Verse 11 says: And the LORD spake unto Moses, face to face, but in verse 20: it says "Thou can not see my face, for there shall no man see me, and live. I'm confused between these two verses. Can someone please explain what the different? Thank you and God bless you.

    Hi Bridget,

Just to give a little reply to your comment. Do you believe we are still under the Old Covenant?

If you believe we are to live by every word in the Bible, Old Testament also, this would mean to still be sacrificing animals for your sins? Or stoning people and putting them to death for certain things? Maybe circumcising of the foreskin of the flesh?

Maybe you mean this is only about the Sabbath being on "saturday"? The Ten Commandments. I really see no problem with that. If people want to keep the "saturday" Sabbath great. Lots of unbelieving Jews, of Jesus Christ, do also. Who stay away from the New Testament.

We are under a New Covenant. This does not mean throw away the Old Testament. There is still much wisdom in the Old Testament. Though if you ONLY read the Old Testament you will have a vail over you as in 2 Corinthians 3:11-16. I very much enjoy reading the Old Testament. Though having the Spirit of Christ to guide me I can feel what is good and still applicable and things that are done away with say in the laws in the Torah. As nine out of the Ten Commandments are in the New Testament and many of the Mitzvot laws are still moral and good. Though now we in Christ are to be led by the Spirit, by grace, not every word of the law. We have God's law on our hearts. Which in one word is Love. Turn from evil and do good. Psalms 37:27, 1 Peter 3:11.

Let us stay focused on following Christ with a pure heart. Be Holy 1 Peter 1:16.

Like I've sated in a post before. I strive to keep every day Holy not just one a week. Always retaining God in my thoughts and living for Him not myself. Romans 6:11-14.

Just like you stated Trust God and He will not lead you astray. Proverbs 3:5-6.

Praise God He hath sent us His Son as His free gift of Salvation. The only way to the Father is through the Son. Jesus Christ our Lord.

God Bless and have a wonderful day.

    Earl,

We are never going to see eye to eye if we both use the same scriptures to interpret different meaning.

The 5-6-7 trumpet scriptures I use are in conjunction with prophetic end-time events, not the idle past. You are reaching too far back for the scriptures to be helpfully relevant to our time. Saying the OT saints were raised up to fill the shoes of the sealed tribes defies logic. How can the one hundred forty four thousand possibly be OT saints when the firstfruits resurrection isn't for another 42 months, when antichrist is defeated at the seventh trumpet? If this were the case, the OT saints would have to die twice, and be resurrected twice.

The one hundred forty four thousand are extraordinary people that live amongst us.

Brother Judge, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

    Revelation 6:12 And I beheld when he had open the SIXTH SEAL, and , lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon turned to blood;

This was fulfilled at CHRIST death and resurrection. This prophecy is in:

Joel 2:3 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE the great and terrible DAY OF THE LORD COME.

The one hundred forty four thousand in Revelation 7 are the Old Testament saints that were raised with Christ at his resurrection.

Matthew 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints WHICH SLEPT AROSE,

Matthew 27:53 And came out of the graves after HIS RESURRECTION, and went into the HOLY CITY (New Jerusalem) and appeared to many.

These Old Testament saints all died in FAITH; but, was never able to receive the promise of eternal life until Christ resurrection. This is shown in:

Hebrews 11:39 And all these, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise (eternal life).

Hebrews 11:40 God having provided some BETTER THING FOR US (eternal life), that THEY without US should not BE MADE PERFECT (accomplished by the death and resurrection of Christ).

YES, thy along with John and all other saints now IN CHRIST are MINISTERING SPIRITS; to us, HERE and NOW.

Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, SENT FORTH to minister FOR THEM WHO SHALL BE HEIRS OF SALVATION.

This is the role of ALL IN CHRIST at the time they are GLORIFIED.

frogs; Rev. 16:13 = Frogs are amphibians and distant zoological relatives to reptiles. In the demonic spiritual realm, these frog-like "unclean spirits" are related to "the dragon" (Satan/Devil; identified twelve times in Revelation), also a spiritually unclean reptile. In the physical world, reptiles eat frogs, but in the spiritual world, the dragon issues one of these frogs from his mouth. How strange are both the physical and the spiritual worlds!

