    This is such an awesome verse, and it says so much about the Masterplan God has in store for each and everyone of His creation if only they had ears to hear and a heart for redemption. I know that if the Holy Spirit moves on you you have a chance at knowing what repentance is. Why the Holy Spirit moves on some and not others is a mystery to me. But, i do not question the mighty hand of God. So many souls are walking right into hell every hour, every minute. Thank You Father for saving a sinful wretch like me. I was on that highway to hell. You in your Divine Mercy spared my life once, And even after like a dog returning to its bile. You accepted me back like the prodigal I was. Jesus, thank You that by the power of Your Holy Spirit, You delivered me from a state of chronic alcohol addiction, a serious addiction to crack cocaine, and a serious sex addiction. Father you've provided me a sober, clean life, a life void of any addiction to sex or pornography, for the last, going on nine years. But, the years don't matter. What matters is being in Your will.

    Jesus is more beautiful than anyone or anything we thought was beautiful. He is ordinary in appearance. Power no one can comprehend with our finite comprehension.

    He's not way far away from us. There's like a veil we can't see through. "See through a glass darkly..."

    When we pray He is most certainly hearing us. Not big oratory prayers, but speaking heart to heart. We should be still and listen more.

    Love that envelopes.

    We gotta get over this endless dissecting and disagreeing over scripture and begin to use our skills to help others. Be disciples; not scribes. Peace.

    I have a lawn care business and i have been lookig for good help for a long time have prayed many times but l have nit found any good help, also i have always been a dreamer god has shown me things through dreams since i was 4 but this year yhey have left me if there is a reason for this i would love to no but i really want them to come back one last thing blood pressure keeps going up. if you could pray for these i thank you very much and pray gods blessings upon you.

    Pray that i am persistent in prayers in receiving this divine restraining order from God immediately, asking God to hear from the Holy Spirit to receive an abundance of financial blessing immediately, protection, and praising him through it

    As you see more of God's Hand at work in your life & in people around you, I pray that it will be for the increasing of your faith & love - not only towards the Lord but to others as well. It is difficult to love others when they despise you, but we can still love them for the Lord's sake & do good to them ( Matthew 5:44). Your life will be enriched & blessed.     You say that you want to forgive them & you have done so. Now just let God handle them & continue His work in you & heal you. You can't erase the past but you can cover it with your forgiving spirit & Christ's love & life in you. Read Philippians chapter 4 carefully when you have time. The Apostle Paul was writing to the Church at Philippi & gave them some important advice. Two ladies, Euodias & Syntyche (v2) were at odds with each other & Paul wanted them to 'forgive & forget'. He goes on to give the qualities that Christians should be pursuing for healthy minds & relationships: rejoice in all circumstances (v4); don't be anxious but cast your concerns onto the Lord & leave them with Him - His Peace will then come to you (vv 6,7); remove the sad & ugly thoughts you have & replace them with thoughts that engender purity & loveliness in others - try to see the good in others rather than focussing on the bad (v8); be content with who you are & what you have - God is in control (v11); Paul testified that he could all things & be all things that God wanted him to be only because of Jesus, Who gave him the 'strength' = the will, desire & enabling to override his circumstances, which often were quite terrible. Was Paul perfect in his life? No. Even he confessed that he was weak & could only find his strength in Christ's Grace & Power in his life: 2 Corinthians 12:9, "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." He actually welcomed 'problems', so that he could prove the power & enabling of the risen Christ in his life!

    I really and truly hope that my experiences will help others be freed from not knowing why they feel like the world is against them for some reason. It's everybody; not just one religion. The study of genealogies showed me that evil can work in the background, undetected, and innocent relatives are persecuted. When I was saved I was found interpreting reading on a horoscope I had calculated. My Methodist drinking buddy said it all seems to ring true, "but the Bible says it's NOT!" (Denies the Power of God)

    The Lord appeared in a vision over her face. I saw His face looking right at me. I went into shock. My friend left suddenly. I might have creeped her out. I finally got up and fetched the one Bible I had, but had never read. I didn't know how to read it. It's like someone said to look up stars, then: astrologers, everything, till I saw the Death Sentence on them. I put my head on the Bible and said I deserve to die. That's when I saw a vision of hell. It was like snakes looking worms and roots. It was foul and nasty beyond comprehension. I stood on a chair. Minutes later I perceived a hand was held out above me. I didn't see it but I put my hand up and reached for it. I fell off the chair to the floor but hell was gone. I passed out but I know I was touched and delivered from demons. I heard me screaming.

