Check this out, this is so cool when you see it this way,

    OVERCOMETH

To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life

He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it

he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
28 And I will give him the morning star.

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

I like the book of Revelation because it reveals the top secrets of God concerning the future in this world and the world to come.

God is speaking to everyone who read and listen to the words of his prophecy, and keep the things that were written in the bible God's word for the time of his appearing is near. The enemy of God is so busy with his dilusion to attract our minds with entertainment and cares of this world to loss our attention to heavenly things. Satan knows that His time is so short so he has to work overtime. Hope we all fucosed our hearts and minds to the heavenly things that are eternal, not on worldly things that are corruptible. God bless everyone.

In this chapter of Psalms 1, being God is our Saviour God is reminding us being a believer in Christ that we should not allowed ourselves to walk in the counsel of ungodly and even standeth in the way of sinners. But ratherly our delight is in the law of the Lord to concentrate on the word of God by meditating the content of the Bible, by reading and live what we read and heard. ( Revelation 1:3) ( Joshua 1:8)

We have to submit our will to the word of God, because there is power in the word of God. God cannot control our will, God gave us freewill to do what is right and what is wrong. That is why in the garden of eden when God commanded Adam not to eat the fruit in the middle coz if he will eat of it he will surely die. But inspite of God's reminder the flesh was eagerly react to do the will of man, instead of the will of God.

This remind us that even in our time the Bible tells us that we should submit our will to the word of God and not to the will of man otherwise our ways will lead us into into vain.

    Godbless us all...

  • John Mushawatu on Revelation 1:10 - 12 years ago
The Lord's day is obviously the Sabbath day (Saturday)for Jesus says I am also the Lord of the Sabbath confirming that he was party to its creation from the beginning. Sunday is not the Lord's day. In any case his resurrection may not have been on this day to carry that title as those who went out to witness found him not rising but already risen and probably the rising had occured end of day saturday.

In the days of Noah God drowned everything on this planet, His message, I am "God Almighty". His messege in Revalations is I am God Almighty and everyone will acknowledge it. The beginning and the end.

  • Vincent Aja on Matthew 15 - 12 years ago
I do believe that we are still taking the words of God out of their contexts simply because we do approach the Bible with our minds already made up with denominational doctrines. Otherwise something written in a plain English text shows that the Lord Jesus` accepting to be worshipped proved Him to be God ( John 20:28, Revelation 1:17-18). Another truth that this passage has also displayed is that the Jews were the FIRST CHURCH ( Acts 7:38), and that the Kingdom of God belongs to them because of the “Covenants” that God had made with their father, and again what the Syrophenician woman displayed here is that through faith the Gentiles will receive mercy and be part of the Kingdom of God. It is very wrong for anybody to teach that God has taken the Kingdom away from the Jews and gave it to the Gentiles. The only way that we can harmonize the Word of God is when we begin to crosscheck what was said in one place with another; and not apply theories to the words of God. For example what the Lord Jesus said here was in agreement with John 4: 22 where He says that, salvation is of the Jews, and in the same manner the Apostle Paul had followed Him with that tone. He disapproved every theory that the Kingdom was taken from the Jews for he always said, of the Jews first then the Gentiles Romans 1:16, etc.

Well I believe both, tv and eye. But let's remember what will be taking place. The two witnesses are killed where all can see. They stand up and tell everybody that this instead of Christ or anti Christ is not the true Christ and satan acting like Jesus, sitting where he is not supposed to be and playing as if he were God strikes them dead and all the world see it. So it's on t.v. And then they the heathen who worship him will have a party time. Not me I wait for the true Christ and scripture says in a few days the Lion comes dropping hail stones of 100 lbs on their heads at the gathering place. Yes, I will be watching on t.v.
  • Mas on Revelation 1 - 12 years ago
    @Paul,
Please note that Jesus return shall not need any cameras, because just as you said, “all eye shall see him” face to face. No one will ever have time to broadcast, or to watch the tv. Everyone shall be concerned about his/her situation with the lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 17:24 “For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day”.
Just like the Sun is instantly visible to huge parts of the earth, shall the coming of the Son of man be instantly visible to the whole world.
  • Paul on Revelation 1:7 - 12 years ago
The scriptures say "all eyes will see Him" Revelation 1:7, and I believe the WAY that will happen is the SAME WAY "all eyes" saw videos of the meteor in Russia. All it takes is, ONE person holding up his iPhone in the right spot, capturing Jesus second coming, broadcasting that moment LIVE to all 4 corners of the world. Paul.
  • FLORENCE on Revelation 1 - 12 years ago
Awesome truth. We better measure up, this will happen. Names shall be removed from the book of life for not believing what the word says and living accordingly. Hebrews 4 said the angles lost their first estate because of unbelief.

