I think you have not read yet 2 Ezra which is 2 Esdras in the apocrypha. After reading Ezra, 1 Esdras, and Esther (both books and in order) then you need to read 2 Esdras. God did not answer them, he was not with them, he never responded to Nehemiah's cry for Him to come and dwell with them, yet there was no answer. They were never saved from captivity by going back to the land trying to rebuild a house to the Lord. They rebelled against his captivity and he tells Ezra to tell the people there that they need to go their way (2 Esdras 1:4-9). They thought the burden of the Lord (the reason he didn't come) was because of the stranger wives ( Jeremiah 23:25-40 & Lamentations 2:14). So they put them and their children away. They were wrong. Listen to the prophets he proclaimed came from him (2 Esdras 1:38-39). 2 Esdras 2:1-17, 2 Esdras 2:33-48, 2 Esdras 3:23-4:2, 2 Esdras 5:16-19, 2 Esdras 6:57-59, Psalm 127:1. Either be in captivity still or seek the Lord with all your heart and soul and He will release unto you the wisdom and understanding of His word through your spirit. 2 Chronicles 6:29-33, Ezekiel 47:21-33, Isaiah 56:1-8, etc. etc. there is so much more... Christ comes in the full volume of the book, do not add nor take away. Cherry picking scriptures is of the false teachers who have come to deceive and the Word of God is not in them.

Ramon, when we see a Name such as Jehovah Tsidkenu, we know that this is a compound Name for God (i.e. God is still One God, but a word is attached to His Name to indicate some special aspect/feature of Him.

So, God's primary Names are: Elohim, Jehovah, Adonai, God/Lord.

His compound Names are: Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Ropheka, Jehovah Nissi, etc. And all these names can be found in the Scriptures in the original Hebrew. They further describe Almighty God.

The compound Name Jehovah Tsidkenu means "The LORD our Righteousness" & you can find His Name revealed in Jeremiah 23:6 & 33:16.

The compound Names for God as El: El Shaddai, El Elyon, El Olam, El Roi.

They often come in popular evangelical clothing. They went to prestigious seminaries, use orthodox lingo (like Gospel, Trinity, Kingdom living etc). And even appear godly. They often know scripture well, for even the devil quoted scripture when tempting Jesus Christ (Matthew chapter 4). However, their outward appearance does not match their inward one. They are ferocious wolves who will hurt the flock. ( Jeremiah 23:6).

I would just like to share what I have learned about Mark 10:17-18. The word good in Verses 17 and 18 is a special word. It is the word AGATHOS. There is another Greek word for the word good, and that word is KALOS. All throughout the bible, the word good is used. But if we just see it in English, we tend to attach one meaning to that word because we don't realize that there are different Greek words for our English word good, and that they have different meanings. You see, we only come away with one meaning for the word good in our English bibles.

But when I go to the original text, the word AGATHOS is used in both Verses 17 and 18. Jesus is going to say why did you all me AGATHOS? There is only one who is AGATHOS and that is God. Why did you call me AGATHOS? Do you realize what you just called me? You called me God. Why did you do that?

He is bringing it to this rich man's attention.

For the longest time I didn't understand these verses. I thought I was a good person, and I knew several good people. And then I read this and it was sort of like letting air out of the tire. I also wondered how others would look at themselves as not being good at all, and how it would make them feel about themselves. But then I learned what was really taking place in these two verses and it made perfect sense. There are good people (KALOS). But no one is good (AGATHOS) but God.

That is what I've come to learn. This man was referring to Jesus as God, because only God is good (AGATHOS). And Jesus was quick to point out to the rich man that he called him the good that can only be applied to God, which would make Jesus equal to God. But did you notice that Jesus never denied it?

In Luke 6:45, Jesus said a "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good;" This tells me that a person can be good, and there are good people, but never AGATHOS! Anyways, I just wanted to share this with you.

Verse 1 is particularly instructive since it reminds us of the emergence of false prophets which the Bible warns will be hallmark of the last days. "Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.". The scripture allows you to see God in a different way, Just like the word says in Luke 1 37 that nothing shall ever be impossible with God, this indeed confirms that God is a God of possibilities and that he is a God who keeps his word, God has a plan with your life Jeremiah 23:11 and he has already said something about it and as it says in the scripture, his word does not return to him void, therefore it will accomplish in your life that which God has sent it to accomplish.

Pastors have to study the word of God faithfully and pray for the counsel of the Holy Spirit of God to reveal what God is actually saying in His Word. If those Pastors cater to the immature or the unconverted members of their local churches because they do not want to lose majority of their members for financial reasons and only say what they want to hear with their itching ears, the judgment of God will fall upon them.
