JESUS is LORD, God with biblical proofs, no Trinity
Old Testament Prophesy of Isaiah is very important, as his prophecy was fulfilled in the New Testament and revealed the name of God, whose name was kept secret in the Old Testament:
Isaiah 44:6 6Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Isaiah 7:14 - Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
New Testament Prophet Isaiah prophecy fulfilled.
Matthew 1:24 Context 21And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Apostle John in Revelation
Revelation 1:8 - 9 8I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. 9I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 22:13 13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Revelation 1:17 - 18 17And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Hebrews 11 is a testament about the old testament saints; but pay close attention to verses 39 and 40.
Hebrews 11:39-40 And these all (old testament saints), having obtained a good report through (the work of the Spirit of Christ or the Holy Ghost which is) faith, received not the promise (eternal life, incorruption, immortality):
(vs) 40 God (Spirit) having provided some better thing for us (children of the resurrection), that they (old testament saints) without us (children or the resurrection) should not be made perfect (complete in the Spirit of Christ or the Holy Ghost who only hath immortality 1 timothy 6:16).
John 11:25 ..... I am the resurrection......
Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us ( old testament saints, children or the resurrection and Christ) up together......
Revelation 20:5 .... this is the first resurrection....
Matthew 27:52-53 And the graves were opened; and many of the bodies of the (old testaments) saints which slept (died waiting for the promise) arose,
(vs) 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city (new Jerusalem)......
Revelation 7:1-4 (vs) 3 ......till we (Spirit) have sealed our servants (old testament) saints in their foreheads (given them the mind of Christ)......
Revelation 14:4 .......these (old testament saints) were redeemed from among men, being the FIRST FRUITS unto God.....
Revelation 1:3 .... for the time is at hand...
May the Spirit grace you with his wisdom.
"Unicorn" occurs 6 times in 6 verses in the KJV, including 6 exact phrases shown first.
Num 23:22
God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.
Num 24:8
God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.
Box Job 39:9
Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?
Job 39:10
Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
Psa 29:6
He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.
Psa 92:10
But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
so what is going on?
a. the Grave. A place of bodily rest & decay. Acts 2:29-31.
b. a place of punishment for the wicked. Luke 16:20-23; Matthew 11:23.
c. a temporary place for the righteous dead. Luke 16:23-26. The Luke account seems to indicate that hades had two areas separating the righteous from the wicked in death. But after Jesus' death & resurrection, the righteous are no longer held there, being justified by faith, for which the Cross provided the means now which they didn't have before Christ's death.
Hades will always oppose Christ's Church ( Matthew 16:18); it must be distinguished from being just synonymous with death ( Revelation 6:8); it will one day be destroyed ( Revelation 20:13,14); Jesus has the 'keys' to it ( Revelation 1:18); & it is remains now only a temporary place of the unbelieving dead, as the Apostle Paul believed that Hades would not be his destiny, but Heaven ( 2 Corinthians 5:8).
John 6:63 ....... the words that I ( 1 Peter 1:11,the Spirit of Christ or 1 Peter 1:21,the Holy Ghost or 2 Samuel 23:1-2, the Spirit of the Lord or Revelation 19:10,the words of Jesus) speak unto you, they (words) are spirit, and they (words) are life.
The day of the Lord is prophecy about a spiritual day; but, a day in spiritual time is not necessarily a day in natural time ( 2 Peter 3:8).
Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterwards (after the day of the Lord), that I (Spirit) will will pour my spirit upon all flesh......
Since the Spirit (Holy Ghost) was poured out on all mankind at pentecost; therefore, the day of the Lord begin at pentecost and is continuing to this day 2000 years later in natural time; but, only one day in spiritual time.
Second witness:
Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon (symbolic of Christ)..... Psalm 89:35-36 And it (the throne of Christ, from the proceeding verse) shall be established forever as the moon, and as a FAITHFUL WITNESS in heaven...... Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the FAITHFUL WITNESS.......into blood before the terrible (wonderful) day of the Lord (pentecost) come.
