You wrote, "Thats y the lord was so upset with Peter as Peter was in essence saying the blood was insufficient they needed water baptism". The Lord 'was upset' not because Peter negated the efficacy & sufficiency of Christ's Blood sacrifice, but that Peter had rejected the fact that Gentiles could also be partakers of the Holy Ghost, & the vision was to show that "what God had cleansed, that call not thou common". Nothing to do with water baptism. He then clarified this in Acts 11 to the other apostles & believers in Jerusalem & they together "When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life". (11:18).

You wrote, "Thats y Paul said i thank God that i baptised none of you, Paul knew that water baptism wd make the CROSS th BLOOD OF NO EFFECT". If you read the passage again, Paul was upset that there were cliques forming as certain folk followed after some of the big names. So Paul said what he said, in case some would think that he was so great that water baptism was being done in Paul's name & by his authority & not what Jesus had prescribed. ( 1 Corinthians 1:12-16).

If you deny the necessity of water baptism, post Cross & post reception of the Holy Spirit, you have to deny what Jesus ordained in Matthew 28:19 & what all the apostles believed was necessary as shown in many Scriptures. I'm unsure from where you develop your ideas: there are definite Truths in what you write, but it seems that your interpretations which clearly are outside the revealed Scriptures, formulate your ideas. And that is a dangerous practise.

In reference to "why do Churches baptize in the Name of the Trinity?" They use Matthew 28:19 as their directive for doing so. Though I suppose, given the use of the Name of Jesus only for baptising (as according to the portions you have cited), then this too would be appropriate because of apostolic/early Church precedent.

The Letter to the Hebrews is essentially the author's goal to demonstrate the superiority of Jesus Christ & therefore, of Christianity, to the prophets (1:1-3), to the angels (1:4-2:18) and to Moses (3:1-6). The rest of the letter gives Christ's superiority by His Priesthood (5:1-10:39) and by His Own Power (11:1-13:19).

But looking at Hebrews 1:4: Jesus status as the Son of God was a far greater status to that of angels. To no angel did God say, "Thou art My Son, this day have I begotten Thee". And when the First begotten came into the world, God said, "And let all the angels of God worship Him". This the Hebrews writer took from Psalm 97:7 and Deuteronomy 32:43, from the Septuagint version, though not in the Hebrew/KJV. So the Name of Jesus, as also His Divine Birth, made Him far greater than that of angels, which some might have proposed Him to be ranked with. And this Jesus came in "the brightness of God's Glory & the express Image of His Person, after He Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right Hand of the Majesty on High" ( Heb 1:3). I don't see from these Scriptures, or anywhere else, that Jesus ever took on the Person of the Father, rather at present He is seated beside Him in Heaven. Are you thinking of a Scripture when suggesting "Jesus inherits his name from his father which was Kept Secret in the Old Testament but revealed in the New Testament"?

    God bless you brother Albert

I agree with you 100%. It is not often that you hear someone saying the great truth that Jesus Christ is the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. May I ask where did you learn this?

For me, I listened to the preaching of William Branham to get the revelation of baptism. Oh what a wonderful time that was in my life! Being filled with truth - and knowing that you know it is Thus Sayeth The Lord. Hallelujah!

