Hello, Jesus came everyone- do you believe this? Everyone is lost without Him. Matthew 1:21, 1 John 2:2, 1 John 3:8.

False teachers are claiming that everyone is saved regardless and you don't even need to follow Jesus or do anything at all. Some say you can enjoy yourself, commit unlimited sin, follow and worship satan, because it doesn't matter. Based on this lie, I'm sure many would enjoy using that as justification to commit sin tonight: maybe have an affair, do drugs, lie, steal, commit violence, and do whatever your heart desires, and all the things God hates. None of this info comes from the Bible. Jesus said the opposite of what people are spewing here. If Jesus was here today they would likely call Him names, like legalistic or unloving or unaccepting. People are embracing the values of the world over the God's values. Jesus warned everyone to NOT SIN and be NOT of this world. People are twisting things to justify themselves living and following the world and assume they are saved when they are not. The end will be exactly as Jesus predicted: Matthew 7:21.

People at least can't say they weren't warned. But the false teachings about people saying there's no hell, no sin, no this or that is all lies. It's like the devil himself posting lies. A lot of cherrypicking and scripture ignoring must happen to make such a conclusions and it begs the question if everyone is already saved then why read the Bible or spread the gospel if what they say is true? Really sad to see that on a Bible site where 1 click away God's word debunks it. God bless...

Teresa don't know if you are serious. If you are here you go read Genesis 1: 1- 31. God was creating life the entire chapter but created man in verse 1: 26. Does that help? you can read the whole book to fully understand what all took place in Genesis.

Does Israel have no shame for what they do to the Palestinians? Israel should stop taking and return lands they've stolen. Compare the 1947 map of Israel to the 2021 map. This will end badly, the hatred is palpable.

The third temple will not be built by Ashkenazi Jews, the third temple will be built by anti-Christ himself, and most likely built in three days (Vegas style). The lying signs and wonders.

Sister GiGi, God CAUSES US to seek these TRUTHS, they are like a hidden treasure.

The Scribes and Pharisees were the theologians at the time of Christ, he constantly upbraided them for LITERALLY knowing the scriptures, but not having KNOWLEDGE of what they meant, because it is a HIDDEN treasure.

He CHOSE fisherman and SINNERS to be GIVEN KNOWLEDGE through the Holy Spirit.

He does the same TODAY, I am not saying ALL, but those that have numerous doctorate degrees, are often like the learned in Christ day, they often LITERALLY know the scriptures, but don't know the hidden treasure, in what they mean.

    God Bless You!

I have a friend, just a janitor, but rich in the knowledge of the Lord.

He has attended the same church for 45 years, yet when their pastor left, the members, instead of considering someone more than qualified, to teach and lead, told him he didn't have a seminary degree so he wasn't qualified.

This is partly what's wrong with our churches. Our church don't follow Christ's examples or words, but do what looks best in mans eyes. Seminaries CANNOT teach the THINGS that are REVEALED by SPIRIT.

Israel first starts its restoration when antichrist builds the third temple.

Jerusalem gets fully restored after the thousand years of Christ's rain. The new city of Jerusalem will come down representing Christ's bride.

In the afterlife it doesn't matter how accurate you were in the forehand life because you'll get what's coming to you.

I find it astonishing that God would put the 12 bumbling apostles over the sealed saints but I don't make the rules.

    Acts 16:30

And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

    Acts 4:12

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?

    John 3:3-5

    3. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, EXCEPT a man be BORN AGAIN, he cannot SEE the kingdom of God.

    4. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

    5. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of the WATER and of the SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Mishael: JESUS openly, for all to see, was scourged; stripped of clothing; made to wear a crown of thorns, and nailed by hands and feet on a cross for all to see.

    They stayed until Jesus died.

His blood ran down from Golgotha, in streams; to redeem the earth.

Hidden did all of this on full display. His last words were recorded. They stayed till they saw him Die.

My question is? What is keeping us from being baptized in water? For all to see. What is the shame?