Revelation 6:12 And I beheld when he (the Lamb) had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth hair, and the moon (symbolic of Christ) became as blood.....
Matthew 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
Matthew 27:51 ........and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent.
John 19:34 ...and forthwith came there blood and water.
Revelation 8:1 And when he (the Lamb) had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half hour (spiritual time not natural time)
This time was the time between Christ resurrection and the day of the Lord (pentecost)
Daniel 12:11-12 45 days between vs 11 and 12
I recently did a study on Abrahams family and did see the rest of Hagars story. She returned to her family's land and never married.
Abraham did wed again after Sarah's death.
If you are referring to the 7 churches; yes they were real assemblies of people during the time of what is referred to as the "Early Church"
Rather, than repeat what I wrote earlier, I would add here: that the early Church may have picked the First Day of the Week as the day to come together to worship the Lord in remembrance of their Saviour's resurrection on that day, as well as a show of further segregation from the Jewish Law. Of course, the Sabbath was being adhered to by the Jews, & indeed by Paul in his ministry to them (as in Acts 17:2). But it appears that believers no longer observed the Sabbath for worship (maybe it was still a day of rest though), but they came together on the first day of the week ( Acts 20:7), now being referred to as the Lord's Day ( Revelation 1:10).
In ministry in Pakistan, Friday is the Muslim's rest day & for a more dedicated worship & preaching in the mosque. As Christians, we had to fall in line with this day & so our corporate worship time in a Church Fellowship fell on a Friday. Some Churches still held a Sunday service, though that was not well attended, as most were required to work. So, any day that is selected can be used as a corporate day of worship, seeing that for the Christian, every day is alike to come before the Lord; but as ordered by the Lord, one day in the week still needs to be set aside as rest, for the health & recuperation of the mind & body. So I find it strange that an insistence for a Christian having to observe a Saturday Sabbath as necessary, as the Jews do, when that is not only meaningless for us but also demonstrates one placing himself back under the Law. I also wonder how well that believer observes the Sabbath: does he refrain from buying, or working in the garden, or dealing with an urgent repair job at home?
To your other question on observing the correct day of rest from the days of Adam & Eve, I wrote about this earlier.
From the time of Israel's exodus out of Egypt, they learned which day was the actual Sabbath: Exodus 16:25-27, when they found no manna on the ground on that day. Ever since then, the count was on: 6 days work - 1 day rest, right up to the time of Jesus when He observed the same Sabbath, indeed He did 'work' in it, saying that the Sabbath was created for man & not the other way around.
So the Sabbath was a specific day of rest for the Jews. And it could fall on that day as well, or any other day, for non-Jews. The important point was that man took the day off to cease from his labours for both physical & spiritual recuperation. Where this observance becomes a problem for Christians, is the compulsion by some that we too are bound to a Jewish Saturday Sabbath, & by extension, full obedience to the Law, which none could keep. This Law was not a sign to Christians but to the Jew who was under the Law. Hear what Paul says pertaining to the Law & the Christian: Romans 3:19-22; Galatians 3:21-25; Galatians 4:21-26; Galatians 5:16-18.
If the Christian then sets aside Sunday, the Lord's Day ( Revelation 1:10) as a day of rest & worship, he fulfils the need for both. If he chooses any other day as a rest day, does it matter to the Lord? Colossians 2:16,17. If one believes that the keeping of the Sabbath does matter to the Lord, then he shows a misunderstanding of the Law engraven in stones & the Law of the Life-giving Spirit ( Romans 8:2).
To hold the keys to something indicates one's power & authority over it. As an important person may be given the keys to a city, or one has the keys to the home or car, demonstrates the authority, responsibility & trust that is also goes with it.
Of Jesus Who said that He had the "keys of hell & death", likewise shows that he has the authority to lock away for eternity in hell those who are the enemies of the Almighty, as much as he has also given all those who have come to Him in faith for salvation, victory over the sting of death & the grave ( 1 Corinthians 15:55). As Christ was victor over sin & death, all who have put their trust in Him will also enjoy His Power to live for Him on Earth & be raised in victory over death.