    I woke up next morning and I cannot describe the silence. No sound, just peace and calm. I had received the Holy Spirit but I had to learn who He is. It took half a day to rid my home of idols, occult books, drugs, alcohol. I dragged it out to the garage. Next day my friend returned and she was the first person I told I had been saved. I asked her to help me drag the can outside. I poured charcoal lighter over it and set it on fire. Acts 19:19. I dedicated it and me to the Lord. 36 yrs ago on Yom Kippur.

    Jesus is alive and He is so powerful. Nothing can tear us out of his hands. The Bible is LIFE; living. No truth withheld. He is Truth!

    Hi Claire. Thanks for sharing that personal & hurtful part of your early years. Sadly, we hear of such experiences much too often & so many young people are scarred for life, sometimes even replicating their pain to others. So I am, & no doubt others reading what you've shared, are saddened by this & really, if it wasn't for the Lord's intervention, we would lead totally miserable & disjointed lives. It may be that because of these events in your life, that the Lord has worked in your heart to point you to him for comfort & direction. If this is so (or something on those lines), then that could be included in the first part of your testimony (without the specifics of course) declaring your sadness & hopelessness which might have been the grounds for the Spirit to reveal Jesus to you & draw you to the Cross.

    I can understand the difficulty you're in with emotionally dealing with your father & his girlfriend. What has happened in the past, sadly will always remain in the back of our minds, but when we are 'in Christ', then His healing touches all those points of mental & emotional pain. You can't change how people feel or perceive things about you, but you can focus on the One Who can help & change YOU. Forgiveness is the first key element in one's healing because an unforgiving heart not only brings a disconnection with the Lord but continues to eat away in the person bringing on both spiritual & physical problems.

    The only references we have on Peter's end of life is in John 21:18, 19: Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me."

    And, 2 Peter 1:14: "Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me."

    Church tradition claims that Peter was crucified upside down as he didn't want his crucifixion to resemble the Lord's. This thought developed from Jesus' Words to Him about his hands (arms) being stretched out, but that seems a long stretch of the imagination. He was crucified in Rome & he knew that time was fast approaching but we get no more details in the Bible. You may have seen that quote in some extra-biblical source.

    His name was Gehazi, Elisha's servant. You can see his name come up several times in 2 Kings chapters 4, 5 & 8.

    Indeed Fred, that's a blessed experience: to see our beloved Lord Jesus in the midst of our stormy lives, running to Him, cleaving to Him rather than focusing on the storm that seeks our ruin.

    Thank you for your reply. It says in 1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. I know God/Jesus wants fellowship with us, Christians struggle & God works all things for good. When you say that you feel God in my spirit, Is it like a voice coming from within your chest ? I experienced that once, but when I told my pastor & he told me to just ignore it & now I feel like I'm going crazy. I know God knows our heart & if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins & cleanse us from all unrighteousness, but Psalms 66:18 says - If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear [me] and Isaiah 59:2 says - But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid [his] face from you, that he will not hear. I am struggling with unforgiveness, so I don't think that God hears me. The church I go to all read the KJV Bible, but I don't always agree with the pastors interpretation of it & they don't believe that the spiritual gifts are for everyone & say that they were only for the disciples & that if we all have the gifts then we should all be able to walk on water & heal the sick. Mark 16.17-18 says - And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Nobody speaks in tongues at this church, but a lot did at my old church.

    Thank you for your words of comfort & encouragement. P.s does anyone ever feel their body vibrating ? I've felt this a few times, but can't find a reasonable explanation for it. I feel like I'm on crazy pills sometimes.

    Hello Hilda,

    I actually looked into this a little while ago to find the difference also. A disciple is a follower or a student of a teacher. Learning. An apostle is when that student goes out and actually teaches others, what they have learned, from their master or teacher.

    Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

    But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

    Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

    For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

    How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? ( Hebrews 9:6-14)

    If we are to receive the Holt Spirit when we are born again why did the people in Samaria not receive Him when Philip baptize them in verse 15 16 and 17 in chapter 8. Not sure why Peter and John had to lay hands on them to receive the Holy Spirit.

    b. How do you know if you're saved? If you've come to God through Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, then He saves you & never rejects any who He draws to Himself. The gift of the Holy Spirit is proof of the changed life, also new joy in being redeemed rather than the gloom you had while living without God, a hunger for the things of God as you're showing here, to be like your Saviour & share Him with others. You will see God doing new & wonderful things in your life, even getting you a cheaper carpet, answering prayer, strength to face difficult times with a sure hope - all things to show you His Love & evidence of being His child. The thing that God always looks for is our faith to trust Him for the impossible or when things get bad. Spending time in His Word & just talking to Him & praising Him for Who He is, helps us to love & trust Him more.

    c. What your pastor is seeking. When he's wanting your salvation testimony, he wants to know whether you have come to Jesus in the way I mentioned above. He wants to make sure that your testimony towards water baptism is real & enduring. What should happen is the person who leads you to the Lord should be the one to baptize you or testify of your change of heart. But this doesn't usually happen, as people get baptized months or years after they were saved. So the pastor really needs to know what experience you have had & you're not coming for baptism for some wrong reason or motive. So your Testimonies 1 & 2 really show how God has helped you to find peace & sense conviction after salvation. These are good testimonies, but you need to share with your pastor what took place in your life to bring you to salvation & the sense of joy & peace you received after you repented & laid your sins at the Cross. But, these are my words - I don't know your story - yet I can see your love for the Lord. Hope some of this helps. Sara J. has also share some good things, so she may want to help you with this also.

    Kenneth; frist of all we can not let others keep us from God thru Jesus .It is your eternal soul that is at stake .

    That is way the Word tells us to search out our own salvation .It does not matter who actually hung Jesus on the cross .

    Jesus dyed on the cross as a substitute for each of us as the. spotless Lamb

    that was required by GODS law to fulfill the law and the prophets .It was my sins and the sins of all mankind that put Jesus on the cross. It is hard to separate carnal (earthly) from sprit . Please do not let other keep you from coming to CHRIST .The word tells us to study the Word so that we can tell what is from GOD or the devil who come to(kill, steal and destroy ) It is your eternal Soul at stake ,and all thru the Word it says to endure to the end trusting in JESUE and him alone .I pray this is a help because I have been where you are hurt by church ,hurt by people that I had earthly trust in ,but I have NEVER been hurt by Jesus Christ ,even though we have to go though. things that if we hold onto Christ It will build your faith as we look back and see how God brought us through . May God Bless you and give you Faith in Jesus till the end .

    I am 72-years old and I can tell you from the word of God that none of us is good. That is why Jesus came. Please believe me when I say that God hears every pray you pray and the most important thing he wants with you is fellowship. How many people do you know have seen a burning bush? Maybe those who are looking up, should look down. I came from a family of 10 and a very Godly home. Even the best of Christians struggle with the same things. Just remember God may not answer your prayers immediately. He is working out what is best for you and all involved, but rest assured, he will answer your prayers. Sometimes I feel God in my spirit and sometimes I don't. That doesn't mean that he has forsaken me. I read from the KJV. You keep doing what you are doing. God knows your heart and we all sin, but God is faithful and just to forgive us if we confess the sin AND the sweetest thing is that he remembers it no more. If you are attending a church that does not preach TRUTH (by that I mean that it does not line up with the scriptures) RUN RUN RUN. They are a cult and you do not need to be there. I hope this helps you and I pray that God will open your heart and mind to his truth.

    my wife is catholic. she has told me that she never read the bible nor was encouraged to do so. I have read the bible most of my life and can honestly say that even though I didn't always understand it it had an impact on who I was and have become. The kingdom of god is ours now, because of Christ. When you experience the kingdom, you will have joy, joy unspeakable.
