    Hello AyinRaah,

I agree with the verse you shared, but do not agree with your interpretation of it.

It says: "but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them."

That means Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob did not know His name. That's all it says.

However, your interpreted that to mean more than what it actually says, "God said very clearly, those who call me by "Jehova" do not know me,"

No, God did not say that. For example, you don't know my name unless I volunteer it to you. That doesn't mean somehow that if you say my name that you magically don't know me- or that you would be disowned if you said it.

It's important to read the Bible literally and to not inadvertently add to it.

This is the correct Bible verse.

    Link

"And I appeared vnto Abraham, vnto Isaac, and vnto Iacob, by the Name of God Almighty, but by my name IEHOVAH was I not knowen to them."

YHWH's name is not pronounced [Yah-How-Wha] phonetically. Similarly, Iesus's name is not pronounced "Yeh-Shoo-Ah". His name is repeated throughout scripture as Iesus [Jee-Zus].

YHWH's is referred to as "The All Mighty", "The Alpha and Omega", "I Am", "Breath of Life". Saying [Yah-Way], or [Jeh-Ho-Vah] is not his name. YHWH are the letter that express the Lord's name. Similarly, you would call someone name "Jon" [Jay-Oh-En]. It's like trying to say his name by speaking out letters.

Jesus said a number of things at the last meeting that His disciples heard. The Evangelists chose to record what The Holy Spirit lead each to do.

    See Mark 16:14-19.

See Luke 24:44-51 and Acts 1:3-8. Seems that Doctor Luke might have run out of scroll writing his Gospel and continued his account at the beginning of The Acts of The Apostles. Acts1:9-11 continues with The Ascension.

John recorded nothing related to this event.

So I'd assume that all these things were said by Jesus and that they saw Jesus ascend to The Father. "But some doubted." Matt 28:17.

David, may the Spirit grace you with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

The angel of the Lord of the old testament is the same as Jehovah of the old testament and is the same that came in the flesh that we know as Jesus Christ and is now back in the glorified body he has had since he was begotten of the Father. The angel of the Lord is a man in a glorified body, Jehovah is a man in a glorified body. Jehovah set aside his glorified body and took upon himself a body like sinful flesh and was manifest as the man Jesus Christ who died for us to reconcile his brothers and sisters to the Father. Then at his resurrection took back the glorified body he laid down for us. Let's look at some of the scriptures that shed light on this. All angels have glorified bodies like their archangel the angel of the Lord.

Exodus 3:2 The angel of the Lord appeared to him (Moses) in a flame of fire......

Exodus 3:14 And God (Jehovah) said unto Moses (as the angel of the Lord out of the burning bush)I AM that I AM.....

John 8:58 .... before Abraham was, I AM.

Genesis 18:1 And the Lord appeared unto him (Abraham).....

Genesis 18:2 And he (Abraham) lift up his eyes and looked, and lo, THREE MEN stood by him...

Genesis 18:22 And the (two) men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the Lord (Jehovah, the third man).

Genesis 32:24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man.....

Hosea 12:4 Yet he (Jacob) had power over the angel......

Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entered angels unawares.

Psalm 103:20 Bless ye the Lord, ye HIS ANGELS....

Meditate upon the implications this last verse implies.

There are many more scriptures that parallel the angel, Jehovah and Jesus Christ, but not enough space in 2000 words to write them all.

Ask for the Spirits wisdom and understanding and YE SHALL RECEIVE.

  • Connie - In Reply on Ephesians 2 - 5 years ago
This is the love of God sewn in my heart. These are the words that God has given me. I return these words to God and show you how much I love God and how i constantly seek him out for myself. I am here to share my simplicity of how God has touched my life. I have never been wise.

The smallest of all three me's

    is in my youngest memories..

In the green pastures i will forever find her there ...

Beside the still waters she plays without a care...

By her tiny right hand God led her to this place...

He let her little body fall

And set a choice all Gods children face...

No words were spoken by her Heavenly Father that fleshy ears would hear...

Her soul was gathered in God's love that innocently was without fear...

He gave her the choice of live or to die..

She chose to live and she told her Heavenly Father why..

She knew by death ... here she would remain..

In the presence of God's love .. no words can explain..

