I believe that Jesus is the Son of God . I live and believe in Jesus the Son of God and know for a fact that He is my Lord and Saviour therefore I shall not die. "I believe. " I Praise God for His salvation that He has given me through Jesus Christ. My body will die but the real man in me will live forever with my heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus wept due to my sins and the sins of the world
  • Pastor Ryan Sheppard on John 11:35 - 11 years ago
Jesus wept goes all the way back to the garden of Eden where mankind first disobeyed God 's explicit instructions and encompassed all the sins including the obvious sin of unbelief surrounding Him at that present time knowing Jesus is God knowing Jesus knew He would soon offer Himself up to pay for every sin past, present and future, plus, He wept over the loss of the life of Lazuras which highlights for us just how real God 's love is for us and totally explains God 's grace. God does NOT want any of us earthlings to perish. We all have a free will choice and Jesus weeping proves this, for God would never have wept if He ultimately wanted Lazuras to die. Jesus allows everything to happen that happens for the betterment of His true believers. So why make our Lord weep? Instead learn from John 11 35 and bring to life a greater witness and testimony for our Lord Jesus Christ.

Like Paul tells us in Thessalonians, we will "meet " the Lord in the air. They went out to meet Jesus..Remember "A day with the Lord is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day "..Jesus, upon hearing Lazarus was sick abode 2 days in the same place. Indeed, he has known we are sick for 2 thousand years.Upon reaching Lazarus he removes the "stone "...the law. He raises Lazarus as he will raise all his flock. He had been dead for a total of 4 days. 4000 under the law, and now 2000 under his grace. 6000 years total. All that is left is a 1000 year, or seventh day of the week, on the day a thousand year clock. There are more parallels here, and it is a chapter worthy of much study, as they all are.

I like the story. I like the way Jesus chose to reveal himself. Jesus have a way to let people glorify him and his father. He has proven that he is the son of God and he and his father are one. He always consult with his father. Martha, Mary, the Jews and the disciples they all had to know that Jesus is truly the resurrection and the life. Jesus does things on his time. Amen...all we as christian have to do only believe and we shall live. The main reason for Lazarus 's death, and he Jesus did not come when he was inform that his friend was sick, is to be glorified. He showed his disciples and the Jews that he is the son of God, and the resurection and the life.

  • John Rankin on John 11:26 - 11 years ago
Jesus is saying I am the Resurrector, the One who raises the dead back to life. I am the Source of all life. If you believe in me like Lazarus did I will also resurrect you from death to eternal life. If you believe in me and know that I am the Son of God then then you have assurance of eternal life with me in God 's Kingdom.

For us who are in CHRIST, death is past tense, having been taken care of 2000yrs ago, we now look forward for either rapture or that great resurrection after having a nice sleep. Halleluyah!
  • Dusky on John 11:35 - 11 years ago
Christ needs us to believe. It 's just that simple. When we believe, even though we do not understand, we accept that He is Sovereign over every part of our being body, heart, mind or as I like to call it strength, spirit soul . He keeps His promises and we know this and so we do not require proof in this lifetime or the next. This is the key to the door of having righteousness counted toward you. It is also why Abraham did not need to see nor did he wait until all was received. He simply believed and kept it moving. Because Abraham was so willing in his strength, spirit and soul to accept and believe we all share in his blessing. Jesus wept because he just needs us to believe.

I saw to types of servants of God, Martha said, I know nothing is impossible with God, she told Christ that 's faith she said so even his brother were dead for four days, we also saw her other sister Mary wept and Jesus also wept with them, then after that He raised Lazarus from death, that 's so powerful... When we get into any trouble Jesus go with us and then changes the situation there after to work for us John10V10

  • Elmon on John 11 - 12 years ago
I believe Jesus wept not because of Lazarus but at the level of unbelief that had engulfed the people that came to comfort Mary and Martha. Upon Martha getting the revelation that Jesus was the Sent One and that whatever He asked of the father it will be done, she contradicted herself by now he stinks and people concurred with her. Four days represented the period the Israelis spent in the wilderness, for to God a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like a day, Jesus confirmed the end of Israelis and Lazarus's wilderness (death) moment
  • Brooke Padgett on John 11 - 12 years ago
A revelation the Spirit gave me was that Jesus also wept for Lazarus. Jesus understood that Lazarus had been glorified and that He was going to bring him back from paradise. My goodness, imagine how that grieved His Spirit

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.>>> Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.(NOTE:no one is ever justifed by the law now as per Galatians 3:11-13)>>>> Romans 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their OWN righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.Romans10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.>>>Now, Listen to OUR LORD JESUS say it, and believe on the FATHER. Why? He said it's needed.>>> John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
