They failed because their aim was to get a name for themselves.Their interpretation is similar to moral interpretation,which seeks to establish exegetical principles by whichethicallessons may be drawn from the various parts of the Bible. There is another anagogical interpretation. For them the present fiasco of UN where nations may want to hold Israel for their war crimes but the devil is right in the UNSC and the tower of Babel was a pointer to the end times.
