S Spencer, I know this was a reply to Jesse, if I may ask,

The first part of your post I understand and agree, but the sentence that has "habitual sin, so called Christian, overlook the dislike and hate between what supposed to be brethren". Then "3 topics that generate this division".

Do you suggest these three topics creates the so-called Christians or non-Christian? I'm sorry if I don't follow, do you mean, who does not agree with you on these three points or four are so-called Christians or non-Christian and create division?

Can you honestly say you have studied these points; or have you over the years you have accepted them as the truth because that was what you have been taught? Do you test the spirits? Jesus spoke of this in Revelation about the Nicolaitans, that He hated ( Revelation 2:15).

Paul warned ( Colossians 2:8) ( 1 Timothy 4:7). This was the beginning of the dominating Roman Church, made up of Greek philosophers, mythology, and Platonic teaching. Have we gone so far from the simplicity of Christ? Have we put man made doctrines above what scripture says for salvation?

Last question; this is an honest question, do we have to believe in the trinity doctrine as written that is said to be a mystery but now is the basis of Christianity to be saved, has this doctrine replaced the chief corner stone which is Jesus Christ?

If we are dead set on what scripture means, our ears will be closed to the Holy Spirit. You can reply or not, but that is ok, I had to ask, this out of love, if I disagree does not mean I hate.

To better understand the admonition of Jesus to the church of Ephesus, it is helpful to go back to study Paul's epistle to the Ephesians.

Indeed brother Philip, their ungodliness knew no bounds. Even if their many sins as you listed were sufficient for immediate condemnation, their "turning the Grace of God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ" (verse 4), seems to be the hook on which that list hangs.

I think of the condemnation by our Lord in Revelation 2:6,14,15 of the Nicolaitans, from whom these "ungodly men" may well have arisen or at least from under their tutorship. As these men (in Jude), so also were the Nicolaitans, who made mockery of the Grace of God revealed in His Gospel. Believing that marriage was not binding on Christians as it was a human invention, this gave rise to all manner of unnatural unrestrained sexual behaviour. And with the Love & Mercy of God to all men being the foundation of the Gospel, they, without fear of punishment for their sins, literally turned & perverted God's Grace into lasciviousness. And with swelling convincing words, many were led astray, fulfilling fleshly desires & becoming ensnared by Satan. Having done despite to God's Grace, the Holy Character of the Lord God & His Son were so marred & distorted, that it could be well said of them, that they 'denied the Lord & His Christ'. And don't these words allude to the Gnostic teaching at that time, which refuted the belief that deity could unite with flesh? These men spoken of in Jude came in many disguises to believers everywhere, even today, tools of Satan, to weaken & destroy the Body of Christ & the yet the sure promise from Matthew 16:18, is that even "the gates of hell shall not prevail against it".

Thank you for those thoughts brother, on this passage.

Rereading verse 5, "the good works"...

Where do we find these good works (specified) ?
  • S Spencer - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Hi Thomas.

I will give you what I picked up from 2 separate studies. Nicolaitans is 2 Greek words combined that means rule the people. It's where you see those who were in the Church in the clergy would rule over the people.

    Writing to Ephesus

In Revelation 2:6 The Lord had issue the deeds of the Nicolaitans.

Revelation 2:6. But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

By the time we come to Pergamos those deeds became doctrine.

Revelation 2:15. So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

Note: I have no knowledge of Greek.

    do your research.

    God bless.

Hello Estela. Yes, many people have enquired how a good God can permit so much suffering upon us. If He is so good, shouldn't He step in & put an end to sicknesses, diseases, murders, etc.?

I think of it this way: if God did put a stop to these things, then they would only be temporary, since every man, woman & child is born a sinner ( Romans 3:23), & because of our sinful condition, all these things come upon us. When Adam & Eve were created, they were sinless, enjoying God's Presence continually, no sickness, in harmony with animal life around them, & would never see death. But once they disobeyed God & sinned, they lost all that perfection, & they had to hide from God (Genesis chapters 2 & 3).

And ever since, their sinful nature & death was passed upon all of us ( Romans 5:12) & the proof is the way we behave before God & our fellow-man even now. Even the one who murders another is no different to the one who has hate in his heart, according to Jesus ( Matthew 5:21,22). Or the man who cheats on his wife is the same as the one who cheats on his taxes. So all these evil traits that we might have in us are a result of indwelling sin. Yes, God can stop us from doing those evil acts, but evil will always be with us & in our hearts - and this is unacceptable before God.

What God has done, was to give us a new heart & a new spirit so that we won't do those things that come from within ( Matthew 15:19). If our heart is clean & right before God, we won't do evil & hurt one another and that was why He sent His Son to this Earth to give His Life. Jesus paid the price for our sin, which we couldn't pay, & made us acceptable before God & a clean vessel to be used by Him. So in God's Sight, stopping the murder of someone doesn't fix the problem of murder: murder will always happen, whether against someone or in our hearts. The solution to stop them is that they be changed on the inside. But most people refuse His salvation & so evil will continue with so much suffering.