Amphibious frogs are at home in water as they are on land. In the Second Egyptian Plague, frogs issued "abundantly" from the river ( Exo. 8:3). Interestingly, the unholy trinity issues these frogs immediately after the waters of the Euphrates River dries up.

As an unclean animal for dietary consumption, The Jews considered frogs an abomination ( Lev. 11:10-12). Scriptures record the word "frogs" fourteen times, and all references, with this exception, refers to the Second Egyptian Plague ( Exo. 8:2f; Ps. 78:45; 105:30) when GOD sent frogs as an instrument of judgment. GOD can use any created creature to torment and judge the ungodly.

Well you certainly have the part in genesis right but if you go to strong's or an actual study bible you will find a reference to God's covenant in several other books referring to the covenant betwixt Him and abraham,Isaac and Jacob. He refers to the covenant as that that I have made with each individual named so that it would carryon through the nation and not be forgotten. He furthermore swears that the covenant itself would be for a thousand generations. So the cycles mentioned are not yet valid science Jesus only comes into his kingdom when the dead join him and believers are spared the woes of the end times. So let's assume modestly a generation is 10 years. Then referencing the 1,000 year generation by our calculations the end times can't be close until the year 7 or 10,000 AD. Pretty far off. But only the Father might know when that time will come. WE can only speculate. Correct if I am mistaken on this train of thought.

In the Jewish year 3303 Josiah hid the ark (God hid his face), it would be needed no more. 2Kings 23:3. The new covenant put the law written in stone in the hart of flesh. This was done on Pentecost in the Jewish year 3793. This is the same year of the cross of Jesus. 7 weeks after Josiah restored the covenant of the fathers Ezekiel prophesied of the new Jerusalem. This gave hope to captive Israel and signaled that God had rested his fury, and they only had to endure until the end of the 70 years of captivity. Eze. 21:17 After 62 weeks in the Jewish year 3787 John the Baptist came announcing that the Messiah was walking among them. The total length of the prophesy was 490 years. 3303 - 3793 = 490 years. Jesus continued to confirm the covenant after the cross. The end of the confirmation would have been Cornelius as the Gentiles as promised. The law to the Jews first and then to the Gentiles.

The restoring of the covenant in 3303 was the " restore" that Daniel knew about and was a part of. Everything done after 3303 was unto the Messiah.

    Genesis 17

2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.

7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, THE LAND wherein thou art a stranger, ALL the land of Canaan, for an EVERLASTING possession; and I will be their God.

9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.

As you read on down, God blessed Ishmael also. However, Ishmael was not a part of the Covenant concerning the land.

    Ishmael See verse 20-21

    God to Abraham Genesis 22:17-18

This is what the fighting is about in Israel today. Heirs of Ishmael are intent on destroying the heirs of Isaac; taking the Land that God have to Isaac.

If the USA persists in trying to force Israel to give up land for peace, no one has perceived what is going to happen to the USA.

Go look up the 5 cycles of discipline in the Book of Leviticus 26:14-39

Bad is about to get worse. We are moving into the 5th Cycle now. Respectfully, we need to impeach Biden now. He doesn't make any decisions apart from Pelosi and Obama. If we as a nation don't speak up now, in unity; we are opposing God.

The DEED to Israel is recorded in the Bible. They cannot give that land away. Nor, will God allow Ishmael's descendants to take it away from Israel.

Out of room. I'm afraid we're all going to see the beginning of the end.

    Hello Dan,

The Apostle John says several times that Christians must obey the "commandments" of God. You would say that the Apostle John is referring specifically to the "10" commandments. Can you prove that to me with a verse? Also, why does he not say, even once, specifically, the "10" commandments?

I believe the Apostle John is referring to all the "commandments" given to the Church. Notice...

1 Corinthians 14:37 "If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are THE "COMMANDMENTS" of the Lord".

Christians obey the "commandments" of the Lord given to the Church through the Apostles in the epistles and not the 10 commandments given to the nation of Israel in the Old Testament. Christians are under the New Testament.