    Peace & Love in Christ

The Great Commission of Matthew 28:19 is one of the greatest commands in the Bible. Jesus told his disciples to "GO". We are to go therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the HolyGhost. Baptism is essential. If it were not, Jesus would not have given us this command. We Must baptize by immersion, the way they did it in biblical times, in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and HolyGhost. Father, Son, and HolyGhost are not a single name. So what is the name of the Father, and what is the name of the Son, and what is the name of the HolyGhost. Jesus said in St. John 17:6 that He manifested the name of the Father to the world. Colossians clearly tells us that all of Godhead rest in Jesus( Colossians 2:9). Therefore, we are to be baptized in the Name of Jesus. None of the apostles baptized using the titles Father, Son, and HolyGhost. They understood the Great Commission that He gave them. Jesus is the Name of the Father, Son, and the HolyGhost. He is the Father in creation. All things were made by Him(John1:3). He is the Son in redemption; for without the shedding of blood, there would be no remission of sin. God is a Spirit. The invisible God became visible in flesh(John1:14; Isaiah 40:3; 1Timothy3:16; Revelation 1:13; Colossians 2:9, etc) Jesus is the HolyGhost that fell on believers in the upper room ( Acts 2:4). No one in biblical times was baptized any other way--except in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. This Great Commission is going all over the world. Jesus is the Messiah, He is the name of Savior of the world. Neither is there salvation in any other for there is no other name under heaven given whereby we must be saved( Acts 4:12). Therefore, we must adhere to the words of the Great Commission given by our Savior and go into the world baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the HolyGhost. Teaching them to observe all things, and lo I am with you even unto the end of the world

  • Praying For Family and Others on Jeremiah 34:19 - 4 years ago
When we begin to pray in earnest for family and friends; it feels weird. We don't have confidence in our abilities. Satan doesn't want you to pray! Fight against FEELINGS. The first consideration is the realization that one of God's greatest desires is the salvation of all mankind. God's desire is clearly stated.

The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19 says, Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.

This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth ( 1 Timothy 2:3-4).

It is God's desire that all should be saved. He loves you so much that He gave His one and only son as a ransom to pay for our sins.

    Overcoming Spiritual Blindness & Deafness.

We should, we must, pray for the Salvation of others. What we are doing is asking God to move in their lives. Jesus said that He came to "seek and to save the lost" ( Luke 19:10). Jesus does the seeking and the Holy Spirit opens their heart. If you want to see someone's heart healed and their eternal future secured, you must be praying. Pray helps open the door to Jesus. Jesus taught that we "ought always to pray and not lose heart" ( Luke 18:1).

Turn off all the media, so we can pray and hear The Holy Spirit.

If it is God's desire that all should be saved, then why are so many people still unsaved? 2 Corinthians 4:4 tells us the god of this world [the devil] has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

To be saved you must repent. Live repentance. Baptism is an outward showing of spiritual commitment to Jesus Christ. One can be baptized by a preacher but still may not turn away from sin and live in repentance. Being baptized by a man is one thing, being baptized by the Holy Spirit is another.

Many (different groups)argue and debate this but if you read the Bible Jesus speaks specifically on this. The KJV Study Bible also includes commentary on the subject.

I find baptism to be very important for personal reasons. Feeling a literal washing away of sin through water. Though, the Holy Spirit will baptize your heart where no water can touch.

    Be baptized and live repentance.

He said, many ravenous wolves will come among you, even now. He also said even now there are many anti-Christs. Paul was concerned for his brothers and sisters, but more for God's sake. He knew things were going to get really bad. in 70, the siege of Jerusalem, 100-300 the age of martyrs. 330-600 the age of the emperor's control on the church. If you were a follower of anything deemed "Jewish like" that includes praying, tithing to your pastor and not the empire, keeping Sabbath on a day not set by the Romans, refusing to fight in expansionist wars, reading the old testament, etc... you could be put to death, and it happened often. Then came 600-700, the age of the schism. People know about Greece and Rome, orthodox vs catholic, but they don't know about Bulgaria and Maphyiastite. Bulgaria kept a 7th day sabbath and Kosher, Maphyiastite didn't believe in trinity or state control of the church. they were hunted as heretics. 700-900, the Muslim invasion of Europe and Rome, as well as the "heathen invasion of Rome proper". Then came 900-1000 vikings, then 1000-1400 Crusades, where the name of God was vilified even more. Then came the "renaissance" when they started saying, "well, God didn't mean that." Not to mention Dante's inferno and that heretical piece of garbage that was used to scare people away from hell and into "heaven". Then there was the age of discovery and the "evangelizing" of America. Again, God's name was vilified and tarnished by people claiming to love him. Then the reformation happened and a huge war that claimed a million Christians on both sides. Then the Cossacks eradicated the Jews and Gypsies from Russia in "God's name". Then WW1, then WW2. Christians have been through a lot, and a lot of it was because of wolves and anti-christs that rose up within the midst.