I have been saddened by questions that many people have ask me , and I have tried to answer as much as I

Could but , notice that the people were not satisfied or convince. They asked me if there is a god why is there

So much suffering and pain , why does he permit killings, rapes , and sickness, pain around the world.

They asked if is true God exist why doesn't he stops all this evil.

    Thank you

    Trudy,

Sounds like the Pastors were combining parts of scripture to make a point that every one will have different rewards, some more than others. Some lights will shine brighter than others. Maybe they were considering lights as clothing.

Revelation 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

You are 100% correct. Who else could Mystery Babylon possibly be but America....who else behaves like the daughter of Babylon, mingled with Sodom & Gomorrah?

Christian's must see that we constantly live in the grip of chaos and tyranny? They are the first to say that we live in the end-times, but are too oversold to fully realize what that means. God despises this nation. Isaiah 14:9 cometh:a spot has been reserved for America at the sixth trumpet, the second woe. Revelation 18 awaits.

How many "WATCHMEN" have put God before country? Who has heard what the prophets said about Mystery Babylon, and the merchants of Babylon Proper, sitting across the pond? The answer is very few with the proud saying, "I live in the greatest country ever, and God wouldn't destroy His people". Read it for yourself, God destroys His backsliding people. The house of Israel has become Mystery Babylon, while the house of Judah has become converts of Japheth, Revelation 2:9

The people know no better than support and defend this bully in the name of patriotism. The iron and clay will show no mercy in the hour of thy visitation. When they fan the land, the stubble will defiantly wonder what they possibly did wrong to deserve desolation. On that day, and in that hour, I will die happy knowing that America's NWO was "taken" in their attempt to rule the world from Jerusalem for a thousand years.

    To whom It May Concern

What does "caught up" mean? The original language uses the word HARPADZO which means to be snatched away by force. What is your understanding?

Yes, it will be by force certainly. Revelation 11:v.15 to 18:

15 ... The kingdoms of THIS WORLD (the Devil's world) are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever.

    ...

18 - AND THE NATIONS WERE (WILL BE) ANGRY, and thy wrath is come(GOD's WRATH IS COME), and the time of the dead, that they should be Judged, and that thou(GOD) should give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and should DESTROY them which destroy the earth.

    Revelation 2:v.25 to 29:

25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

28 And I will give him the morning star.

29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

    Be careful and get ready

    P.S.

    Joshua 5:v.13-14

13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?

14 And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come.

There will be War against the world of Devil, in fact it has already started.

    Amen Brother Jesse.

Some get obsessed with a view whether eschatology or what ever it may be and they shape their whole theology around that view!

instead of letting the scripture say what it say.

Naturally they get resistance and spend a lifetime in scripture promoting their views and never attempt to bring people to the Lord.

Some are playing a role in the falling away.

I revelation chapters 1,2,and 3 we see the Lord judging the Church He don't only rebuke those who practice are hold to certain deeds are doctrine but we also see he's against those who suffer them to do so!!

    HERE'S AN EXAMPLE VERSE.

Revelation 2:20. Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, ""BECAUSE THOU SUFFERETH" THAT WOMAN JEZEBEL, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

He's not condemning all of them for committing fornication and sacrificing unto idols. He's condemning those who stand by and suffer those to teach and seduce his servants to do it!! " NO correction and not resistance to the errors. ( They suffer the false teachings)

There is a little of all seven Churches in every Era and those letters is written to everyone in every Era.

Brother David, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

God divides eternity into different AGES. God CAUSES certain things to happen in those AGES.

In the Previous AGE; the AGE of THE LAW and Prophets. God caused THE ONES HE APPOINTED to leave a written record of the AGE TO FOLLOW.

It was written that in the AGE TO COME God would APPOINT (call out) a FEW to be PRIEST in his KINGDOM.

This is what we see now. Most want be called now; BUT there are more AGES to come. Christ and his priest will judge the world and the world will LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS.

    God has a PLAN:

ALL WILL OBEY AND WORSHIP GOD.

Isaiah 32:1 Behold, a king shall rule in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgement.

Psalms 94:15 But judgement shall TURN INTO RIGHTEOUSNESS ....

Proverbs 16:6 By MERCY and TRUTH iniquity is PURGED ...

Psalms 85:10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Psalms 22:29 And they that be fat upon the earth shall eat and worship (first resurrection): and they that go down to the dust (second resurrection) SHALL BOW BEFORE HIM: and none can keep alive his own soul.

Psalms 22:30 A seed (priest) shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation (age).