    Kindly.

    Brent,

The two witnesses are the one hundred forty four thousand sealed from BOTH houses of Israel. They are briefly mentioned, clocked, hidden, and allegorized throughout the Bible, and showcased in Revelation:

    Revelation 5

    Revelation 7

    Revelation 11

    Revelation 12

    Revelation 14

The two witnesses (one hundred forty four thousand) are the only representatives of God who are sealed for 42 months. They are the woman of Revelation 12, etc. Now that you know, double check it for reproof.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, I think your missing the point. The point that I was making is that the persons of the Old Testament who did God's will, had God's favor and acceptance. Those who did not do God's will or stopped doing God's will, lost God's favor and acceptance.

Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Joseph, David, and many others did what God told them to do and had God's favor. Cain, Korah, King Saul, and many others disobeyed God and lost God's favor.

Would Noah have retained God's favor had he stopped building the ark? (No.)

Would Korah have avoided being destroyed by God, had he stopped opposing Moses? (Yes.)

1 Samuel 15:22-23 "And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in OBEYING THE VOICE OF THE LORD? Behold, TO OBEY is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also REJECTED THEE from being king.

1 Chronicles 28:9 "And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but IF THOU FORSAKE HIM, HE WILL CAST THEE OFF FOR EVER."

The Apostles, writing to the Christians, warned them time and time again to obey God and not to disobey God.

    See 1 Corinthians 10:1-12.

    Kindly.

I was a Sunday keeper once so I am familiar with all of these excuses.

To cut to the chase I should ask that I be provided with one bible text that calls Sunday the Sabbath. Just 1.

Really, it is a matter of one's relationship to Christ. God is so wise he anticipated all of these reasons not to do as he commanded (not suggested).

    John 14:15

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

    1John 2:3

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

    1 John 2:4

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

You see the Sabbath is one of the commandments.

Lots of people call themselves Christian but they do not meet the above criteria. God knew it.

    Matthew7:21-23

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name...

    Matthew 4:4

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Does it say by the New Testament only??

There is safety in sticking to what is written in God's word.

Truth can bear examination my mother taught me.

Remember that God is omniscient. We are not smarter than He is.

Trust God he will not lead you astray. Forget your opinion or my opinion and lean not to your understanding,

I am busy, in the mean time I will refer you to Amazing Facts by Doug Batchelor where these questions are addressed and TV station 3ABN.

When I am available I will come back to this discussion but please accept above in the mean time.

    Earl,

John has no need to prophesy after leaving his body of flesh, which occurs at the seventh trumpet for the elect, when God's mystery is over. It is the resurrected one hundred forty thousand standing on Mount Zion with Jesus Messiah ( Revelation 14:1).

It is the one hundred forty four thousand who are tasked in prophesying between the sixth and seventh trumpets. Jesus Christ received a 42 month ministry, and so do the elect ( Revelation 7).

And the Elect One shall in those days sit on My throne, And His mouth shall pour forth all the secrets of wisdom and counsel: For the Lord of Spirits hath given (them) to Him and hath glorified Him.

He shall be a staff to the righteous whereon to stay themselves and not fall, And He shall be the light of the Gentiles, And the hope of those who are troubled of heart.

All who dwell on earth shall fall down and worship before Him, And will praise and bless and celebrate with song the Lord of Spirits.

And for this reason hath He been chosen and hidden before Him, Before the creation of the world and for evermore.

And the righteous shall be in the light of the sun. And the elect in the light of eternal life: The days of their life shall be unending, And the days of the holy without number.

And they shall seek the light and find righteousness with the Lord of Spirits: There shall be peace to the righteous in the name of the Eternal Lord.

And the Lord of Spirits placed the Elect One on the throne of glory. And He shall judge all the works of the holy above in the heaven, And in the balance shall their deeds be weighed

For from the beginning the Son of Man was hidden, And the Most High preserved Him in the presence of His might, And revealed Him to the elect.