I'll give you one better, why don't people follow his commandment to "call none father except our father in heaven?" Or one better still, why was the martyr Antipas( rev 2) called that? his name literally means anti-pater, or father. But he was very obviously godly. So what father was he being "anti" to? Then, when did Pastors start being called Father's? We are called to be Judges, and that isn't only as in law judges, but like the book. In Judges they're called Deliverers of the people. But there's an issue with it, in Judges things get really bad really quick. Judges is summed up by the last verse, "in those days there was no king in Israel, every man did what was right in their own eyes." Many Christians have no king, so they do what is right in their own eyes. So, that is the answer to your question.

The fishers of men is in Matthew 4:18

Four of Jesus's disciples were fisherman: Peter , Andrew and Brothers James and John.

Talking of the five fold Ministry comes from Ephesians 4:11. The Holy Spirit gives gifts to the Church as He Wills; with signs following. Men cannot appoint themselves.

We can all pray for the Holy Spirit to give us his gifts. 1 Corinthians 12. ( 1 Corinthians 12:28 ). 1 Peter 4:7-11

You will know if Jesus calls you to minister.

Find the chapter on the body of Christ. We're all part of that.

He called me. I sprinted out to Street and made a fool of me. I crawled home. After a while the Lord said: are you through doing it your way? ( such a quiet, non- judgmental voice) I said YES!! He will be our Teacher.

    May God bless you. Mishael

My comments on the Godhead which is an expression of the kingdom of God a SPRITUAL KINGDOM .Its simply Father Son and Granson just like Abraham issac and Jacob Thats y God gave us this picture of Abraham Issac and Jacob and the nation of Israel to show us a greater then abraham's seed was coming thru the blood, a greater then natural Israel, an Israel born of the spirit in humanity,GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD ETC. Thats what abraham means exaulted father ,Its really God the Father that wants a posterity like Abraham wanted many children, Jesus was just his 1st born But ya gota realize that God Almighty made a Promise to Christ that he was gonna multiply his seed as the stars of heaven his Word being his Seed THUS AN ISRAEL OF GOD GRANCHILDREN OF GOD ALMIGHTY HIS POSTERITY. A little one shall become a 1000 and a small one a strong nation I the Lord will hasten it in its Time Thats y we have this precious parable of the sower and his Seed the Word and Jesus tells us the good seed are the children of the Kingdom. The sun nor any heat does lite on them simple b/c they are spirits as Jesus said that which is born of the spirit is spirit thats the H.G. THE CHILD OF Promise. When a seed dies it Multiplies. Smite the shephard and the sheep will be scattered then i will turn my hand to the little ones which are his offspring the H.G. PLURAL, GONA BE AS THE STARS OF HEAVEN God Almighty swore by his veryself when he made this PROMISE AND ITS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO LIE.Thats y he said whosoever receiveth one such child in my name receiveth me, The child he set in their mists was prophetic of this Child coming. When he breathe on them he was impregnating them with his word his seed etc. Thats y he said b/c i have spoken these Words unto you sorrows have filled your hearts, sorrows imply a spritual pregnancy but he said after your child comes your sorrows will be turned into Joy. They were being bornagain of the spirit, they were birthing CHRIST IN THEIR LIVES THE SON OF MAN .Th Granson

People's Bible Notes for Matthew 5:13

Mt 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth. Salt preserves from corruption. The disciples of Christ preserve the world from general corruption. Whatever becomes utterly corrupted is doomed to be destroyed. But if the salt have lost its savour. Salt is worthless if it has lost its qualities. It preserves no longer. It is fit only to be cast out and trodden under foot. So, too, if those who are the salt of the earth cease to communicate saving power, they are fit only to be cast out, and Christ will cast such out of his mouth. See Revelation 3:16.