I did it because I was done with my old life, and I wanted to leave it all in the water.

I do not understand the arguments for or against baptism. It's not a Law. It is sharing in what Jesus did for Me.

    Matthew 3

13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of you, and comest thou to me?

15 And Jesus answering said unto him, "Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to FULFILL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS." Then he suffered him.

16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

I was saved but went the first three plus years smoking pot and drinking and still living in sin. It took a really good men's accountability group in 2001 to get me on track. I learned how to walk the walk. I moved out of my girlfriends house where I had been living as a father figure to her two kids for months. I ended up settling in north Florida with two kids from a wife who knows Christ. We have been blessed to have them home schooled before and during the pandemic. About me, I have an acts of service spirit and enjoy serving and encouraging others.

Brother Adam: does man have any part in salvation.

No he does't; you don't chose me I CHOSE YOU.

God causes you to repent, God causes you to believe, God causes you to love him and your brothers ( Ezekiel 36:27), God causes everything in you life, because it's NOT YOUR LIFE, it's HIS LIFE, we are just the body that holds THE LIFE,

Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD (THE LIFE) that worketh in you both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.

At God's appointed time for each individual to come to Christ, that PERSON will COME, Paul is our example, were are all on the road to hating and killing our brothers, UNTIL CHRIST APPEARS in is, then we declare what will you have me do LORD. We become a labour doing the WORKS OF GOD, of yourself you can do nothing.

Everyone was saved (past tense) by Christ death and resurrection. Now each one individually waits for his APPOINTED TIME for Christ to CALL and that individual will COME, just as PAUL did. A FEW in this AGE the rest in the AGE(S) TO COME.

    Thanks, David.

I understand how you feel. I have not formally studied theology as far as taking courses, but my pastor has helped me by supplying some materials he used while he was in seminary, and I have studied some on my own. My interest in this is to better understand the churches teachings on the nature of God, Jesus, salvation, and other "doctrines" spoken about in the Scripture. Paul did not simply state a doctrine by quoting Scripture and then leaving it at that. He explained spiritual truth using the skills He had learn in is formal training to give other Christians an understandable idea about a truth He was presenting. This is how I use information outside of the Scripture: to explain spiritual truths that I have questions about and deepen my understanding of these things. I believe that Scripture is the final inerrant revelation of God to mankind, but I also believe that He has continued through the centuries to bless some with intellectual gifts to help present Scriptural truths to believers. I think it is wise to review some of these writings, trusting that the Holy Spirit will guide me in my learning.

But not everyone wishes to do this and I understand. Have a good day.

Brother Adam, if the bible was completely accurate there would be no contradiction.

There are contradictions: and the contradictions stem from two things.

The Greek word translated eternity, everlasting, forever and ever and sometimes world; should be AGE or AGE of AGES.

The Greek word hades, translated HELL, should be GRAVE, a place of no perception.

The Greek word, Gehenna, translated HELL, should be Gehenna or Hinnom, as it is in the Old Testament.

Paul said when he was departed from this world grevious wolves would devour the sheep, Revelation warns that the scriptures will be added to or taken from, Revelation says the whole world, including the church has been deceived.

God's words DON'T FAIL, this happened when Paul departed this world.

The CHURCH (Catholic) added and subtracted form God's word, it has deceived and destroyed the flock. We as workmen are to rightly divide deception from truth. Truth always agrees with itself, deception disagrees with itself.

Put those translations in correctly and the bible doesn't contradict .

Jesus instructs us to repent and sin no more. Most bible scripture like this is very clear, and easy to understand.

    John 5:14

"Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee."

    John 8:11

"She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

Many people think they can't stop sinning. Jesus thinks that we can, and he tells us - to stop sinning. Jesus has more faith in us, than we have in him. Jesus can help us to stop sinning, but we need to really have FAITH and believe that we can! Remember the mustard seed.

    Let's pray on this.

