    Prophetic updates

I thought it may be good to present a brief synopsis of current events; and I like the approach of one video which I watched this AM regarding not reacting immediately to news updates but considering overall patterns. We should be cautious; no doubt to sift through accurate data to surmise the truth; and have some wisdom along with a realization that the whole truth no doubt is veiled in many levels of deception today.

It is clear in my advancing years that there is an increasing acceleration toward the consummation or end of the age in all aspects geopolitically. Nonetheless; the power vacuum that exists that has so far deterred one individual from taking over the whole world in the final stage of the 4th Kingdom is evident and will no doubt be the overwhelming and apparent manifestation of all the hopes and dreams of false religion. I have stated before that humanism will likely be a primary catalyst to draw in men who consider human love and basic goodness in promoting this agenda. This allows for a sort of self fulfilling prophecy to take affect; whether the ultimate goals of the atheist leaders of the past who are idolized or the messianic figure of all false religions the end is the same; adulation of the final man of sin along with the Beast system.

The question for the believer is how much to and when to resist. Those who have a Post Trib rapture disposition no doubt feel they need preparation to ride it out through much of the Tribulation and the judgments pronounced. Again; the underemphasis on the events of the seal judgments is often a factor; as it is apparent the way I read scripture that many won't even survive until the time the mark is implemented which appears to be the midpoint of the Tribulation; although it may be tested locally or without total enforcement beforehand. I'd like to point out that warning people to repent and flee the wrath to come is bolstered by the Rapture before the Tribulation as I see it.

    Hello Richard,

I always read your postings because it shows how intent you are on reflecting on not only what is going on presently in our world, but also spiritual topics that affect the church in these times. So, Thanks.

My only comment on this post was your mention of Matthew 3:7 where John the Baptist is addressing the Pharisees and Jewish leaders when he was baptizing at the Jordan. John called them "vipers" and emphasize their need to repent or else they will not avoid the wrath to come.

This warning was for unbelievers and I think the wrath John was speaking of is what God brought upon Jerusalem in 70 A.D.

So, I do not think this is a verse that speaks to believers in our time. But, we should be careful that we do not become self-assured in thinking we are standing firm, lest we fall ( 1 Cor. 10:12) Self-examination in light of the warnings in Scripture is always in order as we prayerfully ask for God to humble us and guide us in every way, rooting out sinful ways within our hearts that we are not keenly aware of or that we brush off too readily, and seeking wisdom and truth in our inward parts, as David sought so seriously.

Anyway, thanks for your input, as always.

in my understanding of the book of Revelation, the first three and a half years of tribulation will be great persecution of the church. A believer will either be an overcomer, a martyr, or a betrayer of the Gospel. The manifestation of the 144,000 sons of God will already be completed. Some believe the sons are Jewish evangelists (pre-rapture thought). But what would be the final result of the Cross? The glorious sun-clothed church giving birth to a manchild (144,000) who manifest Jesus Christ in the fullness of God.These are they who operate in the Spirit by manifesting Christ to the world. This gives Glory to the our Creator, Our Father who glorifies his Word. A disappearing raptured church before tribulation doesn't line up with the scriptures. "Last trump" is the two words that seem to be ignored.

I'd recommend sticking with the Bible , there is more in it , than what people read into it and try to tell people what they don't really understand. Matthew 24 , Luke 21 are good places where Jesus lays out the future , and no pre trib rapture of course ! Because it's read into the scriptures .

    Amen.

    John 16:33

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

    Blessings
