Hopefully that helps
Some say Gog, Magog.
It may be symbolic of "Bear" Revelation 13:2,
* Matthew 24:6,
Hopefully this is helpful
Is there some different interpretation or understanding as to how long a year was during the era of the Old Testament?
Medical evidence suggests that the average life of a man at that time would probably have been less than 30 years.
Thanks for your help
Roy
Note Genesis 3:24 "drove out the man" singular, Genesis 3:23, "from the Garden of Eden" Genesis 3:22, "the man" is become like one of us, to know good & evil" is this religion?
* Note, Genesis 4:14 ._._." everyone thst findeth me shall slay._." proof more people in earth. Genesis 4:15,
* Genesis 4:16, appears she was from Nod.
Likewise in Genesis 4:23, the man that was slain wasn't mentioned here.
If you read & study the WORD of GOD, many times you will notice names & several other details are left out at times. 1Kings 17:9-24, same Widow? = Luke 4:26, Luke 7:12, Luke 21:2-3, yet many names are mentioned, when studying often times their names come up again, helping understand a more vast picture. Genesis 6:1-2, is this also in reference to Genesis 4:19, ?
Note Genesis 5, generation of Adam leaves out Cain, Abel & all other people. Again: Genesis 5:1-2, Gen 5:3, "male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day they were created" = them, their, they.
Hopefully this is helpful
However, GiGi has shared recently a good understanding of some of those names mentioned in Ezekiel & what they are likely to be called today. So, I share her comments here for you:
"Gog and Magog are people who migrated northward to the far north of Israel, which would be Russia. Meshech and Tubal are people who settled in the area north of the Black Sea, today's Ukraine, southern Russia and Georgia. Gog is identified as the son of Rosh, which is now Russia. These peoples are descended from Japheth (Noah's son). Ezekiel 38 and 39 speak about these peoples who come against Israel in war."
Dear Lord Jesus, we bring this family before You today. We ask you to bring those in this family who do not believe in You yet to repentance, faith, and salvation. We ask that You bring healing among the relationships in this family. We pray that You will give compassion to the family members that have mistreated Cheryl and her daughter. Fill this family up with love for one another and a willingness to help and understand one another. We lift up Cheryl's daughter to You. You know exactly what is wrong in her mind so we ask that You bring healing and deliverance concerning this mental illness that prevents her from living the life You want fo her to have. We believe that You can do all of these things, so we ask in Your name, Jesus. Amen.
Dear Jesus, we are believing for You to be working in Rachel right now and also over the past months that Baptiste has asked us to pray for her. She needs You to restore her faith and trust in You. We pray that through all of this You will restore this marriage relationship and bring these two to be re-married. We ask for all of these things in Your holy name, Jesus. Amen.
Rather, for not preaching "the entire Gospel", & we can include, reticence to preach boldly against abortion, homosexuality, drug use & other issues that have been divisive between the religious & secular, might be something that requires examination. There are probably a host of reasons why certain subjects are avoided or watered down, even the Gospel preached being lukewarm; and some of these would include a certain amount of conforming to societal thinking & acceptance, & the fact that in 'traditional' Fellowships (i.e. not of the cults), there are folk who hold to all manner of beliefs about what is acceptable & correct even when comparing Scripture to living in the world. So, if some are going to be offended by what is preached, there might be a backlash, whether by a departure of people, irregular attendance, less money in the offering plate, admonition to the pastor, or even going to the media. And to avoid all that, some leaders might recoil, giving out what people want to hear, & preaching a Gospel that is watered down & of no use to anyone, making many greater candidates for hell.
As much as I have no regard to the cults & their teaching, I do have to give them a plus point: their people are taught to believe what is given, to accept & practise it, & to share that 'truth' with others without fear. Now if only the evangelical Church could preach with such conviction, not fearing what people think, say, or do, both within & without the Church. And if the Tax Exemption be lost, so be it, if to remain true to the Lord & His Word.
