Hey Littlechild Gbu I like your screenname....But it all started by the disobedience of 1 man Adam...And this curse and stain was applied to all men at Birth no exceptions....In Adam we all die but in Christ we will all live 1 Cor. 15:22...Jesus says If i belifted up i will draw all men unto me....Thus the blood of Christ has to be applied to all men....That was the new Covenant in Jeremiah 31:31 I will know them all from the least to the greatest...An all inclusive Covenant....Implying the blood of Christ has to be applied to every person from the least to the greatest....As God so loved the world....But there is another man in this picture which is our old adamic nature, he is the man that has to be destroyed by the lake of fire....If thy right hand offend thee cut it off....He is the dog that returns to his vomit and the sow that returns to her mud....Every sinner has to have his part in the lake of fire which is baptism of the H.G. and fire as our God is a consuming fire...Thats y Jesus said i come to bring fire on the earth....Which is his baptism of the H.G. and fire...The gift of God to every person that hungers and thirst after righteousness.... Abrahamic Covenant.

Part 4.

The Abrahamic Covenant also included a promise of blessing and redemption ( Genesis 12:3). All the earth would be blessed through Abraham. This promise finds its fulfillment in the New Covenant ( Jeremiah 31:31-34; cf. Luke 22:20), which was ratified by Jesus Christ, the son of Abraham and Redeemer who will one day "restore everything" ( Acts 3:21).

Five times in Genesis 12, as God is giving the Abrahamic Covenant, He says, "I will." Clearly, God takes the onus of keeping the covenant upon Himself. The covenant is unconditional. One day, Israel will repent, be forgiven, and be restored to God's favor ( Zechariah 12:10-14; Romans 11:25-27). One day, the nation of Israel will possess the entire territory promised to them. One day, the Messiah will return to set up His throne, and through His righteous rule the whole world will be blessed with an abundance of peace, pleasure, and prosperity.

THAT BRINGS US TO THE DAVIDIC COVENANT.

The Davidic Covenant refers to God's promises to David through Nathan the prophet and is found in 2 Samuel 7 and later summarized in 1 Chronicles 17:11-14 and 2 Chronicles 6:16. This is an unconditional covenant made between God and David through which God promises David and Israel that the Messiah (Jesus Christ) would come from the lineage of David and the tribe of Judah and would establish a kingdom that would endure forever. The Davidic Covenant is unconditional because God does not place any conditions of obedience upon its fulfillment. The surety of the promises made rests solely on God's faithfulness and does not depend at all on David or Israel's obedience.

But all that is OT prophecy. Has Israel been blotted out because of their stubbornness, & only the Church is what is on God's Mind as His new Israel? I believe that God cherishes His Church (those of Israel & the Gentiles purchased with His Son's Blood), yet yearns for His chosen ones to whom His covenants were given.

The Apostle Paul shares much on this: we read of his yearning for his people & the promise that they will come to the Lord, when "the fullness of the Gentiles be come inAnd so all Israel shall be saved" ( Romans 11:25-27). He isn't referring here to a reconstructed/renamed Israel comprising believing Jews & Gentiles; Paul sees not only the Church (saved Jew & Gentile) in his many writings but also that Israel as a nation/people will continue to exist & play a major part in the end-times. To remove Israel completely out of the end-time picture, would also remove much from the Word that speaks of them as a nation (see also Hebrews 8:8-12 & Jeremiah 31:31-34 for the New Covenant which applies to all now, & will still find it's complete fulfilment in Israel's restoration in the end times). Even Jesus proclaimed that, "Ye (Israel) shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord" ( Matthew 23:39) - I wonder when that time will be? ( Zechariah 12:9,10).

Donna i know i'm late to answer your question but i just noticed it...And its a very good question....There was no man worthy to shed his blood for humanity but Jesus....Steven was a great man of God like so many others but they still carried that stain and spot of Adam...Christ Jesus was the only man that didn't carry the stain and spot of Adam....Thus he was the only man that cd shed his blood for the sins of the world (humanity)....Thats y John the bap. said behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world...No other man cd die for the sins of the world....God wanted a New Covenant for the sins of the world but it was only Jesus that was good enough to die for the sins of the world..There were many great men of God but none of them cd be the lamb of God... Jeremiah 31:29 "In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge. 30 But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge." That means that there are no longer generational "curses", so to speak. Everyone is accountable for their own sins. A child will not be held accountable for what his/her parents did. And, the only way to become perfect, is through Jesus Christ. We all need Him. We're all sinners and need a Saviour. That's why He took our sins to the cross, died in our place. But dispensationalist have pigeon holed this into their system in ways that are not explicitly stated in Scripture as to when this will happen.