And from henceforth there shall be nothing corruptible; For that Son of Man has appeared, And Has seated Himself on the throne of His glory, And all evil shall pass away before His face, And the word of that Son of Man shall go forth

And be strong before the Lord of Spirits.

And the righteous and elect shall be saved on that day, And they shall never thenceforward see the face of the sinners and unrighteous.

And the Lord of Spirits will abide over them, And with that Son of Man shall they eat And lie down and rise up for ever and ever.

Hello Douglas. I agree, this is an intriguing verse, which seems to show very little difference since justification by God can only be by faith ( Galatians 2:16).

I think that here, the apostle is showing that what is normally considered a distinction between the Jew & Gentile (the circumcision & the uncircumcision), when the matter of faith in God through Jesus Christ is brought in, both stand before God on equal terms ( Romans 3:22); one has no superiority over the other.

However, the Jew was given the Law which not only showed him God's holy requirements but also exposed to him his sinfulness because he couldn't keep the Law & please God. That missing attribute - Faith - which justifies ALL men (v28 and Hebrews chapter 11), is needed by the Jew which shows him that it's only BY FAITH & not by the "deeds of the Law" can he be saved. Likewise, to the Gentile who had not the Law, that it is only THROUGH FAITH in the Cross can he be saved. I realize this is a very small distinction between those words and even though I may be wrong, I'm afraid that's the only way I can understand why the apostle expressed it this way.

Well Shelby, Mishael has given you some great advice about teaching kids life skills so that they might become careful & responsible adults whose lifestyle their kids would want to emulate.

However, I also detect in your question that maybe those kids (now adults) are refusing to work & depending on govt or parental handouts to see them through. Without bringing up whether they received proper parental teaching & witness, I'm guessing that for some reason, whether because of laziness, misunderstanding the nature of wholesome work, or inability to find work, they are now in this predicament.

I feel, that as a parent, you should (& can) still do whatever possible to set them on the correct path of thinking of & doing work. Whether it is having a good in-depth chat, taking them for further professional counselling, or even helping them find work (any work) to get them busy, valuing what has been ordained for us to pursue. 2 Thessalonians 3:10, "For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat." The Apostle Paul certainly believed that to have a roof over our heads & food in our stomachs, then work was imperative. And even though, as a parent, the obvious & compelling thing to do is to give them money rather than see them do without, everything possible should be done to get the right work ethic into those floundering without work or lazy, so that they can stand on their own feet with a sense of responsibility & contributing to society. Or else, as I have seen too often, this no-work ethos will just continue to perpetuate into future generations.

God had already had Lucifer thrown to earth. Satan was lurking in the Garden, studying Eve and Adam, looking for weak places; a way to tempt them.

    Eve was tempted with food.

On his 40 day fast in the wilderness, Jesus was tempted with food by Satan.

It's probable that even now, Satan is tempting people with food, fame, power, delusions of grandeur, ponzie schemes etc.

Reading that passage shows the ways Satan tempts us. Also, how Jesus defeated him every single temptation! He used the Word of God.

"It is WRITTEN!! You shall not tempt the Lord your God."

"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word out of the mouth of God."

That's exactly how we are to fight Satan. Your bank of scripture, written in your heart, directly decides who is going to win the Battle (spiritual warfare). If you got nothing, you may get hurt.

Scripture is your arsenal. Personally, I want some long guns, missiles, etc. Look what Satan did to Job.

Jesus gave us Ephesians 6, and he means for us (men , women, kids, grandparents) to wear the Armor of Jesus Christ and use the weapons.... the Word of God.

    Misheal,

You have a misunderstanding of what "the day of the Lord" is. It is not a joyous occasion, but the opposite. It is a one hour long battle, at the sixth trumpet, second woe. War. It is judgment day for the people of earth, leaders, bringing forth great tribulation. Read what really happens that day: Isaiah 13, Isaiah 21:1-9, Isaiah 24, Isaiah 47, Ezekiel 21:1-24, Ezekiel 38:1-17, Jeremiah 50/51, Joel 2:1-11, Revelation 17/18 & Luke 21:20-24 (Israel's fall).

Please tell me you understand what that term means.
