My mom passed yesterday at 3:55 PM. The female chaplain sang amazing grace and gave a brief synopsis of calling on the Son; and turning back to Christ after a long season away as a theme to attempt to reach my mom. It was interesting that she called yesterday morning after not seeing her in over a month and not knowing her status; as well as my statement to her that I didn't want to be present at the death of a lost person. Lord willing the message reached her; she had been unconscious since Tuesday and slowly breathing less.
Now I have my dad to consider; with his issues; at times pleasant to be around even with Dimentia somewhat coherant but subject to his old behavior of sarcasm; savage temper and impatience and at times confusion falling for things online and such.
Thankfully the care person likes him and vice versa for now; I am still working on a decent evening person and considering carefully whether to remain living in the home or staying somewhere close by with the funding available.
I appreciate everyone here paying or me; I have very good church support as well as a social worker.
I am sorry for your loss of your Mom. It is not an easy time, for sure.
I am glad that the chaplain came and sang over her and sharing with her the gospel message. I sang the same song over my Mom while in this state of morphine and end of life hours.
I am also glad that she called you and you had the chance to speak together one last time. That is a blessing because may people do not have such an opportunity for closure in a relationship when someone is dying.
I will continue to keep you and your Dad in prayer and that God will guide you in the decisions you must make in the weeks ahead.

Again I'm so sorry for this news!
Still praying for you.