You seem to be unsure of your viewpoint but rebuke the dispensational viewpoint.

I said in my earlier posts it's after the tribulation and wrath of the Lord.

Hello Mary. The answer to your question quite probably lies in the grammar of the Hebrew language, that is used in the Old Testament. Unlike in English where we don't have a clear distinction in the word 'they/them/those' (i.e. they can refer to any gender, unless the subject is clear), in Hebrew, even the words 'they/them/those' are allocated a specific gender without the need to specify whether male or female.

Now in Psalm 68:11, the KJV rendering is correct (i.e. "...great was the company of those that published it"), but when examining the word, 'those', in Hebrew apparently, 'those' is given a feminine gender, which then necessitates the meaning, 'that the large group of people publishing the good news (i.e. rejoicing & dancing maybe because of victories won or from the giving of the Law)', were women. And often, we read in the Bible of women who are conspicuous in their presence in such celebrations (e.g. Exodus 15:20; Judges 21:21,23; 1 Samuel 18:6; Jeremiah 31:13: 'virgin', relates to young women; & maybe other references).

So, those translators that showed that these were women who came out to "publish the Word", & in all probability, in song, fanfare, & dance, were likely more accurate in their reading of the Hebrew, whereas the KJV only shows it as 'a great company', which of course may have included males as they took part in celebrations (with music, etc.).

Hello Meliah. I'm unsure whether you're asking about Jeremiah the man, or Jeremiah the prophetical book that he authored. So, I'll share on both points.

Jeremiah received the Word from God, that he was separated (set apart) from pre-birth & ordained to be God's prophet for that time in history ( Jeremiah 1:5). This was during the reign of King Josiah & his prophetical work went on till Judah's last reigning king, King Zedekiah - at which time Babylon invaded Palestine, occupied Jerusalem & captives taken back to Babylon.

The Book of Jeremiah is Jeremiah's account of God's dealings with him, Judah, their captors, and the other nations. Even though Jeremiah was reluctant to do as commanded by God, he nevertheless did not fail to bring out the prophetical message to the people. For over forty years, he faithfully proclaimed God's stern Judgement on apostate Judah, all the while Jeremiah had to endure fierce opposition, beatings & imprisonment ( Jeremiah 11:18-23; 12:6; 18:18; 20:1-3; 26:1-24; 37:11-38:28).

Even though warnings against sin & coming judgement are uppermost throughout the book, God still sent out messages of hope & future restoration. Predictions of a coming Messiah ( Jeremiah 23:5,6); the duration of the Babylonian captivity ( Jeremiah 25:11); and the revelation of the New Covenant ( Jeremiah 31:31-34) are the bright lights seen in this book.

The law was given to Israel but let's set that aside.

You are right in that you say, "The Commandments must be kept" Israel couldn't obtain salvation thru the keeping of the law and neither can we.

Christ came to free us from the curse of the law, that doesn't mean he did away with The Law.

In the old covenant "under the law" there was sacrifices made for sin. Those sacrifices pointed ahead to the only sacrifice that could take away sin AND regenerate the believer by the Spirit. Hebrews 10:3-10.

The old covenant had no power over the incurable heart. The new covenant humbled the sinner and pointed him in the right direction. "CHRIST" Ezekiel 36:26-27. Jeremiah 31:31-33.

The old covenant slew us and is called the ministration of death. Romans 7:5-11. 2 Corinthians 3:6-14.

The new covenant gave mercy. Why mercy? Because no one could keep the law, and no one is able to do so today. Putting ourselves in chains and grinding our teeth while restraining from sin isn't keeping the law. Galatians 2:21.

The commandments given didn't say keep the commandments as best you can.

You're breaking the law in your heart You're still a sinner. There's no sanctification. Christ came to give new birth and a new heart accompanied with mercy and grace.

The second you broke any one of them you were forever lost if there was no sacrifice that could take away sin. Hebrews 10:1-5.

It was the sacrifices that pointed to Christ that made atonement for those sins.

Israel having God in their midst with all the providence showed the world that the heart of man is incurably wicked.

The law showed that there was a need of a savior that could regenerate the believer and give a new heart and life.

The commandments are Holy and was given to a nation that was set apart to show man with God in their midst was nothing like God being "IN" them.
