Revelation 2:28 And I will give him the morning star.

Revelation 22:16 ....I am the the root and offspring if David, the bright and shining star.

Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Revelation 1:20...the STARS are the ANGELS ....

Psalms 104:4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers (priest) a flaming fire:

Psalms 103:20 Bless the Lord, YE HIS ANGELS, who excel in strength, and do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Familiar with it only in the sense of historical research and why it's not scriptural but unsound doctrine.

    2 Timothy 4:3-4

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."

It's a fable or to go into some of the history, it belongs to a group of many (close to 40 or more) pseudepigraphal books that were written long after the original 66 books of scripture. Ethiopians, Mormons and other religions use the book of Enoch as an "extra" to their many other false religious works which often contradict the Bible. Some claim that the quote of Enoch by Jude are identical but that's not by mistake; the alikeness in the verses is due to the copyists who wrote Enoch used the quote from the book of Jude. The early church knew nothing of the existence of the book of Enoch as it didn't exist then.

The book of Revelation is the sum of everything in the Bible and everything to come. Look only to one Bible and the warning I gave before on this -- I give again (not from me but from God):

    Revelation 22: 18 & 19

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

Yes John the Baptist was Elijah reincarnated. When one of the disciples questioned Jesus about him coming before Elijah, Jesus told him that Elijah has already come. And also he said that Elijah would come before the end, which means he's coming back once again. Anyone who believes differently is calling our Christ a liar and is the Anti-Christ.

Someone said something about pagans Celebrating Christmas is PAGAN along with all the other fake man made up holidays!

    Kenneth,

In Matthew 11:14, when Jesus was speaking about John the Baptist, Jesus said that John the Baptist was Elijah who was to come. Jesus is referring to Malachi 4:5 that tells us that Elijah will come before Messiah comes, and Elijah will be the forerunner to the Messiah.

However, we have a problem here because in John Chapter 1, when the leadership sent people out to ask John, "Are you the Messiah?" John said, "No!" "Are you the prophet?" which by the way is also a term for the Messiah. Again, John said no. "Are you Elijah?" He said no again.

So he is John the Baptist, but he is not Elijah. But Jesus said this is Elijah who was to come. So either John didn't know who he was, or he was confused or something? Even in Matthew Chapter 17 in the Transfiguration, when they came down off the hill, the disciples understood what Jesus said about John the Baptist, that John the Baptist was Elijah. But John said he isn't.

So was he Elijah or not? The answer to that is found in Luke 1:17, when the angel came to announce to Zacharias that his wife Elizabeth was going to give birth, which would be John the Baptist. And he said that he (John) will come in the spirit and power of the Elijah, the "spirit and power" of Elijah. John the Baptist is going to have the same ministry as Elijah. He is not going to be Elijah personally, but he has the same ministry as Elijah.

Therefore, that settles our dilemma about John. He says no, I'm not Elijah, I'm John. However, the Spirit's anointing upon him was that he came in the spirit and power of Elijah. The same spirit that had anointed Elijah was the same spirit that anointed John.

    Hope this helps!

    Isaiah 5:11

"Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them!"

There are many alcoholics in the church today. When I first got saved I recall a man saying we should drink alcohol socially because Jesus changed water to wine at the wedding feast. However, if you read the Greek...that wine Jesus transformed was unfermented (contained no alcohol). There are those which believe the A.A.'s philosophies will help and yet they state for 2, 20, or more years that they're still alcoholic in pledge. The only cure is in Jesus Christ and to seek after His great Salvation. Understand, I too suffered from alcoholism more than once in my life. It's ugly because it will allow us to become open targets for Satan and a shame to our families as was the case with Noah ( Gen 9:21-25).

