“For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.”
King James Version (KJV)
7:2 She is freed from the law of her husband - From that law which gave him a peculiar property in her.
Ro 7:2,3 For the woman which hath an husband is bound, etc. This principle of law is shown from the marriage relation. Death severs it, and after it the marriage covenant is not binding. A woman can marry again without committing adultery.
