The day of Christ is at hand. We may not know the day or hour of our Lord's return but we can know the nearness : I believe that day is upon us : So much the more that we ought to gather together to be with our brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ . We are going to live with them forever !!!! Never miss a day to be with your loved ones even if you think they have hurt you in some way. Go to Church to be with Jesus : The church is a body of believers and the Church is the body of Jesus Christ !!!!

It talks about me when I'm going through anything, I do it by myself. I don't trust no one with anything that is in my private thoughts. I need to start learning togetherness.
  • Olabode on Hebrews 10:25 - 9 years ago
Coming together as a brethren brings unity, cooperation and togetherness if and only if there is a true love. There are so many things that can bring brethren together, for example, encouragement, solving one brethren problem or the other, study God's word, prayer, evangelism, etc. We should not neglect the assembly of ourselves.

First of all are you Jewish? Are you a Hebrew to whom this letter was written to? Verse 26 explains itself in the second half of the verse, "There remains no more sacrifice for sin". If the 'HEBREWS' learn of Christ's sacrifice but change their mind and go back to animal sacrifices at the temple they are as good as in Hell with the door locked. This book is written to Israel...are your Israel? It is not talking about a saved gentile or Jew's daily sins! EVERY CHRISTIAN ON THIS EARTH SINS EVERYDAY AND KNOWS IT! This letter is written to Israel not the body of Christ. It is warning them that once they learn of Christ and they turn back to animal sacrifices they are now without excuse and are doomed. We need to pay more attention to the books of the Bible written directly to us today by the Apostle to the Gentiles, Paul Romans through Philemon . The rest of the books are written to Israel and are for our 'Learning'.
  • Bonyah Isaac on Hebrews 10 - 10 years ago
Verse 26 In the Old Covenant, animals sacrifices were used to atone for people sins The inspired writer is teling the Hebrews tha animal sacrifices are obsolete because Jesus sacrifice himself once as atonement for all men sins.Hence if they deliberately sin after knowing the truth, and does not repent and confess for the blood of Christ to atone for them, then no sacrifice again to take away sins. This is Jesus is seated at God's right hand acting as our advocates, that whenever we sin,we must confess our sins for His blood to cleanse us. 1 Jn 1:9 .Sin that can't be atoned by Jesus blood is unrepentant sin. 1 Jn.5:16 17 .
  • Mary on Hebrews 10:1 - 10 years ago
This verse is telling me we don't need man to go and tell GOD to forgive us of our sins. JESUS died once and for all our sins and we are save through His blood.
  • David on Hebrews 10 - 10 years ago
In response to Terry Chapman's comment on verse 26. The context of this verse isn't for those who have been born again. It is for those who have heard the truth of the gospel, but rejected it. God has put a fearful conscience of foreboding within them because to their rejection of Christ. If you have been born again, you do not have to be concerned about going to hell. It cannot happen.
  • Nkosinathi on Hebrews 10:36 - 10 years ago
Impatience is carnal . until we are fully submitted under the authority of the Holy Ghost then can this patience be manifested in us and we can apply it.By our own human tactics it's impossible to be patient.
  • Randey on Hebrews 10:26 - 10 years ago
What is being discussed is a total abandonment of your faith in the Lord a walking away, a total denial that Jesus is Lord after having tasted of His goodness and mercy. If you allow that to occur in your heart, there is no forgiveness for that and no one to forgive you, for the only One that could, you now deny.
  • Bob on Hebrews 10:26 - 10 years ago
This verse has troubled me in the past. I was discussing it one day with a pastor and the Lord suddenly enlightened me. The author of Hebrews is trying to show his Jewish readers the superiority of Christ over the Law of Moses. He talks about Christ 's superiority to angels, the rest we have in Christ, His eternal priesthood which is superior to that of Aaron. He goes on to say that Christ 's sacrifice is superior to those of the Law Heb 10:12 and the new covenant superior to that of the old Heb 10:16 . The Hebrew readers had suffered severe persecution Heb 10:32-34 and were considering going back to the old system of the Law which included all of the sacrifices and offerings included therein. They were ready to abandon Christ and return to sacrificing animals to atone for their sins. The author tells them not to cast away their confidence in Christ which has great recompence of reward. For if they return to the old way of believing that sacrificing animals atoned for sins they are considering Christ 's blood worthless or an unholy thing. They were believers and had tasted of the Heavenly Gift Christ and were partakers of the Holy Ghost. Their decision to return to animal sacrifices was tantamount to: Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace. He calls this type of apostasy "sinning willfully. " If you read Hebrews in this context it will make sense.

