Insight; the history of the "City of the Great KING" is on account of her inhabitants, who have consistently rejected with contempt any and all of God's servants that He sent to her; "How often would I have gathered your children together...and YOU WOULD NOT!" But one thing we always find in the Bible around these things is that in the end God WILL have His way with Israel and they WILL convert!

V35, Jesus is teaching an important lesson. He does not say Jerusalem is Gods city but the city of a great king. A king that defines what is religion and law. Jerusalem has been destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, captured and recaptured 44 times.
All of earth is Gods real estate. What is holy to God is the LIFE God placed on a lifeless planet. Kings kill the life God creates.

The desire of the Holy Ghost is to deny the flesh with the mind of Christ to always please the Father. Even though the flesh considers perfection impossible it is Christ Jesus who reminds us that salvation itself is impossible and it is only made a reality by God. Who leads us to repentance, and by his word we receive faith to obey his will to be born again so then our morals can be very good.

"...so the whole world can see it and want to know what is it that we have that they don't have and they will want to be delivered..." My experience, I'm sorry to say, has never been like that. It was never because I wanted what some Church-people had, that I didn't; that I came to repentance! It was because my real danger was my sins, and my [imagined] life without God, and the Word which I heard

Insight (cont.); The mother of Jesus was required under the Law to bring a sacrifice to atone for her uncleanness after giving birth. The uncleanness is related to the blood, and our unfitness as a species before God, on account of the alienation and ruin of our nature through sin. Because Mary and Joseph were poor, they were permitted to bring two young doves or pigeons. Matthew 5:17-19

Bruce u are so right we the True Believer of God we are the light of the World we Cannot hide our light we must let it shine so the whole world can see it and want to know what is it that we have that they don't have and they will want to be delivered from their sins because of the love that we have shown to them and the way we live our lives thats how God want his Children to live here.

Secondly; Jesus NEVER said or taught that anyone should abandon Moses, nor even the authority of the Rulers of Israel. Matthew 23:1-3 Jesus clearly and unmistakably charged that we do all things for God's honor. Matthew 5:17-19; John 5:47 The Law of Moses is for teaching us the nature and character of holiness and love and righteousness; so we can learn to be like our Father in heaven.

This chapter is not in parables but spoken as law, in commandment form. As God spoke to Moses only, for the people were in fear, so too did Jesus spoke to those with ears to hear. Jesus absorbed the scriptures, for he spoke of fulfilling the law and not creating a new law. So I do as well, immersing myself in the old and new, for both are relevant. We must love no matter what and be forgiven

Matt.7:13. V.14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way which leads to life (eternity in His Kingdom) and few there be that find it." Matthew 20:16 and 22:14 "For many are called, but few chosen." God calls them to salvation, but does not chose them. Also; Matthew 5:17:20

i am: Blessed are ye,when men shall revile you and persecute you and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Matthew 5:11 /--- The servant is not greater than his Lord if they have persecuted me they will also persecute you--- John 15:20 / Enter ye in at the strait gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction--- Matthew 7:13

we are to love all, even thy enemy as he says in matthew 5:43-48 and in luke 6:27 -36 if our Lord did then so should we and pray for them, those that walk in sinful ways pray for them, you cant be consumed with hatred and live in the light of the Lord, you cant live praising yourself as well for good things you do, you must be humble, walk in faith, except Christ as your savior , repent your sins

It's interesting that in this whole chapter - Jesus was teaching only His disciples, and not the multitudes as He usually was in a monologue this long.

Pro. 18:24 - song, "Just to walk with Him" - "My steps had led me far away, Sometimes I wondered why, They had taken me down lonely roads, Beneath the darkened sky, But every time I lost my way, He sought me out, He took my hand and said He'd walk with me." Throughout the scriptures, God demonstrates His willingness to compensate for our lack; Ps. 23.

Mark:When you feel The Father tug on your Heart:John6:44 / ask forgiveness: 1John 1:9 / Jesus will wash away your sins in his own blood Revelation1:5 / you will be Baptized with The Holy Ghost: Matthew 3:11 / you will know!: 2Corinthians 5:17 / you will be Sealed: Ephesians 1:13 / Satan will try to destroy you! Get dressed for battle! Ephesians 6:11 / you will be persecuted: Matthew 5:11 / .

Jn. 16:33; Matt. 5:45; Acts 7:59; 16:23; These refer to tribulation (trials) in this life. There will be 'some' saints in Rev.13:7 who will go thru the GREAT tribulation; I haven't r'cvd. clarification on that yet. I KNOW tho' that I will not be one of them because they become saints DURING the GREAT tribulation; how? I don't know; I just take it by faith. A saint NOW will be raptured.

The darkness of this world is getting darker! You can feel the darkness, in the news and the towns and cities, in the neighborhood and the Churches are turning dark. We,who are cleansed by The Blood (Revelation1:5) are "THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD". (V:14) If they don't see The Light in us!??? WE: THE LIGHT OF THE World are the only LIGHT they will see. Stay trimmed, keep full of oil. Preach the gospel

THIS ARE THE GOOD WORKS OF CHARITY, DO YOU REMEMBER THE GOOD SAMARITAN?, THE SERMON ON THE MOUNTAIN SAYS BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFULL who delights in doing good to those in need , PEOPLE SHOULD SEE IT AND PRAISE GOD.

That is a true reflection of a Christ like behavior, therefore, we need to shine like stars all the time.

Indeed we are the light to the world.we need to shine so that our father is glorified through our works. Let's ask for God's Grace to do his Will.

Our good Christian conduct and deeds should be visible to others so that we may bring praise and glory to Jehovah God.

JESUS IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD! My God is protection from the world. Each day I will walk in the light of Jesus Christ. No matter what, I will serve the Lord!

Let your light so shine before men that they me see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven Thank you Jesus for your word. I believe you that you are the Light of the World Help me Lord and guide me with your word to inspire others so that I will be their light and thru me they will hear your words that will enlighten them. Thank you Jesus for the blood you shed for us Amen

This is what Jesus want his children to do while following the Ten Commandment but we must believe all of The word of God from the beginning to the End

This chapter of the book of Matthew is the working manual for all practicing Christian and a check list of your standing in your walk with the master. the lord help us all to remain watchful and commited in the face of the present day water down Christianity.

I BELIEVE THIS IS A VERY FIRM AND DIRECT TEACHING THAT ALL CHRISTIANS MUST OBEY.

The sermon on the mount is the essential teaching of this world. It us neither christian or jew ir muslim but universal. What shall we as humans do to merit the favor of God? This chapter should be read and understood iften as well as the other books of the bible. Their is no ither place that I know of where it is so clearly truth being spoken. Who will hear and perform these verses?
