Alex1939...The New Jerusalem is the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of God is gonna be with in us in the form of the H.G...The manchild which is gonna rule all nations... Hebrews 12:22...But you are come unto Mount Zion the city of the living God..( the kingdom ) That Heavenly Jerusalem...to a great host of angels...James not only will the New Jerusalem touch the New Earth its gonna be married to Jesus...I saw the New Jerusalem coming down from heaven prepared as a bride adorned for her husband..

.....Rev.11:15...The Kingdoms of this world are become the Kingdoms of our Lord and his Christ and he shall reign for ever and ever...James the New Earth and the New Heaven is simply our New hearts and New Spirits which is the H.G...The mystery of the Kingdom of God is Christ in us...And that Christ in us is the H.G....Abide in me and i in you...Isaiah says as the New Heaven and the New Earth shall remain so shall thy seed and name remain...Which is the H.G. that can only come in his name and via his seed...the living words...Remember Jesus said the Father will send the H.G. in my name And Jesus refers to the H.G. as the Kingdom.

James... Jesus said outta of the hearts of man proceeds all manner of evil..There was none righteousness no not one...Mankind is of the earth earthy...And its mans adamic nature ( the flesh ) which is the very enemy of God...And this is the earth that God wants to destroy...Which is his baptism of the H.G n fire as our God is a consuming fire...As Jesus said every man will have his part in the lake of FIRE and thats what we need is his baptism of the H.G. n Fire...But his fire is a life giving fire as he said i come not to destroy mens lives but to save mens lives...Our old adamic nature which is in rank with Satan is the richman that feels the flames destroying heat...Remember Jesus rebuked James and john when they wanted to call a literal fire down on the Samaritans...All we need is his baptism of the H.G. Giving us a New Heart n a New Spirit.

Hello James. It is my understanding that the new city will be established on the new Earth. The removal of the old Earth, sky & seas are done for the purpose of a full cleansing from the stain of corruption that permeated everything. The New Jerusalem is indicative of a fresh beginning with Satan & his henchmen locked away permanently.

Hello James. Sorry to read of your poor health & the confusions & contradictions that are overwhelming you. I would hold onto the Lord Jesus' Words: to 'come to Him if you're over-laden with the cares, concerns & burdens of this life - He promises His rest to all who come.' ( Matthew 11:28). Even in ill-health & hopelessness, Jesus' Peace can over-rule our hearts & minds & give us a certainty of His involvement in our lives & a future where heart-ache & pain will be no more. ( John 14:27; John 16:33; Philippians 4:6,7; Revelation 21:3,4).

And that is wonderful, that you are persisting in reading God's Word, for therein are the words of Truth & Life. The Promises of God are "yea & in Him Amen" (i.e. they are certain & will not fail); I pray that you will really come to the point of placing your complete trust & hope in Jesus, for He truly is the Answer, the only Answer, to all of our sins, sorrows, hopes & dreams.

    To your questions:

    a. I think you're quoting Revelation 22:4, "And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads." I picked this verse, as the verses that give the mark of the beast don't apply to the believer in Christ, for if he were present at that time & faithful to the Lord & not to Satan, he would refuse that mark and bear the consequences. In Revelation 22:4, I can't be sure whether there is a physical imprint of Jesus' Name there, or this verse speaks metaphorically. Just as how the mark of the Anti-Christ will be made to appear on all those who wish to follow him & continue to live & not die under his rule.

    Leviticus Chapter 15 continued

No, we enter heaven with a resurrection body that us our earthly body purified, changed to be incorruptible and immortal, freed from the sinful nature, and completely restored to the perfection of Adam and Eve before the fall.

This chapter reminds me that we all needed to be cleansed by the washing of the word and the blood of Jesus to be acceptable in the sight of the Father. We should not want to bring our filthy bodies, soiled clothing, nor stained handiwork to present ourselves before God. The bathing in this chapter reminds me of the cleansing power of the Word, the washing of the clothing reminds me of the white raiment of Christ's righteousness we are clothed with, and the cleansing of any of our handiwork reminds of doing every work unto the glory of God.

