Josiah, the Bible is both an historical book & a spiritual book. It gives us the history of God's creation of the first humans & also His dealing with mankind because of the intrusion of sin in each of our lives (i.e. acts that we do that go against the Will & Holiness of God). No other religion, philosophy, or history book gives us such details with a continuous thread running from beginning to end. Man ultimately must turn to the Bible to learn of his past, present & the future.

So, if the Bible declares some uncomfortable disturbing facts in our minds (as in Exodus chapter 11 & many other Scriptures), we can rest assured that it was given for both an historical purpose & for our learning. From the example you gave, I learn how wicked man can be (as seen in Pharaoh & his henchmen). I also learn of God's Power to overrule the stubbornness of man & bring to nought the high-mindedness of Pharaoh (they were considered as supreme rulers or even gods). And I see the Mercy of God to save His people out of cruel bondage as He promised & that it took the death of all the firstborn in Egypt for the Pharaoh to finally let God's people leave.

Many folk, might only see the needless death of so many children & cattle, & that is tragic indeed. But many had to die, as they do today, because of the hard-heartedness & ineptness of their leaders. Many innocent people & children die because of wars, famines & diseases: & all these come upon us because we are sinners & we have raised our fists against the Almighty One instead of falling prostrate before Him in humbleness & repentance. If the Bible didn't relate the whole Truth of the matter, then we might be deluded to think that all is well with our souls & in the world, when in fact we need to know that there are repercussions for our sins & the wicked acts we do to others. Even as in 2 Peter 3:9 we read that the Lord is "longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

    Hi Jesus Ortiz.

God's goal for man was fulfilled in Jesus. That is the reason He is called the "last Adam"-the first Adam failed so miserably. The Lord Jesus is also called the "second man," not the last man. God sent Him into the world to become a man, and He is the second one, because after Adam it says, "And Adam begot a son in his likeness." He was a sinner; and ever since, Adams have been sinners. All of us are Adams.

We come into this world as children of Adam. When we are born again we become children of God.

1 Corinthians 15:45-49. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

    We've been Justified,

    We're beeing sanctified.

    One day we'll Glorified.

    I Hope that helps.

    God bless.

Yes, people can get confused about such topics. People can be deceived into believing and doing all kinds of things not supported by God's word. The Bible is clear and you asked a question and received an answer. God bless.

J Vernon Mcgee on Marks of a false teacher.

    Part 2 of 2.

Many Christians today will follow a liberal preacher, a false shepherd. There's always that danger, and it's one of the things Paul is warning of. He says the devil makes himself an angel of light. If you could really see him I think you'd see the most beautiful creature you've ever seen, and you can be deceived. There are abroad today many men who are handsome, dignified, never say an unkind word, just lovey-dovey all the way through. But they're apostles of Satan, you see. Nothing in the world but ministers of his. Now that is one group of false teachers, and I think they're easily detected today.

Now I come to another group, and that is the religious racketeer. I listened to one of them on the radio. Why, he preached the gospel, friends! He even believes in the inerrancy of Scripture. But Paul says beware of those that are taking you away from the simplicity of Christ. Now I detect one little thing in this man's teaching: It involves the idea of sending you little gadgets and going through all kinds of little performances and rituals. It takes you pretty far from the Word of God. That is taking you away from the simplicity that's in Christ. My friend, you and I are lost sinners and we come to Jesus Christ bringingnothingand receivingeverythingfrom Him. And if you're able to give, if you're able to serve, if you're able to witness - that all comes from Him. You can't do anything for Him without being filled by the Holy Spirit. That's the real test. You see, it's so easy to get away from the simplicity that is in Christ.

J Vernon Mcgee on Marks of a false teacher.

    Part 1 of 2.

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works" ( 2 Corinthians 11:3,4,13-15). What are the marks of a false teacher or prophet? First of all, the man today who denies the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ is in the camp of liberalism, and Paul has labeled him a false prophet. That's why I'm rather hardboiled on the liberal preacher. You have a perfect right to deny the deity of Christ, but you have no right to claim to be a preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ and then deny the very One that you are preaching. And then "apostle" is a title that doesn't belong to anybody today, so the minute anyone takes that title you can mark him off your list. The office of the apostles went out a long time ago, after the death of the original apostles and those who saw the living Christ. After that it's the written record that they gave to us that we are to turn to.

