    Gen.5.29 "Noah" (1 of 2)

"And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed."

This segment ends at this point. Generation of Jesus Christ consists of the blessed in their faith while the generation of Adam in Ch.5 relate to heirs of promise and those who belong to the sons of Adam. There is a big difference here. Beginning with Seth who stands out in his generation, "and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth:" He is in his own likeness where the bar sinister over the curse on the ground is a mark, as vivid as the one God set on Cain. Seth was the heir of promise and his volume was made up by blessings heavenly as stipulated in the Covenant but sweat of his brow and the toil of his hands set the law of sin and death work contrary to the Law of the Spirit."For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:/ But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members./O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?" (Rom.7.22-24) This body of death was ever present. In order to prove that 'the toil of our hands' produced ": cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;/Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee." (3.17-18)

In the background we have this commentary of what tares were growing. It was in their mind. "And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,/That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair." The cult of Earth mother, votaries to moon host of heaven- shamanism as an institution were floating around as a result. " And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

    Gen.4.2 "The Good Shepherd" (2 of 2)

God had set provision for the fulfilment of his divine Will before the worlds began. Here we see in the foreknowledge of the heirs of promise.. Cain dealt with his patrimony merely for an occupation, for his creature comforts even as Esau sold his birth right for a mess of pottage. Seth had reverence to step in place of Abel so as the Branch in his father's house what was his claim to his biological parents. None( Jn 1.11) whatsoever even as Jesus came into his own and they received him not."He came unto his own, and his own received him not." The Spirit did not introduce the house of my friend as a loose end. " And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends."(Zech.13.6)Seth was in the house of his parents bearing as St Paul confessed," for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.". Compare the mark of Cain with that of Seth, which is spiritual.

The Bible is inerrant. I have not seen any loose ends in the narrative where every event name, places and persons hoold frame of reference to Jesus Christ. One example I shall give. Those who do not enter in the day Seven sanctified as God's rest is 6-6-6 cursed. Onan was struck down for the same reason. " Gen.38.11) The Spirit' makes concordance with the Father Son relationship so there is no room for error. The numbers also similarly serves.

    Gen.4.2 "The Good Shepherd" (1 of 2)

"And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground."

Cain was the firstborn as Easau was. In God's will his Son was to be the firstborn of all creation. It the divine Will that set the doctrine. The bone of bones made Adam as a double for his Son. As word was with God, Adam is also set down in the God document in this specific fame of reference. Eve on account of the Word is not merely a woman but as the symbol for the church.

Cain was set apart "That thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the malesshall bethe LORD'S."(Exod.13. 2) This is true as far as Eve is the mother all living.' That is according to the flesh. Cain showed no sympathy beyond the superficials. He took to the task as his father fell back upon after his fall. He did not know the same foreknowledge as he showed when he correctly understood the place ofEve in the God's schme of things. "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh." This revelation came from the breath of God who made him a living soul. Being the firstborn without reverence for the holiness of God he took the line of least resistance. His first offering also smacked of the indifference,'take it or leave it.' Naturally God was not pleased with it as He was with Abel.

"And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering." He was led by the Spirit of Christ so he served as the Good Shepherd, as the double for Jesus Christ. Similarly Seth stepped into the void made by Cain the wicked one. He did not do in a vacuum. In the midst of the throne "stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth." God had set provision for the fulfillment of his divine Will before the worlds began.

Hi Honeybun. Your question relating to Ephesians 1:10 won't give you the answer you seek. That reference, as also the word 'dispensation', found in these other verses: 1 Corinthians 9:17; Ephesians 3:2; Colossians 1:25 has another meaning. In these verses, including Ephesians 1:10, 'dispensation' relates to stewardship, administration, management. What you're asking is about those who are called 'Dispensationalists' and their dividing the whole Bible into several times or epochs of God's dealing with His people Israel & also His Church.