The Israelites were instructed how to be cleansed in such a way to stand in the tabernacle before God. The idea of being unclean until evening (which is the beginning of the new day for the Israelites) reminds me that whenever we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from sin, thus starting anew just as the Israelites could start their new day clean before God having completed the requirements of this chapter. Behold, I make all things new! ( Revelation 21:5)

"even so let us walk in the newness of life" ( Romans 6:5) just as Jesus was raised to life from the dead.

    Revelation 2:12-29.

    Part 1.

We know spirit of the world is prideful and causes partiality obviously racially and also economically. "That is the world" A carnal or false Christian will hide this in their heart also. When we see a Christian slip into this, we should talk to him in a way scripture tells us to.

When we see the world do what it has been doing since the world began and will continue until Christ return, we shouldn't act surprised and use the opportunity to open scripture.

"Pergamos". Pergamum ("married") - from the Greek word pergamos, which is a combination of two Greek words: pergos and gamos. These words combine to mean either "citadel" or "united by marriage.

You will find the world has influenced Church because they joined it.

I have visited 3 different types of churches. A predominantly white church. A predominantly black church and a mixed church. I have seen the same level of partiality in all 3 Churches from a leadership position. This obviously can stunt the spiritual growth of a church.

What is sad is that don't necessarily define the lukewarm group.

That represents the Cold members, probably the false Christian. However, this group can probably be reached easier than the next group.

This is the group that don't say anything because they like the numbers, position, praise or just don't have that fight in them or don't care. these numbers, praises, and comfort cause them to say I'm in need of nothing. Therefore, this group love their Lukewarm comfortable position.

How do we witness to a world that doesn't fill they need to change, Afterall what can we tell them if we look and sound the way they do? They look for a president, ruler or Government to change the world.

    We're looking for Revelation 21:1-4.

Some hold the view the millennium kingdom has already started and it up the church to prepare the way before Christ returns.

That is not a view I hold but we are not getting into that here.

    any help or comments welcomed

    1John 4:18, Revelation 21:6-8, 1John 4:1-3,

Do you believe John 3:16 ? Do you believe GOD can heal? Do you believe GOD can change everything? Do you believe man who spoke those words over you, or GOD ALMIGHTY that created you!? Be Healed be delivered

    Trust GOD

    James 1:5, Romans 10:17, James 4:7, Luke 11:9-13,

Nick 34, You're saying only when you pray or read the Bible; the scripture says pray without ceasing 1Thessalonians 5:17. Lay the word on your heart & in your soul, bind on your hand, in front of your eyes, to talk about them often, with your children when sitting, walking along, when laying down, the WORD of GOD, Deuteronomy 11:18-20, Psalms 119:11,

Is it a spiritual attack to keep you from reading, praying & learning of a Loving Creator our Loving Father in Heaven? Or is it the HOLY Spirit bringing conviction of sin? If it's not peace that is present, your relationship needs work, possibly. Even Isaiah a Prophet of GOD, had to repent to be close to GOD's presence: Isaiah 1:6, These should be helpful

Hello Robo, how certain do you feel about this?

Have you considered Revelation 21:6-7? God the Father appears to also say He's the Alpha and Omega and He says "I will be his God, and he shall be my son."

Also, besides Revelation 22:13 Jesus saying He's first and last, God the Father also says he's first and last in Isaiah 48:12.

Also peculiar is how Jesus in Isaiah 9:6 is called "The mighty God" and "The everlasting Father."

I think its likely that the 3 are more 'one' than separate. There is only one God and we're talking about micro separations or personalities within the one God. And the most separation that occurred was temporarily when the Son transformed into a temporary man. This is where Jesus prayed to the Father, but people make inferences and draw assumptions based on that as if that's status quo, when in reality it's not. The Son is a spirit (not a man) that has always been John 1:1-3 and is one with the Father. I think many times God or LORD is used in the Bible is likely talking about the Godhead or trinity. That is why it says 'we' and 'us' plural.

    Revelation 21 continued

As we enter into verse 8; we have the first of several statements as to the fate of the wicked.