Psalms 8 v 2 My comments about the babes and sucklings Jesus ( spoke of a new born ) The babes and sucklings are our new innerman that have to be born in US via his seed the Word, whosoever receives one child in my Name receives Me, unless ya receive the Kingdom of God as a lil child you you will in no wise enter there in. Outa of the mouths of babes and sucklings thou has PERFECTED PRAISE, HUMANS cannot praise God like he wd like simply b/c our praise is full of satanic worry that y we must be bornagain of an incorruptible seed even by the words of God. We need to birth a new heart and a new spirit which is the H.G. A NEW INNERMAN which answers to the new earth and new heaven. That our Enemy might be stilled which is our old admaic nature in rank with satan. Remember when they argued which was the greatest Jesus took a Child and set him in their mist trying to tell em the greatest was the H.G. tHE MANCHILD THAT IS GONA RULE AL NATIONS that HAD TO BE BORN IN THEM VIA THAT GOOD SEED THE WORD. That new born BABE desiring the sincere milk of the word is the H.G. THATS y he is saying that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit Thats the H.G. our new heart and new spirit CHRIST in us the Hope of Glory. There is a babe coming in your life that can PRAISE HIM PERFECTLY. When Isaiah saw the Kingdom coming he said unto us a child is born unto us a son is given, the seed of the sower are the seeds of the kingdom that ARE gonna be sown in the hearts of everybody, Jeremiah saw everybody in travail and birth pains,we are gonna birth a baby Christ IN OUR HEARTS AND MINDS AND EVERY FACET OF OUR BODY.Thats y bro. Paul spoke of the whole world being travail for the manifestation of the sons of God.IF I be lifted up i will draw ALL MEN unto me.Thus there is a precious child in your future which is the H.G. A CHILD OF THE KINGDOM, THAT CHILD THAT KNOWS EVERYTHING THE CHILDREN OF PROMISE WHICH ARE THE ISRAEL OF GOD. If ya wanna praise him perfectly ya must birth Christ in your life. gbu

This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ, not by water only, but by water and blood.

And it is the Spirit that beareth witness because the Spirit is truth.

    1 John 5:7

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost and these three are one.

    1 John 5:8

And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood, and these three agree in one.

Calm down. Jesus was speaking to his disciple who had been a fisherman by occupation.

Jesus invited him to be shown how to "fish" for peoples souls.

The word Apostle means, one who has seen the person of Jesus Christ; the Son of Man.

The office of an Apostle, works as touching the 5-fold Ministry of: Apostle, prophet, teacher, pastor, evangelist. Also, someone once said to me that 'pastor' is positioned on the ring finger because it involves full time shepherding of Jesus's sheep and baby lambs.

If you open your hand: the thumb is the apostle. Using the thumb it can reach out and touch each of the other 4 fingers.

The Apostle can minister in any of the other offices.

My take: Jesus would like us to be versatile by nature. He had to do it this way because someone is always going to bark, "That's Not My Job!."

We are all called to follow Jesus and DO the work of an evangelist.

Personally: I don't have cable and I watch very little television. My computer is 1 year old and hasn't been used yet. I have an unproven theory that if we watch too much tv, our rears rebel and move around to the front. :D

I'm just saying we have time to read the Bible. It goes much faster if you'll buy a Strongs concordance; a commentary; maybe a dictionary. How's your Bible appetite?

I love Jesus! First time I saw that he evaded Satan all over the place and Satan could only focus on murdering the Son of God! Satan forgot all about Genesis 3:14-15 prophesy. When that spear cut into Jesus's side, He had already died. Satan didn't get to cheer :( Then when Jesus came walking out of the tomb: He bruised Satans head (I hope he knocked him out) and Jesus took the Keys and went to hell, preached salvation, opened the cells and led everybody in there out, in the streets and into Paradise. He then met up with both Marys because they were over at the Empty Tomb.

This is the Mighty Son of God that we worship! He is worthy to be praised & adored.

Verse 19. This is where most christians trip up. It didnt say NAMES it said name. So therefore the Trinity is a heretical idea. And the Bible warns us.