    To be Continued.

It will always bring glory to the name of Jesus. If you asked a question, you may receive a scripture. You must find the scripture and pray. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you the meaning.

His voice is soft. It does not stampede you. Always write it down. Praise and worship the name of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ.

Your heart will soar with joy unspeakable. Song of Solomon 5:2, 6:3, 7:10. He does speak to our spirit. Our soul does fall deeper in love...with the Lover of our souls.

This is deeper than male or female.

This is spiritual. This is a love in the spirit; between us and our Lord. The more time we spend with Him; the more precious is the love we give and receive.

Everything he speaks is Truth. Heaven will be like this. We can't mob Jesus. He can speak to us individually and personally, at the same time. That's how great He is.

I just want all to know they can stand this close to Jesus now. Take freely, the Water of Life.

Welcome to the world of The Antichrist. He doesn't want you to think or speak the Name of Jesus.

The same time Covid was revealed, government started closing down the churches. The church is still being persecuted! They want us to blame Jesus and His Church, for not warning us.

Type CHINA in this website SEARCH BOX. See what you see. China and Mideastern nations will be responsible for 3 PLAGUES (mass death events). The info has been in the Bible for 2000+ years. We all had a chance to discover that. But what do we do? We discuss and confuse people with varying explanation of scripture. Matthew 24 and Luke 21, scream it out.

SATAN IS A MASTER DECEIVER!! HE WANTS PEOPLE DEAD..and in hell with HIM!! If you were a very bad devil, what would you do? yes! This is the BLACK HORSEMAN OF DEATH. Unleashed.

Not only does the blood of JESUS save us; it inoculates us against disease. WE HAVE TO EXERCISE OUR FAITH and ASK for it. We must be Born Again through Jesus, into the Kingdom of God. Gotta walk in the Liberty HE has provided.

Your faith is strangling on POLITICAL PEOPLE who clearly do not follow Jesus Christ. Everyone became a mob (like the day They sentenced Jesus to die on the Cross). Prophesy is going to come true when people even know what that is. READ THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES.

Folks, read your Bibles. Pray over what you have read. Go look on google at the Past Pandemics List. Those are plagues. See where they came from. Ask your Senators and Reps. to sanction China foods, meat, everything. Demand that Big Business do the same. For the sake of our children.

Don't freak out. Think rationally. Make your vote be for LIFE. It's not a game of thrones.

I think Elijah and Moses are the Two Witnesses. That comes later.

I think the spirit of Elijah is here already. Along with the voices of false prophets.

So if anyone prophesies In the Name of God, and it doesn't come to pass; we are to not give them credibility or credence.

What we need to do is to read and soak it up like a sponge, what the Bible says about Elijah's life and ministry. It involves a lot of reading and taking some notes. Listen to some Greg Laurie videos on YouTube.

It takes much effort to be a 2021 Disciple of Jesus Christ. We have to learn it, teach it, and then preach it to the unlearned. Credit goes to Jesus Christ. Our reward is many more people readied for the Caught Up In The Clouds event.

We must ask the Holy Spirit to anoint us for the task. 1 Corinthians 12, ask for the best gifts for you.

This is the generation of Joel 2. And it has to be in your heart to be a part of that.

The arm of the Flesh cannot "Steady the Ark of God". We need the Anointing of the Holy Spirit. I'm thinking after Jesus went up in the clouds that His Disciples did not fuss or argue over what would become scripture later. Think about that.

There's going to be a huge push on evangelism. There are a lot of Matthew 24 SIGNS in the earth right now. 3 million Californians have moved elsewhere in the USA. They believe in the earthquake part; massive fires; landslides, droughts, no rainfall. That's 3 mil. we can witness to. If you got saved..you know enough to help someone else believe on Jesus. Leave some tracts on bus and park benches; laying on a sidewalk outside a Costco store or Goodwill.