It is hard to even bear thinking about these things without pleading to God for strength. We notice the cowardly state as being the first sin mentioned. We can't do it without the Lord as Peter attempted to do with bravado without the Spirit. Without Him we can do nothing. As we see a parallel verse in Isaiah 66:24 we see the state of man either in hades during the Millennium or during the eternal state. We see how God's mercy and forgiveness are only for when they are in this life; and we also see how they will be an abhorrence to all that see them. There is no way to overstate here how important hearing God's voice is at the present above all of life's distractions and temptations and comforts. I can't see how anyone no matter how mature they are in the Lord isn't broken when considering these things; and ever grateful that God saved them from this unspeakable horror.

The rest of the chapter basically describes heaven coming down to earth and it's dimensions and foundation stones. Again; as stated previously when we consider the affect of a city almost the size of the moon landing on the earth surely the edges would be pressed out and likely the mantle would expose itself to the surface which would allow lava (i.e. the lake of fire) to be outside the gates. We see this also in other verses where Christ warns that heaven will be seen but "you yourselves thrust out" ( Luke 13:28).

There will be some existence of kings on the earth; whether it symbolizes those of the church or those perhaps who lived through the Millennium period bringing glory and honor into it. The doors are not shut day and night (implying that even if the light of the sun and moon aren't NEEDED they still may exist). Again; the last verse is a terrifying reminder that unsaved people will not enter or be able to. They are locked forever in sin.

Scientists understand very little , God hid from them his creation it says in the scriptures, he knows what they would do if they had it .

Men are deceived into thinking they can do almost any thing . Scriptures tell us we can not change the color of our hair , why worry about the rest ?

I often think God must laugh at man's vain attempts. How about climate change for example

Have no faith in men or their logic . It's all vanity . In light of truth .

    Revelation 21 Eternity

I would like to look at this book with a LITERAL approach. When we consider the verse in 2 Peter 3:10 we see the same word for smallest particle (signifying an atom) as being dissolved.

Scientists; of course understand the basic structure of the atom and that it is held together by various forces; but ultimately don't understand WHY these exist; along with the concept of decay and or death based on the 2nd law of thermodynamics; gravity; and of course what happened BEFORE the universe came into existence. It seems clear here that when this event occurs; that there is a reconfiguration of the solid matter; and such a fire would immediately vaporize the oceans. (verse 1). When we see in verse 2 a city with these literal dimensions coming down to earth that would facilitate a final change in the structure of the earth and clearly make Jerusalem visible worldwide (being over 1000 miles high.)

Since God follows a logical sequence; we see how when in the vial judgments all life in the sea perished; we have a lifeless ocean that is now completely removed. The prophecy in Ezekiel 47:10-12 shows how fish proliferate in the inland sea area of the Dead Sea during the Millennium and likely beyond as well; with water from the heavenly city brining fresh water to revitalize things (as already is starting to occur).

Verses 3 through 4 show how until this point tears are still part of the lives at least of mortal men. Those who are righteous and stand before the throne seeing all these things happen at the last judgment surely will be overcome with emotion. Their tears are wiped away; and finally there is no mor death; mourning; crying or pain. This reflects 1 Cor 15:26 and an even earlier verse in Hosea where death is finally defeated is mentioned later in the same chapter (v. 55-57). Again; some to justify doctrines try to make these passages symbolic.

How can we not do violence to scriptures doing this?
  • Giannis - In Reply on Revelation 20 - 3 years ago
    Hello Richard.

The theory that the millenium started since the begining of the church era and stretches till nowadays (and goes further on) is not new. It is a doctrine in Eastern Orthodox Chistianity. They believe that the 1000 year period is not a litteral period of time but it is figurative. and all events described are also figurative

Why do they think that? They rely on the verses in 2 Peter 3:8-10. "(8) But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.(10) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."

In verse 10 it says that the day of the Lord will come when everything (ie earth and sky) will be burned away. But that time occurs at the end of the millenium.( Revelation 21:1).It is when everything old goes away and new earth and heavens are created. So they consequently reject the theory of a pretribulation rapture.

What could be the answer to that? A possible answer (that my church believe is right) is that what is called "the day of Lord" is not literally a day or a specific time but a period of time. A period during which all the events leading to the complete ending of this world will take place, stretching from the pretribulation rapture to the White Throne. It seems that there is no other solution since we have to combine 3 different events in one "day". (a)The rapture, which for me is clear enough that will take place when things in the world are still going well. (b)The second coming of Jesus on earth. We know that time, it is at the end of the 7th week. (c)The distruction of the old universe.

