Yes, Gigi, he can't help himself, please see the reply to David and let me know if any biblical insights come to you. It's a very emotional problem that we face daily.

Thank you David for your comments. We struggle because the addiction has now turned into schitzophrenia and hearing voices. It is even hard to tell if he is straight. He does not know what is real most of the time, and cries over visions and things that he thinks has happened but have not. So if he needs help ( he is homeless now) and we have spent thousands on helping him and rescuing him many many times for many years, ( and now its more of a mental health issue) I am wondering biblically if we are wrong to stop helping him. He is our son by the way, and my husband and I do not agree on what to do. Thanks for any scripture that stands out to you.

Jesse The last statement speaks loudly, even still as it is written by their fruits we will know them or the way I like to put it I'd rather see a sermon than hear one. God Bless

Spencer, I enjoy your posts. They are thoughtful and well stated, I look forward to hearing from you when you have time outside of work.

I wonder how the gift of wisdom is aa outward manifestation, since it is a supernatural understanding of spiritual things in the inward man.

There is mention of the Nicolations in Revelations. Some Gnostic sects were the Manicheans and Montanists. During the time of the apostles, Gnosticism was just emerging from within the church. Greek philosophical thought was being applied to spiritual matters, which led to errors as well. The whole Roman world had been Hellenized after Alexander the Great's conquest in the 300's B.C.

Amen Cassundra Renee, We should be thankful every morning when we open our eyes that the Lord sustained us that night into the morning, that we have the functions of our body, the bed we are sleeping in, the clothes in our closet, the food in our kitchen, the roof over our head, our loved ones, our car, job etc... Yahweh is GOOD!

    Got it! Thanks for clarifying.

There were many priests of the tribe of Levi there to perform the ceremony of sacrificing the bulls. Either they sacrificed them all at once in the outer or inner court of the temple, or in succession. Solomon was not a priest, so he would not have done any of the butchering.

The only instances I am aware of in the Bible is the physical resurrection of godly people upon Jesus' death and resurrection. Matthew 27:52-53. After Jesus' resurrection they went into the city and appeared to many.

Another, was at the transfiguration of Jesus. Moses and Elijah appeared an spoke with Jesus. the apostles with Jesus saw this, but did not talk with Moses and Elijah ( Matthew 17:1-8)

Hi English Sacha, Paul said it is better for you if you were alone, but because of your flesh marry(If you can't contain it). Also Jesus never got married nor had sex. He went on to say those who enter the kingdom will be like the angels in heaven, not given in marriage nor having sex or making babies. There will be no baby making in heaven. Those things will pass away. Paul said the single person is dedicated to Yah because he thinks about the things of Yah. So you are fine. We are being changed into the image of Christ everything as we grow. The amount of glory we have will be set once we die. God Bless you.

Luke 23:29, Isaiah 54:1, these scriptures exist too. When other women say._..

Luke 1:25, 1 Samuel 1:6, women have cruelly mocked other women many times over this issue & others.

Remember GOD justifies Romans 8:33, Psalms 22:24, be encouraged sis

    Proverbs 16:9, Romans 5:1, James 2:22-25,

However the root argument sometimes stem from situational issues of choice which people may be referring to Genesis 38:6-10, then continued reading Tamar was considered "more righteous" Genesis 38:26, pursuing offspring of her dead husbands lineage, which was significant either in justification, reward or preplanned destiny. Matthew 1:3, Genesis 38:29, she is written in the documentation of Jesus lineage. Hebrews 11,

    Additional scripture

Act 17:28-29, Malachi 2:15, Isaiah 65:21-24, on their perspective

I hope this was encouraging & helpful

    StanJett;

Glad that you are beginning in the beginning! Genesis. I read this in my commentary in my Bible. Time and matter had no existence before the beginning in Genesis 1:1.

My thoughts:(No atoms, no molecules, no energy, no natural light, none of anything of the physical universe.)

