast ( CHANUKAK ) my soul HATETH when you make many

    prayers i will hide my

    eyes...Your hands are full of blood . Chris this is y Jesus had to die simply b/c they were worshipping him with their

    lips but their hearts were far from him ,God wanted a perfect Israel be ye perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect .

    Judaism was a slap in the face of God . Your New Moons and your solome assemblies my soul hateth , It was not a

    happy time for our lord he was a man of sorrows and aquainted with grief. But if he died he wd be multiplied as the

    stars of heaven making eveybody righteous by his blood and that baby Christ the H.G. the Child of PROMISE as he said

    outta of the mouths of babes and suckling thou has PERFECTED Praise. And that was the grandscheme of Gods plans

    That mankind might be like God by giving birth to the H.G The Child of Promise the multiplication of Christ via his seed

    the words of that new covenant , Chanukak their feast days ( 8 DAYS OF CELEBRATION ) cd not even begin to make

    any body righteous . BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD THAT TAKETH AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD. Chris i am praying

    for you that you might birth a baby Christ which is the H.G. the Child of Promise , Unless you receive the Kingdom of

    God as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in . She brought forth a man Child that is gonna rule all nations.

    As a Born Again Believer, and one who strives to live in accordance with God's will, I believe that he/she who is truly SAVED will not and cannot do anything that would erase that to which is already established. Once we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are sealed and will forever be His children. Just as God allows us to FREELY choose, He also has given His children the ability to make choices with discernment. Therefore, choosing to get the vaccine, or choosing not to get the vaccine will NOT determine our eternal destination. Therefore, please keep in mind that when the Mark Of The Beast presents itself to the world, those who accept to receive it will be doing so with the knowledge of what they are accepting. In other words, every choice that one makes must be done with intention, willfulness, and knowledge that they are accepting the Mark. The vaccine does not fall within this criteria as no true Christian would willingly and intentionally accept the vaccine if they knew it was the Mark Of The Beast.

    God Bless!

    Dear friends in the Lord

    Romans 9:12It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

    13As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

    14What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

    15For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

    16So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

    17For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

    18Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

    19Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?

    20Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

    21Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

    22What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

    23And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

    24Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

    25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

    26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

    27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:

    28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

  • Personality of a Religious Spirit - 4 years ago
    Religious spirits, like many other types of demons, have relatives or similar demons in their groupings. This is a basic list of demons that you might find in somebody who has a religious spirit:

    * judgementalism

    * self-righteousness

    * religious pride

    * criticism

    * legalism

    * perfectionism

    * division

    * error (doctrinal falsehood)

    * unbelief

    * doubt

    * confusion

    * argumentism***

    * false holiness

    * salvation by works

    * guilt

    * condemnation

    * fear of losing salvation

    * fear of God (unhealthy, scared feeling)

    * intolerance

    the person is trying to make things right with God themselves and not relying on the work of Christ, which already paid their debt in full.

    If you think of yourself as more important than others, then you almost certainly have a self-righteous or false holiness spirit. Other things you might look for are feelings that you're always right and everybody else is wrong, or a weakness with being outspoken. Somebody who comes across as a know-it-all may also have religious spirits.

    Thinking that you can do things apart from God is another dead-giveaway. Jesus made it very clear that apart from Him, you can do nothing.

    Mishael: arguing in front of potential salvation seekers shouldn't happen. Our witness matters more.

    [Why does people believe that you have to take the chip in your hand to be the mark of the beast' as opposed the vaccine? I believe many of my christian friends have been decieved, but on the other hand it seems many christians believes the mark of the beast will happen once we know who the Antichrist is and we as christians we will not see this happening as we will be rapture before this.] The word of God reads in Revelation 13: 16 to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:" This vaccine has a chip in it that I believe will flow through your body until it reaches a small blood vein where the chip will be stuck the smallest blood vein in the body is in the right hand and the forehead.

    Many people are being deceived about the vaccine even after they get the vaccine they can still get the virus. Biden is making camps for the people that refuse to take the vaccine. I believe the antichrist will appear after the beast which is a computer "this is a one world order". The church will see some of the one world order before it is taken out of this world. This is just the beginning of the beast more is yet to come

    God Bless

    Stay prayed up and ready to go up

    Earl,

    All of creation is upheld by the power of God, not because creation is made up of part of God's Spirit. We both know that Jesus exists forever, so the point about Jesus ceasing to exist is a moot point.

    2 Peter 3

    3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

    4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

    2 Timothy 3

    1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

    2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

    3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

    4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

    Romans Chapter 1

    28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

    29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

    30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

    31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

    Philippians 3:2

    Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. (Comment: dogs sniff things they ought not to)

    1 Timothy 6

    3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to THE DOCTRINE which is according to godliness;

    4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about QUESTIONS and STRIFES of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

    This is what every country is experiencing. The Bible says that it will 'wax worse and worse.' Your faith needs to be strong in what the New Testament teaches on these Last Days before Jesus's Return.

    The unsaved will be in these comment rooms preaching their HERESIES. They are reprobate. Don't listen to their rants.

    Earl,

    You are incorrect in stating that I base all truth on the traditions of man. I hold all teachings up to the Word of God no matter when it was written. I just happen to think that most of what is considered to be orthodox teachings are biblically sound. But it seems that you are not willing to accept any interpretation of Scripture other than your own.

