Stew speaks: "If you believe you will be raptured away you already have the 'mark'...Do not be deceived, there is no rapture...Take your Bible studies back to the Greek and Hebrew languages":

Precious friend, thanks for your 'judgments'; I believe God's Scriptures, in 'Plain ENGLISH.' and since I 'believe' God's Gospel Of GRACE ( Link ):

    1a) "...we which are alive and remain WILL BE CAUGHT UP {raptured}..." ( 1 Th 4:17) = TO HEAVEN ( 2 Co 5:1-2; Eph 1:3; Eph 1:20: Eph 2:6; Philippians 3:20; Col 1:5; 2 Ti 4:18)

1b) "Who Hath Also SEALED us, and Given The Earnest Of The Spirit in our hearts." 2 Co 1:22

"In Whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard The Word Of Truth, The Gospel of your salvation: in Whom also after that ye Believed, ye Were SEALED With That Holy Spirit of Promise" Eph 1:13

"And grieve not The Holy Spirit of God, Whereby ye Are SEALED Unto The Day Of Redemption" Eph 4:30

Thus, all "SEALED By The Spirit of God," who Depart TO HEAVEN, Prior to TOJT, DO NOT have the 'mark of the beast' = God Renders that 'Impossible'!

    2) Sorry, Cannot find Any Scriptures About "being a linguistics/language 'scholar' to understand God's Word Of Truth to me in my Own language" {"they All Heard 'in their Own tongues'" ( Acts 2:5-11)}, but have found the following Bible "study" Rules:

    3) {God} The LORD JESUS CHRIST is my ONLY Righteous "Judge!":

The Righteous JUDGMENT Of God! Rom 2:3,5

...God The JUDGE of all!...God Will JUDGE! Heb 12:23; Heb 13:4

...Strong Is The LORD God Who JUDGES!... Rev 18:8

    Thus, we Cannot "judge" others...

Thank you Spencer. I pray the Lord works in us as we reach the end of our age. I pray that he sparks a revival in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. I know that persecution will be coming soon to this country. I can't say that i've never felt it because I have just not physical. Everywhere I go in the workplace, home, it's a way of life that Christ said we would have. But I think we can through prayer and perseverance and patience we will endure through it. I think one of the main things we need to be is encouraged in prayer and building up our brothers and sisters. Check up on them regularly and see if they need anything if possible. Go out in the world see people who are in need and offer a helping hand. We need to put ourselves out there. He's coming soon and we need to make sure that he is the center of our life. No one knows how Jesus Christ looks like but I have picture on my lock screen on my phone and every time I open it I just think and that image stays in my mind all day and has been for a while now. When many of you became born again did you ever get to points of giving up and feelings of depression and anger that you knew was wrong but yet by GOD's grace you were able to make it through ? I am learning more of his Grace and how it is pivotal in a Christian's understanding of who God is and how he perfects his goodness in us. I am blessed to have you all as brothers and sisters. God Be with Y'all

I have another question. Do y'all ever go through like periods of time where either family or even the world gets so overwhelming that you feel SIN all over the place in so much you get SAD ? I periodically feel like that but then his word comes in my mind and I always go back to the gospels where he says and the cares of this world and the riches choke up the word so then I start singing or remembering other verses I know in scripture but still pray. I was wondering what are your remedies when you have or if you ever go through feelings of despondency, despair or even a sense of your own family not wanting to ever understand the importance ? Thank you everyone

