Hello Michael, (Rev.3:16) In response to your ? I have to ask....Have you a born again believer? If so According to ( Luke 10:19) You have the power of God that's been given to you to overcome the temptations of everyday life; not that you're perfect, but you now by the Holy Spirit you have access to dumas power of God working for you. I think a great help would be to also stay in the word of God for strength daily. Avoid anything that you know is not pleasing to God wherever you may be. You are never alone He is always with you. Check out this scripture ( I Corinthians 15:33-34) as a reminder of who you are in Christ and that you represent him. YOU are a light in the workplace of darkness, let others be drawn to your light, don't be vacuumed into the negative! AMEN?

    fREE mORAL AGENCY

Man's life is in God. This means that man can't move and think without God. But since God gives him the power to decide how this will be enacted, God holds him responsible for what he does.

Free moral agency is for a being, whether an angel or man, to decide whether to use for good or evil what God sustains him to do. That is, I can't move my finger or eyes without God enabling me to do so. But God lets me decide whether to use my finger or eyes for good or bad. Then, he punishes or rewards me accordingly.

That's why animals are not held responsible for good or bad actions. They do not have the will power to make decisions.

Yes, God sustains and provides for all human functions. Even a little sparrow can't fall to the ground without God. But some men make the choice to kill the sparrow for evil purposes. And for that he is held responsible. That is, it is man's choice, not God's.

So to sustain something is one thing. It is necessary for the thing to exist and function. This shows God's goodness and love. And for this, God holds us responsible.

To put it plainly, I can't make a decision without God enabling me to do so. But God holds me responsible for the decision I make.

Let us make the choice to follow Jesus. BEHOLD I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK.

Sorry Pastor Enang, Revelation chapters 2 and 3 are talking to churches, not lost people. Christ is on the outside of this church desiring fellowship with the saints at Laodicea.

Hey Grant, Revelation 3:14 does not say Jesus is the creation it says "the beginning of the creation of God;" Read John 8:58 where Jesus declares "Before Abraham was I AM. That term in the Greek is ego ami. It mean I am now, I have always been, and I will always be. Christ is declaring His deity. This also found in John 18:5. Look what happened in verse 6 when Christ declared His deity. Read the whole book!
  • Pastor Enang on Revelation 3 - 11 years ago
Rev.3:20 it refers to Christ knocking at our heart and whosoever will decisively repent and accept Him unto himself will recieve unto himself all his ac***ulated desires and will overcome all life challenges he had faced.

The door itself is our Lord JESUS CHRIST and HE open it for us so that we can come to HIM. How we can come to HIM? To repent in our iniquities and read, study, learn and practice it in our daily life and no one can be separated us to our Lord Jesus Christ if we keep His words in us and even we have a little strength our Lord will save us from the devils works because we keep His mighty name in our hearts. Amen

Chapter 3 of Revelation is the last time you hear about the church ( Body of Christ ) mentioned. It says that the Church of Philadelphia will be kept from the hour of temptation that shall come upon the whole earth. Is that temptation the worship and mark of the antichrist? If it is then That would lead me to believe that the Rapture of the Church will take place prior to the Great tribulation, and the wrath of God being poured out on the earth.

I think that Christ will be with us during tribulation which will come upon the WHOLE world I feel we will go through it, and Jesus will be with us . The sheep will follow him and hear his voice and He will take them through it and in it even through the death of saints if necessary to be used to separate the sheep from the goats

  • Grant on Revelation 3:14 - 11 years ago
Rev 3:14 agrees with Col 1:15. Both say that Jesus is a creation. Also, Jesus was the first born from the dead to live forever. Rev 1:18, Rom 5:6, 1Peter 3:18 and Heb 2:9. Even God said it was Jesus who died, not God. Trinitarians, read from your own bible these verses and learn the truth.

If God and Jesus both always existed and are co-equal, then it would make no sense for the Bible to confusingly speak of God and Jesus in terms of a relationship between a father and his son. For what would we think of about ANY father and his son? If it weren't for the father, the son would not exist. Jesus is not God; he is exactly as the Bible describes him - the Son “OF” God. The word "son" principally is regarded in the Bible as "offspring" and in Genesis we read that Adam was produced by God. Interestingly, Adam and Jesus even shared the same description: "son of God", ( Luke 3:38). While the Father is always found in the Bible to be called "God", the phrase "God the Son" is never found. Further, if the Son really was God, then why would he call the Father "the only true God"? ( John 17:1-3). Jesus is God's "only-begotten" son; the only being directly created by God, ( John 1:18). Revelation 3:14 says that Jesus is "the Beginning of the creation of God", NASB. Colossians 1:15 says that Jesus is "the FIRSTBORN of all creation". Micah 5:2 says that Jesus' “ORIGIN” is from of old, from “ancient days” – RSV (cf. JB, NEB, REB, NAB, NIV, AT, Mo, NRSV, NJB, Byington, and Young's). Origin: "a coming into existence" - Webster's New World Dictionary, 1973. Therefore, because of the Bible's explanations of this, the designations "Father" and "Son" when attributed to God and Jesus make sense.