    She answered

"i would like to live so i can play"

God restored her soul. By his gift of life. ...is the very breath she breathed..

Where she had fallen as dead upon the grass ..

Her first death has come to pass...

    God opened her eyes

    She was able to see...

There was no veil to divide....

God opened her ears to hear.. upon her heart he wrote his law for her life she would abide..

He planted a seed and its hidden in her heart...

Such a gift found in the words she sews....

In Gods love she continues to grow..

Sacha thank you for understanding. When i say " blind faith" it means that when i call upon God for understanding i rely on how the scriptures are shown to me without looking for a certain scripture to justify what I have been told to believe. I can not begin to understand what no man can declare to understand. God has always been present in my life. In a personal way. His living word has been my guide for my blind faith to accept what he has set in front of me. A choice to love the Lord God and have no other equal to or above him. To obey the commandment and not question it, blind faith to search out God's word for personal accounting of my own thoughts and declarations. This i will be judged by. As in this

22But what is commanded thee, think thereupon with reverence, for it is not needful for thee to see with thine eyes the things that are in secret.23Be not curious in unnecessary matters: for more things are shewed unto thee than men understand.24For many are deceived by their own vain opinion; and an evil suspicion hath overthrown their judgment.

How can you say no one is righteous? Job is perfect and upright and he fears God. Job 2:3. The fear of God is to hate evil. Job hated evil. Job 1:1 "Job...was perfect and upright and feared god."

Job 2:9 "Then said (1) his wife unto him, Doest thou still retain thine integrity? curse God , and die." The cross reference (1) sends me to Gen. 3:6 where Eve eats of the tree of good and evil and so did Adam. Job's wife said the same as Eve said to Adam. But Job said, "thou speakest as one of the foolish women." He know who the foolish people were. The foolish are speaking of those given to unnatural sex as stated in Romans, professing to be wise they became fools. Job would not join his wife in foolish. Noah was perfect, Gen 6:9 "Noah was a just man and perfect."

    The just have wisdom:

    Characteristics of the just:

Pro. 10:20, "The tongue of the just is as choice silver"

Pro. 10:31, "The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom."

Pro. 4:18, "But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the

    perfect day

Ps 7:9, "Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins." When an unjust person returns to God they will be justified, made just again.

I have a partial list of those in the Bible who are just and perfect.

    S Spencer,

"The difference is we help build this country the way it is, "" ALL OF US""

If you want to include yourself, I don't know you well enough to object,

however, "all" is an accusation against brethren, and we both know who

    is famous for that.

America is one of the least ungodly nations on Earth. The bedrock is

the Constitution, created with biblical principles in the minds of the

writers. It is a contract between the people who understand their

political rights come from God, and the government. The people agree to comply

with the government when the government follows the Constitution/law. The

problem we have today is that the governing bodies are departing from

following the Constitution. You can't legislate people to be saved.

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people". It is

wholly inadequate to the government of any other." - John Adams

Too many Americans are strangers to the word of God.

To your point, believers have a part in shaping our society but the decline

in morality is not something "all" believers must bear. I am persuaded that

laodicean lukewarmness is on the rise in representing the church in the

world today. A seduction of wealth and goods has blinded many a local

church from seeing it's need for a lord to rule and a purpose to accomplish.

That church is neither hot/soothing or cold/refreshing to our Lord. Workers

in the harvest are sparse and that ought not to be. All is not lost, because

our Lord is still offering Laodiceans gold, to repentent ones.

It is laziness to project the end of times is near and all world wrongs will be

righted in some biblical cataclysmic event, when instead, working to increase

the harvest of souls is indeed something of our Lords will we know pleases him.

That repentence could usher in a revival of the true church with godly believers.

    Why rant/vent here?
  • Steve Anderson on Romans 6:6 - 5 years ago
Mankind was cursed the day Adam chose to be his own God,

Jesus overcame the curse, he was tempted in all points such as we are yet without sin,

He always did those things which pleased his father.

Jesus never gave himself to the lusts of the flesh, the lust of the eyes or the pride of life.

    HE NEVER KNEW INIQUITY,

Ironic that Even Jesus could not accomplish what he did with out the spirit of his father abiding in him..