In eternity past, before creation of the physical universe, God existed forever, alive in and of Himself, with no outer a cause to bring Him into existence (No Force). The Word does not say whether God created all of the heavenly spiritual beings (angels, seraphim, cherubim) prior to creating the material universe or after. But before He created these spiritual beings and the physical universe, He existed eternally as a Triune God in perfect communion within Himself, (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit) He was complete and in need of mothing. Nothing could be added to Him to make Him more perfect or taken from Him to reduce His perfection and this perfection is the same for all eternity.

When God chose to create, He spoke physical universe into existence, thus creating matter and time, since physical laws and processes began at this time. His speaking the universe into existence is creating something from nothing. (ex nihilo)

Whether He spoke the spiritual hosts of heaven into existence, or did something similar to making mankind, but not using physical matter is not known.

I hope this helps you. You could also google something like: creation of the universe ex nihilo and perhaps get a better explanation.

Thanks for asking. Such queries makes others of us have to consider how we would explain what we know. That is a good process for us to practice.

Hi Sasha I'm exercising my sense of humour. A sunday school teacher in an adult class told them he's going to be teaching next week on being truth full or honest and told the whole class to read and study mark chapter 17. The next week he ask the class how many people read mark 17 and everybody raised their hand.

A sunday school teacher was teaching was sharing obeying God and lot his wife and daughters had to flee sodom and gomorrah with the angels and lots wife disobeying and turning into a pillar of salt, at the end a child ask what happened to the flea.

    Hi English Sasha,

The word of God does speak to us and I believe He speaks to specific people for to do His will. When we study His word, the Holy Spirit teaches us if we open our ears. Preconceived ideas we have, plug our ears and we find scripture to confirm the answer we want. We cannot be taught if we know the answer before we study. The same is with a man, I never had children, we also can feel the eyes of whisper, the testimony is against them.

Interesting thought on the first Adam and the last Adam, may be that's one of the reasons Jesus is called the second man and the last Adam. Earthy first and spiritual second and at the resurrection we put off this corruption of the first Adam and put on incorruption because of what the last Adam did for us, then we will be in their likeness. 1John 3:2 Romans 6:5

My understanding of day six and Adam and Eve may be different, God bless you and your husband.

Perhaps you were thinking of the account of Paul's baptism in Acts 9:10-18; 22:16-Paaul reports here that Ananias said to Paul: Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins calling on the name of the Lord."

Hello English Sasha I forgot a major point what we can know by our five senses God expects us to know, so the more we put the word on the mind the more we know God and can understand and receive. And always ask Just like a child with a Father can I do this, should I do that, David the king did this all the time, so should we, ask and ye shall receive.

    Hi Cynthia.

I would like to add to what has been shared. I intended to respond earlier but got side tracked.

What drugs do other than being harmful for your health is influence the flesh as well as drunkenness from alcohol.

Ephesians 5:13-18. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

( AND BE NOT DRUNK WITH WINE, WHEREIN IS EXCESS; BUT BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT; ) I believe to be Awake, walk circumspectly, and to understand the will of God is when the Holyspirit is present in you. Alcohol and drugs voids us of the Spirit working in our lives.

Another verse that may go with that is Matthew 12:43-45.

Here the Lord is using the actions of an unclean spirit to draw a picture that parallels with Israel for the Pharisees.

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. ( The unclean Spirit. )

Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. ( Void of the Holyspirit. )

Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

I believe this goes for any thing that may have us in bondage/Darkness. You turn from Darkness to Him who provides the light. "Christ in you"

I pray that helps, God bless.

Hi english Sasha Here are a few principles I understand if God wants someone to know or do something specifically for your benefit or understanding he will tell the individual first, of there not listening so to speak we'll here from heaven in another way. It will always Glory God and be a blessing to the giver and receiver.

God will never ask anyone to do something outside of foundation of His word, go over speed limit, drive a car with balled tires in a down pour, give you something to do and you don't have the ability to carry it out.