Hi Alex. In Matthew 4:8-10, we read, "Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."

In this specific test that Satan placed before Jesus, we note that Jesus didn't oppose Satan on the point of "All these things will I give thee", but on the point of 'falling down & worshipping him (Satan)'. Even though God is the Creator & Sustainer of the World & will always have full authority over all His Creation, the advent of sin into mankind which also affects the rest of creation, Satan is now in the seat of control over the hearts & minds of men ( 2 Timothy 2:26; 1 John 5:19). He has captivated our hearts by the deceitfulness of sin, men given over wholly to him, and only by the presentation of the Life-giving Gospel can those same sinners have a spark of Holy Light enter in that can upset Satan's plans & strong grip.

So, presently the World is under Satan's control & deception, as he blinds hearts & minds to the Truth of the Gospel, but God still has the final say & of course the ultimate victory when Satan will one day be bound & destined to that eternal flame and the new heavens & earth arrive, without the stain of corruption ( Revelation 20:10-15; Revelation 21:1-3).

    Brother James:

    They are the same; BUT,

    Christ spoke other words ALSO:

And ALL CHRIST'S Words will COME TO PASS.

Ezekiel 18:31 Cast away from you all your transgressions; whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a NEW heart and a NEW spirit: for WHY WILL YE DIE, O house of Israel?

This QUESTION has to be ANSWERED: so we will ONLY DIE ONCE, and that DEATH happens while we stand on our own two feet.

Revelation 21:5 .....I make ALL THINGS NEW ....

So there will be a NEW MT. OLIVE: that is in NEW Jerusalem, a city made of LIVING stones, and a NEW temple therein.

This NEW PLACE, where God DWELLS is YOU.

Hebrews 9:27 For it is appointed to man ONCE TO DIE; but after this the JUDGEMENT.

Remember, ALL things have been made NEW.

Christ has BUILT a NEW HOUSE.

Hebrews 3:4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that build (ready done) ALL THINGS is God.

Hebrews 3:6 But Christ as a son over HIS OWN HOUSE, whose HOUSE WE ARE ...the NEW house of God, where God dwells.

    What is this NEW judgement.

1 Peter 4:17 FOR THE TIME IS COME (Christ second coming, as the Holy Ghost, to LIVE is his NEW house: YOU) that JUDGEMENT must begin at the (NEW) house of GOD.

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once OFFERED (in the flesh) to bear the sins of many (first coming); and unto them who LOOK FOR HIM (the thief in the night) he shall APPEAR the SECOND TIME (second coming, like a thief in the night) without sin UNTO SALVATION.

This house, our body, already has someone; the spirit of deception, that old serpent the devil, living in it; so that inhabitant has to DIE to make way for the NEW:

Colossians 1:27 ...this mystery ...Christ in you ...

Matthew 12:28 But if I (the NEW man, Christ IN YOU) by the SPIRIT of GOD (TRUTH) cast out (kill, destroy) devils (the spirit of lies and deception, that live in MY HOUSE) then the Kingdom of God HAS COME TO YOU.

Remember ALL THINGS have been made NEW, but you CANNOT see them with eyes of flesh.

God Bless YOU, the body of Christ

Hi James. Are you referring to Genesis 28:17, "And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven." This story is about Jacob who had a dream & the LORD had spoken to him. Therefore, upon his awakening he believed that the place he was at was at the threshold (or, gate) of Heaven.

There are references to other gates in Revelation 21:10-14 but these pertain to the New Jerusalem (not Heaven) prepared of God to be placed on the new Earth, an Earth where sin & its stain will no more be found. Were you thinking of another Scripture?

Does the word "Fearful" mean the same in Mark 4:40 as it does in Revelation 21:8?

Why is the word used in the same context, in Rev. 21, as the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars?
  • S Spencer - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Hi earl.

here in revelation 22:11 it says let him holy or unjust ect...still!

earl this suggests after this lifetime and after judgment.

