I want to understand what roman's 12 verse 16 mean mind not high things could u help me to understand

All True Believers Will have,Tribulation, Persecution, Trouble. We should do everything in our ability to keep peace between ourselves and our fellow man, though sometimes that peace will not be possible on account of that other party.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Verse 2~We want to prove to ourselves what is good and acceptable to God. We don't just want to take someone else's word for it. We should make a thorough search of the Bible and see what Jehovah God wants us to do.

vs 17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

vs 18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

We want to present ourselves as a living sacrifice to Jehovah God. We should strive to live each day according to his ways and standards and we want to be as holy as we can be in imitation of God.

Let your body be Holy and acceptable with God for He is Holy. There is no time that the law and prophets stop speaking to us. They continue to speak to this day. According to Romans 12:4 whatsoever things were written afore time was written for our learning. That we through faith and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

ROMANS 12:21
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Verse 19~God has not given us the right to avenge ourselves. We must leave vengeance in the hands of Jehovah God.

An enemy to the Apostle Paul was an “enemy” of the cross of Christ! Those are God’s enemies, too!

This chapter really reminds us of what a true Christian should be doing. It gives me positive motivation to continue to strive to be perfect.

We should always choose to bless as oppose to curse. Forgive as oppose to harbor hate.

The Apostle says it so clearly and precisely what is commanded us, and what therefore God expects, from all who call upon the Name of Jesus Christ. There is no apology for the flesh or an undisciplined spirit and there is no talking down to us as if we were uncapable of intelligent thought. Jesus NEVER talked down to anyone, no matter how much WE might think that they couldn't understand. Jesus told a woman who had already five husbands, and was presently with a man not married, about what knowing God really was, without talking down to her or trying to simplify the truth. "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." Speak the truth as the Spirit directs and NEVER talk down to people. God knows how to cause His Word to have effect on a man's heart!

Feed our enemies even though we know who they are, because the Lord will take vengeance

@LeeAnne-What about Romans 12:19-Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Verse 12~We must rejoice in the hope. This world is full of distress and depressing situations and topics. If we rejoice in the future hope of everlasting life and the blessings that Jehovah God will give, we can continue to endure and have real joy.

Verse 3: This is a good scripture to keep in mind with regards to having a balanced view of ourselves. We live in a self-obsessed time and we must guard against thinking more of ourselves than necessary.

I am encouraged with the writings of Paul because he was a rough character as I am and now I can be happy that there is hope for me too! Being a disciple isn’t easy and because I believe the Lord has picked me out for his gift of Salvation and eternal life I press on. I think we humans are harder on ourselves than we should be, yes sinful nature but God is faithful!

1 We should rejoice always in Christ our hope ,regardless of our situation. 2 We who are the redeemed go through the tribulation. 3 We the chosen of God are not to faint but be in prayer always.

Verse 11: We are urged to be hard-working. We want to give God our very best and this requires hard work.

Verses 17-19 are speaking to things going on in my life right now. I thank God for his word. I want to retaliate, but the word of God says no, don t do that. I am compelled by the Holy Spirit to pray instead. Thank you God for taking care of me.

GOOD CHAPTER TO REMIND US WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST. WE HAVE A TRAMSFORM MIND BNY RENEWING IT. WE ARE ONE BODY WITH MANY GIFTS. WE ARE TO LOVE OUR BROTHER AND SISTERS IN CHRIST JESUS.WE ARE TO LIVE PEACEFULLY WITH ALL MEN IF POSSIBLE GOD IS THE ONE WHO DOES THE CORRECTING. BLESS THOSE WHP PERSECUTE YOU. GOD DOES HAVE A BETTER PLAN GRACE AND MERCY