Psalms 22:31 They (priest) shall come (at the second resurrection), and shall declare his righteousness to a people (at the second resurrection) that SHALL BE BORN (AGAIN) that he hath done this.

Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth MY WORKS unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Revelation 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessel of a potter shall they be broken to shivers, even as I received of my Father.

Revelation 10:11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy AGAIN before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

This is what the parable of Lazarus and the rich man is about.

Revelation 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Luke 6:43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

    3) THE CROWN OF LIFE:

Jesus says that He will give this crown to those who undergo severe hardship, testing, tribulation and/or physical death on His behalf. Probably being willing to die for your faith in God would be the ultimate sacrifice. It is the greatest actof courage and love that you can show God.Christians who have been martyred for their faith throughout history will not only be given this crown of life, but other rewards once they enter into heaven. The Bible says,"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him." James 1:12 God the Father will honour each ones trials and tribulations and thus will be rewarding them accordingly. Look at this verse,"Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." Revelation 2:10

Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endue to the END (times), the same shall be saved.

You say the subject is end times and tribulation.

Did the people 1900 years ago have to consider this verse also. Did they died without Christ; not making it to the end times and tribulation. Whats going to happen to you if you die before the tribulation and the end times come. I don't think you understand End TIME and TRIBULATION.

Jesus was a Hebrew. The 1st man to be called Hebrew was Abram ( Genesis 14:13)

Jesus was Semitic (Shem), with color and tone similar to their Arab cousins

Today's Jews are Ashkenazi ( Genesis 10:2-3) they are 7th century Khazar converts of Japheth. ( Revelation 2:9)

( Genesis 9:27) God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

    Genesis 3:21

"Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them."

In order to make clothing for Adam and Eve, God had to kill an animal, shed it's blood; to make clothes for them.

Because they sinned, their spiritual connection to God was severed. They were flesh and soul. The were prevented from eating of the TREE OF LIFE. If they had, they would've lived eternally in sin.

We see that the TREE OF LIFE was moved to heaven, in the Book of Revelation.

Mankind has lived throughout history, with the knowledge of good and evil; or sin, and separation from God.

    Revelation 2:7

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of TREE OF LIFE, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

    Revelation 22:2

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the TREE OF LIFE, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

    Revelation 22:14

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the TREE OF LIFE, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

In Revelation, the tree of life represents the restoration of the life-giving presence of God. Restored access to the tree of life was made possible by "the second Adam" ( 1 Corinthians 15:44-49), Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for the sins of all humanity.

Repenting from evil/sin is one of the most important things in the Bible. OT and NT. There is nothing else to repent of.

Romans 6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Christ preaching repent and to sin no more: Matthew 4:17, John 5:14, John 8:11.

In Revelation Jesus Christ makes it quite clear He's talking about repenting from sin/evil deeds.

Revelation 2:22-23 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they REPENT OF THEIR DEEDS.

And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am He which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your WORKS.

Read the first three chapters of Revelation to see what Christ is saying to the believers in the seven churches. He doesn't say "just because you believe everything is ok".

True faith in Jesus Christ is more than just believing. Like stated the most evil demonic people can believe in Jesus Christ but live according to the devil.

Faith without works is dead faith. James 2:26.

    God Bless.

To Janet, Sinning without repenting is how you lose your salvation, and yes the Word of God backs this up! Revelation 2:5 (Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.) There is a lot of false prophets that will tell you, no matter what you do once saved always saved, but God said in Ezekial 33:12 (Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.) Read that entire chapter, and listin to the Lord and believe him! God bless.

    Hi Tom.

He here the Lord with the inner ear.

The Lord speaks to his "CHURCH" by the spirit.

REVELATION 2:29. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

JOHN 10:27. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

HEBREWS 1:1-2. God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

    Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

If God decides to speak Audible it would take the spirit to reveal truth.

The inner ear is the work of the Holyspirit revealing that truth.

We have to be cautious of seeking an experience whether by sight or hearing or miracles and rely on faith in God's word.

Hebrews 11:1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Israel seen and heard "As a Nation " and received external blessings and miracles, deliverance, Promises, and the Gospel.

Hebrews 4:2. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with ""FAITH"" in them that heard it.

    God bless.

    Revelation 2:4

Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love (Jesus).

It means return to your first love when you First met Jesus. Tell him you've grown cold. Tell him you've entertained other loves. Repent to your God for not loving him as he deserves. He stands ready to forgive and restore. Your High Priest will sympathize with you, therefore, "Let us come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" ( Hebrews 4:16, KJV).

Amazingly, God calls us to return to where we once fell. He does not call us to make up for lost time and be a mile ahead of where we used to be. He calls us back to that fresh fire of love towards him and neighbors. It is a call to action. It is a call to return to the habits of grace. It is a command to keep ourselves in the love of God ( Jude 21).
