The Holy Spirit sets 'thy truth ' pardon my analogy, every verse as truth, as pieces of a jigsaw puzzle a board game. Thus the first verse "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth," is only one piece. Similarly we have another piece which is v.2 "And the earth was without form, and void." Instead fitting it with what ought to come next the Christians insist on 'ex nihilo' theory which God did not establish as true. But the man would nevertheless insist in order to make these two pieces fit. It is only in rational mind while the rules of the game says,"But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory" and "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God./Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual./But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God." (1 Cor.2,7,12-14)
If one continues in this 'rational way' after v.3 what he brings up would be 'gap theory' which exists only in the carnal mind of men insisting on his rational mind taking over. What do you think the board game shall look alike. It is no longer a jigsaw puzzle but a crazy-quilt pattern. The truth has been thrown out right early. Imposter churches play not according to rules. They are not sanctified by lies.
Bennymkje, how do I approach the Bible. Adam and Eve where the first humans on earth and they failed God, so Satan took possession of the earth. Now God has to redeem the humans back to where it was perfect with no death, no pain, no hunger, no bad mouthing and of course no sin.
God's plan of Salvation is to send his only begotten Son to redeem us. The Old Testament spoke of the coming Redeemer . The four gospels revealed the Redeemer ( Jesus Christ ) . What's very interesting, Jesus Christ was telling the Disiples that he was going to die and be resurrected from the dead and not one understood. At the tomb where Jesus Christ laid for 3 days and 3 nights, there was not one Disiples waiting at the rolling rock to see if He rose from the dead. It was a secret hid in God and was revealed to Apostle Paul for Salvation 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 . The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is life for all of us to believe and nothing added. If we take the word resurrection out of the Bible, our faith in Christ Jesus would be invalid.
I thank God Almighty for sinners that are saved to believe the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ .
There is no human on this earth that will know the whole Bible but Jesus Christ Himself .

Ray, in Christ Jesus 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 I follow Jesus Christ for the truth of his Resurrection.
Christian life is abiding in Christ. So whatever you do is as though Christ in you did. If we honour God we shall examine ourselves and real charity is in love of Christ in action so we do as though Christ did it. What is knowable of God is shown to us and truth is inwards writ. So no man is with excuse. By the grace shown to me I do my ministry and every day, is a day given to walk with the Lord, May God bless you,