You brothers and sisters are truly amazing. I told the Lord I wanted to get to visit a couple of church's around the area to see what they are teaching and if indeed the salt has lost it's flavor. I love the Bible but I agree with Sacha that now it's like my Bible comes literally alive in a sense that I think about him everyday as to what I need to do for him or just sing in my head or keep praying in my head. Sometimes I'll be driving and when not listening to music I usually have the Bible on and if I don't I have long conversations with him and sometimes lose sight of the road and don't pay attention to my surroundings lol. Praise be to God I don't cause an accident. I tell my family and keep telling people but no one wants to believe me and that's fine. I've taken a different approach in praying in the morning. I do prayer walks with the Lord. I heard about a man that has been mission for a long while now Raymond Koh from Indonesia and his wife said on the Voice of Martyrs that he would do prayer walks and it got me thinking.....Sometimes the house I live in gets so noisy I have to go outside and talk to him you know ? I don't know about y'all but I cry everyday. The word sometimes gets so strong it makes me cry like a baby and I believe that's the Holy Spirit convicting me more and strengthening me for what's to come and that's the big persecution in our country. The urgency is there. People are suffering right now. They need to know that there's someone that loves them and cares for their soul but also doesn't want them to perish. Some people even us Christians can be a little hard headed I know but it's not until (I believe) the Holy Spirit really shows us what we are doing wrong and wants us to be better at it. I love you all. I hope and wish to meet y'all one day. I think it's Psalms 91 or Psalms 18 where it says and the snares of Hell compass me about I believe its Psalms 18. I don't want brimstone and heat. I need more fire. God be with y'all

Mary Atkinson 2 years ago: Praying that this communication finds you well both physically and spiritually.

Thank you Mary for your very accurate comment on this chapter 15, from 2 Chronicles. I agree with you completely. We are the ones who leave the Lord and walk a different path. If we are smart and courageous like Asa, we will repent and come back to the Lord and reap the benefits that the Lord had for us in the first place.

May God bless you and continue to shine His face on you and your family; as well as all who are on this forum. Our country and our leaders will do well to heed the warnings from this portion of Scripture.

Let us all pray diligently that they find the true salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ and receive the Spirit of God and the mind of the Lord Jesus Christ. October 11, 2021

7 Excellent Rules for Knowledgeable Bible study!:

    1) Let ALL things be done Decently and In Order! 1 Co 14:40

    2) Study ALL Scripture Rightly Divided!:

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, Rightly Dividing The Word Of Truth!" ( 2 Timothy 2:15)

    3) Never add to or take away From God's Holy Word! Deu 4:2, Deu 12:32; Rev 22:18,19

    4) Be noble students: These (in Berea) were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received The Word with all readiness of mind, and searched The Scriptures daily, Whether Those Things Were So! Acts 17:11

    5) Build Sound Doctrine, God's Way!:

    a) For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little! Isa 28:10

    b) Find ALL Related Scriptures For A Specific doctrine!: ALL Scripture Is Given By Inspiration Of God, And Is Profitable For Doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto ALL good works! 2 Ti 3:16-17

    c) Compare ALL Related Scriptures to learn and know a specific doctrine!: Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but Which The Holy Ghost Teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual! 1 Co 2:13 {Comparing Scripture With Scripture!}

    6) The Best 'Interpretive' Commentary On The Bible Is: The BIBLE Itself! Never interpret the Plain Scriptures by the few difficult verses, but ALWAYS interpret the few obscure and difficult verses by ALL Of The Many Plain and Clear Passages Of God's Holy Word!

+ 1 Final Excellent Rule for Knowledgeable BIBLE study!:

    7) In order to Honor The Father And The SON John 5:22-23, in Preparation For Judgment, Always keep in mind: Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do ALL to The Glory Of God! 1 Cor 10:31

And then we can ALL, in UNITY Of The Spirit... Eph 4:3: ...speak the things which become sound doctrine Tit 2:1 cp SAME mind And judgment 1 Co 1:9-10

Behold i send the Promise of my Father upon you which was baptism of the H.G. The birth of a Spritual Child with in them by faith and the H.G. is a living being the multiplication of Christ in US Thus the Child of Promise ,That was the great Promise that Christ wd be multiplied as the stars of heaven thus the H.G IS THE MULTIPLCATION of Christ Jesus his offspring our fruit unto God a baby Christ ,Only a baby Christ cd be the Multiplication of God, the wheat is a baby Christ thats y he always refers to himself as the son of man, Mankinds fruit unto God via that good seed .Thats y we must be bornagain of an incorruptible seed which are his Words .Christ Jesus cd not refer to the H.G. as the Promise if he were not the multiplcation of God/Christ ,to whom the word came ( Christ seed ) It made them Gods and the scripture cannot be broken. The Child is Spirit as he said that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit thus that Child of Promise is the H.G. Our new innerman ( the h.g. ) has to be born in us via his seed. No other way. Remember that great Promise was multiplication, I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven thus the babes and sucklings the Israel of God Smite the sheppard then i will turn my hand to the little ones. Unless ya receive the Kingdom of God as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in. The Child will rule all nations he is our new heart and new spirit the H.G. That Child OF Promise. Lord have mercy on me a sinner.