Generally, they believe in seven Dispensations in the Bible; namely, Of Innocence, Conscience, Human Government, Promise, Law, Grace, the coming Millennial Kingdom of Christ. But even this number can vary depending how one reads the Bible. My own understanding or application of this is not absolute or even necessary when the whole Bible is read & understood correctly. The point of difference arises when the question is asked, 'is the Bible to be read literally (allowing of course, for various symbols, figures of speech & types) or non-literally (i.e. the prophecies of old & the message itself of the Bible must be read non-literally & applied as such). So for example, when we read of a thousand years in Revelation chap 20, is that a literal or non-literal number and does that time still lie ahead? Or, the promises of God to Israel (concerning land, many descendants, blessings), are they yet to be fulfilled literally (i.e. Israel is still in God's Plan, though temporarily removed because of unbelief), or should Israel be rejected as God-forsaken and the Church (comprising of saved Jew & Gentile) replace them? How you answer just these two questions, will show how you interpret Scripture and possibly your leanings towards dispensationalism or not.

    Gen.4.26 "Then"

"Then began men to call upon the name of the Lord."

Then as an adverb is referring to 'in the beginning' of Gen.1.1. The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters which as a verb indicates continuation action. Indicative of this we have seven eyes in the vision of St John."and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth."(Rev.5.6) The spirit of Christ for instance before the Advent. There is also a gap theory and this is rooted squarely on the incorruptible word of God, "Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth,"(Jas.5.7) The Great Sower having sown the seed now produces result. All these while we have been studying the generations of heavens and of the earth against the generation of Jesus Christ. In terms of the Law and the law of Moses the Gospel of St Matthew begins with two generation of Abraham and of David respectively. (Matt.1.1)

By the way Anyone in Christ is a new creation. It is thus the everlasting Covenant in Seven days stated in the opening chapters of the book of Genesis must be treated as 'New' covenant. Perfect Atonement in the Son cannot be divided by the Law of Moses or any other.Law of Moses is merely a side show. Yet Christianity has been bedevilled by sects, merely to keep an unholy alliance with Israel, and they must me morally complicit with the famine as a war weapon practised with impunity.

Seth is 'another seed' whose faith is same as that of Jesus Christ as the intercessor. Curiously enough before Jesus began his ministry the great light was a sign for him. The Spirit of God moving upon the waters reached his generation as well."The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up./ From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven."(Mt.4.16-17)

Entering into God's rest means abiding in Christ. The peace that passeth understanding is in his Son. " And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Phili.4.7) My Father worketh hitherto ,and I work. So if you have the Son you have also the Father. From the manner you state it would be same old lie: Judaizers would want the early church to undergo circumcision first and it created a great stir then. Now by abiding in Christ your charity is doing as Christ did in you put your love in action. Without me you can do nothing.

God decreed this day for the Son. So St John on the isle of Patmos seeing visions on the Lord's day means just that. Wvery day should be Sabbath, the Lord's day..

Hello. I had a look at those lyrics but couldn't see that the shepherds had to go to a high altar to speak with God. All it said was that they feared and trembled when the angel chorus rang out above the Earth. Are you reading different lyrics?

God declared the 7th day Sabbath at creation, and in Ex 20, the 4th command. We are instructed not to work on the sabbath, God has never changed the 7th day (Saturday) to the 1st day (Sunday).

The sabbath was changed by the Roman Catholic church *Constantine*. It's a deception

    (1 John Part 18):

1 John 3:7 - Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness, and the word does is a Participle. The one doing righteousness continuously, is righteous, even as He, that is God, is righteous.

Now how in the world can I be as righteous as God is? It's because I have God living inside of me. I have no righteousness of my own, but I have Christ, and I am righteous as He is righteous. If I ever step out of line, He corrects that.

I hope you see the connection. We're talking about lifestyles, and we're talking about walking in a condition that is the same as Jesus because we have Jesus in us living out and walking out the believer's life.

