The Ten Commandments apply today. The (just) are free from their condemnation. (2nd death)

God's (Moral Law) make the arrest

    The Gospel sets us free.

Matt. 10:14 (example) Many trample the pearl of grace. Until they see God as a righteous judge,

For them Gods law commands their attention.

Luke 8:17 For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known & come to light.

Have you ever lied? hated? Lusted? Stole anything? Had sex out side of marriage. Wild imaginations?

What do you call someone who lies? What do you call someone who steals? What is someone called who uses Gods name as a cuss word?

Let's be legalistic. An empty stomach lust for food. Is that sin? Of course not. But

Jesus said whoever looks at another with lust (seizing them with wild imaginations) has already committed adultery with that person in their heart. Forget others, You're in big trouble.

Rev. 21:8 But the fearful, & unbelieving, & the abominable, & murderers, & whoremongers, & sorcerers,& idolaters, and ((all liars)) shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

    Now back to court....

Telling an honest judge in a court of law you're sorry won't set you free

and you can bet it won't work when we're summoned to stand the living God either.

The wage for our sin must be paid. ((Death))

The bible speaks of only two types of people.

    The just and the unjust.

At our judgment reward will be given & taken away.

But God will throw the book at the unjust. (second death)

    1 Cor. 15:1-4 Salvation in a nutshell

Acts 17:30-31 God calls all people to repent (turn from unbelief) & warns Christ will (Judge) the world!

Praise God earth is not home of those justified by the finished work of the cross!

The "Just" have been justified by the blood of the Lamb. We have confidence!

1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have ((boldness)) in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world!

    To MISHAEL,

Please consider the following as you follow after an image of a false god and a false Christ.

God unites His people (the believers) by His Spirit ( John 4:24; Eph. 4:3-6,13).

Luke 9:56. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them.

    Matthew 11:6. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me ( Isa. 8:14; Matthew 13:57; 24:10; 26:31; Rom. 9:32; 1 Cor. 1:23; 2:14; Gal. 5:11; 1 Peter 2:8).

John 3:19. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Luke 11:22. But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

1 John 4:4-6. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he than is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice ( John 8:47; 18:37).

You search the scriptures for in them ye think that ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life ( John 5:39,40).

He that is spiritual judgeth (discerneth) all things, yet he himself is judged by no man ( 1 Cor. 2:15).

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true ( Proverbs 1:7; 10:8,21; 12:15; 13:20; 14:9; 16:22; 18:2; 20:3; 29:11; Luke 18:10-14; Cor. 1:20; 2:14; 15:36).

We regret that you are not able to understand any of the above ( 1 Cor. 2:14; 2 Cor. 7:10). Notwithstanding: Seek and ye shall find ( Matthew 7:7).

Don't let your self-righteousness stand in the way of your salvation ( Romans 10:2-4).

    To CARLETON

The messages we post each are indeed according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him ( John 14:17). Please note the word 'cannot'.

We speak with a clear conscience towards God and toward men ( Acts 24:16), and we say the truth in Christ, we lie not, our conscience also bearing us witness in the Holy Ghost ( Romans 9:1).

The time has come when it must be said: You are a follower of an image of a false god and a false Christ and if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; 2 Cor. 11:13-15; Rev. 12:9).

The comments you post are misleading, empty and without basis or spiritual wisdom and knowledge. With great swelling words you speak of God's love, but we know you, that ye have not the love of God in you ( John 5:42). When we say we know you, it means 'spiritually'. The believers judge after the spirit of man ( John 8:15).

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is everyone that is born of the Spirit ( John 3:8).

Only through 'True Repentance' will God be able to reveal Himself, and adopt you as His sons and daughters ( Rom. 8:15,23; 2 Cor.6:18; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5; Hebr. 12:5; 1 John 3:1).

The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).

You are of the world: therefore do you speak of the world and the world hears you ( John 4:4).

We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth and the spirit of error (1 John 4:6; Isaiah 8:20).

  • Confessing Jesus With The Mouth - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 4:16 - 4 years ago
If they had confessed their belief in Jesus to you or others; that's what matters. Read these scriptures and be at peace in your heart about it. We don't hear what people pray in the middle of the night, alone in their bed. So, Believe the best.

    Matthew 10:32

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

    Luke 12:8

Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

    Romans 10:9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

    1 John 4:15

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

    John 12:42

Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

    Romans 14:11

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

    Philippians 2:11

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

    Revelation 3:5

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

    Romans 15:9

And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.

    John 9:22

These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

    1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

    AntiChrist Scriptures

    1 John 2:18

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

    1 John 2:22

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

    1 John 4:3

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

    2 John 1:7

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a Deceiver and an antichrist.

Hello, there's nothing in the Bible saying to not use a musical instrument, but it does say the opposite. David played the harp: 1 Samuel 16:23

Psalm 150:3-4 - Says to worship with trumpet, harp, psalms, timbrell, stringed instruments, organ.

Instruments will be in heaven too- harps. Rev 15:2-3

It says worship in spirit and truth: John 4:23.

Playing an instrument is like serving and sometimes is hard to focus on worshipping God. But the same thing can happen if you're the leader singing, or if you're in audience reading notes or spacing out. So, I think there's a case for each where we need to make sure its done in spirit and truth and done to glorify God, not ourselves or some other purpose. God bless...

John 4. Salvation is of the Jews......