He is not the author of confusion but of order, he never yells in my experience a Still small voice, also if you don't follow first instruction you don't get the next step. Because how can you move on step B if you don't believe step A. Example exodus 14:16 God told Moses to lift up his fod and stretch his hand over the sea and they will go over on dry ground through the sea. verse 21 he did it and got the results, step A and step B

He always communicates to the individual the way they will understand it He's that personal remember the very hairs on our heads are numbered.

It will always be in the renewed mind love of God walk agapeo, and never cross purposes with scripture and you must be peaceful to receive, the greatest cargos in life come in over quiet seas. I'm sure there's

others prayerfully this helps. God Bless

    Hello again,

I do not believe Scripture says we will be ever possess the fullness of God. The Father fills the universe. he is totally unbounded. Jesus has a body now in heaven and in Him the fullness of the Godhead dwells. I don't think this means that all of God is not necessarily contained in one place. When God was present in the pillar of cloud and light in the wilderness with the Israelites, doesn't mean that He wasn't also everywhere present. Or, when His Presence was in the tabernacle on the Holy of Holies on the ark of the covenant doesn't mean that He was not also everywhere present.

    Spencer,

I think so, too. One of my favorite verses is from Job where, in the midst of his losses, he state: For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth. And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God, Whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns

    within me!

    Job 19:25-27

We in Christ share this same resurrection hope.

I am reminded of 1 Peter 3:13-17. But you may have another in mind.
  • Gigi - In Reply on Galatians 2 - 4 years ago
    Or just Christian for some.
  • Kent Bass - In Reply - 4 years ago
Gigi, If you are "begotten" means that you are without sin, perfect, faultless, eternal. You are right we can not be created and begotten at the same time. However if you lived a perfect life as Jesus DID you are begotten. A sinner CAN NOT live a perfect life. It's impossible. Jesus was the only one to do that because he was begotten. If there were someone else who did that, they would have had to be begotten as well, thus without sin, perfect, faultless, eternal with God before all creation.

Yahweh and Jesus said it themselves that no one was found to be worthy. But it is in the law that, 'I have said you are gods, but shall die like mortals you will die. Both in the Psalms and in the gospels. No one will be able to say they didn't have a chance.

That is why there are only 3 eternal beings. I won't repeat this again as knowing this info won't save nor send you to hell. God Bless you.

    Dear seeking,

Yes, there is only one God who sits on the throne. You are true in saying that. But could the one on the throne be Christ Himself? Did Christ not inherit the throne? Does scripture not tell us that Jesus Christ has inherited all things from the Father?

Concerning Christ the Son, in Hebrews Chapter 1 Verse 8, it is God the Father who says "But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom."

Jesus here is being called God. Interesting!!!
  • Ronald L Whittemore - In Reply on Hebrews 12 - 4 years ago
    Seeking on,

Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

    God bless,

Hi and thanks for your interesting post . I believe that Jesus washed Judas's feet along with the other apostles . I also believe that Judas was trying to force Jesus's hand , pressuring him to restore the Kingdom to Israel by leading a revolt against the Romans . Jesus told the disciples of John the Baptist of the signs that he is the Messiah , Matthew Ch 11 , V 5 , these are things that the Jews believed the Messiah would be able to do along with restoring the Kingdom to Israel , I believe that this is what Judas was looking for from Jesus . Many of the scribes and Pharisees had seen the miracles that Jesus did with their own eyes ,yet they still kept asking for a ' sign ' ,Matthew Ch 12 and Luke Ch 11 . The only prophecy that Jesus hadn't fulfilled was restoring the Kingdom to Israel , he had fulfilled all the other prophecies . Judas was trying to force Jesus into taking the action that he thought was the thing that Jesus was there to do at that time . These are just my thoughts and I know I could be wrong about them .Judas was looking for the physical restoration not the spiritual , Judas was of this world , Jesus says...John Ch 18 . Hope I've explained myself ok .