    God Bless

Anthony P.S. The Apostle Paul by revelation being shown spiritually had to explain in great length how

to do things of God correctly because the Corinthian believers were way out of order and combining pagan

actions and thought to the things of God. It is the first thing done on the day of Pentecost and in Acts 2:11

Gods Word says they were speaking the wonderful works of God and they were not jumping up and dow

shouting or hitting the floor they decent and in order. Prayerfully this helps.

Hi Anthony You are going to get a few takes on this, one of them praying in the spirit, for the spirit to

come in which is not possible because we already have it. 2 Be too be praying to God quietly about his word

mind with understanding. Third which is what I understand scripturally is speaking in tongues which is

your own private prayer life with God. Now many believe this doesn't exist anymore, or went out with

apostolic age. Also they've seen examples like I have that are so out of order who would want to do that.

Correctly understood all things of God are decent and in order, this manifestation of Gods gift is primarily for

your private prayer life been doing this for 42 years.

I manifested power from on High shortly after confessing Romans 10: 9+10, now like everything

else biblically you have to make up your mind to believe or not. There's got to be something to it because the

Apostle paul said to the church at Corinth that he thanked God he spoke in tongues more than ye all

and keep in mind he was given how the church was suppose to operate. There are 12 benefits to SI.T. biblically.
  • Adam - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Dear Earl,

I didn't understand your response to the topic at hand. It seemed to avoid the main question about what we're saved from, but that's ok. I hope what I wrote was at least considered. I did see your repeating of your belief that the KJV is a 'Catholic' Bible and that's untrue. And your idea that hell doesn't actually mean hell, but something nicer like a cellar or grave isn't true either. The Bible is already translated accurately by a team of experts who spent years methodically and prayerfully doing it word for word. You're one person claiming the opposite with no evidence for it, so I don't find the attacks on God's word as credible. Not sure what your goals are in attacking God's word publicly on a Bible site, but nonetheless, I'm glad you're here.

You asked: "For what purpose did GOD SAVE YOU."

I don't agree with the terminology "saved" past tense, because we haven't been judged yet. The Bible mostly uses the terminology shall or will be saved. Future tense, not past tense, because we are still living and have freewill to follow Jesus or not follow Him. The choice is ours.

Paul in the Bible said to run the race to the end to receive the prize, not the race was already over. 1 Cor 9:24-27

So I don't believe I have been "saved" from anything yet, nor has anyone else on earth, because we haven't been judged as it says we will be in 2 Corinthians 5:10. It says we "all" must appear to be judged. All means all. I understand some think they can skip judgment based on good behavior, but that's not Biblical. All means everyone. Here's another: Romans 14:12 "Every one of us..." 1 Corinthians 4:5. "Every one" means everyone, including Christians and non-Christians. 1 Peter 1:5 - "...salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

But by following Jesus, can we have assurance and confidence in salvation? Yes. Philippians 1:6

If we don't follow Jesus, can we have assurance and confidence in salvation? No. Luke 12:5. Hebrews 10:26

    God bless...

    Roger,

Anointing oil was used for several different things in scripture. If you are wanting to know what the oil consisted of, you might want to read Exodus 30:23-24. That will tell you what you need. However, there is nothing in the bible that suggests to us that we need to put oil on our door post. But also, there is nothing that says it is wrong for us to do so. Personally, I think that if a believer finds comfort in anointing the doorpost of their home with oil, if that makes them feel better, there is nothing in the bible that forbids them to do so.

But as far as what the oil consisted of, it was not regular olive oil or extra virgin olive oil that we have today. So if you are wanting the ingredients, I would look at Exodus 30:23-24. If it were me wanting to anoint my doorpost with oil, I would not care if it were regular olive oil, extra virgin olive oil, or 10W-30, because I'm not sure where I would be able to find those other ingredients mentioned in Exodus.

Gigi Thanks for your reply there's a lot of things I choose not to follow with theology, but there again,

my privilege and yours to choose. I've read to many things that don't line up with scripture by equal

people discussing the same subject. So again on to the next thing.