Dear Brother's and sister's i Love u all in Christ. And my pray for the society these days is actually Wake Up! I know am not alone in this. The society have slept too long already!

    Zechariah 10

1Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

2For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.

3Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.

So sad as the reality is.

But to day is a new day, a day for salvation, Freedom, endurance and boldness and mm. It's coming back too all the society! Who Praises the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jeremiah 27 5 I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

The bondage spirit is bound in the darkness of darknes in His Glorious Nave above all other name's! And will not come back in the holy Name of Jesus Christ, we have the authority. The society will be free, Amen Thank You Lord Jesus Christ i will forever thank You with all my heart.

Arnold B , many are called but few are chosen . I feel the same as you . I wonder if this is happening to a lot of Christians all over the world . It's even harder for Sisters , in my congregation we have to keep silence , maybe thats why I come on here . I never really felt the Truth burning in me except for the last few years . I don't know if it's because of the signs of the times , I feel that Christ is very near in a way I didn't used to . I always loved the Bible but for the last few years it feels alive , alive is the only word I can think of to describe it . Many of my Brother's and Sisters here in England seem to me to be a bit sleepy . That's the nicest way I can put it , a bit too caught up in this life . You are definately not alone Arnold , I'm sure you already know that . I'm quite a wall flower in person so even though I'm bursting to shout the Truth every where I go I don't , I'm ashamed to say that . Come on here and post your hearts fire , we will love it . He is coming Arnold , I'm sooooooo excited !

Oh brother Arnold. You've hit the nail on the head with your very insightful provocative comments. You've just shared, in a nutshell, the condition of the Church at large. What ought to be a gathering of highly motivated, joyous, Christ-expecting believers, we sadly find a lethargic, even life-less, socially-inclined pew warmers. And it's not always the fault of Church leaders; we need to be fed the Word & be led in our walk, but it's the Holy Spirit within us Who gives us the drive, zeal for God's Word & sharing with others our experiences, that has to exude from us.

You have tried to 'test the waters' by engaging with some for discussion, but found blank faces & apathy. To many, being a Christian is to be born again, love God & people, go to Church & occasionally read the Bible. There is merit there, but the vitality of engaging in deep Christian relationships, discussions, urging each other to a deeper life in Christ & being there when personal needs are pressing, are heart-breakingly absent.

Normally, I would suggest moving around the evangelical Churches in your area & see whether there is any 'life' out there. However, if there aren't many to choose from, you may need to bear along at the Fellowship you're at, personally grow in God's Word, in spiritual exercises, in God's direction for your life, and then be the catalyst of change within that body of believers. If your passion is bubbling over for Bible studies, join one or suggest to the Eldership of having one commence. If for evangelism, get a group together for tract distribution on a street corner or mail box drop, or door-to-door sharing. You may find a few burdened for prayer, join in or start one. You may be the one the Lord is looking for to instigate a change there. But keep the Pastor & Elders informed & willing to support you.

But you're always welcome here - we are a great bunch of excitable folk, eager to feed on God's Word & discuss it to the last syllable. Psalm 71:14-17 for you brother.

Everyone must remember that the antichrist comes to the earth to claim that he is JESUS at the 6th trump. JESUS does not return until the 7th trump. The antichrist comes claiming to be CHRIST but is not. The mark of the beast is not a tattoo, microchip or anything like that. The mark of the beast is what is

IN your forehead-you're mind-what you believe. If you believe you will be raptured away you already have the "mark". In Revelation there are 7 seals, 7 trumps and 7 vials. 666 simply means that satan appears ON THE EARTH at the 6th seal, 6th trump and the 6th vial, hence 666. The true JESUS does not arrive ON THE EARTH until 777, the last seal, trump and vial. Do not be deceived, there is no rapture and the earth will NEVER be destroyed. JESUS sets up HIS kingdom on earth. Jerusalem is YHVH's favorite place in the universe and where GOD is, heaven is.Take your Bible studies back to the Greek and Hebrew languages, get a Strongs concordance and look at the words in the original languages. Old Testament in Hebrew, New Testament in Greek. GOD bless everyone in your studies. Ask HIM with an honest heart and HE will open the Scripyures to you Amen and Amen.

