  • Moses Obidike on John 17 - 10 years ago
John 17:4 is analogous to 2 Timothy 4:7 - testimony of a fulfilled calling or mission. John 17:5 confirms the divinity of Jesus, as in John 1:1 - that Jesus is God and has been in existence before the world was created. John 17 also teaches us that if we have received Christ, and we let His Word abide in us, we should be able to handle the trials and tribulations of life, and even overcome the enemy Luke 10:19 because His Word is spirit and His Spirit lives in us. Finally, the knowledge of Him and the presence of His Spirit in our lives guarantee us Eternal Life.
  • Colleen on Philippians 1:21 - 10 years ago
My only desire is that I can be used by God for His great purpose. When I am no longer any use to Him, why would I want to be here? I would much rather be home with Him.
  • MockingBird on Isaiah 64:8 - 10 years ago
As the clay : Has no will of it's own : I do So as I submit my will into His will and allow my Lord God to mold me into a vessel fit for His use. Sometimes those lumps hurt when He molds them out of me : But : OH !!! The joy and peace afterwards :

  • Catherine Freed on Isaiah 40:31 - 10 years ago
To wait on the Lord is to trust him to answer our prayers however he sees right. While waiting we should continue to read his word, pray, walk in faith, and serve him with our words and actions to encourage ourselves and others. Trusting him for guidance and direction.
  • HARY COLLINS on Ezekiel 36 - 10 years ago
Indeed we do not deserve salvation or anything good from God, but because of who He is a merciful and compassionate God we are given whatever we ask for.
  • Bruce on John 15:13 - 10 years ago
I believe this all about Jesus telling us that there exists no greater love that how He was gloried in His death and resurrection for us. Christ's glorified so that we may experience this is the best gift God could give us. Himself. Everything points to the glory of God. The fact that we can experience joy in knowing him this way is what I believe Jesus is telling us here. John 17:24 shows how Jesus' prayer was that He would glorify the Father by the means of Himself being gloried and we would be able to savor it for all time. By giving us this gift, God is revealing the greatest love of all-Himself. I buve John 15:13 is not about us but about Christ. About He was glorified and how we the joy in experience His glory. This is divine live for us.
  • Nicole cox on Luke 10 - 10 years ago
I've really had questions about "loving our neighbor"? Not certain why I never connected these two stories as one because as a little girl I'd heard the story of the Good Samaritan! I read it as a whole today and whoa, to cool to know love your neighbor can mean to help those on the street! I love it
  • Joshua Sunday on Job 8:7 - 10 years ago
The bible says in 2Tim 3:16 that all scriptures are given by the inspiration of God.I want to testify to this dependable truth of God's word. Job 8:7 is a word of encouragement to believers generally, that as long as they remain consistent in their lifestyle of Holiness and compliment their faith with work, it doesn't matter how downtrodden,or miserable they might be at any given time of their of lives, they shall always experience positive and incredible changes and progress in the process of time. This we saw happen at the end of Job's life that God did not only restore all his losses, but that really his latter was greater than his beginning. I have had and still having similar in my walk with God.
  • MockingBird on Isaiah 40:31 - 10 years ago
To wait on the Lord is to be in fellowship with Him and have a alone time with Him and being sensitive to His Holy Spirit within : Believing : Obeying : Submitting to Him : As your request has been presented to the Lord : He knows what is best : Do not make a move until you know that He has spoken : When the cloud moves : Pack up and move with Him : When the cloud stops : unpack and wait again : God does not do things in a hurry , hurry way. He knows what is ahead !!! He is always looking for our Highest Good : He knows what is best !!!
  • Kenneth Edwards on Mark 10 - 10 years ago
For some years, I was puzzled by the reference to a camel going through the eye of a needle. I saw it as a fanciful illustration. Then I discovered that in those days, the gates into the city were shut, but a small entrance in the gate could be opened to let in one person at a time. Yes, it was called "the needle gate". So, when the merchant arrived at the gate with his camel laden with his possessions, the camel had to kneel at the gate, whilst the merchant took all the goods from his back. Only then could the camel, with some difficulty, crawl through the needle gate, but the goods had to be left outside. I have always treasured this understanding that it is what we are, not what we possess, that is important. The worship of worldly goods must be laid aside if we are to gain entrance to the kingdom of God.
  • Rob on 1 Thessalonians 1:5 - 10 years ago
Father God I praise you for this verse today, and continuing to demonstrate to me your faithfulness and power. Your presence and love amazes me, and I am blessed to be called into your family through Jesus. Jesus thank you calling me to be your disciple and friend, nothing in life comes close to satisfying me as much as growing closer to you. The times alone that the Holy Spirit reveals the meaning of a parable or bubbles up truth from the inside are lifes most treasured times. As the world gets darker I pray that I become a brighter light proclaiming the gospel. I pray that everyone that reads this is given a relevation of how great our God is and how awsome it is to be in a relationship with Him. In Jesus name. Amen

Jim, If you accepted Christ in your life,he tells us not to fear. The devil is doing nothing but persecuting you so that you will be scared. The main thing I can tell you is get into the word of God and each time the devil is bothering you, you claim the name of Jesus, In the name of Jesus, I rebuke you devil, in the name of Jesus his blood covered my sins, and you pray to Jesus as much as you can in the name of Jesus. Keep him in your mind and heart constantly all day and night. The devil has to run in the name of Jesus...Pray the Lord's prayer over and over and ask God to guide you in his Spirit...I hope this helps you. I give Jesus Christ honor and praise, Amen

  • MockingBird on Psalms 37:4 - 10 years ago
To delight yourself in the Lord is to enjoy being in His word on a daily bases and in a set aside prayer time and obeying His word. When we do this then our desires will change to what He likes and therefore we will have the fulfillment of God's presence and joy of knowing that all we do will please Him : He also helps us get that way also : We are not called in this walk of faith to do it on our own : He is there with us all the way : He will go with us all the way : He gives us all things richly to enjoy !!

  • Alex Udumebraye Ogbon on Philippians 3:10 - 10 years ago
Without knowing Christ and the power that resurrected him from the grave our Christianity is empty and totally vain. Every believer should not only emulate Christ but also trudge on the true path he has paved for us, no matter the travails assailing us but this is our cross and we have been pre-equipped afore-time to prevail. Shalom