    (1 John Part 17):

1 John 3:4 - Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

The word committeth, an Old English word, is a Participle, the one who is practicing sin is also sinning against the law. Sin is the transgression of God's law. We could think that we're pretty good people, but once we transgress God's law, we're sinners. And once we sin one time, the question is going to be what are you going to do about it? It's on your record!

There isn't anything you can do to erase that sin. It's only through Jesus Christ. So, what are you going to do? A sinner is someone who in their lifestyle practices sin. In Chapter 2 Verses 1 and 2, we saw that a believer commits acts of sin. The believer does not live a continuous lifestyle of sin because they have God's Spirit convicting them. They walk in the light. But a person that doesn't know Christ, they have no conviction. They're walking in their sin.

1 John 3:6 - Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

Whoever abides in Him, that is, in the Lord, does not sin:

Again, the word abides is a Present Participle, abiding. Whoever has Him abiding "is" Present Tense, not sinning, continuously as a habit of life. We're not talking about committing an act of sin. We're talking about committing sin continuously, a lifestyle of not surrendering to Christ.

But this is a condition. Whoever is continuously remaining in Him, does not practice sin, ever! I can never go back and live the old lifestyle I lived before I received Christ. It's impossible. In contrast: Whoever sins, and again that's a Participle. Whoever is continuously sinning has not seen Him, neither have they known Him. That's a pretty bold statement to make!

    (1 John Part 16):

1 John 3:1 - Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons, or children of God:

Some translations say "and we are." We're not just called. We are children of God. That's our calling. God calls us to Himself. And when He responds to us, He calls us His children.

The consequence of being a child of God: Therefore the world knows us not, because it knew Him not. So, the world is not going to understand. They're not going to know.

1 John 3:3 - And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

And every man that has this hope in him is purifying himself, even as He, that is, Jesus is pure.

The term hath (or has) is a Present Participle. The one who is having this hope in him. It shows continuous action, never stopping. Everyone having this hope in him "is," factual statement, is purifying himself, even as Jesus is pure.

I hope you see the connection. Number one, the lifestyle is continuous in this condition. And secondly, it will always be as Jesus is.

You see, that's my condition. As separated as Jesus walks in this world, He is going to cause me to be walking in the same way.

Therefore my condition: I have this hope continuously that when He comes, I'm going to go be with Him and I'm going to see Him just as He is. I'm going to be changed and transformed.

The person that has this hope is purifying himself as Jesus is pure.

So, I've got God's Spirit in me convicting me in that separation that He would have me to go. A person who is not saved does not have that conviction.

    (1 John Part 15):

1 John 2:28 - And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

And now, little children (TEKNIA-little born ones), abide in Him; That's the word remain (MENO). In order that when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at his coming. So, he says abiding and remaining is the key. When Jesus comes, those who are abiding in Him, they will be ready for His coming.

Those who say they belong to Him, but are not abiding in Him, they will be left behind. It's not a performance. In Matthew 24:13, and the way the Greek text says it, it says the one who has endured to the end is the one who is saved. So, endurance is a characteristic, or evidence that a person is saved.

If you stop and think about it, if you receive Christ, and your soul or spirit is sealed by the Holy Spirit, your soul now belongs to Christ. He says He will never leave you nor forsake you. Well, how can we not endure to the end if He's living in us?

He's the one who causes me to endure. In the human I might be weak, but there isn't anything or anyone that's going to take me away from Christ. Not even my own sin is going to take me away from Christ. Nothing will separate me from the love of God.

Please take note of this, that HUPOMENO, remaining under, is a characteristic of one who is saved. They will make it to the end because God will make it through them. It will not be by human performance.

I have heard conflicting information. In the Old Testament, God commands us to not work on the Sabbath and keep it holy. In the New Testament after Jesus has died for us on the cross, there is a new covenant with God. Are we still commanded to not work on the Sabbath?

in the folk classical song " go tell it on the mountain" , the angels come down to the angels to relay that jesus is born to fulfill the prophecy. Why does the song imply that the shepards must then go to the high alter place to speak with god to relay that the christ is born. The song otherwise seems to have other meanings.