My understanding is that we all come from one father and mother, Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden.

Eden is described in its location by rivers that flowed out of it and encompassed nations. I leave that to the

    Geographers and archeologists to debate.

I believe that Adam - the first Adam in reference to our Lord Jesus was a Jew. We simply have to obey God when he speaks, love the Jews, love Jerusalem. "They shall prosper that love thee". "I will hate those who hate thee and bless those who love thee". We cannot hate our ORIGIN AND WHERE WE COME FROM.

The world finds it hard to understand this but the holy spirit reveals it to the people of God. Though I am a black African by ethnicity, I am a Jew. My father is Abraham and mother Sarah and I am fed with the heritage of my father Jacob. The mouth of God has spoken it. Amen.

    On 1 JOHN 4:7.

By nature every person is born in sin through the sinful seed of their natural fathers and conditioned therein ( 1 Peter 1:23). For that reason and in order to become a son of God, which are born of God, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God, a person must be 'Born Again' ( John 1:12,13; 3:3-7; 1 John 3:9; 5:4).

By attending a man-made institution a few hours a week ( Acts 7:48; 17:24), does not mean that a person can make a claim that they are followers of Christ and 'Born Again'. That is falsehood, as in truth they follow after an image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; Rev. 12:9). This is how Satan has transformed Himself into an angel of light ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15).

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9), and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( John 14:17).

You need not that any man teach you ( Isaiah 54:13; 6:45; 1 John 2:27), It is only by revelation of God that you will come to know Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1). It is a narrow way that leadeth unto 'Life', and few there be that find it ( Matthew 7:14).

    How is Jesus God?

    God is God.

Jesus is the SON of God.

When Jesus called His Father "God" He was referring to Psalms 22, which He was teaching to the people present there. He was not complaining.

Jesus was NEVER forsaken by God.

What do we do with all Scripture that speaks of BOTH the Father and the Son? Matthew 11:27, 16:27, Mark 8:38, 13:32, Luke 1:32, John 3:35, Galatians 4:6, Hebrews 1:5, 1 John 4:14, etc. etc. etc.)

Scripture does not say "In the name of the Father, the Father, and the Holy Ghost." Matthew 28:19

God is Spirit. There are MANY scriptures on God being seen. If you read it slowly, you will see the description is in imagery.

Go get some pen & paper and write down these scriptures; then you can read them and picture God in your heart when you pray.

    John 1:18, John 6:46, John 5:37

    1 John 4:12, 1 John 3:6, 1 John 4:20

    1 Timothy 1:17, 1 Timothy 6:16

    Luke 1:31-32, Matthew 22, Romans 1:20

    Philippians 2, Hebrews 1:1-13,

    Colossians 1:15

    Deuteronomy 4:12, 15. Exodus 3:6

    Exodus 33:20-23

    Isaiah 38:11, Isaiah 64:4

    Job 9:11, Job 35:14, Job 23:8

This is a ps from me: if you have "pictures of God" (some artist imagined) in your home? You need to get rid of them,

According to Exodus 20. That's not a photograph of God and is considered to be a graven image. Crosses on the wall is ok, but not images.

I have 1 still life painting of a bowl of fruit and a pitcher of water. It makes me think of eating a meal with Jesus.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Hi again Warren, I believe a misanthrope can be saved, indeed Christ's salvation is available to all. We realize that when one repents of specific sins or even of a nature given to a propensity to do evil, then the Lord forgives, gives new birth by His Spirit, & power to overcome & live this new life. There will times of failing, as we all do because of still having to live in sinful flesh with the old Enemy knocking at our door, but the overwhelming desire of the believer is to be an overcomer & please the Lord in every area of our lives.

1 John 4:20 gives a telling message: "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?" I realize that this isn't specifically directed to a misanthrope rather to a person who claims to be a believer & loving God, yet holds anger & hatred for another. However, the spirit behind that hatred is evident & which boils down to: 'one cannot claim to love God & hate another: the two emotions can't dwell together'. I realize that a misanthrope has a much deeper mental issue for him to feel that way (& maybe it has come about because of the circumstances that prevailed upon him), but God is in the business of dealing with hard cases & He can give a full healing that always accompanies His full salvation.

Please pray for my friend Kiran, and her three sons, Ari, Ryan, & Naran; that they may be safe, and that the boys have the fire of the Holy Ghost ignite in their hearts, and so desire to live a Christian life. Please help them to find salvation, and to be zealous, like their parents. Please pray for their spiritual and physical protection.

Please pray for Kiran, and her friend , Saroj, that their ministry will prosper, and grow, and lead many to salvation. That it may be protected from attacks from the enemy. Please pray for Saroj's ageing husband, that he comes to salvation, and that his last days are comfortable. Please pray for them that they will be blessed to always have sufficient for their needs.

    According to Luke 13:12 - 17; Luke 12:51 - 53; John 3:all; John 4:13,14; Psalm 23; Psalm 1; Psalm 2; Psalm 91;

    Chris,

Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16: 22-24 It is an offense to the Lord for us to live

    according to the soul.

Romans 16:19-20 Be wise about what is good, Innocent about what is evil. 1 Corinthians 13:2 You're nothing without love. 1John 4:8 God is Love.

You're right about both trees being in the midst of the garden. I just focused on this chapter.

We can keep from being beguiled by the devil by loving.

    1 John 4:8

"He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love

    1 Corinthians 13:2

"And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing."
