If you look at this verse very carefully its talking about how if we look up at the stars we can't count them all. So therefore God is telling Abraham that even after his death his family will continue (the Israelites) Jeff as long as God allows humans to exist we will exist. Yes we will be judged one day for what we have done, but if were christians we will only be judged by the things we do since we got saved and those that are not saved will be judged for the things that they do and in determination whether they go to hell or not. which if their not saved they are going to hell

God’s desire has always been to provide righteousness to those who trust Him (e.g., Genesis 15:6). On some occasions, God’s people were said to be “clothed in righteousness” ( Job 29:14; Psalm 132:9; Isaiah 61:10), and here in Malachi 4:2 God’s people will see the Sun of Righteousness Himself rising over the world. It’s a picture of the future millennial reign of Jesus Christ. The darkness of the Antichrist’s reign will vanish, and the light of God will take its place. The self-giving love of YHWH revealed in Genesis 15:1 appears to be an Old Testament example and precursor of that same sentiment, later clarified in John 3:16. God loves His Chosen people and gives them not just objective blessing from on high. He actually gives them Himself, in order to bless, as any true lover, following His example does.

The Judgement of Nations? Who will suffer Greater, a free country that rejects the Truth, or a country with leaders that reject the Truth. Also Judgement is good when the Truth is sought and those that find it and are directed by it.

If you will read Exodus chapter 6 through chapter 12, you will see the children of Israel were captives and slaves in Egypt for 430 years. Until when God sent Moses to deliver them and bring them to the land He (God) had promised to Abraham!

Here, God is telling the course of things. He is not actually the one sending Abraham’s descendants into captivity, but is just telling what will come next.
The reason God is telling that is because He promised that land to Abraham’s descendants, but could not give it to them unfairly; the actual occupants of the land, the Amorite were sorely misbehaving. However God was not yet in the right to take them off that land, because their iniquity was not yet full ( Genesis 15:16).
And God uses no favouritism, because even Israel itself faced same punishment when it disobeyed God.

I have a doubt on Genesis 15:13. Why did God say to Abraham that his descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs? Kindly clarify the exact reason for this.

Since John 17:3, Philippians 3:8-10, Matthew 7:21-23, verse 9 covered by a thick cloud, Jeremiah 29:13 that the people might hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever. John 6:17-8; 8:12. Jesus marveled in Matthew 8:10. Is there a greater marvel elsewhere? Is the only disease (BELEVING A LIE) caused by either Deception, or Pride. 1 Corinthians 4:7 there is only One God Who cannot lie, Hebrews 13:8. Who says there are no absolutes? The statement is an absolute, humble unselfish FATHER already knows everything, and is the answer, yet humanity is so wrapped up in their shallow little plans they miss the mark. His Glory Revelation 4:11, Galatians 2:20-21, Genesis 15:1, Philippians 3:12 Came here to understand this veiled verse 19:13 but got sidetracked. Sound unfamiliar 2 Corinthians 3:18, Ephesians 4:13.

That’s our perception as human beings in our limitations. But God is above all and knows all. The Bible here is just telling this round, but no one knows how did those people get that land.
God knew the practices of those people, their practices were bad in God’s sovereign sight. God knew they were getting worse and worse, so He took the resolve to remove them from that land. But not before they reached unacceptable levels, Genesis 15:16.
And that is not because He liked Israel and disliked those people. But because of their misdeeds. God does not choose people; “…God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.” Acts 10:34-35.
The proof is that Israel himself got corrupt in the course of time and ultimately suffered same consequences. Because there is no preference with God.
We judge about what we know, unfortunately we don’t know all. So let’s listen to God who knows everything.

This second chapter of the book of Proverbs, is like others, depending upon what they contains. In actual fact, it confirms that there are no other ways into getting in the things of holy righteousness except through godly obedience ( 1 Timothy 3:16).- and then such a person cannot but learn and conduct Himself in accordance with the Word of God. In other words how to walk in love, becomes known and imparted, in such a way that he conducts himself humbly, committed and, yet in agreement with the dictates of godliness. The reason being that, as far as the truths of God’s Word are concerned, there are assured blessings on the other side of obedience. God, will never default on His Word- hence it is wise and worthwhile to take Him at His Word. This reveals and signifies that, God, in His faithfulness, desires to bless and impart whoever loves and believes Him through Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and has the necessary knowledge and wisdom that pertains to the task He has for them. God is the giver of whatever good things that man is after on this planet that are in consonant with divinity. That refers to such things that pertains to life and godliness- thus the importance of hearkening to His Word ( 2 Peter 1:3-7). God is a shield and buckler to those that love and honor Him, Psalm 3:3; Psalm 18:2; Psalm 119:14; Proverbs 30:5; 2 Corinthians 1:20), and His promises, are yea and Amen. Blessed be the name of the LORD forever!

In verse 15:13, I don’t believe it was a punishment but a course that had to be taken for the people to get what God had promised Abram, such as in our lives today at times we have to go through to get what was already promised, we don’t know the exact way God gets us from point a to point b, sometimes we do know that it takes faith and works with obedience to move mountains as the word tells us. Think about it, the faith of the grain of a mustard seed, find a mustard seed and then the grain if that and tell me, this is part of what you need to make things change in life. Acts 8:37 corresponds with other portions of scripture in the Bible, both New Testament and Old Testament. Romans 10, John 3:16-18, and Genesis 15:6, among others. I don't see why it isn't in all the versions.

this chapter is as plain as can be. it is true that the lord is our sheild and a rewarder of them that love him. but what is more important is the act of excercising faith. faith is a prove that he is god.

Comment to Jeff's question. I believe the human body will die out but the spirit will continue on. So that is how we will continue on with our new glorified body.

I think the most profound aspect of chapter 15 is in verse 6.(And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness).

God is moved by faith and whenever we exercise faith in God he will respond. In some area we have faith , but in other areas we fall short.

I believe God wants us to believe in him fully so that he can truly bless us.

LOL. its so amazing how Proverbs 3:5 clearly reads Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and LEAN NOT unto thine own understanding but still people carry out these self interpretations. smh.