This has helped me so much! I started reading this when my dad told me about this website. I am just so thankful to the Lord right now. Last night I prayed for the Lord to heal me of my sickness and worries I even started to cry. I am so happy now even if it’s 2:36 Am in my time! I am 12 years old and I am proud to be a Christian.

  • Nancy on Revelation 1:1 - 12 years ago
Out of all these definitions on Revelation 1:1, you got every word correct. No one sees the truth because they have a problem with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ being our precious God and Creator. There is one verse that sticks out in my mind, who did Paul preach? Jesus. Read Acts 17:23. This is just one of many.

    I love this chapter.
  • Dennis Thompson on Revelation 1 - 12 years ago
It’s amazing. When you read instructions it always sets the standard in the beginning. Revelation 1 does the same thing. It is written about who Jesus is. It is written in signs (symbolism). It is written to the 7 churches in Asia that were going through great persecution, of things which soon must take place. It was not written directly to you or I, but to those members and it is not written 2000 years into the future.

What comment is someone like me to say. Even life is too much to ask but it was given to me brothers and sisters. The bible speaks for itself. Know that God is the Almighty and ever living God and yes!!! The one that is, has been, is and will be. The only and most high Almighty God. I am wondering though sands and heat trying to find the Great God and build a personal relationship with God and I tell you the truth I do not know him. And how can you find what is there for you. So to be well, love each other and I know it's hard in this world but know that we as mankind are blessed to be alive we have a chance for the great gift of everlasting life. So stay on the narrow road, keep looking, never stop praying Our Lord God. Jesus has saved us all. Bless him and the Father who sent him. I follow him he is my master but I have much so to learn, so much.

  • Triciel on Revelation 1 - 12 years ago
I believe that an angel from GOD gave John, GOD's servant, insight/visions of what will take place, shortly to each of the seven churches that were in Asia because GOD's Word is true and his people have lost their first love. They have closed their eyes to the truth, to the commands of GOD, to the testimony of Jesus Christ who died for our sins and will return as King over the earth forever. Woe to those of the earth.
  • Jay on Luke 9 - 12 years ago
@ doris comment on verse 28-36: 1. these verses is giving the reader a glimpse at the great tribulation period and 2nd advent as we find in mathew 17:1-13. 2. these two witnesses can also be found in revelation 11:3-12. 3. as you read the revelation account of these witnesses you will notice verse 6 will give a detail description of identification of who they are from the old testament account of the miracles they performed. 4. in revelation 11:4 the 2 olive trees represents the miracle of eternal life (olive oil=holy spirit), and the 2 candlesticks represents the true church ( revelation 1:20) that is responsible for giving out the gospel of salvation.

What I think about Revelation is, warning comes before destruction. The word says that behold I came quickly and my reward is with me. Please read Revelation 22:21.
  • Arjay on Revelation 1 - 12 years ago
I want to be a servant of God. This massage of God from me I keep in my heart; “Behold, I will come again, and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also”.
  • Jennine DuPree on Revelation 1:8 - 12 years ago
I believe in the supreme almighty God, the one and only, there’s none other like him. Even Yeshua said don't call me good for there is none that is good but God the Father. I've mourned in the spirit like the prophets of old, I did it. Daniel10, Ezekiel 1, 2, 3 and 4th chapter tell of walking a closer walk with God. Even the angels fear to walk. When a person sees the glory of our Lord, like Saul/Paul, he/she will never be the same; like me and others would like. God Bless.