We need to be vigilant and garnered with the full armor of God. But under substance or intoxication...we deteriorate that protection by giving Satan a doorway to enter. Whereas the Bible called us:

    1 Peter 5:8

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

There were multitudes of witnesses that day and the soldiers who took Jesus Christ up to Mount Calvary saw plenty. I imagine there had to be some that were saved that day. Despite the hardness of their heart -- some were there are witness' only and watching. What did that do to the hearts of many? It's an answer we won't know on this side of the grave but I imagine there were some. Rome was judged for sure though on a separate thought. Rome thought they'd be the immortal power to the world and they killed nearly all the apostles (minus John). Now look at them...in ruins. Just the catholic religion that stands but there's no empire, no power. Those who used to carry swords are out in the streets of Rome today selling tourist gifts. But the Blood of Christ has and WILL NEVER lose it's power.

The Bible does not mention smoking * or other means of using tobacco. However, it contains principles showing that God does not approve of unhealthy and unclean habits and thus views smoking as a sin.

Respect for life. "God . . . gives to all people life and breath." ( Acts 17:24, 25) Since life is a gift from God, we should not do anything that would shorten our life, such as smoking. Smoking is one of the main causes of preventable death worldwide.

Love of neighbor. "You must love your neighbor as yourself." ( Matthew 22:39) Smoking around others does not show love. Those who are routinely subjected to secondhand smoke are at higher risk of some of the same diseases that smokers often suffer from.

    Kenneth:

Ephesians 4:4 There is ONE BODY, and ONE SPIRIT ....

Ephesians 4:6 ONE GOD, and FATHER OF ALL .....

Every man has his being in this ONE SPIRIT, although most haven't come to this TRUTH, YET

    Spirit is Life and Truth.

John was not the reincarnation of Elijah, but did the WORKS OF GOD through this One Spirit, this One Power, just as Elijah did; John came in the Spirit of Elijah, but that Spirit is God.

You have you being in this One Spirit, and when this One Spirit wants you to do something, you also will be like Elijah and John and everyone else BORN OF TRUTH.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God (Spirit) that worketh IN YOU both TO WILL and TO DO his pleasure.

Hebrews 12 : 22...You are come unto mt. ZION THAT heavenly Jerusalem...The city of the living God etc..Isaiah mentions the sucking Child and the woman with Child a great company which answers to Rev 12 : 5 she brought forth a man Child that is gona RULE ALL NATIONS...( the spirit of truth) the H.G. that Jesus said was gonna reprove the World of sin and Judgement and righteousness.

....The lil Child that leads them is the H.G. The Child of Promise...All the Animals are just symbolic language for ppl that have birth the Child of Promise the H.G...A new innerman...Thats y Isaiah is saying a lil Child is gonna lead them which is the H.G.

While the hierarchy of the church watched Him drag His cross, could they have questioned themselves saying have "we have made a mistake"?

The Roman soldier, can you hear Him saying, I hope He is almost dead when he arrives on this Hill! His conscience burning within Him as the thought that He must drive the nails that will hold this Holy One from the Cross!

Can you see Christ dragging his own cross, exhausted, bleeding out, with the dust that would cauterize His wounds.

Oh the thoughts of those who were under the command, those who would play the part that would haunt them for generations! Can you hear the centurion, as He says truly this is the Son of God?

The nation even today, who wish to silence these words. The nation who wish to comfort their souls believing they have done Gods will. Repent and be Baptized

The disciples were flawed men that didn't have a Biblical clew until Christ died. Christ strengthened them, because they were weak as water, otherwise they would fail on their own faces. They had little understanding, and lack of faith in a man they never fully realized was God in flesh. Peter very easily matched Judas' trespass with his 3 denials of Christ. That is exactly how the real world operates, nothing has changed.

What I think, or what you think will not matter in the judgement but what sayeth the Lord. I would rather see anyone in church serving the Lord teaching others the truth (Jesus teachings) than denying him. The Lord can & will make a way if we are willing to do his will not ours.

Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

The assembly of the firstborn is the Church which is composed of born-again believers.

The "perfect" are those whose sins have been washed away by the blood of the Lamb.

Only God can deliver us from besetting sins. We must learn how to enter into His presence through prayer and continue in constant prayer for deliverance from our besetting sins. Deliverance may not come immediately but that is the path we must follow for God to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves.