    Hi Earl,

    Thanks for the suggestion on Zechariah. I will read it but not comment on this time as my focus is on the book of Genesis and I have more chapters in Genesis to go yet.
  • Chris - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Hi Earl. Just thought to drop in since you are having a discussion on the matter of twisting Scripture with Rick. Saw your Luke 16:31 reference. This is probably a good example of what Rick was referring to. You quoted, "And he said unto them, If they (his church) hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. Christ's CHURCH today does not believe the words of Moses and the prophets."

    You will have a hard time convincing anyone that Jesus was speaking about "His Church" in that account. You know the story well & that His hearers were the Pharisees primarily (v14). So the proper transliteration of verse 31 would be, 'If the five brothers of the rich man (v28) paid no regard to the Law & the Prophets, neither will (those brothers) be persuaded about the eternal torment of hell, even if one rose from the dead to warn them'. Pardon the extended paraphasing, but wanted to show you how a reader would understand that passage, in which the "Church" cannot be forced into its meaning. I realize that you probably once looked at Scriptures in this way, but for the many 'contradictions' in the accepted exposition, you have turned away & found 'truth' by looking at the Word in this new way. I have tried very hard to learn where you are coming from with your expositions & though I might be wrong, I have found from some other's religious interpretations, that they first come with particular beliefs & doctrines, then everything must match up to it, even if the normal sense of the verse is cast off.

    Since you don't believe that the Word of God is correctly preached today, rather teaching the doctrines of men, then you could be justified in changing the reference to the 'brothers' to refer to the 'Church' to support your belief. This might work for you but how do you convince others to break accepted conventions of reading Scripture? One should rather understand what is given & then develop a belief, not the other way around.

    Proverbs and Ecclesiastes focus on Wisdom. We have to put it to use.

    Don't read it too fast.

    This website has a real fast search engine.

    It's at the top of the red page you enter.

    When you want to read commentary on a scripture, touch it and it turns yellow.

    Scroll downUntil you see the box that says commentary and click on that.

    Or you can put the scripture into the Google box in type commentary after that and several commentary sites will pop up and generally read in the first five websites that appear.

    Brother Rick, If I twisted God's words and you know the verses I twisted and made God's words of no effect and deceived others by my words, surely as a brother you should show me my error. It want be the first time I've repented in my beliefs.

    Sister GiGi, I'm asking a favour, would you take the book of Zechariah and go thru it and explain it like you did the book of Genesis.

    I believe it will be a good study and we all will benefit because not all the prophecy of that book has been fulfilled, we haven't yet come to the feast of tabernacles.

    God Bless You.

    Sister GiGi, here is a prophecy of Zechariah by the Spirit of Christ.

    Zechariah 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that everyone that is left of all nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the king, the LORD of Host, and to keep the feast of the tabernacles.

    Does our Christian churches believe and teach this prophecy of God's kingdom on earth.

    No, they don't, have you ever sat in church and hear this preached or seen it preached on television or heard it preached on radio.

    Jesus came not to destroy the law and prophets, but to fulfill the law and prophets.

    Hi Timothy a binggeli. Romans is the go to book for that. However, remember Yah said if you done it in your heart you already done it physically so they were going to do it anyway. But they must repent and they have a special calling to be celebate and chaste before the Lord.

    Brother Rick, which scriptures did I twist.
  • Chris - In Reply - 4 years ago
    So Alex, you've all along been trying to tell me that because the Jews were wanting to kill Jesus on the Feast of Dedication day, therefore for anyone to acknowledge or participate in that event (Chanukah), does great wrong as it's associated with wickedness.

    If I use reasoning like that, then Matthew chapter 12 showing Jesus breaking the Sabbath (according to the Pharisees who then made plans to kill Him), would make Sabbath remembrance (or acknowledgement of it), a failure on God's part to institute such a day that invites sin. The Sabbath was sanctified by God - it was the Pharisees who had wicked hearts making it unholy. Chanukah is a valid Jewish Day of Remembrance - the Pharisees invalidated it by wanting to kill rather than praise God that they were alive now because God intervened to save many Jewish lives.

    Let's not confuse that "the blindness & hardness of hearts" that were & are the state of most Jews, should ever cause us to think of them as evil. Rather, as Paul stated, that his prayer & heart's longing was for Israel to be saved. The Lord & His disciples not only participated in the various feasts but also reached out to those who gathered there. The state of man's heart is in question here, not the state of an honourable remembrance day.
  • Earl Bowman - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Sister GiGi, if it were possible for Christ to cease existing (and it's not), what would happen to creation.

    Would it continue on because it was made of something else Christ created or would it cease to EXIST.

    Now if it was not made of and in Christ it would continue, but if it was made of and in Christ it would cease.

    You believe the first: I believe the second.
  • Earl Bowman - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Sister GiGI, classic Christians teachings and Scripture based teachings are two different things.

    The prophets were sent to declare the WORD given them by the SPIRIT OF CHRIST, man rejected those words and killed God's Prophets.

    Jesus spoke these words:

    Luke 16:31 And he said unto them, If they (his church) hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

    Christ's CHURCH today does not believe the words of Moses and the prophets.

    They do whole heartily believe and teach the doctrines of man.
