This is me-Sitting in the need of Prayer. I come to your Help; my disabled son is presently in the hospital with his sugar of 25. plus, a deep infection of injuries from falling from his Motor Scooter. (so many times) He was not fortunate to have any assistances of Care workers/ caseworkers or anyone to assist his needs. Now day's the communication is through e-mails, it was a battle once before with voice box's but that is no longer assessable it is all email. The System did not see to it that My son's needs were more important they felt the case of his was more important. Never resolved. they sent a care worker out to his home, and she stepped in his home, looked at him and walked out. they sent other social employees to his home, and they knock and no answer and state his not cooperating and refuses services. Man, He cannot even walk (no Legs) oh they will say and do anything not to help him. I am worn out Financial wise, I am in deep debt by traveling 4 hours round trip every week just to wash his bedding, take him to eat, to clean what I can of his body, to clean his home and I am struggling with a stroke with no strength. Not to sound like I don't want to do it. I do, my son. anyway today. His had a surgery they scrapped to the bone of his infection. His in pain. they have his sugar up, thank God. and now they are locating a living status for him. He persists that He resides with me. I live in Pendleton, and they will not allow him here. If they find him here, we both are evicted. I went to Court to ask for lunacy for him and no they stated. the housing stated No as well. I am in tears, I want him, but I cannot lift him, but I want him here as well. that way I know his safe. HELP me in the need of prayers.
I will continue to pray for you and your son. Can you tell me his name? He is in a very awful and vulnerable situation. I will pray for God to hear your cries for help and make way for your son to be appropriately placed in a living situation where he gets the care and support he desperately needs to not only get well, but to stay alive!
his name is: Arthur. He is moved out of ICU but still on the floor of ICU. apparently the doctors/caseworkers of the hospital talked to him and are in store of Releasing him. boy I am sad very much. this is so and real soon. He insists that I have him stay with me. I would love that, BUT Housing and the Reservation has evicted him and if they find him here in my home, I, too will be evicted and possibility of him being charged for trespassing. I doubt if they would take him to jail because of his disability. I need to call the APS (adult Protective Services) and ask them to make the hospital to not release him for the honest truth is he has NO ONE to care for him, his got no way of eating/preparing for himself, to cleanse himself, to insert his medication, etc. I am worried drastically. What did I do? how could I have prevented this by leaving my home to care for him in his home that is four hours round trip. I have been lighting my candles, restless at night with little sleep, wondering if the man up above hears me, I think I told the whole world but that was because they might have a solution to which way I could go for the safety and loving care for my son. My son says , His wounds and surgery is healing-I am confused- really. its not that long ago since the pain, the surgery and its healed. Oh Gigi how much longer does my son has to go on with promises and let down even by me not intentionally but because I too do not want to be homeless. I am 72 years old. I am very emotional since I had the stoke. because I cannot regain the walking mobility, the strength to lift for instance my son. I verily get my kitchen clean. I do not want to see my son Hurt anymore than what he has already gone through. He even asked God: to not be so hard on him, to lessen the hardship on him. his lost both legs, his hungry majority of times, His dad refuses to have him in his home, I am all his got and he relies on, and I am failing him as well.
It is good that you came on this forum to ask us to pray for you and your son. I am sure that there are many more here who pray but do not post a comment to the one requesting prayer. There are many concerned and praying for this situation.
I am glad you feel connected to me in this struggle. It is a tremendously hard, painful, and trying situation and heartbreaking.
I do pray that your son will come to his senses and realize he cannot live with you and see that his options are truly limited to remaining in the hospital or going into a care facility. When a hospital wants to discharge a critically ill patient it is usually because their condition is stabilized enough for them be cared for in a less intense situation. Most hospitals work with rehab centers where patients can go for 30 days on Medicare for free. These centers care for people in need of medical care like your son in a medically staffed environment. You may want to check into this by asking the hospital's discharge doctor or nurse about this possibility. As one who is so disabled as your son is, maybe there are more options for long term care, but going to a rehab center for a month can give time for his care team to help locate a placement in a long term facility.
I will continue to pray for this all to come together for your son's best interest and care. And I will pray for you to get the care you need as you live with the results of your stroke.
Even in the darkest times, the Lord is with you. You can lay your head on His shoulder and receive compassion, strength, and faith.
I give you this Scripture today because you are indeed heavy burdened. Matthew 11:28-30
"Come to Me (Jesus) all ye that labour and are heavy-ladened (burdened), and I will give you rest.
Take My (Jesus;) yoke upon you; for I am meek and lowly in heart: And ye shall find rest for your souls. (both you and your son).
!DLHENRI, I hope you find some relief, boy, you have a lot on your plate. It sound like my house back home when I was a kid. 4 boys and one sister, we drove my mother up the wall, until some neighbor knocked at our door and introduced herself. She also invited us to church. For the first time in my parents life, they heard the word of truth .
I will pray for you and you're family that God will help you. Please read Romans through Philemon for doctrine and pray continually everyday for God to speak to you .
Please don't give up on God, He knows what going on and will help.
May God bless you and you're family in Christ Jesus .