At the Bema seat rewards/no rewards judgment your works will appear as gold if you helped someone believe.

I heard a Christian tell how he got saved. One Christian brother asks the other brother in front of an unbeliever, " Did you know Jesus died for our sins?!" The other guy says " why no! Tell me about it". It works :D

    Think about it.

Free I understand and respect your input, that being said why would the apostle Paul say in 1 Corinthians 14:8 to the entire Corinthian church that he thanked God he spoke in tongues more than ye all and why would God take the Time in His Word to the Church from Chapter 12 to the end of 14 what to do and not to do but that things are done decent and in order. Keep something in mind this guy was given direct orders by Jesus Christ to preach and instruct the Church Jews and Gentiles. I am not saying I have always witnessed these things being done correct far from. Example I went to an assembly invited by a friend and the preacher walked up to the pulpit picked up a phone and literally told the congregation he was getting His Message from God on what to say. My friend said what do you think I said not buying it God doesn't need a phone to talk to anybody. So again peacefully I say God Bless and I'm done with this.

I'm with you Kenneth , maybe you have some English blood in you , we are mostly very private people , in person I am painfully shy and reserved , the only reason I can talk so freely on here is because if the anonymity , in my congregation women have their heads covered and their mouths closed , we have a weekly Bible class and for many decades women were not permitted to speak a word during it , we got a new presiding brother who decide to allow women to speak at our Bible class so I stopped going . The reason is because , on more than one occasion I have heard brethren say things that I believe we're wrong , in the past when this happened I couldn't say anything about it and this was very frustrating to me , however when we were aloud to speak I realised I just couldn't do it , even if a brother says something I think is wrong there is no way I'm going to embarrass him or myself by correcting him in front of our entire congregation , then I realised that one day I might do just that and that would be terrible for everyone . So I stopped going , basically because I don't trust myself and would never forgive myself for offending any of my congregation with my big stupid mouth . We don't have any one that speaks in tongues or shouts out during our services , we English are reserved to say the least and English Christians are the most reserved .

Adam Just to make one point the apostle paul made the statement I Corinthians 14:18, I will not deny how many times I've watched the confusion with this area of christianity, but when things are done in proper order it does Glorify God. That is all that's on my heart to say. God Bless. There's a great statement I learned a long time ago experience is no guarantee when it comes to truth especially when it comes to spiritual matters and I realise that statement can go both ways.

    J Vernon Mcgee.

    Part 3.

"When I lived on the east coast in my younger years, there was a beautiful big maple tree in our backyard that would keep its leaves through the winter. The leaves were dead, but they still hung on to the branches. In the spring when the sap flowed, the new buds would finally push off the dead leaves. That's what happens when the Spirit of God grows His life in us-He pushes the old habits out of our lives as our new life in Christ grows stronger. Rather than try to pick off all the dead leaves and try to grow new leaves ourselves, we need to focus instead on cultivating our relationship with God and let the Holy Spirit deal with all the dead leaves." -J. Vernon McGee.

    God bless.
  • S Spencer - 4 years ago
    J Vernon Mcgee.

    Part 2 of 3.

Paul was speaking to believers when he said:

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. - Galatians 6:7-9

I personally believe that's a law of God, just like the law of gravity. If a farmer sows corn, you can be sure that he'll reap corn. If he sows wheat, he'll reap wheat. My friend, as a believer, if you are sowing to the flesh, you "will of the flesh reap corruption." There is no way around it.

Now, the child of God does not have to produce these things. We can produce the fruit of the Spirit. God has another principle:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. - Galatians 5:22, 23

You can't produce these fruit by following the Law; in fact, there is not one of these lovely fruits that you can produce on your own. We are totally incapable; it can only be produced by the Holy Spirit."For the fruit of the Spirit,"Paul says in Ephesians 5:9,"is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth."You can know whether you are living by the flesh or living in the power, in the fullness, of the Holy Spirit by seeing if He is producing these fruits in your life.

    Part 3 coming.
