Well said Samantha. Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
    Hebrews 8:12
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

I love what you're saying cuz it's so true and I just pray God continues to convict the sinners thru his word and judge the Christians accordingly. We must continue to love bcuz the gospel is all about Gods never ending love for all mankind. Stay encouraged...God is in control not us!!!

Yes thank you for sharing...but its not just about us putting up a FIGHT cuz when Jesus died on the cross, shed his blood and rose again, the battle has already been fought and the victory has already been won! And i don't have to wait until the battle is over....i can shout right now! Oh bless God!

Peter says that God is "not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." Is this our attitude? Or do you wish to see sinners burn in fire? Our goal should be to get as many people into a relationship with Jesus as possible. Paul even went so far as to say that "I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some." Save sinners, and let God judge.

Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah. Isaiah 1:9 And they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb their eye shall not spare children.....shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. Isaiah 13:18-19

    Stand up we must in these days of Evilness. Showing our Heavenly Father how much we Love Him. Bring as many of His people we can to fight for Him;
As Jesus His Son did for us. FIGHT--FIGHT-- WITH ALL OUR MIGHT. LET THEM SEE THE LIGHT IN US:
    Let His Glory Shine!!

God doesn't consider our cries if we don't speak up, we are watching those in congress do nothing about anti semitism, abusing and old woman in front of a abortion clinic for kneeling and praying we need to stand up, we have so many Christians and yet they vote them in, on promises to do good things for all, and then we get this , we all stand in judgement if we dont start fighting the good fight

who should we offend the sinner or God?
  • Vanessa on Isaiah 1 - 6 years ago
we live in a world today having compassion toward sinners calling it love, we sit in the middle where there is no middle ground, we are to tell the truth in love to all, not condone and pity others ways of wrong, but lead them to the Lord and his way, if they don not choose to follow they bring their own destruction, for they have been told, it's time we take up the cross and preach the word.

Are we (USA) exempt from God's judgement? Are we (USA churches) better then Israel?
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword

A / this nation chosen from among all the nations, chosen to be the 'children' of GOD; personally they knew the blessing of GOD, never-the-less would not obey GOD, thereby severe punishment is executed. ... in 2018 / we the people has gone down the same I D. road they went down, now / 2018 the same wrath-of-GOD /pay-day has begun again; thank GOD for the 'BLOOD OF THE LAMB'. WOW! WOW! WOW!

Isaiah 1:23 Your leaders are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loves gifts, and follow after rewards: they deny justice to the fatherless, neither does the plight of the widow come to them.

If one does not see these words in this corrupt, depraved Congress today, they are spiritually dead.

Melody; Very good question! Its like how Jesus said in Matthew 5:25, to be in a good mind and agreeable toward your adversary that you not be brought before the Judge. The definition for "reason" is: to think through logically, as a problem; to think or argue in a logical manner; to form conclusions, judgments, or inferences from facts or premises. This is about our acknowledging the truth.

Hi Jim; I once heard, that "Temptations won't cease till we're 15 minutes dead!" The difference that the Father has put between us and those who will not hear Jesus' voice, is the good and honest heart which acknowledges the truth, bows its head and says O Lord, be merciful to me the sinner! Jesus forgives us the sins and sets us free, and gives us grace and His Spirit to be holy and steadfast.

Did the people ever feel guilt from their sins? I think we all have battled the temptations of sin early in our salvation, til guilt and shame finally overwhelms our lives and existence. The yoke of sin becomes heavy and finally we fall, look up and give it all to the Lord.
( Matt 11:29) Take my yoke upon you and learn of me for I am meek and lowly in heart and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

The people in this passage were playing a game with God. They went through the motions, prayed, and even went to church. God said "I won't hear you." Still, he told them how to change. Learn to do good.

As we read the Word od God . we are to use it to bring strength to others ( verse 26 says ) A I Will restore the judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning : afterward thou shalt be called, city of righteousness, the faith city.

"Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth..." To all heaven and earth is the cry of the Prophet, to look at what happens with God and His people. People think that they don't matter enough, and that their little lives aren't going to affect the "vast scheme of things." But God said, "You are my witnesses;" and for better or worse, thus it must be. If you do well, men will see; and so too if you sin!

America is not more wicked than any other nation on earth. America does strive to allow people to self rule. There is separation of church and state. People are not stoned to death for adultery, or their heads cut off because they do not have freedom of speech or freedom of religion. In America one is not killed for being a Christian unless it is by a terrorist with doctrine from a foreign nation.

"Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah." YOU ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH; but if the salt lose its saltiness, with what shall it be salted?" When the transgressors come to the full, and many Christians fail the grace and high calling of God in Christ; there's no more reason for keeping the world going.
  • Davida Roberts on Isaiah 1 - 8 years ago
I believe America is just as wicked today ... as it was back then in that time and I do believe we have the same God. and America had better change or suffer the same conquences as Sodom and gomorrah... That's what I think.