Are you a Hebrew? Romans through Philemon were written to Gentiles Us! , the rest of the Bible is for 'Our learning '. Read 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV and think about it. Things different are not equal, words mean things. I don 't worry about sins that cannot be forgiven. Christ died for me and paid for All my sins and how many of my sins were future when He died...ALL OF THEM. I know where I am going when I die because God is Not a liar. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you SHALL be Saved. That was written to me, a Gentile and I am not about to call God a liar by overruling what he said by using a book not written to me. I love the book of Hebrews but if you don 't rightly divide the word this book can be a spiritual minefield which will keep you in fear all your life.

It is a challenge to consider one another, we are naturally selfish at heart without God 's grace. But once we surrender ourselves to God-anything good is possible. The best thing that could ever happen in one 's life.
  • Lilian on Hebrews 10 - 10 years ago
Jesus sanctified us from his precious blood that shed for us. We are now forgiven and pardoned of our sins because of Jesus. We must love and accept Jesus into our lives for he is faithful to his promises. We are now save and have life in abundance because of Jesus perfect obedience to our Father. Jesus loves you that we cannot even measure his love. Every drop of his blood was his mercy and grace. We are save by his grace and our faith in Christ Jesus. We must obey Jesus words, follow and live like Jesus until rapture. We must be Born Again in Spirit and not in the sinful flesh. We are save by our Faith and in inviting the Holy Spirit in our lives. Without Jesus we cant do anything. Jesus loves you Amen

Through our Most Wise and Holy God through his son Christ Jesus the ultimate sacrifice he has perfected us who are not perfect through the blood of Christ that we may be sanctified as Christ is Holy, Who is blessed forevermore. We, as humans, are not Holy within ourselves. That is why the ultimate sacrifice a lamb without blemish Jesus was the only one who could bring us that salvation.

I remember as a child my grandmother saying "any fool can get into heaven, but woe upon the religious who know right from wrong. To sin and not know it 's a sin will not be held against you, but sinning knowingly will be held against you even more. " I believe this is what she was referring to.
  • Motdaugrnds on Hebrews 10 - 10 years ago
Neither do I believe once saved always saved NO MATTER WHAT WE DO. In this chapter as well as in Romans chapter 6 there is clarification as to the fact we still have a choice as to whom we will serve. This ultimately means, we have been saved by the blood of Jesus IF WE ACCEPT HIS SACRIFICE and keep our bodies and minds in harmoney with the laws he has written on our hearts and in our minds. This, of course, also means the daily choice is ours!

We grow better by coming together as the bible says iron sharpens iron for two is better than one.

You will loose your Salvation. I too don 't beleive of that saying, "once you save you are always save ". Jesus didn 't die for nothing. There 's a different between "forgiveness " and "remission " of sins. Forgive means forget but remission means there in NO more evidence on it. Our sin has been forgotten and completely wipe off by the blood of Jesus. It is what it is as the bible say Heb 10:26. If we sin "Wifully " after.... There it is. Please read Romans 6:1-2 That is what the completion of this verse. Thank you.

in the beginning was the word the word was with God and the word was God ,in order to shed his blood he needed a human body ,thus the birth of Christ in Bethlehem , in the likeness of us , this verse , opened my eyes to this truth.

The Lord satisfied both the ceremonial and moral laws and made for us all that new and LIVING way. No more an exclusive thing to see beyond in the Most Holy place but we can now enter boldly and find grace to help in the time of need!

Christ Himself sought after fellowship with His apostle 's. He asked them to join Him in prayer, feed the masses, grieve with Him over Lazarus, help in healing. Even the Father says in the beginning when He created that "It is very good " All believers should be able to recognize the difference between the gathering of the saints for worship or just fellowship to just conversation with a friend. Having said that I also realize that within the Church body there are our homebound brothers and sisters. It the duty of the Church to not forsake these beloved ones either. Pray for the home bound, the missionaries, our soldiers and all Christians that do not have the ability to gather