Dear Lord Jesus, we lift up T. for you. We thank you that her surgery went well. We ask that all of the cancer has been removed and that You will bring her swift and complete recovery. Lord, may this experience cause T. to seek you out and speak to Donna about the hope she has in You. Grant T. faith to believe, which your Holy Spirit have wrought within us by Your wonderful grace. Grant this same work of grace upon T. We ask that you will help T. to rest and be peaceful within her spirit as she recovers. Prevent any negative feelings from creeping into her, but instead, fill her with gladness of heart and gratitude for being alive today.
We ask these things in Your name, Jesus, for you alone can heal, comfort, and save. Amen.
I would like to ask for prayer concerning these headaches i have been having for going on three weeks. They are being stubborn and are difficult to make go away. After my "little" T.I.A. (ministroke) last week, I am not sure if these headaches are related. I have an appointment with a dr. in a week or so. But I would really like to be done with these headaches. So I appreciate your prayers for me.
He says that MANY false Christs and false prophets will come in His name (vrs. 5,23-28) doing great signs and wonders.
V. 29-33 says that He will come AFTER the Great Tribulation to gather His elect from all over.
Then in vs. 42, after giving a parable and further explanation of what the world will be like and about the rapture, He says, "Watch, therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming." and in vs. 44, "Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect."
In ch. 25 He gives the parable of the 20 virgins with lamps waiting for the bridegroom. Only 5 wisely brought oil. In this He emphasizes the need to be ready and properly prepared.
In vrs. 31-44 Jesus explains the judgment, which will follow directly after He returns.
Mark chapter 13 reiterates much of what Jesus said in Matthew, and exhorts his disciples to, "Take heed (of HIS words), watch, and pray, for you do not know when the time is." (vs.33)
Luke 19:11-27 Jesus gives a parable to emphasize the need for us to keep busy until his return with what He has called us to do. We are to continue to be fruitful up to the end.
Elsewhere Jesus says questions "When the Son on Man returns will He find faith on the earth?" And elsewhere that "he who perseveres in faith until the end will be saved." This emphasizes the need for us to guard our faith and feed our faith with the
Word so that we will not be led astray by any false prophets, christs, persecution, or death.
If it weren't for the 2 Chronicles reference, one could easily accept that God instigated David to sin; but God's Spirit saw to it that we would be clear in understanding this: that God allowed David to fall under the testing of Satan. And by David hearkening to Satan's voice rather than trusting in the Power & Will of God for him & all Israel, we see that David failed & allowed his desire to know the strength of his forces against his enemies rather than trusting that God can deal with any enemy with only a few men or even none. 1 Samuel 14:6, reveals this Truth, when Jonathan declared to his armour-bearer, "for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few." And it was this faith by Jonathan in God, that got him the victory.
Even with Joab, David's army captain urging him to not take that path to conduct this ill-considered census, David even disregarded his advice, rather gave into his own fleshly lusts, inspired of Satan, to disregard the power of God & to elevate his own power & prestige. So, in 2 Samuel 24:1, God's Anger was "kindled against Israel" & "moved in David", but I believe it would be correct to give much regard to Satan's initial work of inspiration to bring folly to the people of God.
Please pray for her thatThe Holy Spirit would comfort her and speak life into her. That He would give her peace. And that she would be truly saved, healed, and delivered.
The Lord be magnified! His mercy endureth forever! Thank you Jesus.
We should be loving, as FREE says, and instead of seething with disgust or anger, reach out to those we know who are Catholic and invite them to pray and discover God's truth in His Word with you. You will be amazed at what God will do in such a situation, and, you also may be very amazed at how much truth Catholics do know and how some of them indeed are truly saved by grace through faith. It is rarely wise to put everyone in the same basket and judge them. We should want to build upon the truth that they already possess with more of the Word, since it is a cleansing power.

We also need to soberly consider Lucifer's fall; with his great privileges and standing being ruined due to pride. The rich can be ensnared by the cares of this life; and there are further warnings of drowning in perdition. David himself was most harshly judged by God when he took the census of the fighting men; which was an affront to trusting God rather than horses and chariots and armies of men as God Himself had warned about. The Lord giveth; and He taketh away. A man's life consists not of His possessions. We are asked to pursue heavenly treasures; not those on earth where rust and moth corrupt. It isn't money itself; but the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil. Naked we came into the world; and naked we shall depart.
With greatness; comes great responsibility. Food for thought