( he that is unjust, let him be unjust "still:" and he which is filthy, let him be filthy... "still:"... and he that is righteous, let him be righteous... "still":... and he that is holy, let him be holy "...still".)

    revelation 22:14-15 verifies that!

" blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life,...and may enter in through the gates into the city.....

"for without" are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie."

"after" this life some will remain righteousness that will enter in through the gates into the city.

and there are some who will remain unjust " the dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie." who will be without the city.

and revelation 21:8 tells us where they're going!

"but the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

also: revelation 20:13-15 states "and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works." this suggests after this life!!

daniel spoke of this in daniel 12:2 "and many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt."

this also suggests 2 groups after this life in an everlasting condition! ( unjust still and righteous still.)

jesus makes reference to 2 groups, 2 destinations after this life in

    matthew 25:41-46.

and it's everlasting not a refining fire!!

come on earl let's humble ourselves and not get in the way of this great truth.
  • S Spencer - In Reply - 3 years ago
Thanks Earl but again we disagree on all those scriptures you presented.

You asked "What does the overcomer, overcome" as if all overcome. Nowhere in scripture presents this.

We would be revisiting a pass discussion where this was put to rest using these scriptures: Revelation 20:1-15. and Revelation 22:10-11.

( The so-called refining fire you're presenting has already past back in Revelation 20:1-15. )

By the time we get to these verses we have the outcome of two groups with separate destinations.

    Revelation 22:10-11

And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: FOR THE TIME IS AT HAND.

(Yet there still remains the unjust AFTER JUDGMENT. )

HE THAT IS UNJUST, LET HIM BE UNJUST STILL: AND HE WHICH IS FILTHY, LET HIM BE FILTHY STILL:................AND HE THAT IS RIGHTEOUS, LET HIM BE RIGHTEOUS STILL: AND HE THAT IS HOLY, LET HIM BE HOLY STILL.

    Revelation 22:14-15

"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city............

FOR WITHOUT ARE DOGS, AND SORCERERS, AND WHOREMONGERS, AND MURDERERS, AND IDOLATERS, AND WHOSOEVER LOVETH AND MAKETH A LIE.

Again everyone doesn't overcome. Revelation 21:7 is one group. Revelation 21:8 is another.
  • S Spencer - In Reply - 3 years ago
    Earl / Old man Wilson.

    Revelation 21:7 contradicts your view.

HE THAT OVERCOMETH shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

    ( THAT'S ONE GROUP)

The conjunction "BUT" seems to separate 2 groups.

    (HERE'S THE OTHER GROUP.)

BUT the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

In the parable of the talents in Matthew 25; we see the servant who hid his talent ended up losing what he had or thought he had and ending up in outer darkness; or likely hell. The same parable in Luke 19 ends in losing his reward; but possibly still making it into the Kingdom; unlike the enemies to be killed before Him who didn't want Him to rule ( Luke 19:27). There are different interpretations here; with the end in particular a reference to national Israel who would ultimately reject and crucify Christ and in the end times be destroyed either by Antichrist Himself or at Christ's return with the rest of wicked mankind.

We see here in both instances someone who is essentially a coward; and in some sense not understanding how the Spirit of the Lord works; but fearing the consequences of wrong actions. This brings to mind in the Matthew parable the warning in Revelation 21:8. My own interpretation here may be off; and I will be open to correction. It seems like the opposite of those who are doing all these things in Christ's name and He says "I never knew you" ( Matt. 25:12). Gifts and heavenly treasure are to be used for the Master's service; as He states elsewhere if you cannot be trusted with earthly riches then how can we with heavenly treasure ( Luke 16:11). Of course this includes money; but goes on to reflect all of our God given potential and unique traits as to how God made us and spiritual giftings.

There is; especially today; a variety of ways those who are professing believers can fellowship; and plenty who are spiritually bankrupt either playing the part as a tare; or seriously compromised by living as Lot did in Sodom. Note that God still stated that he was vexed with the evil ( 2 Peter 2:8). But he made a poor choice by settling in there; with the world and it cost him most of his family; and all his possessions. He would escape as through the fire; but lose any real reward ( 1 Cor. 3:15).