    Mark 14:38

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

This can be overcome. Pray that He will take the urge, and the feeling of dependency away. That , you must know that He will do it! He will do it if you want it!!! You must want it , the first day is the hardest, after that it is all downhill. Know He has got this! You are no different than those who have gone before you! He has given you a way to escape. Pray, without ceasing, in all your ways acknowledge Him! In the power, yours in Christ ,Fred

In Luke 8:11 the seed is the word of God.

    Luke 8:11

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

In Eph 6:17 the sword is the word of God.

    Ephesians 6:17

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

In Eph 5:26 the water is the word of God.

Baptism in rainwater does not save but baptism in the Holy Spirit and washing in the water of the word of God does save.

    1 Peter 1:23

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

The spirit of evil will works its work through the unbelieving soul. Those who do it ignorantly, and those who know the truth and have deliberately chosen it's way.

Evil has a mission. It must provide its own promises and rewards unto those who expect it, else what would be the reason?

Riches, power, manipulation, deception, all this and more unto those who will worship this one who has made himself into an angel of light, that He may gain the preeminence , deceiving the very elect!

Be not deceived, God is not mocked . You cannot serve two masters, you will love only one or the other ,but never both.

The day of judgment hath arrived!

Remember that the meek shall inherit the earth!

    Repent and be Baptized

Works do not save. Only believing God will result in salvation. However, faith that does not bear out in evidence is not real faith and cannot save. That is why we are told that faith without works (evidence) cannot save because it is not genuine.

Hi Thelma. In this small section in Hebrews 12:22-24, we see the Hebrews writer describing the view of Heaven as it should appear to all believers in Christ. The other view, vv 18-21, was of Mt. Sinai, where the old Law was given accompanied with magnificent sights, fires, thunders, & severe punishment for any who came close to it.

As Christians, Mt. Sinai has no bearing on us, where the Judgement of God was ready to pour out on the disobedient. Now our view is of Mt. Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem, where judgement is passed & only worship, praise, & thanksgiving given to the Lord God & to His Son Jesus Christ. And why is this so? Because all in Heaven now (aside from the heavenly beings), are those of the redeemed of the Lord: the general assembly (all believers from all over the world are represented); the Church of the firstborn (I think implies the early Church built upon Christ & the apostles); the spirits of just men made perfect (again, all believers made just & holy through Christ, & are now perfected (all stain of sin & corruption finally removed)). And of course in verse 24, "And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel"; the Lamb of God who now sits at the right Hand of the Father, as the One Who through His Blood & ushering in of the New Covenant of Grace, will always be our view in this glorious heavenly vista.

And the chapter goes on to remind those in the Church on Earth to serve God with reverence & godly fear because of all that Jesus has attained for us & by the witnesses around the Throne - those who have been redeemed from the Earth & living in continual worship & praise to the One Who gave Himself for us. But there was this warning, as in other parts of Hebrews, to those who were not true believers, who despised the Truth & trying to infect others with their teachings, bringing in their own message - they would not escape God's Wrath.

Richard, I don't believe that John 3:5 speaks of water baptism, as the verses around it shows. In verse 3, Jesus speaks of a spiritual birth to get into the Kingdom. Verse 4: Nicodemus is thinking, a physical re-birth - an impossibility of course. Verse 6: Jesus clarifies that the 'water' alludes to the physical birth, while the 'spirit' alludes to the spiritual birth.

To make verse 5 mean that one has to be water baptized to be born again is not only inconsistent with the passage, it then raises the matter of carrying out a physical act to accompany 'faith', to bring about salvation; we are saved only by God's Grace through faith & nothing else. To add anything to faith, negates its very meaning. Marke is correct that water baptism is merely an act, after saving faith & reception of the Spirit, demonstrating a personal & public testimony of a change of one's direction & alignment with the merits of Christ's Sacrifice. In those days, such a public demonstration incurred great costs to the new Christian, as even today in countries where the Cross of Christ is despised, something not seen or felt in countries having a Christian foundation.