There are two churches, of the seven that escaped rebuke by the Lord: Smyrna, and Philadelphia. Jesus has proclaimed that He alone has the Key of David to the Kingdom, and He will open to those who are faithful until the end. This gospel must be published in all nations, then the end will come. He will shut the door, and then the judgments shall come upon all those that dwell on the Earth. Jesus said behold I come quickly, hold fast what thou has, and see that no man will steal thy crown. Ye shall be our crown of rejoicing when we see Jesus. Watch and pray for you know not what hour the Lord shall come.

Revelation was written by a Christian for the warning and salvation of Christians. Jesus Christ is ‘Abraham’s Seed’. Christians that believe in God and Jesus, are “of Abraham’s Seed”. Moses wrote about and looked to Jesus. When Jews reject Jesus, they reject Moses, they also reject Abraham and they reject God who sent Him. The Pharisees are the ones that practiced the Talmudic teachings, which Christ condemned. Jesus Christ followed the Law of Moses; Jews follow the Talmud. Read Isaiah 1:2-4 ... God says Israel is a sinful nation, they are corrupters and a seed of evildoers. God is angry with Israel for rebelling against him and rejecting Jesus Christ. Repent and be saved.

Revelations is talking about God’s people the Jews not you gentiles. It’s talking about the real Jews that are going through hell on earth. Not those Edomites in Israel those fake Jews. Revelation 3:9, behold I will make them of the synagogues of Satan which say they are Jews and are not. Behold I will make them to come and worship before thy feet.

I believe it speaks volumes about enduring till the rapture when we will not have to be here during the tribulation period.
  • Becky on Revelation 3 - 12 years ago
I believe what revelation says about the church of Philadelphia, because we have kept his word and what are the works to tell everyone about what Jesus did at the cross. Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. We have done that and obeyed his word and do his will and he will rapture us out of here before the tribulation. The Holy Ghost is holding back till Jesus comes to get his bride.

I think this is our promise from God.. No matter who we are in life and how people perceive us, he will also accept us... some of mankind who have all the riches on earth and are praised by many men mean nothing in the kingdom of God.. Unless they accept him first.. And once you open your heart to him it's all or nothing.. You either are or, you aren't.. And deceiving him is the ultimate sin because then you're cast away.. And never let another man stand in the way of your relationship with God because he is the almighty and he will always protect you no matter what. He wants everything that is good for you...never let the fear and temptation that the world can put on you jeopardize your integrity and devolution.... he will be with you on every step of the way.. God bless you.. Hope to see you all at the end..

I think the Open door was set as a result of what the people have done. One cannot have a door without a building, so the people had done some building and regard to that, Christ says I will put the door of this building. The open door was a reward of their works. God bless you us as we work faithfully in his vineyard. Amen

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

John 10:28 When Jesus said I give unto my sheep eternal life, and they shall never perish. This is the doctrine of eternal security, and no one can take the salvation from anyone who has been born into the family of God. Now believers can lose their rewards. Revelation 3:10 Jesus tells the churches to see that no man take your reward. Jesus is the door for the sheep. There is only one way to the Father, and that is through Jesus. All others trying to get to the Father without going through the door are thieves, and robbers. The passage in Hebrews 6 is talking about people who have crucified the Lord of glory, these are not Christians. Jesus said you must be born again to inherit the Kingdom of God. If any man is in Christ, he is a new creation, and the old is gone, while the new man is formed. When one is a Christian he is dead to sin, and raised to new life in Christ. Paul said I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, but the life I live by faith in the Son of God who loves me, and gave Himself for me. Jesus is our advocate before the Father. So we are secure in Jesus Christ our Savior.

God cannot stand a christian who is lukewarm. Either he or she be hot or cold. The lukewarm church made Him sick in His stomack. God warns us of lukewarmness and tells us to be aware of this happening to us in our christain experience with Him
  • Garyloyd on Revelation 3 - 12 years ago
Someone told me Rev.3:10 was where they get to fly away. This verse is speaking of the "elect". They escape because they were sealed with the truth and didn't bow down to instead of Christ, or antichrist. This is not speaking of a church someone belongs to. It is an example of a great church to attend. But God`s set a side ones, "Church" will be here. All will changed in a twinkle of an eye. The Lord Jesus only comes at the LAST TRUMP! When antichrist gets here just pinch yourself, hurt, your flesh. If Gods Chosen children are going to be here to stand against satan as it is written how can the rapture people think they will fly? They say, why we don't have to read Gods Revelation we`ll all be gone. Yup! You will be gone if you don't read Gods words.