Hello Clymer. As you have probably read starting from John 3:1, Jesus was speaking to Nicodemus, a Pharisee, a Jewish religious leader. Firstly, Jesus had explained to him a Truth that he hadn't heard of before & even now, could grasp: that of a spiritual re-birth. So then Nicodemus asks Jesus: "How can these things be?" To which Jesus basically tells him, that even a master of Israel (i.e. one like Nicodemus who was well studied in the Scriptures & the Law) cannot know the things that someone who has a personal experience of such knowledge knows & brings. Nicodemus probably prided himself with scriptural knowledge, but here is Jesus standing before Him Who could illuminate his mind & heart with heavenly things.

And so, Jesus goes on to say in verse 13, 'no one from Earth has ever gone up to Heaven & then returned to bring you such knowledge - it has only been Jesus (the Son of Man now) Who was already in Heaven & now come down to bring such glorious news' (I've transliterated this verse liberally, so you can get a better understanding). So, did Jesus go up from Earth to Heaven & learn God's Truths & then bring them to Earth? Definately, NO. Jesus was already there, being God's Word, given humanity & sent to Earth to bring God's Word & to give His Life for all ( John 1:1-14). So Nicodemus was in a special position now to hear directly this Word of God from Jesus the Son of God, a Word that he could never dig up from the reading of the Old Testament Scriptures, but had to receive it directly from Jesus Who was in Heaven.

And this Nicodemus was one who attended to the dead Body of Jesus by bringing embalming spices for His burial ( John 19:39,40). We can't be sure about Nicodemus' salvation, but this act of love & sorrow certainly leads one to believe that this man's heart was changed & he was prepared to risk his reputation & life for his loving act - a love for the heavenly Master Who told him all he ever wanted to know.

When you are born again ( John 3), Jesus will send the Holy Spirit to live with you and teach you everything you need to know. This is known as receiving the baptism through the Holy Spirit.

Water baptism is something many people want to do. I did. For me I was leaving my old life in the water and being raised in newness of mind and spirit. In my mind, it was also a statement to the

devil that I wholly belonged to Jesus, now and forever.

Be sensitive to how and what the Holy Spirit is saying to you. His is a still small voice that does never frighten you. I hear his voice in my spirit, but near my right ear. He likes praise music, that's all I can say. Jesus is the joy of my life.

Keep coming back here and we'll pour some love of Jesus all over you. Write me Anytime :)
  • Chris - In Reply on 2 Samuel 24 - 4 years ago
Hi Ron. Those are two good portions of Scripture you've given for us to consider (btw, I think you meant to write 1 Chronicles 21:1).

To answer your questions properly, we must first know that God is neither the Author of sin, nor the tempter of mankind to sin. James 1:13-15: "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."

So, to your passages. Clearly in the second passage ( 1 Chronicles 21:1), Satan is said to have "provoked" David to sin by numbering Israel. Yet 2 Samuel 24:1 speaks of the LORD having provoked David. To make sense of this, we can also recall Exodus 7:13,14 (& others verses like it), where "God hardened Pharaoh's heart" refusing to let the Israelites leave Egypt. We can also look at Job 1:9-12, where God gave Satan permission over Job's family & possessions. In both Scriptures, God doesn't incite or cause one to do evil, but brings about a situation where He removes His absolute control. And we can say the same for ourselves: when confronted with a situation to sin, God can either prevent us from committing sin or allow us to determine what we will do with it - we have a mind (& the Holy Spirit, if we're believers), to choose our path.

When we bring those two passages together, we see that God "moved David". God did not force him to do wrong, but steered him in that direction of decision & allow his better judgement to not pursue such sin. Even Joab warned David about doing this & later David realized that he had done wrong, his heart was smitten & he repented (v10). With Job also, Job did nothing wrong, but God allowed Satan license to provoke Job to sin - but unlike David, Job did not. Satan is our enemy to entice us to sin - not God - God allows the tests - we have to choose rightly.
